football is no longer considered an entertainment and has become a sort of barbaric passion. And not to chase a second goal after scoring the first is lacking respect for the game.”

I know this was a friendly and blah blah, but there was one very noticeable observation:
First half we dominated like no tomorrow with the tiki taka of lore. We still could not score and got scored on 2 times.
Second half we played some direct football, some great runs down the wing, some great crosses and really took the game to Chelsea.
We need this two pronged approach to adapt to the situation and the ability to do that. I know we are headed Barca's direction of beautiful football, but I hope we don't lose that ability to play direct football as well. Wide and powerful is just as much fun to watch if not more.

i agree with u tomi. tiki taka is fun to watch when it is producing result but the first half of yesterday's game was dreadful to watch imo. we could have buried the game if we had somebody like fernandinho who like to bang the goal from outside the box :P
@SIF Dzeko can play just as good as a starter...he needs to be the lonely forward though most of the time when he started there was either Aguero or Tevez next to him and even though those guys were instructed to run the channels and not through the middle they would still shift through the middle they are natural strikers and push Dzeko wide .... someone like Dzeko needs a certain formation where the team is build around him and no one is pushing him out wide... more like PSG is playing with Ibra
@Skyblue - I been preaching this sermon all season man, dzeko didn't just become a bad player all of a sudden - He (along with a few of his colleagues) was just being very noticibly mismanaged. As soon as we start playing with width and pace, we unleash the beast.
if pellegrini (or whoever the next manager is) could initiate something to bring out the best out of dzeko then i want him to stay.
