Kind words from Paul Scholes:

"I am a Utd man and there were moments watching City on Monday night when they were so good I felt like turning the telly off."

"I admire their manager, Pellegrini. The club is obviously run well from the top."

:D

It's almost surreal that the media and general footy community are actually praising us lately. I'm so used to them spouting vitriol about how we are ruining football.
Its Pellegrini really, his almost changed the face of this team and the way we do about our business and how we just get the job done and go about our way to the next game without any fuss. With the City a few years back it was about Tevez not listening, Balotelli causing daily problems which lands him in the front pages of tabloids and Mancini falling out with players then their is the failed summer of 2012 transfer window were City spend so much and got very little in return out of the players except Nastasic. It was a hole lot of trouble which people love to talk about, a club with loads of money yet they couldn't get things together.

Also I mean we gotta give props to Txiki who found away to bring 4 top quality talents into the team with only 49mil to spend. I mean Willy, Zuculini, Sagna and Mangala. Not to mention our academy and how well their doming domestically and in international competitions. City has turned themselves into a top professional club that can sustain in future time without a rich owner by building their own brand in their country and spreading the our brand across American, Asia and Australia to become one of the best teams in Europe and win for years to come.

CITD:)
This is a great, great time for City. We are entering our golden years and soon to become golden era.

To have Scholes say such things about us epitomizes the progress we have made as a club. I highly recommend you folks read the whole artice:

CTID!
Here are the pots for the CL draw tomorrow. The possibility of us drawing group of death: 1.Real or Bayern or Barca 2.City 3. A. Bilbao and 4. Roma

P.S. Cannot wait...
Alright we drew Sheffield Wednesday at Home for our first CC Cup game. Thank goodness we didn't draw MK Dons!
Hahaha...yeah, glad we didn't get MK Dons but also it's good that it's a home game :D
Is dzeko fit for the next game?
Not sure, I haven't seen much update on his knock.
Pellegrini said it's not serious but he wasn't sure if Dzeko would play against Stome.
I hope you all got to watch a little bit of the MK Dons thrashing of United, was quite the spectacle.

I saw Vs Mk Dons so i figured its gonna be an easy United win so I didnt watch. 4-0 trashing How could I have missed that?
Hahaha...yeah and here is the heat map of United vs MK Dons:

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Bv_hiHAIQAAD6O1.jpg:large
wow didn't see that coming lol
pretty sure they miss moyes :p
Pretty sure Moyes didn't miss that match.

He'll be having a laugh all the way to the golf course.
They're the past and we're the future.

You guys should stop slagging Utd on this page

I don't like it:D

At least Utd won every game in pre season, thats what really counts at the end of the day
slagging! snitch..lol!

I have noticed New fans are more tolerant towards United, but old fans can never forgive or forget, the way they were treated all those years.
^ This is very True. I remember every s**t call that went against us and other teams and other controversies. Practically every offside goal was a goal for United, That's just one example.
Di Maria: "Unfortunately, I have to go but I want to make clear that this was never my desire. Like anyone who works, I've always wanted to progress".

Translation: Unfortunately, I had no option and my career is taking a backwards step by signing for United.

P.S. Oh and apparently he officially retired from the CL...indefinitely LOL...
^^
He only joined Utd because all the big clubs in europe have done there transfers business and basically Utd were the only club at the monent who can spend such stupid money on one player

^^^Hahaha, yup, and as you know over the years, here is your typical United fan:

1. We have the best academy and continuously produce world-class players - besides that class of 92, how many world-class players have they produced?

2. We never buy players that have no re-sale values, it's not United way - then they go and buy RVP lol...

3. City, Chelsea, and PSG have ruined football by inflating the transfer market - how many time now United has broken the British transfer record, ah? Hmmm...Cole, Veron, Ferdinand, Di Maria...

4. But United’s money is their own - well, this one Einstein himself wouldn't have been able to explain to them that when you pay the seller for their merchandise, they don't care whether or not you, your Dad, your Mom or anyone else, for that matter, made that money you're paying him.

5. Let's wait and see how many more new of these BS they will come up lolll...
Is anyone else excited for the Champions league draw on thursday??
+2
Yeah, same here man!
Looking forward to it, also dreading it a bit. Hope we get manageable group like last year.
we need to have a decent group where we can show our class!
Me too.

I don't think it matters anymore, first two seasons we were in group of death, last season we were in an easy group, but our defense was falling apart, but this season we should be able to tackle any team.

Fernando and Mangala are going to make a big difference at the back.
Exactly our team was never balanced in terms of quality in certain positions and that showed during Cl but now no more excuses, I want us to pile drive into CL success. We can compete with anyone.
Did anyone notice that Fernando is keeping Fernandinho out of the game? What a beast he was today, rock solid. I think Fernando/Toure will be the pairing for the tough games, to provide some stability in the center. In the lesser games Pellegrini will unleash Dinho/Toure or Dinho/Fernando.

Btw, gotta love Pellegrini, forever the romantic playing 2 strikers upfront. Might not work with an away game at Anfield and the Bridge though. The good part was that Jovetic was a withdrawn striker who played between the lines, instead of being stuck up at the top where both Jovetic/Dzeko could potentially be isolated and not get the ball while also not helping in defense
I think Yaya will always start. Fernando was expected to start the season while Fernandinho will take over once fully in form to play a potential 90 mins.
Or, with Mangala coming into the picture, Fernando will be the preferred starter.
There are so many games nobody will be short of minutes, one way or another we have 3 beasts
^ we have more than 3 beasts, I think our whole squad are beasts :)
Props to Joe Hart for making that sick first save before on the shot from Lambert before poor old Zaba put it in the net and Kompany's clearance during the end of the game, gold standard those two!

On the other hand our next 3 games don't get easier at this point.
We've got:
Stoke City (H)
Arsenal (A)
Chelsea (H)
Its certainly going to be tough for us but I'm glad were facing them early on considering our squad is healthy now rather then later during the season were injuries are going to keep top players out in crucial games.

P.S. If only he stays fit...
Lol if only he sticks around long enough with the same tenacity as Henry. Henry's figures are crazy unbelievable for 175 goals. No wonder he is an absolute Arsenal legend. Still scoring beautiful goals in the MLS. Cmon Kun, you can do this too ;)

+2
Aguero's conversion rate is phenomenal, he could go down as one of the best strikers the league has ever seen at this rate. The fact that you could afford to start him on the bench is scary :D
+1
lets see if he can score 175 and maintain his current conversion rate... nah im just a bitter bitch, i've been wanting aguero in arsenal for quite sometime. awesome player.
Just watched the highlights. Congrats on the win. Jovetic looks world class at the moment. Looks like he'll bench Negredo and Dzeko. Is Aguero not fully fit? I was thinking he would start. Looks like our defense is shaky as hell prone to mistakes but I'll be looking forward to the rematch at Anfield.
The first half was balanced but in the second you were flat. Even Sterling he usually plays like he has a wasp up his ass, but today you all had less stamina

It will be impossible to have our 4 strikers all fully fit at the same time, Aguero should not be rushed, a lesson to learn from last season
To be honest that's often the case with this Liverpool side. They blew a lot of teams away last season in the first 20 minutes, but if their initial blitz is absorbed they tend to run out of ideas.

In regards to our strikers, it'd be very difficult for us to keep all 4 happy at once so an injury here or there isn't so bad. There's no rush on Aguero after his stop-start season last year, especially when he keeps scoring off the bench!
