With the injuries Utd had, we should have gotten all three points. Another game where we dominate and don't win. Can't help but think of Silva was fit, we would get the win. Despite our dominance Silva got so much influence in the MF. Nevertheless we should have won.

On the positive side. Kompany is back! We looked so much better at the back with him. Hope his injury free games long continue. Also, G. Jesus is back and boy is the kid impressive. Another disallowed goal for him, lol! But the potential of this kid is unreal.
Mancini was mentioned 8 times on this very page, I counted.
WTF is going on?
We just love him that's all.
think yall definitely should have won today.. just thinking about your future attack..

scary af.

It'll get better. Sterling can be upgraded imo.
£500m team parking the bus in a game, like derby - embarrassing!! As far as us, seems like this has been the story of our season dominate the game but fail to win it sigh...

Oh here is Borinho's upgraded bus:

Next time I need to put myself to sleep I'll call Jose Mourinho

You are so lonely here Tomi. Join us in the Fellaini bashing party on UTD page lol
+1
Lol I am. I spend more time on the United page these days
I ended up watching a reply of Middlesbrough and Sunderland to try and lift my spirits after that. I hate these derby goalless draws it just sucks the life out of the game.

+6
fantastic lol
Bony cost us just as much Costa cost Chelsea and the difference between the 2 is obviously enormous...do we have crappy scouts? or was that Bony decision taken by Pellegrini mainly?
We bought Bony in the Jan window it was a panic buy. Those never work out. Dzeko was a good Jan window buy though
He was killing it for Swansea. We needed a striker and we bought him. Nothing bad about that call tbh. The only problem was he never really fit in our style of football.

The funny thing about all this was that Dybala was getting scouted that window by us and we were going to bid before Pellegrini wanted the deal to get wrapped up for Bony.
+1
you guys have Jesus , Aguero & Iheanacho. Not many teams have 3 good forwards in the ranks
+2
Lol Bazinga. Not really.

Jesus has played 4 games in total. He is not completely here yet. Both Iheanacho and Aguero are not natural #9s

We need someone a la Negredo/Dzeko to give us a different option.
+1
i agree with @Tomikato we need a #9 like Lewandowski ... Aguero played behind the #9 when he was at Atletico and the first few years at Man City he played that same position behind Dzeko or Balotelli, its only for the past 2 and half years is that he is playing the #9 position. You can find his interview with Henry he said it himself that I'm not a natural #9 i only played in the #9 position for the past 2 and a half years, he said sometimes i find myself on the left or right side and Guardiola tells me if someone crosses the ball there will be nobody to attack it. Just look up his interview with Henry.

Iheanacho has a good minutes per goal stats but i can't really see him being anything more than a substitute

But that Bony deal? prolly the worst deal we have ever had? the guy was so useless on the field it was no joke, that was definitely a bad call by Pellegrini. I think Mancini is good when it comes to recruiting players. When we won the title with Pellegrini, Mancini said its still my players like Dzeko Aguero Toure are scoring all the goals i created that team, i bought those players.
+2
@Moe these things happen in football. Bony looked like the best possible signing at the time, and a proven one in the Premier League. Now we all know Dybala is fantastic. Juve can do business which is no news...
@AgueroCity I feel the same way about Mancini. He had it spot on. For all that matters I wish we never changed manager to this day
Roberto Mancini was spotted on the London tube to Wembley. Once a citizen, always a citizen. I love Mancini and he really loves City.
+1
Bobby Manc will always be our legend
Silva and Aguero pass the fitness test are expected to play against Utd.
Looks like they are still in a race to find out Moe. We wouldn't know until the day
Couldn't have been worse. I am distraught. And to add to it we lost Silva.

If we cannot defeat Arsenal, who are arguably at their lowest point in confidence in the last 10 years or so then we really have to assess our progress. The referee screwed up for the disallowed goal - but we were 1-0 up at one point and for Arsenal to come back like they did they deserve a lot of credit. Maybe they imagined we were Arsenal and they were someone else.

With all the 4th place jokes n all - we have been much worse than Arsenal in the sense that we have spent a gazillion and still do not manage to better them in so many ways.

OK - now that I have that out of my system - looking forward to the United game. This game is absolutely a 6 pointer. We cannot let United go over us in the table. We have traditionally done well in the last 6 games of the campaign so looking forward to delivering a statement.
is aguero fit?
And we made Arsenal fan tv happy, which is surreal.
Must win the derby - I hope it's not too much to ask for this season
@SIF - we are waiting to hear ourselves. Not sure yet.

@MODM - yeah buddy nothing but a resounding win in the derby will make me happy. I am tired of seeing the 6-1 game over and over again. It is time we re-write some of those stories. What is heart breaking is that we had so many memorable games in those years with Mancini - for some reason we don't seem to have those anymore. Maybe it is the grit that is lacking? I miss Tevez a lot and also De Jong, Lescott, Barry among others. Seems like we have too much flair now but less of the battering ram power and force that we used to have.
@Tomi we have to adjust ourselves with style of play. Mancini fielded a balanced team, Pep and MP are attacking football maniacs. The City rebuild job is tougher than it sounds. We failed to prepare for the future and now Pep was forced to spend money on young guys like Sane, G. Jesus and Stones. People will complain we overspend but were City, we will always overspend because we have money and clubs know that.

Pep has tried to get something out of this season, I do feel for him a little bit but his got to nail his marks with transfers this summer. We have 6-7 players with contracts expiring, Txiki and Pep better bring in players that fit the system or else he will be in hot waters. If he doesn't show up next season and it falters like this season, I'm going to lose my patience.
Dunno Moe. I think we played beautiful football under Mancini too. We had some really memorable games.

This super attacking football era of last 4 years has not really brought us much. Except for the title winning year under Pellegrini we have been struggling. Attacking like headless chickens.

As much as I want Pep to succeed (obviously) we need the fear factor if we ever have to be a big team. Right now we have teams taking us on like we are a soft pudding. Everyone has a chance against us on the counter. Nobody really fears us. I have this impending feeling that we might win the odd league or tournament in the next 2-3 years but we will not be building a feared team ( a la Juventus, Bayern, Barcelona, Madrid). We are a long long way from there and Pep had not done much this year to convince me. To add to that the backbone of our success (Aguero/Kompany/Yaya/Silva/Hart) will be phased out soon, leaving us with a bunch of guys who have done little to convince us yet.

Anyways, fingers crossed. Hope for the best. Try not to be negative :D
I have the same feeling as well about Pep and his philosophy. It might work elsewhere but I'm yet to be convinced about it working in the Pl. I'm still hoping tho.
