Posting top teams 25 man squad now that transfer window is almost done. Are you guys happy with the squad? Will this help city win the title this season? Any additions you guys need? Any outgoings? Bravo expected to come in for hart.

GK - Bravo, Caballero
CB - Kompany, Stones, Otamendi, Denayer
RB - Sagna, Zabaleta
LB - Kolarov, Clichy
CDM/CM - Fernandinho, Fernando, Gundogan, Delph, Toure
CAM - Debruyne, Silva, Navas
Wingers - Sterling, Sane
ST - Aguero, Nolito, Iheanacho

Very happy. Winning the league? 50-50 chance. Depends on how quickly the players pick up Pep's philosophy. That might take a couple months.

We shall see :D
Yeah I'm pretty happy with the team.

Pretty much what Tomi said. It all depends on how well the guys adjust to Pep's system. They seem to be looking better game after game which is great but I don't know about the title this season. We'll see in the 2nd half of the season depending on where were positioned. Not to mention, their UCl football as well, the ownership will be looking for a strong campaign.
not sure how you managed to not put Navas as a winger haha
yeah lol and lets be honest, the wingers are Navas, Nolito, Sterling and Sane competing for spots.
This could be our team for tomorrow

Sane------------Nacho-------------Navas
---------Toure--------------Delph-----------
------------------fernando---------------------
Clichy--------Stones---Otamendi------Zabaleta

Denayer is not training with the team so not sure wtf to expect out of that
Yeah I expect Pep to rest our big guns, West Ham won't be any easy game this Sunday.

Could see Zabaleta and even Clichy rested maybe. Even more so, Clichy who's looks better under Pep's system. Would like to see Angelino. Why Deanyer is not training with us is ridiculous, he would be a better fit in RB than Maffeo. I honestly thought he was a player Pep would like. His young, strong, lots of potential and versatile in the RB and CB position.
Fernandinho does not make the Brazil squad but Paulinho does. What complete idiots. No wonder they are performing like crap. Good for us I say. He deserves some rest.
None of their holding Mfs come close to Fernandinho. Paulinho, lol!

Fernandinho is 31 right now, his not getting any younger. Any amount of rest for him benefits Man City. We need him healthy and fit for this long season.
Guys - Manu Garcia scored for Alaves against Atletico :D
Lol turns out there is another Manu Garcia that plays for Alaves that scored. Wtf lol
^ Lolz

Enes Unal scored a hat-trick for Twente against Groningen.
They were some top notch finishes also!
^ Turns out that was another Enes Unal for Twente too :P
Lol Jeroen that's crazy. Good to know that it was City's loanee Enes who scored the hat trick though.
I'm really pumped that the two big English players we signed for big money are stepping up. Sterling is looking like a different player and Stones is playing like his been with us for a while. He looks so settled, hopefully he'll improve game after game.
and Stones is a steal in Dream Footy right now!

Still very early on in the season but yes, very promising.

I am really excited to see Kompany return and play along Stones.

I'm also really excited to see Gabriel Jesus join the squad this winter and further challenge Sterling and Nolito for a starting wing position. I do not think he will start many games but he could be an electric player off the bench
Stones need to speed up his passing though. Teams that press hard will make him slip up.
Hey Tomi, I left a message on your wall mate!
Saw it. Will have to ask the other Mods. Will keep you posted
Good victory today and great Kun and Kelechi as usual.
But I can't get my head around some of the changes going on.

Let me put it this way. Suppose you worked for a company for many years, you are a high performer, valued member of the team and all
You come back from holiday to find someone did your job for a short time and now you are asked to leave
Joe Hart should at least be given a chance in the new system, I don't know why Willy is even playing in the first place
To be honest I find this situation disrespectful
The confusing part is where Willy is considered better with his feet than Joe Hart (if that was the criteria for all of this it still does not make sense).

Well Bravo is arriving and I'd love to see Joe Hart as the deputy who steps it up in the next few weeks/months to get back to the #1 spot. But that is not going to happen. Joe will most likely leave for another club.

Maybe it is a matter of Pep being extremely clear with what he wants from his goalkeepers? I don't find the situation disrespectful, but baffling nevertheless. See Pep's pre match talk - he has been very clear with what he wants. He also says he has been talking to Hart right from the start and has utmost respect for him.

Also - there have been rumblings in the press as to why Hart did not train himself to adapt to Pep since he knew Pep would be coming a good few months in advance. I think that is a very good question to ponder about as well.

In a way I like what Pep is doing - he is picking players who can play his system. Yaya, Nasri, Hart all have been told they have to pick up a certain part of their game to play. All have been told that they are fantastic players and can become part of the squad if they fix a certain part of the game. Hear the Pep conference, it is amazing. Nobody is safe under the new system. Pep is basically saying that there is no substitute for intensity, no matter how good a player you are. Beautiful way of setting the tone.

@MODM a better analogy would be you do enough to get by at work with your old boss, next thing you know a new boss has taken over and they have higher expectations and criteria required for your job title.

The new boss gives you the chance to prove yourself and meet the higher expectations and criteria but you've gotten too complacent and stuck in your old ways and habits of just getting by.

This leaves the new boss with a conundrum they can keep you employed and hope you'll improve even after a few months of seeing no improvement or higher someone they know can meet the higher criteria and expectations.

Have I ever mentioned I like French toast? One of my favorite breakfast foods.

Manchester City's out-of-favour goalkeeper Joe Hart has been told face-to-face by the club's director of football Txiki Begiristain that it would be in everyone's best interests if he left in the current transfer window.

Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3750889/Joe-Hart-urged-leave-Txiki-Begiristain-Manchester-City-close-20m-capture-Claudio-Bravo.html#ixzz4HwIm1Qnf
I think its just as much of a tough situation for Pep as it is for Hart. Hart is top class keeper, one of the top 10 if not the top 5. He saved us how many points for a number of seasons with our crappy back-line. His one of he most respected players along with being a leader in the Man City backroom. Pep knows that, his gambling tbh because he knows City fans won't be happy but at the end of the day, this is the same bold fellow that took the helm at Barca in 2008-09 season, his first job and sold Deco and Ronaldinho, then went on the win the treble. I hate the situation but I trust Pep. Although if its backfires, its not going to look good on Pep.

For Hart its a brutal situation. His a top player but he has two choices. Either suck up his pride and play as a back up to Bravo or leave. He doesn't want to play as a back-up keeper because its simply unfair, his done so much for the club but he doesn't want to leave either. Also, all the other top teams in the PL have good Gks and I don't see Hart wanting to leave England due to his family. Its tough.
+1
As good as Bravo is, Hart is too good to play backup keeper. His performance against Barcelona in our treble winning season shows what he is capable of. So what if he's not good with his feet. I'm sure there are many top teams more than willing to use him. He should definitely move on.

how come city don't have cool song like barca and juve have in their stadium..their songs sounds great even i don't understand their meaning
We have Oasis, it can't possibly get any cooler than that.
What's wrong with Blue Moon rock version anyway?

Edit: ok I see what you're saying
I love the City music played during the games. Don't care less what other teams be playing.
Me too.
English teams tend to play existing songs, or change lyrics of existing tunes, they become iconic of the club and I think they are just as great. Anthems specifically written as club anthems are more typical of other leagues and cultures
@N007 youtube some good club songs from different clubs around the world. Here's one for example:

https://youtu.be/lf5PrhPXGHY

I hope you speak or read Spanish haha

(@T here's an example of why I don't think Americans have good fan bases you'd never in a million years see this happen)

This fan base (Barcelona) is in their arch enemy's (Emelec) stadium during a derby singing this song and making more noise than the locals.
Guys, where does Brian Kid sit in dogout ? Isn't he supposed to sit in 3rd seat after Pep and his main assistant? I saw Arteta in that seat.
The Hair always wins. Impeccable. Undeniable. Irresistible.

Guys,

Good game with Stoke. I think we are so much more effective under Pep because now everyone is doing what they are best at.

Fernandinho controlling play from CDM. I don't really see how Gundogan will take over from that position. Seems like Gundogan/Silva/KdB might share 2 spots.

Nolita/Sterling/Navas staying wide, being effective there.

Silva/KdB in a dual role that shares attacking and defending. Brilliant. No more talk about who is our #10

Aguero playing a #9 and dropping back when required.

I think the only thing now is being aware that teams will press us and how we can tackle that. West Ham and United will be 2 defining games for us, in increasing level of difficulty.

BTW - kudos to Iheanacho. Instrumental in the last two goals. Both the goals were the epitome of teamwork. Loved the way Sterling layed it for Nolito to tap it in. Perfect.

Fernandinho MOTM for me

Missed the game it was a little early this morning for me. Saw highlights were look better and better every game. More comfortable than I've seen City in a while. I hope we can keep this up against big teams and we play our game!
This system isn't much suitable for KdB to score and assist goals and I am loosing some points in PL fantasy so I don't like this system :) And I can't exclude KdB and Augero in my fantasy when they're fit. :)
Well said and kudos to Sterling and a middle finger to all the hypocrite Looserful fans for all the abuse that they give him while kissing the ass of players, like Suarez who drag their club's name through the dirt lol. Come on Sterling keep it up!!:)

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Cpw8Kh0W8AIdLji.jpg:large
Sterling has been electric lately. This game he wasn't as effective since he started on the left wing but you can see how good he has been lately, rejuvenated.

@ManCityBlue - all of our goals come of Silva/KdB - it is just that they don't provide the final assist. Fantasy points aside - they are SO MUCH more effective now. Everything goes through them and starts with the CBs and Fernandinho. This whole Pep's crazy system makes a lot of sense now. I feel we are going to run over the smaller teams, something that Pellegrini could not do. How we fare against the bigger teams still remains to be seen. The next two games will give us a preview.
so what if fernandinho got injured or banned?and what are our plan against zlatan and co.?will johnstones is enough for him?i think with physical and heights we're already lost to them
^^Annnd...the voice of positivity has spoken.
+2
I think Sterling just needed some sense knocked into his head and Pep gave him a reason to believe in himself again, after all the abuse he has been getting from Liverpool and England fans
+1
@Nedved If Fernandinho is injured we have Gundogan to play that position.
I don't know what you mean by banned. You mean suspended I suppose?

Also, don't worry about the height, etc. Stoke was also once a team of tall folks. Barcelona have traditionally been a team of diminutive players. Get the idea? It is the footballing tactic that matters more. Also, we do have KdB, Otamendi, Stones, Kolarov who are tall enough.

We are playing football, not a wresting match now, are we?
+2
@Tomi,thanks for the explanation, I am aware that KdB and Silva are/going to be very effective on the pitch and most of the chances creation comes from them, I was just joking with my comment. For fantasy I am going to replace KdB by Nolito. Hope he can scores goals/assists in consistent basis.
The problem with picking fantasy players now is that the goalscoring burden is going to be evenly distributed. You saw how easily Nolito got 2 goals today? We haven't even seen Sane feature yet. Also, the way Sterling is playing I see him providing a ton of assists. Don't be surprised if Silva/KdB chip in with a good amount of goals as well :P

All in all, apart from Aguero there is no other fixed person you can pick from City IMO.

Btw I've picked the beast. Ohh he had some awesome days at City. Going to watch him tomorrow
