I see tradition has not gone from the Bpl, We are playing Sheffield Wednesday on Wednesday :D
team vs sheffield wednesday? should be an interesting one

Will Zabalate miss the next EPL game or does Capital One count? If EPL then I'd rather play him for the Wednesday game and keep Sagna fresh.

If only Iheanacho was available, he would be the best person to start upfront or behind the striker.
We have to wait till October for Iheanacho unfortunately, can't wait to see him play again! But the Capital One match does count towards Zaba's suspension, so Sagna will definitely play against Wednesday.
Thanks BlueMoon - that's great to know. Almost like Zabaleta did not have to miss a game then haha. Sweet

remember luca scapuzzi? i was about to suggest him but just realized he is no longer with us, in fact he is free agent, short lived career? :/
Haha yeah he scored for us once against Wolves I think. Pellegrini might actually play Pozo. I know he traveled with the 1st team to Munnich so maybe he's being readied for his debut.
Looks like a good line-up and I think Demi and Nas should start so Mangala can play against Hull and we can again see that partnership and also Hull are scary in attack with Jelavic and Diame. Hopefully Nastasic plays well I would love to see him make a claim for to play more often.
Mangala is a breath of fresh air, very solid debut in what was the biggest game of the week and what a way for him to make a statement. He was all over Costa today, him and Kompany very dominate performance. On the other hand glad to see Yaya stepping up and first time his played with solid conviction. MOTD for me, simple as hell because that man was M-I-L-N-E-R!!!! I mean energy, skill, drive, explosives, determination you name it, his got it all and considering his hardly played in the Pl this season and this was his first start you'd expect a rusty performance but he was the best player in the entire field.

Sad to see Zaba go, we were forcing Chelsea to defend before he was sent off and I thought we could really have pulled off a victory but a point is better then a loss. Kudos to Chelsea, want a goal they scored, stunning teamwork.
Mangala is a beast. Milner proved why he should start the big games. Yaya did ok compared to the Bayern game.
What ever happened to Costa bullying Kompany?
^ it was just the other way around, Costco is not bigger than our Kompany.

mangala = BEAST

finally kompany has a worthy partner at the back.
Mangala helped us cancel out a lot of attacks with his pace, size and positioning. He won 6/6 headers, with utmost ease.. as if his opponent did not exist.

Call me jumping the gun, but I am touting this partnership to be the best in the EPL in a year.

He is looking extremely solid.

On another note, I'm kind of sad he's only rated 80 on FIFA 15.. :(

Yaya an 86? 86?! His agent needs to speak up for Yaya for once, Yaya must be very very upset. It's about respect.

Tough luck today guys. I was watching the game until Zabeleta was sent off. He was sent off when you guys were finally starting to unlock the bus and creating a few good chances. Imho that foul didn't deserve a yellow and Costa should have been sent off instead. When Zableta went to apologies, Costa got up and tried to choke Zabeleta and Zabo simply reacted by pushing off Costa's hand off his neck. I suppose it feels good to take points from Chelsea using there own player though lol.
Zabaleta knew he was wrong and tried to apologize to calm the situation, Costa made a meal out of it so that he could force the Red card, and it worked, no worries though I am still happy.
I think the yellow was for his tackle, not the aftermath. Zaba did a horrible tackle = yellow. Costa did a horrible reaction = yellow. Justice is served.
Well we will never know what the yellow was for. I doubt it was for the tackle. It did not warrant a second yellow. FAR from a horrible tackle. You are talking about the EPL, mate.

Diego chose the moment to flare up trouble and Mike Dean took the bait. I don't blame Costa though, he is one intelligent boy who knows when to play dirty and when to play the system. All fair in love and war. Zabaleta should had known better than to give that leeway to Costa.

Maybe under normal circumstances it wouldnt be a second yellow, but mike dean was givin out cards like they were going out of fashion. So it was consistent with his past decisions
Couldn't get to see the game today because of work, blocked out all football feed so I could watch the game when I get home without it being ruined by knowing the score.

I must say I am very proud of our performance, it was a big performance, one that if is kept up I have no doubt that we can retain the Title, even though Zabaleta got sent of I am proud of his performance, everyone putted in a good shift, even when we were down to 10 men that fighting spirit and the support our fans gave was magnificent, even though the game drew I felt like we won.

Special honors goes to Milner for being an engine in our team, I believe he played in four positions today, and to Chelsea fans for showing so much class towards their hero Super Frank, it was good to see that :) On to the next game, Come On City!
Next game will be the Capital one cup. Hoping to see us thrash that side, whoever it is :)
^ Lol, yes, we need to build up some momentum wit some wins now.
Toure is finally getting to his own again! how nice was it to have a stable cb in mangala?
How nice was it to see one of our cb catch back up to Hazard? Could be good times for our defense.

Wonderful game. I thought we could had won with some luck, but overall very very happy with the result. Lampard's strike was worth 3 points, stealing 2 and gaining 1 in the process against the leaders.

Impossible goal for the following reasons:
- Scored against a team nobody can rival in closing down games after leading.. Chelsea
- Set up and scored by two ENGLISHmen at City
- Scored by an abso-effing-lute Chelsea legend
- Assisted by the most underrated CM who also filled in at RW, RB and assisted from LB
- We were 10 men against Chelsea

Milner was the MOTM for me. I can't repeat enough how important he is for our team. Mangala had a monster debut - winning headers like a Boss and having pace and power like nobody I have ever seen. Fabulous signing. Aguero should had scored, but like always he was a handlful for the opponents.

Kudos to Chelsea for almost nicking it - that counter attack goal was as good as it gets. Was painful to watch but boy that was one fine goal.

We are entering a run of easier games after having faced Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea. Time to rack up the points! Hopefully we meet United before they settle down in the league. Leicester really rattled them up.

Last but not the least.. Mike Dean is a douchebag.

No offense Tomi, but all I saw when I initially read your post was "Mike Dean is a douchebag", then I read your full post.

Spot on Tomi, Couldn't have said it better myself.
You saw after the match how much he means to us.

You have our legend. Benefit from his class, like you did today.

Hope the fixture at the Bridge is 11 v 11 for the whole ninety,

Good luck this season guys.

I personally thought the defense of both teams was top notch. All of the challenges today were solid tackles and not worthy of a double yellow/red card. There's a reason many ppl don't like Dean, he's an proper ass.

Still tho, we escaped a few pens i will admit that, overall it was a cagey game, red card ruined it.
+4
My good friend i was watching with, just accepted it for what it is. Lampard is pure class. It'll be nice when we play again and don't have to worry about every foul being a card. I still cheered the zab man off on his way! Mangala is showing his own
feel for you guys, you were way better side... at least its a draw. Mike Dean is a c**t referee, not consistent, beyond me how Fabregas didn't get yellow card.. still feel red card was harsh, and I think sent off wasn't from a challenge but from Costa's reaction and Zabaleta's follow up..
+3
some chelsea fans are mad that pellegrini let lampard plays against his old club, haha
Lampard is a professional, people should understand that
