Rudi Garcia did a good job on Pelle, that was the story of the game.

Also let's not forget the players Roma were missing through injury. Their first keeper, world class midfielder DE Rossi, another class mf in Strootman, their great CB duo from last year Castan-Benatia...

Manolas-Mbiwa CB duo ffs, thats not much better than a Nastasic-Boyata duo.

Doesn't matter they missed half of their team, Garcia knew what he wanted and how he wanted it to happen. It wasn't like Roma had to defend on 200% in last 20 minutes. We were on top but hardly created much.

Hart had to react more times to shots this game then their inexperienced keeper.

We made a step into the direction of another CL fiasco, we are not there yet with 4 games to go, but this is how we f****d up 3 years ago in Bayern, Napoli group.
Lose away to Bayern only draw to Italian side at home.

Even if we get 6 points vs CSKA then Roma/Bayern will do the same. Trouble is what if Rome beats Bayern at home. We might need to beat Bayern and Roma both to get trough. That's a disaster because we are not that good for sure given last two CL games .

It does not matter how stronger squad we have than Roma, our tactics and mentality in these games are just not good enough. And there is a pattern here, not just one bad game...

PSG raped Barca, they missed Ibra by the way. They even can go and finish first now maybe ahead of Barca. We are long way to go from finishing ahead of Bayern in our group.

Cant see that we need to spend another 100-200m to be regularly being better than the level of Ajax, Dortmund, Napoli, Roma. They are not the Bayern/Barca/Real level. At the moment we are yet to beat the first group of teams regularly. Why the f**k is that?

Really disappointed in this game, 3 points were crucial and all we got a lame draw. Without hardly testing them. Formation, tactics, mentality, these things doesn't cost money...
Mansour spent more than enough on a team that should reach CL 1/4, 1/2 finals every second year maybe. Now in 4 years if one 1/8 finals is our best that's a joke and the managers aren't doing a pretty good job.

I cant see how we go trough now if we don't get 6 points vs Russians than at least 4 more points vs Bayern/Roma.

Before every CL campaign manager/player say now we finally will show we have what it takes to do a good CL season. And finally we will prove we are up there with the best, or close to them. We just aren't. And we can spend another 100m on the squad and come up with the same s**t displays, since Mancini we spent more than 100m on the squad but this wasn't any better we did vs Ajax, Dortmund or Napoli.
Honestly i would rather have us not play in the Europa league if it comes to that, last year we were banging goals on all competitions I don't know what is the reason for the entire team not playing on that same level.
Balo has the tiger haircut but that's about it. He used to be a wild animal, now he looks more like a tamed animal. Yeah he is focused, less petulant, plays for the team, but his style is contrived. Liverpool will never get many goals from him this way
No disrespect to Milner, he is our best player so far this season, which sums our season at this moment.
http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/29437526
Pelle looked a bit fearful on the sidelines, anyone think he'll be axed if he doesn't do well this season?
I don't think he will be axed even if we get knocked out of the group. He has blessings from Tixi and Soran(Sporting director and CEO).

But if it was somebody else like Mancini, he probably would have been axed.
I think he will certainly be sacked if we are knocked out of the group and don't win the league. That's just the way it is
What happened to our strikers, look at Costa, he runs like a horse and scores goal, our strikers are a yard off than opponent defenders. Augero, except his goals he has not done anything more this season, looks so tired.

We're better team without Navas and Toure. Navas just runs, misplaces passes, that's all. Toure just walks, looses his marker and slows the pace of the game.

Milner and Lampard should be in team before Navas and Toure at this moment. Lampard in attacking position just behind a striker with Fernando and Fernandinhoo at defensive midfield role.

It may be better if we try dynamic 4-3-1-2 and 4-3-3, Silva behind 2 striker and at one side of 4-3-3 when we don't have ball. Playing him on one wing of 4-4-2 system is committing suicide in that flank.
You are on point.
If theirs anyone to blame its MP. His tactics are off, first off not playing a 3 man MF isn't right considering your facing a Roma side with a great core team that let Keita sit in front of the defensive and letting Pjanic and Nainggolan do their magic against a off form Toure and Fernandinho who's confused on what his suppose to do, either defend or attacking. Either way poor guy is doing his and Yaya's job while Yaya is just jogging lightly. Then theirs the defense and playing Demichelis over Mangala. Mangala had a bad game against Hull but his speed, physicality and ability to read the game would have made Kompany's job easier and kept Gervinho out of our bay but like I said before if we start Demichelis against Roma, Gervinho is going to rip him a new one and he did! Where very lucky they didn't get a few more goals. I would have liked to see this line-up.
------Hart-------
Zab--Kom--Man-Clichy
----Lam-Toure-Fern---
--------Silva-----
-----Aguero---Dzeko---

Or even drop Toure and play Milner and Lampard in CM and play Fernandinho is that CDM role to tuck right in behind the defense. I just don't get it from MP, he needs to step it up and drop Toure because his not helping us in CL while Lampard comes on and everything changes. I just don't see this 4-4-2 BS working against Bayern and Roma and for that it cost us when we could have won!!! Its just disappointing when we could have done so much better. I can't wait until Fernando Reges returns.
If we are looking to scrape points from a less challenging opposition to make it out of the group stages what's the sense in making it to the quarter or semi final when we don't have the grit to beat the european big boys. It's been 3 champions league I believe with players that have been in the champions league before smh I expected a bit better this time around, hoping we manage to scrape through the group lol.
Don't know whats going on with City. Yaya playing lazy, Pelligrini's line up was ridiculous against a team like Roma.
Barca vs PSG game saved the day.
The way PSg played I think they would win champions league before us to be honest,
We are not getting it out way recently
Very disappointing
We can barely win a game
Something has to change . I don't know if is tactics or the players don't have
The motivation anymore but something is not right .
In games like that I guess we need special player like Ronaldo , messi or Roben to make the difference .
+1
We still have four more games to play but things aren't looking well at all. Roma thrash CSKA and draw against us while Bayern won both their games. Now City face a must win game against CKSA because Bayern and Roma are going to be tough to face next time around. For me I just miss the old Yaya, he was always our X factor going into big games but now his a shadow of himself, we need that some special and we don't even have that now, while MP makes these annoying late substitutions and once again our MF was outnumbered.
Well we should of won this game...... not a draw or a loss, we should of played for a win and a win only. When the hell is Pelle going to learn?...... Playing 4-4-2 against a dangerous counter attacking team like Roma and why the hell is Demichelis starting in this match?. I didn't get to watch this match, but this result is just annoying....... why do we always make it hard for our selfs. We let Bayern then now Roma slip through our fingers, we might regret this.
^ Easy big guy, we feel your pain.
If Yaya is not going to give 200 percent in the middle our team will never click, he's leaving Fernandinho on his own at times. I don't know if is personal problems are affecting his games but he has been dreadful this season...... It really bothers me, against Bayern I had to wonder what does he bring to our midfield?. Helps like his heart is in somewhere else, I say we start searching for a better CM in January.
