We all like to talk about our forwards but no one mentioned Bravo's performance, the guy made some key saves during that game, especially the one right before our 2nd goal. He looks much better than last season IMO.
I suppose, but tbf we expected that from him last season. Maybe he really lacked confidence and the pace of the league and the pressure on him during his first spell. Although I gotta respect that he didn't complain about last season, asked to leave or anything because I felt as if he might just walk after the horrendous season. He just put his head down and went to work. Now he has no pressure on his hands and I do hope we get to see the best of Bravo. I want to see Bravo of Chile, because that guy is a beast!
Congrats to Yaya for his 300 appearance for the club - one of the greatest players I've watched playing the game!!

Oh and G. Barry, one of the most underrated player, will move past Giggs and set a new PL appearance record on Monday when West Brom play Arsenal, and yes, all that without boning his brother's missus. Well done, Berry!!
I think we got some of the best Yaya had to offer, a true City legend, he's been instrumental in a our recent sucess and I'm very greatful, still remember that cracker he scored from about 35 yards out in the FA cup, Yaya only Toure can get it done :]

Barry might have not been the greatest player but that guy is a real worker, he always puts in a shift for any team he plays for, a true English legend that guy.
Yaya along with Silva where 2 of the most important core players brought from la liga. We took a chance on both players and spend big despite the criticism we received for spending (during that period) but guess what? Both turned out to be two of the best to every grace the league. Yaya is/was the most dominate CM I've seen, had both strength, speed and ability on the ball, none could come close. Congrats to Yaya making his 300th game, what a legend!
Yay was the most influential CM I have seen in the premier league since Scholes. (At his best)
^ How are you my friend Yaldo :D

Gifted with power and technique. I wish Yaya went on for another couple years (and he might just) - his passing during pre season was the best I have ever seen in recent years and I was kinda hoping he'd take that into the season.

I was actually fearing for Fernandinho's place after that pre-season. Not sure what happened between Yaya and Pep again. Looks like Pep is bringing him back though.
Delph played LB, not exactly bad at all tbh but the depth/quality is something Pep has to wondering about. I wonder if the CB and LB situation will be addressed this January. I want to see Mangala do well but on the ball, his just not going to fit under Pep and Mendy/Walker are beasts and should start all our big games but Danilo/Delph won't work on the long run. Honestly, Angelino could have done pretty well as he plays like a wing-back but I guess were going to have to wait and see.
True, Mangala isn't great but he can put in a decent shift, if he can improve his passing etc just maybe he could stay. That said Pep should know what needs to be done now in all areas, on the field and in the transfer window, the time for mistakes are over, too much spent for any excuses.
^True, I feel this season we can go all the in both the league and UCL. At this point, we can't have small shortcomings like not having another FB or CB cost us everything.
Who needs Sanchez when you got Sane?
+1
He's our very own 'Bruce Leroy' to our rescue. Don't know who that is go google.
+1
^ Good one!
+1
Clichy: "Sane reminds me of Gareth Bale...strong and powerful and he can be decisive with the ball with assists and goals."

Neville: "When I see Sane play I remember [young] Gareth Bale."

P.S. We may have our own Bale, but hopefully he'll stay injury free unlike Bale.
+1
Fortunately he did not cost a bale of money to acquire
+2
^ I see what you did there lol.
Gabriel Jesus and Raheem Sterling got child molested at the hand off Westbrook. Yaya was useless today. We got so lucky in this match :)
Quite a poor performance in all areas, if not for Sane we would have lost this one. Sterling was trying to do too much himself imo.

Silva did not have much of an impact except for the assist for the second goal. Yaya was not his pinging self. Mangala is great athletically but some of his passes were just embarrassing.

Gundogan was really the only shining light while he was on - hoping that his substitution was more precautionary. Yacob always goes reckless against us - this is not the first time he has tackled like a jackass against City.

Other than that WBA wasn't that great at all. We should have carved them open several times with the quality we had on the pitch. The B team possibly needs more time to gel, but you would expect them to be better than this.
Not lucky really, just finished our chances even though it could have gone either way, unlucky for Brom to hit the bar in the last minutes.

What about Danilo's performance? Any thoughts?
It's just because of their physicality we couldn't keep the ball for long and play our natural game. 2nd half the ball was in the air most of the time and they won most of the Arial duel which kept me on the edge of the seat. For me Sane was our savior and I expected more from Toure. Gundagon did played well but his final touch wasn't there which I believe will come with time. Danilo was solid too in going forward and defence.
Danilo was good IMO - not a specialist fullback in either position but good enough to not let the opposition relax - we missed Mendy & Walker operating on both flanks.

We had a couple of good chances (Jesus and twice Sane) which we could have done better with. Nevertheless great shift from Sane - who hasn't received the minutes he deserves
Bad performance but a mid week cup game against West Brom, tough to get motivated for it but some of the boys got a good run out. So bummed about Gundogan, hope his better.
Damn this WBA team is a ghost team made from the top few. Gibbs, Barry, Rodriguez, Jonny Evans, Foster

Most shocked to see Jay Rodriguez though. Darn wasn't he the next big thing along with Lallana when at So-ton
Lol yup. They played well in the second half, they really pressed us, it was an exciting game.
@Tomi, he was until we ended his hopes when he got injured right before the WC 2014. Since then, never been the same.
So NO city players in the top 55 FIFPro of whatever team of the season. 6 players from United. Pogba included. I mean - I do rate Pogba very highly with insane potential but he did not do much last season to warrant a place.

Maybe they do not know that Silva, KdB, Aguero and others exist. This is going to be even sweeter when the team performs this season. Cannot wait to have the team prove those dumb voters wrong. KdB did mention that the team does not care about individual accolades but it is shocking how year after year the stars from City are completely ignored for these lists. Aguero has not made the team of the year for EPL 6 years in a row now.
+2
Crazy, the bias is too strong.
+2
Unbelievable, Kun the deadliest striker in Premier League history has not been even making the EPL team of the year.
Did you guys realize - all signs of Arsenal have finally been wiped out from our squad. Maybe that's why we are becoming a team with a winning mentality :P lol joking

Nasri - gone
Sagna - gone
Clichy - gone

Alexis did not happen due to some divine lemaric reasons

Looks like our covert academy has been dissolved by the board. No more recruits. The program has failed.
atleast we kept you in the top four all these years. it was not a failed mission it was a stepping stone.
+2
More like Wenger duped us all. Wenger made us believe we were getting his best players. A true genius really that handed us the likes of Adebayor, Clichy and Nasri only to figure out that they weren't good enough or just weren't consistent. His been trolling us for years now, heck he got 40mil for Oxlade Chamerline from Liverpool (his new victims). Now go watch Ox play against Leicester and tell him his worth 40mil lol.
+2
Lol good one greg and moe. Although Tomi you can't really say that when most of those players bar adebayor helped us to PL titles, the first title Nasri was on top form, and clichy was probably at his best then.
@Gregmaverick - yes fair enough :D it was a crucial stepping stone

@Silva - never denied they helped us - just saying they are all phased out now

We needed Kolo, Nasri, Sagna, Clichy for all our endeavours over the past few years. I would even say Adebayor was very influential - he kickstarted much of our success leading to the title, even if he was not fully part of it in the end.

I loved the early team when we had Adebayor, Barry, Tevez, Zaba, Petrov, De jong and the looney folks who really put City on the map
Lol petrov, don't leave out Shay Given, loved that guy, remember wild card Bellamy, oh and Shaun Wright Phillips, we've come a long way.
Loved them. How did I miss out Bellamy and SWP haha. All those little bulldogs were the platform on which this City team was built. They were all a bit nuts, don't you think? Micah got his DNA from them
J.k, I loved all those guys. That Adebayor goal vs Arsenal and celebration was legendary.
Didn't your PL titles come when they were at the club and since they left the trophies have dried up?

You might say Arsenal were responsible for the PL trophies that you won :P
+1
^Lol guess Wenger was tired of letting us win more titles for him, ahh shame :(
Messi still hasn't signed a new contract...Perhaps because Barca only spent half of what they got for Neymar? and even that player is injured for months now? i think he told the club he will not sign another contract until he sees how this transfer window goes. Plus the La Liga president attacks Man City after he spoke with Ferran even though we didnt sign any players from barca the La Liga president was still bashing City's spending....Maybe because Ferran told him Messi is coming to City next year? :D
+1
I hope this happens, if not City, then PSG (cuz don't want to see him in another PL team obviously) just to see Barca president moaning LOL...

The ironic thing is that Barca just spent over €100million for Dembele, way more than any of the players that we have signed so far. So perhaps Barca should look closer to home when discussing market distortion.
+1
He will never leave. It will be a complete collapse of Barca if he left because he literally is carrying the team right now and will need to carry them for a while. The board isn't really helping him and I can see Messi second guessing his commitment but at the end of the day, they will offer him crazy wages and he will stay.

Although it be kinda funny tho.
Mourinho after Everton's game:

"Today I didn't think one single second about Man City. I thought about Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham." - Yes, we know you're worried about facing those teams for the second place. :D

P.S. I actually like Mourinho, I think football needs characters like him and Balo. :)
+1
I hate him he's an egotistical piece of s**t.
+2
Mou is a ridiculous person with fantastically wild comments. We all know that lol. He never ceases to amaze. We all know that this City team keeps him up at night.
+5
^^ "Mou is a ridiculous person with fantastically wild comments" - the best description of him I've heard and might use it in the future but all credit to you of course.:)
I'm always intrigued by what he sinks
lol
When Joze is winning he turns into the biggest b**** known to man, he will brag and its funny to watch as a fan but when everything starts fall apart, its even funnier! He gave me a good laugh during his last couple of months at Chelsea. I'm looking forward to Joze's comments next season.
Just for your information, he didn't say this because he thinks Man city doesn't count. He said this because all these teams he mentioned dropped points. City didn't.
