During the Everton vs Lyon match, I saw both Arteta and Txiki in the stands and wondered what they where doing there. They where scouting 6'3 CB from Lyon Mouctar Diakhaby. Interesting, we could possibly see a CB and a LB come in January.
I know we won another game, but Burnley played really well against us. I know we have another home game against the Wolves but Pep should rest key players even tho the Wolves have been playing really well in the Championship, I honestly wouldn't be bothered if we played youth players and lost. We need to focus on the league and UCl. Although I do think Aguero and Sterling will start as Aguero just got back from the injury but needs to stay sharp and Sterling didn't start against Burnley. Would love to see Zinchenko, Foden and Diaz get a start as well, maybe even Tosin.

------------Bravo---------------
Danilo----Stones---Tosin----Mangala
---------------Yaya-------------
-------Gundogan--------Foden---------
Sterling---Aguero------Diaz/Zinchenko

AGUEROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! GOtta Love THIS MAN! Ties the all time record at City.
+1
Agreed, just ashame he got it off a dive.
^ Who cares! Aguero scores, I'm happy!
that was not a dive, the keeper caught his ankle if you look closely
Looks like he threw himself to the ground to me. From the replays I saw the goal keeper made minimal contact if any at all, my grandma could of stood ground from contact like that.
+2
so far every pundit has said it was a penalty and those guys analyze the game a lot. That contact on a knee or shoulder or any other part of the body is minimal but the fact that it was on an ankle that makes it more than minimal cos ankle is a smaller joint even a small contact will put you off
have you guys noticed the amount of goals Hart has been letting in with West Ham? He did the same with Torino. Ederson would have saved all 3 of them from todays game. After all Pep was right to drop him, he's been pretty loose ever since he left City.
+2
West Ham have been so sh*t but yeah its shocking how Hart has gone down in terms of quality. All 3 goals where savable and he was in the right spot but couldn't save them, you expect more from him but since his left City, his lost lots of confidence. If West Ham are going to survive relegation, they need more from him.
Special first 40 minutes. However you one problem that will bite you is playing the ball TOO much at the back. Sometimes just clearing it is good.
Pep wouldn't allow that which is frustrating to watch and can really set us up to fail.
Where is everyone?

Watched the full game. Overall, very impressed all around. Napoli are no pushovers but we came into this game playing how we've playing in the PL all season, complete domination in the first half. G. Jesus is just continuing to impress and KDB is playing on an unreal level atm, top class player. Second half Napoli came back into the game but we stood our ground, got lucky at times but got through it but my is Ederson looking like world class goalkeeper in the making, not afraid to come out of the box, saves a PK and commands his box with some bravery. Really happy to seal three points, we can seal progression into R16 if we don't lose away at Napoli.

Btw, not sure what KDB was pissed at the end of half time, he looked mad as hell.
+2
yeah thats what i wonder too ... Where is everyone?

Ederson is very good...we never had a keeper that can pass and save but now we do. Man of the match for me!

We gotta make sure we finish 1st in the group so that we don't face the big dogs in the play off
+1
Agree with you guys on everything, however I would like us not to play the ball too much at the back if not necessary or being pressed into a corner with no safe pass out, just kick the ball away, we will be punished by top teams if we get it wrong at the back.
Right before he went off, KDB apparently wanted a word with the linesman but they refused to speak to him, so he was upset about that. However, in the post-game interview he laughed it off and said people tend to look far too much in one close-up of the camera.
Not a single decent link :(
SInce we made it into the Champions league in 2010-11, were the only top 6 team that has qualified every year since. A model of consistency that we should be thankful for.
Really is. I know some will say money and although money did play its role, I think back to the squad that Mancini build and how that really made City what it is today. Imagine had it been someone else? Money doesn't guarantee instant or consistent success. Heck, we still benefit from players Mancini brought in such as Silva, Aguero and Yaya. We struggled the first couple of years but now we play like regulars, lets hope we can go all the way this time!
What a game! Hoping for another stellar performance mid week against Napoli!
Napoli is going to be a good test because they are really good. I follow Inter and know just how deadly they can be even against the best. They will certainly bring the game to us and we should be looking for pay back. Its been almost 6 years since last meeting them. A big game Pep must prepare for.

Curious weather Pep will start B. Silva as I think his ready to start.
+2
Milan fan myself. Napoli cannot be taken lightly. The whole team in general is looking really good. I'm sure pep will rotate. It's one thing he's known for.
^ What a game tonight by both Inter and Milan!

As for the CL game. Rotations will be good. Although Pep will go strong, its a great thing our next 3 games are home games!
Milan is in a dire need of a good coach. The current one isn't cutting it. Both Inter and Milan really need to step it up it's sad not seeing them consistently in CL football.
^ True but it will take time. Both are at least going a step in the right direction atm. Montella is really not cutting it but Milan have a brand new team that will need time to build chemistry and develop as I think the team has lots of potential.
+1
Wow something special is really happening at our club, it's like Pep is drilling the players to be ruthless and rightly so, no more excuses it's time to put up or shut up, even with injuries our team is capable and there should be no excuses. I hope Napoli was intimidated by that performance, I hope we show them the door next week proper.
+5
Fantabulous performance. Great shift from everyone. Just hope Walker is doing fine after that horrible challenge from Diouf
Haven't heard anything so I'm hoping he's good. Everyone was great, I just hope we can keep it up and not burnout too much mid season.
