Not a bad result all things considered.
yeah... i will take this point, considering we played a man down most of the game
Unlucky, dominated the game even with 10 men - well done the ref!!
Blah s**t way to start our first half of our second game....
Alright Bony is off to Swansea for 13mil. Nasri is off to a Turkish club for 10mil.

Now we must sign a our savior Johnny Evans and LB hopefully.
i knew the united result will force them to buy
Nasri fee 3m
^^Annnd the accountant is here!!
+3
^LOL

BBC and Daily Mirror reported, if we can get rid of Mangala as well we will have recouped 75mil pounds from all the sales, which isn't bad. Plus we got Nasri off the 120K/week wage bill which is always nice.
Mooy with a great goal for Huddersfield. The guy has talent. Haven't seen his midfield play but I hear he is quite good
His a quality player and deserves some praise. He was crucial for Huddersfield's promotion campaign last season and his killing it now in the PL, crazy how well his adapt to England for a guy who came out nowhere from the A-League in Australia. Even Pep wanted him to return but I guess their was no room left for him when we signed B. Silva and kept Yaya. Huddersfield won the lottery when they got him for only 10mil.
Hopefully Swansea's result today will force them to pay the 15 mil we are asking for Bony
Lets us all pray and hope lol
If only Siggurdson had left later for Everton. Then he would have faced United today and not faced us on Monday lol. Ohh well.

As for Bony, he is a good CF - I can't believe his stock has fallen so much that nobody wants him at the moment. We do a good job of dampening some careers - Bony, Jovetic, Mangala and others.. we just need to make sure we stop buying players who do not fit into our philosophy. Too many at the moment

I must say I had very high hopes for Jovetic, injuries finished him and Pellegrini had no faith either
Can't really blame the club, we were just really unlucky. Bony was a panic buy no doubt, we badly needed a striker at that point. Jojo was class for Fiorentina but the injuries killed him, if he wasn't injury prone, he would still be here. Mangala looked like a physical beast but when it came to the mental aspect of the game, he really struggled.

We just need to learn our lesson and be more careful with our signings. Although it wouldn't hurt to go after players that aren't big names or cost a fortunate.
Looks like we really are after Johnny Evans. 25mil offer and I'm sure West Brom will take it. I don't know what to say, wtf are we thinking? But at the same time, I said the same thing about us signing Danilo and his turned out to be good for us. I guess all we can do is trust Pep that he knows what his doing.
hahaha..
Spoke to some United fans they actually like him a lot - most were pissed that LvG sold him. I feel a little better about it now.

Whatever I think though, the red card during the 6-1 game always comes to mind lol
^ Lol, me too. I keep thinking back to it.
So seems like Mangala might be leaving for Inter on loan. Wtf - we now have fewer CBs than last year AND we are playing a back 3. We really need another CB or we are doomed.
http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/40954441

Pep is buying another CB Tomi
LOL Ttk you massive troll!

Btw Jonny Evans will be forever in our hearts. He started the avalanche that was 6-1 :P
Then he must be worth at least 50m. Stones-Otamendi-Evans crazy defense right there :D
Someone will come in Tomi, the whole plan was that if we found no one, Mangala would stay but if we did find a CB to sign then he would leave. Better be a good CB, most likely left footed, although we haven't been linked with any CB for a long time now, Pep must be keeping this one quiet.

My worry is getting another FB, we don't even have any make-shift FB/WBs. If we lose 2 FBs to injury during the season, were seriously fu***!
Wait a minute... I thought the Johnny Evans link was B.S. Did we actually bid for him??? Dafaq????
lol yup, 18m rejected. That money can't even buy lord Evans right foot! Oh, he's left footed btw, just exactly type of CB you want Moe :p
Pep should go for Inigo Martinez. Left footed CB who's a great athlete and is good with the ball. Perfect signing for you guys. And his release clause is only 32 mil.
@Moe - lol yes exactly my reaction. WTF lol

@Ttk - I am going to lobby to ban you lol

@Sanchez - we were linked with Inigo this summer not sure what happened with that
SA, I think it was between us and you guys signing Ingio Martinez, don't know what happened as he was the CB Pep was chasing a month ago.

Please to god, I hope we don't sign f***** Evans! FFS Pep!
lol i take Mangala over Evans any day...i don't know what kind of problem Pep has with Mangala? plus loan him out and pay more than half of his salary?
Yeah at one point it was said that we paid his release clause which turned out to be false. Maybe he rejected us for you guys?
Watched our friendly against Girona. We lost 1-0 but it was a training match but Pablo Maffeo was MOTM. Kept Sane quiet for a large part of the game, even pegged him back to play more defensively because he was bombing up and down the pitch. His got grit and determination that would suit the league, defensively, his gotten really good and has no fear pushing up on the field. He looked like he was out to prove himself to Pep and I hope Pep took notice. Also watched Douglas Luiz, looks strong for a 19 year old and his gotten that flair about him and can dribble his way out of trouble. Looks like both Maffeo and Luiz will play a lot of games for Girona, I hope they do well.

Also, Gundogan played some minutes, good to see him back and Mendy is finally training with the first team and back from his injury.
Gundogan is back!! He might be eased into the team slowly though.

Did you see Bernardo's game? I am telling ya - he is going to be key for us this season once he settles in.
His ability is there but his going to need a few more games to really settle in. Pep is fully aware of his talent and wants to ease him into the first team. So far his been good, in fact I saw him pulling off some serious skills against 3 Girona players where he just dribbles past them like nothing, his something else.

Although I gotta say again, Maffeo should be in our plans in the future. He really impressed me, even had a small tussle with Sane during the game. The guy ain't playing around, he wants to earn a spot on the team.
So Mangala will stay if we can't sign a CB by the end of the window, I don't mind unless we start playing a back 2, he wasn't bad at Valencia at all but he struggled with the tempo of this league when he was with us the first time around, he seems much more comfortable in a back 3 but I can see why Pep needs another CB. When we lost Kolarov, we lost a defender that can spray passes from the back, although I still hope we get at least 2 more players before the window closes, a CB and a LB.
Are we still looking? Haven't heard any rumors lately.
Me too. Although if one FB goes down, were in deep sh*t, so I do hope we can still bring in another FB and a CB.
True, but we'll have to face more premium prices unfortunately, don't know if the club's going to go even more crazy with the spending, but Virgil and Bertrand would seal our signings of for the season 🙂
I would love VVD but his too expensive. I just want some decent players, worst case we keep Mangala and just sign a FB. The problem will be finding a FB/WB that fits our system, won't be a surprised if signing the FB first is higher priority even though we need a left footed CB.
I seriously think we should keep Mangala he's a decent defender if given some time and stop spending on defender, especially now after Neymar's move the market is even more inflated. They even asked Pep in the press conference if he's glad he did his business before Neymar's move. I bet all our fullbacks would have cost us 60-70 mil each had we waited until now
Good point but their no denying that Pep will want a left footed CB, if not now Mangala will stay but if where going to play a back 3, having already lost a left footed CB who can deliver a good ball in Kolarov, I won't be surprised if Pep signed someone else. Other than that we need that FB asap!

Although we have yet to offload the likes of Bony, Delph and Nasri.
