Good news, Kompany is back for the Swansea game! On the other hand Dzeko and Silva will be out for the game but no matter well get to see Jovetic play if he starts. Hoping for 3 points!
Lets talk transfers. Does MP plan on shopping in the winter window? Seems to like he should, because we have been abysmal so far this season. I mean I don't want to sound ungrateful for being in 3rd place but we should be putting on more consistent preformances. On the long run this could be the make or break of our season. I'm not asking for ton load to be spend but some replacements that are needed badly. We need to look into these positions:

LB: We need one that can defend as well as attack. Either promote an U21 with quality or buy no other option. Kolarov is great for attacking but does a minimal job at defending. Clichy needs to go asap, because his done and looks like he couldn't be bothered to put on a better performance at all. Would love to sign Mattia De Sciglio but his not going to come cheap. Someone with a reasonable price tag and that can defend.

CAM: We can't seem to live without Silva's creativity. Once his gone, that creativity is absent from our play and no one can replicate what he can do. Although we can wait until the summer because that would mean we would have to offload either Milner, Nasri or Navas.

CF: We had Negredo last season to switch off with Dzeko in case one was out of form and the absence of Jovetic didn't bother us to much but now that Dzeko is out of form and Jovetic is nonexistence that only leaves us an in form injury prone Aguero. God only knows where we would be in the table without him. I don't know who should come in but we need someone asap because Aguero (crossing my fingers he doesn't) can get injured. Then what?

Apart from buying, we need Bruno Zuculini back. If Yaya is gone to the AFCON and Lampard is forced to go back to NYCFC then we need a true CM like Bruno. In pre-season he passes were slick and he brought some thing different and dynamic to the team and I enjoyed it. I can only see him flourish for Man City.
What about Coentrao and Pjanic.
Pjanic is a stud and Roma know that. Their not going to let him go for unless its 25-30mil deal and know I'm hearing PSG are interested so door is closed because no one is outbidding them. If we bring back Zuculini from Valencia and Lampard stays then were covered.

I've always liked Coentrao, his at a good age of 26 and attacks and defends very, very well. He would adapt to City pretty quickly with our style of attacking football and his a hard-worker on the pitch and that's what I like about him, a player who just doesn't quit. Just depends on how much Madrid are willing to see him off for and it ain't going to be cheap but it should be a reasonable deal considering he hasn't played a lot in the last 2 years. Although my first choice would still be Mattia De Sciglio.
De Sciglio plays well both at RB and LB, that's a nice bonus.
I think he should have developed at RB but Abate played there, so..
I'm not too sure about where his career is going, he proved pure talent in the season before last, then has been nowhere near that level since coming back from injuries. At the moment he looks lost like a chicken who struggles to break the egg again, a bit like ElSha
Too fragile as well, certain tackles in the Premier league would split him in half

If we drop out of CL I don't expect much happening in January
Recall Guiddti in Jan. as for playmakers Pastore or Quintero could be available come the summer.
@ManOnDMoon, if this squad keeps playing like this and MP doesn't turn to the window for any sources of help in order to revamp the squad and try to get something going that could just spell the end for MP. MP can act as cool as he wants but we know if he doesn't retain the title this season after this horrendous UCL run his going to be sacked.

As for Guidetti, he would much rather stay on loan at Celtic or move to Marseille as I'm hearing his rumored with. MP doesn't see him as part of his plans which is such a waste because his a talented player.
Moe, first off Pellegrini was a long term interim manager, second: I don't believe he has any decision making on who is signed in January
And third...if we drop out of CL this squad depth is plenty to challenge for the title and surely top 4, no immediate signing needed

On a side note: I am confident Jovetic will prove a killer finisher if played in CF

Nothing personal eh just different points of view
Maybe a over exaggerated a bit with signing and I see your point but I disagree. The team needs a LB badly, Clichy lack of effort and quality has dropped the last few seasons and his not even a good enough back up anymore/rotational player anymore. I just don't see the point of keeping him and not buying a new LB who can defend and attack with good strength. What happnens to the club when Yaya goes to the AFCON and Lampard is asked to return to NYCFC? Zuculini needs to come back from his loan deal to cover for him and would give him much needed playing time. As for Jovetic I want to see him player more games because he seems nonexistent at times and should be playing more often.

On the other hand the owners want titles and we all know how much UCL means to the growth of the club. What happened this season at the UCL is going to be questioned by the board because we have a quality team and if the teams performance for PL don't improve and we don't win the PL title more questions will be asked of MP and what went down. Kinda hard to say his job is going to be safe if things start falling apart but time will tell.
22 Nov Saturday we are playing Swans...! so any predictions..?
2-2 Draw, I can see swans busting a gut on us.
+2
LOL, if I were to make predictions it would be only bad ones. Let us just pray that the engineer has done some thinking and a shakeup of our folks. Leaving it to faith now, not practical predictions.
3 days later we play Bayern Munich at home. Swansea could beat us, I'm just saying those guys are going to bring their A game. Moreno, Siggs, Bony, Dyer etc, its going to be tough as nails and if Kompany ain't back we are going to in a world of trouble because Manalga/Demichelis aren't good together. Hell against Bayern if Kompany ain't back and we are going to be without Silva, we just might get a pounding.
It just does not look good right now, I guess this is our down time, we'll just have to take it like everyone else has.
Pelle will lose my trust if he starts the same team with no changes
Well he doesn't give a s**t about Nastasic and Kompany is out so most likely Mangala/Demichelis will start. Kolarov is out so Clichy will start and I'm sure Yaya isn't going to miss the starting XI for any reason after an international break. Were just going to hope Aguero can pull us through another one. Same line up, same formation. Nothing is going to change.
Good to know you all fear the same outcome as I do, I was cringing when I asked the prediction..yikes..!

Hope for the best, if you can !
According to menmedia.co.uk, Managala(Calf), Kompany, Silva could miss Swansea game. If Managala and Kompany are out, I am sure Pelle will go with Demichilis & Boyota and we may see Nastatic on bench.

Our right defender will have nightmare against Moreno if Milner does not play on right wing. His pace was very scary against Arsenal. Same goes on the left with Dyer,it seems we need 2 Milner for this game to play on both flanks.
I hope our boys have more confidence than what is on display here.
So King Jo was released by Atletico Minerio and we haven't signed him yet. WTF is going on!!!!! He could potentially save our season.

Meanwhile, Lord Bendtner has scored 4 goals in a space of few days. Immense talent, but no takers.
Alright lets sign both. EPL and UCL is ours now!
Damn that kid Isco is good. He seems to get better and better. The guy can play as AMF or CM. His performance for Spain was stunning!
It's nice to see messi training in manchester lol
I hope he does it more often in the future
+1
Brace yourselves, Mancini is going to be linked with all City players, past and present, from now till the end of the transfer window.
I've already seen suggestions of Kolarov, Clichy, Nastasic and good old Balo
I can see them all going back to Inter. Maybe even Jovetic.
A picture of Txiki, Ferran and Mancini sitting at the same table: priceless.
For the rest there better be 30m on mastercard
Wouldn't mind seeing Nastasic go to Inter. Mancini actually liked him and gave him minutes.
with Yaya leading the line... lol! I have a feeling he is not happy here.
No Serie A team can afford Yaya's wages
Karim Rekik gets called up to the Netherlands national team. Looks like his getting the job done. Good on him!
Wish I got Eredivisie so I could watch him in action!
Celtic striker John Guidetti has been awarded the Scottish Professional Football League Premiership player of the month award for October.

Bravo to him, his had it tough and deserves be recognized for his work, his a talent but knowing MP he won't start or even play for City. Might as well be permanently sold in January, at least his happy.
Nastasic is going away in January, he is been asked to find another club, as per goal.com..

Edit:
I cannot believe any of the recent buy is any better than Nastasic, the reason can be that Manicini bought him, but RM also bought Silva, Yaya and Augero.. imagine City team without them..

http://www.goal.com/en/news/11/transfer-zone/2014/11/14/6131001/manchester-city-outcast-nastasic-offered-to-arsenal
Sucks that were going to sell him. When he turns out to be one of the world best CBs its going to make City look like idiots.
+1
We'll take him! We wanted him in the 1st window but City wouldn't let him leave. Hopefully this time we can buy rather than loan him. We'll give him a good home, he deserves to be playing, very good player.
+2
I would rather have him play anywhere but the PL. I can't withstand the pain if I see him in an Arsenal kit.
+3
Hard to believe Nastasic will be shown the door and Demichelis will continue to play. There's got to be some behind the scenes issues here. Maybe its his work rate in training or he's been to vocal about not playing.
Demichelis worked with Pellegrini before so there you go, it's typical. In my eyes Nastasic should be the starter and Demichelis the sub. Considering age and not only
I don't mind if Arsenal have him though. I'm only paranoid about a striker sold to a rival
I'd rather have him play for Arsenal and rub it in for City. Arguably among the best young CB 2 years ago, rubbing shoulders with the likes of Varane and now relegated to the abyss.

Seriously pissed off with the whole situation. Demichelis is just better than Mangala (who is trash at the moment). Nastasic should be playing day in day out. Heck, I'd even play him at left back at the moment.

This whole season has been a pain in terms of tactics and shady behavior from Pellegrini. He doesn't talk about Nastasic at all. Uses bizzare tactics, does not have the balls to bench Yaya.

Zilch called Pellegrini out last season. Although we won last year, we were vulnerable and have just been found out. We need a master tactician like Mourinho or a street fighter like Klopp/Simeone. Pellegrini's football is orgasmic when it works and completed deflating when it doesn't. I am not for sacking managers and such.. just that we need a tough manager when we look at the long run and decide to replace Pellegrini.

EDIT: If Nastasic goes, I am seriously considering boycotting City football for the rest of the year. Reminds me of the days when we bought trash for 30+ million while not appreciating the talent we already had. We are returning to those ugly days.
+1
Way to stick by your club Tomi...
+5
I mean the way Nastasic played against Real Madrid on his debut is something I won't forget. Its the dumbest move in the world to sell him, hell loan him for gods sake! We put him in the transfer list for no f*****g reason. His the future, the likes of him and Rekik yet we are about to let him walk for what 5mil is what I'm hearing.
Roberto Mancini joined Inter, I think he will buy Nastatic in Jan transfer window.
+2
They literally sacked him the day after winning the league, wow all the best to you Mancio. we are rivals now
@BlueMoon, I am sticking by my club. I never said I changed loyalties.

What i am pissed off about is this whole promise of holistic football and then they take a massive dump on that philosophy. Aren't you enraged?

I'd rather play Nastasic and ones who play with heart and lose the league and be proud of it than buying good for nothing players and rewarding ones who do not deserve it.

When Milner, Silva, Kompany play I know I watching players who are genuinely giving it all. At the end of the day thats what you want as a fan. With all this hoop hollah about facilities and youth, we haven't promoted a single fracking academy kid.

So don't give me that crap bro. I am quite disappointed you don't understand my statement after all these years.
+2
Was BlueMoon's post meant to be...sarcastic?
Tomikato there is practically no more trolling between City and United, not in ages, that is a miracle and can only be thanks to you, so get some credit for it :)
Nobody will understand you in the sense not many people can speak to rivals
I love Tomi, he said everything I was thinking, way to go bro *Thumbs up*
@BlueMoon - Sorry if I was a little too emotional about this :) no offense meant
@ManOnDMoon, Maestro - lol thanks

I am really hoping that the holistic dream that we were so astutely sold leads to some fruition. We do have a modern legacy soaked in oil but the recent developments made me believe that sustainable changes were on their way. They well might be, but the signs have been otherwise last few months.

On another note, when is Silva coming back? Any ideas?
I'm seeing the 30th on physio-room but I'm hoping for an early return date.

@Tomi, same feelings as well, City has been hard to put up with lately. Not one academy product promoted, Nastasic is being sold, MP takes a massive s**t on his philosophy from last season! What the f**k is going on because I'm losing my mind with this insanely stupid season City has had so far. No consistency in the PL and we are at the bottom of the barrel in the UCL. I feel your pain bro!
@Tomi, it's cool, I was just venting a little b/c we are in a difficult moment and I see a lot of supporters wanting Pellegrini sacked, wanting certain players axed, and then I read your comment about boycotting the club and I think, "how spoiled are we?"

This club has been on a high for the last 4-5 years and we've all loved it. Now that we're having a "crisis" and are sitting way down the table at 3rd (sorry, more sarcasm)I think the very least we owe the club is to remain in their corner and retain a sense of perspective. We're not as good as Bayern, Barca, or Real yet and even they have disjointed, difficult seasons. Why should we expect to be exempt?

I even agree with Tomi to a certain extent, I really like Nastasic and was ecstatic when I got to meet him this summer. However to say you'll stop watching your club is way over the top. I get it, I'm as frustrated with Pellegrini as you guys, but let's not forget where we come from.
The frustration is not about the currrent form. Form can wax and wane. The frustration is about certain players taking the team for granted and being passengers. What I am saying is I'd rather see deserved players getting more chances.

This needs to come at the possible cost of winning a tournament in the short run. We keep persisting with passengers like nothing is wrong. Drop them for a couple games and give others a chance. Pellegrini did it last year, not sure what his problem is this year.

Let us not forget the Robinho days buddy. Those were very forgettable ones, we seem to have headed that direction again.

^Ahhh good ole Robhino :)
