So Rodri deal looks done. Considering Atleti just signed Llorente from Madrid as his replacement. Cancelo is still in talks with the deal said to be 50mil, now 55mil.

As for the CB. As much as I don't want to us spend so much on Maguire, I have feeling we will sign him. His a good CB on his day, comfortable with the ball at his feet just what Pep wants and more importantly his English, which the City ownership and Pep stated already that City will target more English players.
The way he shifts the ball from left to right, really long range of passing and never seems to lose possession. Similar to our fabinho the way he has telescopic legs. Big buy, I'm suprised atletico went for llorente.. So many better options out there
^ Marcus Llorente is no scrub. He did well for Madrid last season but with Casemiro, his going to find it hard to start games. Atleti is just the club for him to get game time and have a breakout year.
He had a good season I just don't see how he will give them that creativity that rodri had, so many chances created from deep from rodri, that element will be missed hugely

Mr. Tebas La Liga president always talks about City spending but he is quiet when his favourite club Real Madrid has already spent over 300mil which can go over 400mil if they land Pogba.

P S Real Madrid also signed the forward Rodrygo for 50mil which is not included in this article.

That b*** is looking out for his league. Like our chairman said, this isn't just an attack on City but the whole of PL.
+3
So jealous you guys got foden, what a goal he just scored. He is a generational talent,
He's our English Iniesta, hope to see him become a City Legend in the future.
Yeah, his terrific, can't wait to see how he does for the England U 21 in the following games. He could really be something special, hope Pep stays for more years to help this kid reach his potential.
English iniesta is actually just how I picture him, no doubt in my mind top three best players in the world in the future.
And we had the Welsh Xavi at one point lol
+1
So looks like where closing in on our first signings:

Joao Cancelo 45-50mil RB
Rodri: 62mil CDM

Rumors of potentially bringing back Angelino from PSV but if he does come back I think City will sell him to another club unless Delph is leaving. Which I doubt.

Also could see us signing a new keeper with Muric set to go on loan to Forest and Bravo still recovering.
I'd sell Delph and keep Zinchenko and Angelino as our Lb's, we don't really have much space in midfield for Delph but we have to meet our English quota so like you said don't think he'll leave.
Loved this interview with the chairman, did anyone see it.

Yup, watched the whole damn thing. Our chairman firing shots at any b***** who wants to try City.

Who remembers Frank Lampard played for us, and was quite effective too :) lol.
Yup, wonderful player. Now lets see how he manages Chelsea.
I hope they give him a chance, they would be absolutely scum to me if they were to sack him in one or two seasons.
I remember he scored against Chelsea but did not celebrate...we tied that game.
90 mil for Harry Maguire? Are you having a laugh, he's worth more than Virgil Van Dijk? Are you having a bigger laugh?
+1
Its a joke. I know City and Pep want another CB but no way in hell. If his worth 90mil, then might as well pay 130mil and buy Koulibaly and his twice the player.

On a serious note. I know it would be a long shot but would love to resign Nastasic as Schalke are willing to offload him to Serie A clubs. Would love to see him return to City.
Nastasic would fit perfectly Pep's system in fact had Pellegrini not sold him, I am 100% certain he would have been Pep's main man in defence because he knows how to play from the back.

Maguire's price tag is that high because he also helps teams meet the British player quota. Rumour is after Brexit teams will be allowed only certain number of EU players and you will have to have more British players.
^ I agree, I could see Nas and Laporte forming a solid partnership, but 90 mil is still ridiculous, English player or not.
Who have you guys got so far, and who will you be getting (or want)?
Rodri in CDM, hoepfully. We badly need another CDM and should be our #1 priority.

CB: I know some think Stones, Otamendi and Laparote will be enough but I don't see Pep feeling assured with only 3 CBs. Even if Fernandinho can play that position, I have a feeling were going to sign another striker. I like Magurie but no way is City going to spend big on Rodri then pay 90mil for Magurie.

RB: Cancelo. We've been linked with him and rumors are that were closing in on him. We do need another RB because if we lose Walker for a long period, were in trouble. Were lucky that his almost always fit but his going to need competition.
B.Silva...what a player!
Damn shame. I knew this day would come. His been one of the finest players I've seen and the finest Spanish player to grace the PL. A model professional as he doesn't say much and just goes about his business. The man deserves a statue outside the Etihad because he could have really gone anywhere else Barca or Madrid and won a lot more trophies with even more recognition but he stayed true to City and never complained. I'm going to miss this legend so much. We need to do everything in this upcoming season to win the UCL. I would love to see Silva go out with a UCl trophy.
okay, whats going on here? he mentioned Bernardo Silva but Moe66 is talking about David Silva leaving next summer?

Just checked its David Silva leaving next summer. Lets win him the champions league trophy so he can leave on a high!

I think its the right move by him considering his form as of late and he always wanted to retire at Las Palmas.

Another legend following legends like Zabaletta, Yaya Toure, Kompany out the door. Aguero is the last man standing.

David Silva will have 400+ games under his belt before he leaves, the most by a City player, not just legend, SUPER legend.
+1
Thought he was talking about David Silva lol

Anyway, did anyone see the way Ronaldo reacted to Bernardo winning the Nations League player of the competition? Lol, he looked so unhappy but then again, Ronaldo didn't even play most of the tournament, he only played in the semis and the finals.
+1
Thats Ronaldo for you...he was always unhappy at Real Madrid if Benzema or Bale scored goals in fact he wouldnt even celebrate with them a lot of times. Most selfish player on planet.
This post gave me headache haha.

@Moe66, I completly agree with you. I was disgustated watching his reaction.. just poor sportmanship right there. Nothing new because I have seen him act that way with RM's players for many years and I never liked it one bit. No doubt that he is truly one of the best players in history, hardwork and determination is out of this world.. it is just that his attitude is just poor s**t and I don't miss him one bit.. infact, rather see Rm go trophyless for a season than win the league with someone who just acts like as if the glory should only go to him.
+1
Lol thats just his competitiveness, which keeps him pushing the boundaries. Even at 34 he wants to win everything as a team and as an individual, that is the attitude of champions ... you cant seriously be hating a player for being more competitive
@Vaaz there is a difference between being competitive and selfish ... Messi Salah Aguero are just as competitive but look at their attitude they even let other teammates take penalties let alone celebrate with them their goals and their individual accomplishments ... Ronaldo is a pure selfish hater, good footballer but the most selfish player to ever walk the pitch.

If i were Bernardo Silva he wouldnt see a single pass from me on the pitch.
@inzizowetrust I honestly can't believe I'm hearing a Real Madrid fan talking about Ronaldo like that. Check yourself bro
