Yes, another 3 points. Gotta keep that momentum going baby
How can we score goals ? Silva is very ineffective, just bring that striker Ambrose or get Fernando and ask Toure to play in opposition box.
You were saying 😐

Thanks guys but it was horrible to watch in first half, I was worried how we're going to score.
http://www.thenational.ae/sport/english-premier-league/manuel-pellegrini-backs-eliaquim-mangala-to-shine-for-manchester-city-at-crystal-palace

Mangala is surely going to be a big player one day but he seems to be going through what a few of our players were going through a few seasons ago. Bring your a game against top opponents and just show up against mid-table/relegation bound teams. Against big sides like Chelsea, Roma and Bayern he did very well and made a number of good interceptions and blocks while against West Ham, QPR and Hull City he struggled so badly it was painful to watch.

So exactly what is it? Overconfidence? Now that we got Palace I'm a little worried because he might screw up. Were going to need Demichelis to bring his A game.
Phew i think we was rly good just now

City keeps ruining football and everything else. The sheikh will leave us in 5 years they said
The whole project brought tons of jobs into Manchester not to mention the permanent jobs that will be given after the completion of the new facility. If anything the sheikh has done more for a city then what most football teams will every do. City have spend a lot yes but the funny thing is our most expensive signing in history was Aguero, worth 38.1m. Nowadays clubs are spending a lot more then 38mil on a single player in the Pl.

Sheikh has done admirably so far.The most important thing is that he he isn't interfering or bothering about day to day activities happening Manchester rather he appointed a great team who managing city administration very well.Cith academy is one of the best currently and It's about time city gonna play with plenty of youth academic graduate in first eleven.

I must say I am one City fan that is happy we drew Barcelona, I can't wait, to see how the action unfolds this time around.
Most of us didn't want Barca because they are going to be odds on favorite coming into the game but don't get me wrong we are still Man City. Last season we missed Aguero and Fernandinho wasn't fully fit and Milner wasn't really getting much playing time. Fast fowards this season we have Fernando in MF who is going to be a strong asset and I'm praying to got we have Aguero and Jovetic fully fit. Our mentality wasn't present, we looked scared last season during the first leg to the point all our players were in our own half parking the bus while only Negredo was on their half.

If we have everyone and Aguero fully fit then I think we have every chance of beating Barcelona. Hell we beat the best team in UCL with ours star players missing. I think this season more then anything we have finally feeling that confidence that we needed, if we play like winners then we are going to win.
http://playingfor90.com/2014/12/18/check-movement-goal-albert-rusnak-video/

Looks like Rusnak is killing it on loan. I don't know if City are planning on keeping him because his being watched by several Eredvisie teams for a January deal.

What's our policy on youth players? Do we have a policy? I feel like once the loanee academy player does well on loan and some team needs him, City will offload him in no time. What happened to Abdul Razak and Emyr Huws? Two promising young talents that were sold and not given a chance. Now we have guys like Rusnak and Denayer who are actually impressing really well in their loan teams. Especially Denayer who broke into Celtics first team in no time. When is he going to be sold?

If MP gave Guidetti a chance then I wouldn't mind seeing him return from his loan deal but since he really wants to leave City after his horrid time here, he got his wish and I don't think his every coming back nor signing a new deal. It just sucks to see how things turnout for bright young City talents and how must won't every make the first team anytime soon. Even if were short on players because of the pressure to win trophies MP will always rely on shopping for proven talent and spending. Even with the new academy, their is no hope for those young kids.
I agree, I've been saying it's kinda pointless having a youth academy if we aren't going to use it for the club.

With the squad we have now and like you said the pressure from the big boys to win win win, it's going to be hard for any youth player to make a solid place in the first team unless he is the next Ronaldo or Thiago Silva or something, I mean if Nasty Nas couldn't make it a young promising defender what hope is there.

I can only see us using the academy as a farm to sell young players at this point, I hope I am wrong, we will see in the future.
Future stars: DF: Rekik,Nastasic, Denayar
MF: Rusnak, Zuculini, Fofona, Bytyqi, Lopes
FW: Pozo, Iheanacho
That's some future talent right their and if I was a manager I would strongly hold on to all of them and if them first team chances then considering selling them. Hell loan them for 2 to 3 season and see how it works out but I mean the quality in those stars would be great for the future.
Yeah but we will see how that goes, the big boys talk big about utilizing the youth players but as the saying goes talk is cheap, we need to see some action.
^ Exactly its been all talk about future stars when its really showed have been titled "no future at City". Hopefully the next manager we get wants to see academy talents in his first team.
Newcastle are interested in Aleksandar Mitrovic, we should sign him instead. Most times midtable sides pick up some awesome talent while top sides go for big overpriced players. We should make a move for Mitrovic.
I disagree....... there's greater talent out there, If we don't recall Guidetti We should be looking for strikers such as Bony, or Muriel type strikers. Big mistake letting Negredo go.
The problem with bringing in an even greater talent is the demand their going to be asking for. What happens when Dzeko, Aguero and Jovetic are fit? I don't see a in form Bony will take a backseat to them? Not to mention his going to the AFCON so he won't be around for to much when we really need him.

The reason why I recommend Mitrovic is because the kid is 20 and is a lethal big striker that's going to be a top talent in a few years not to mention his 4 goals in UCL, a record better then Dzeko and Jovetic combined. His stats in Belgian League and UCL are good. Also I think he would be easier to negotiate with when it comes to playing time he would be able to understand his role and could take a back sit and learn from guys like Dzkeo and Aguero and come in when he needs to considering his 20 and has long way to go. He could be our next top striker in the making and I could see a big guy like him partnering with Pozo up top as a future striking duo, like Aguero and Dzeko.
We don't need to buy a striker, yaya can fit the role then have fernando and Fernandinho do his part
Yaya will be gone for the AFCON during Janaury so we do need a striker. Secondly, Yaya has lost pace and tends to lose possession easier this season and I don't know how effective his going to be on counters when he has to bust a gut. Some times he'll drift during games and he won't be hounding down DFs for possession in their half. I'd much rather see Milner in that possession whereas the guy just brings so much hard work throughout the 90mins when he starts a game.

Bottom line, we need a striker. We deploy two strikers per game because of MP 4-4-2, we have Dzeko who's not injury prone but out of form at times and an injury prone Augero&Jovetic. Thinking long term we need a 4th striker because this might happen again during the end of the season when we need to get some important point and we are missing some strikers thanks to the injury bug or international games which are due to be back. Their is no time for makeshift players because Milner is pretty much only a cover and he can only do so much, he is our MF engine and we need him in the MF more then anything.

I would have liked Guidetti back but City left a bitter taste in his mouth and he doesn't want back anymore and Pozo is our only young academy product that can play.
+1
Hey guys, i snuck in dzeko last week for fantasy and we all know what happened in warm ups. Who do u think will play striker for you guys? you have favorable fixtures so i need a city goalscorer and can't afford Yaya in midfield.

Thanks
We don't have a striker. All 3 are injured. Last time we played Pozo, who is more of a #10. So going forward I have a feeling Pellegrini might play Yaya or Milner in the #9 role.
+1
I read that article about Milner practicing there. He certainly is Mr versatile. Do you think you Pell would hint more concretely who is going to be used in the upcoming days and before a few hers before the match?
He has already hinted Milner, that's about it. Yaya has played that role before. Apart from that nobody else has really played that role at City. In the last game Silva/Nasri played as the two forwards towards the end after Pozo was taken off.. but proved super ineffective. It was like have two #10s and no striker.

I would bet on Milner at this point.

Good stuff! Thx tomikato.
So I just got tickets to see City play next year in Melbourne (my home city) and they'll be playing Madrid. CANNOT WAIT. :D :D :D
