Who remembers Frank Lampard played for us, and was quite effective too :) lol.
Yup, wonderful player. Now lets see how he manages Chelsea.
I hope they give him a chance, they would be absolutely scum to me if they were to sack him in one or two seasons.
I remember he scored against Chelsea but did not celebrate...we tied that game.
90 mil for Harry Maguire? Are you having a laugh, he's worth more than Virgil Van Dijk? Are you having a bigger laugh?
Its a joke. I know City and Pep want another CB but no way in hell. If his worth 90mil, then might as well pay 130mil and buy Koulibaly and his twice the player.

On a serious note. I know it would be a long shot but would love to resign Nastasic as Schalke are willing to offload him to Serie A clubs. Would love to see him return to City.
Nastasic would fit perfectly Pep's system in fact had Pellegrini not sold him, I am 100% certain he would have been Pep's main man in defence because he knows how to play from the back.

Maguire's price tag is that high because he also helps teams meet the British player quota. Rumour is after Brexit teams will be allowed only certain number of EU players and you will have to have more British players.
^ I agree, I could see Nas and Laporte forming a solid partnership, but 90 mil is still ridiculous, English player or not.
Who have you guys got so far, and who will you be getting (or want)?
Rodri in CDM, hoepfully. We badly need another CDM and should be our #1 priority.

CB: I know some think Stones, Otamendi and Laparote will be enough but I don't see Pep feeling assured with only 3 CBs. Even if Fernandinho can play that position, I have a feeling were going to sign another striker. I like Magurie but no way is City going to spend big on Rodri then pay 90mil for Magurie.

RB: Cancelo. We've been linked with him and rumors are that were closing in on him. We do need another RB because if we lose Walker for a long period, were in trouble. Were lucky that his almost always fit but his going to need competition.
B.Silva...what a player!
Damn shame. I knew this day would come. His been one of the finest players I've seen and the finest Spanish player to grace the PL. A model professional as he doesn't say much and just goes about his business. The man deserves a statue outside the Etihad because he could have really gone anywhere else Barca or Madrid and won a lot more trophies with even more recognition but he stayed true to City and never complained. I'm going to miss this legend so much. We need to do everything in this upcoming season to win the UCL. I would love to see Silva go out with a UCl trophy.
okay, whats going on here? he mentioned Bernardo Silva but Moe66 is talking about David Silva leaving next summer?

Just checked its David Silva leaving next summer. Lets win him the champions league trophy so he can leave on a high!

I think its the right move by him considering his form as of late and he always wanted to retire at Las Palmas.

Another legend following legends like Zabaletta, Yaya Toure, Kompany out the door. Aguero is the last man standing.

David Silva will have 400+ games under his belt before he leaves, the most by a City player, not just legend, SUPER legend.
+1
Thought he was talking about David Silva lol

Anyway, did anyone see the way Ronaldo reacted to Bernardo winning the Nations League player of the competition? Lol, he looked so unhappy but then again, Ronaldo didn't even play most of the tournament, he only played in the semis and the finals.
+1
Thats Ronaldo for you...he was always unhappy at Real Madrid if Benzema or Bale scored goals in fact he wouldnt even celebrate with them a lot of times. Most selfish player on planet.
This post gave me headache haha.

@Moe66, I completly agree with you. I was disgustated watching his reaction.. just poor sportmanship right there. Nothing new because I have seen him act that way with RM's players for many years and I never liked it one bit. No doubt that he is truly one of the best players in history, hardwork and determination is out of this world.. it is just that his attitude is just poor s**t and I don't miss him one bit.. infact, rather see Rm go trophyless for a season than win the league with someone who just acts like as if the glory should only go to him.
+1
Lol thats just his competitiveness, which keeps him pushing the boundaries. Even at 34 he wants to win everything as a team and as an individual, that is the attitude of champions ... you cant seriously be hating a player for being more competitive
@Vaaz there is a difference between being competitive and selfish ... Messi Salah Aguero are just as competitive but look at their attitude they even let other teammates take penalties let alone celebrate with them their goals and their individual accomplishments ... Ronaldo is a pure selfish hater, good footballer but the most selfish player to ever walk the pitch.

If i were Bernardo Silva he wouldnt see a single pass from me on the pitch.
@inzizowetrust I honestly can't believe I'm hearing a Real Madrid fan talking about Ronaldo like that. Check yourself bro
Cancelo?

Rumors about us signing him but it will depend on what happens to Danilo. Danilo is a squad player at this best but Cancelo would give Walker a lot of competition.
is the rumour of Mendy to Real Madrid true?
Lol everyone is linked to Madrid. Pogba, Mbappe, Neymar, Mane. It's probably BS
+1
well Jovic and Hazard were linked and they signed for Real Madrid ... considering Marcelo's age and inconsistency they probably want another LB
It is mendy from Lyon. Not ours
+1
It's the young one
+1
Ferland Mendy is a beast and had a heck of a season at Lyon. Not surprised Madrid want him. Heck, I'll trade Benjamin Mendy for Ferland Mendy at this point lol.
wow..john stones , kyle walker..really..like watching ajax vs bpl mid table team
They where awful. Walker had a really bad night. Stones was terrible and McGuire was just awful.

Curious to see how the Rodri deal turns out, rumors are Otamendi might be included in it but hoping his not. His reliable and I really don't want to see us splashing the cash on another CB.
never liked those 2 in your back line, just not good enough in the long run and pep knows it. Stones was TERRIBLE today, Walker wasn't too bad can't blame him for the OG.
+1
Walker and Stones are good players no doubt but they had a bad game for England. Pep would never allow a performance like that from them. Knowing Pep, I won't be surprised to us get a RB and another CB this summer.
just curious..how come city not interested in gareth bale..he can operate all over left field..i still think he has quality left plus he's being treated badly by real madrid i think city can get him for much cheaper
Bale is injury prone. You will not get him cheap and his wages are too high at 500k or may be more. Even if he takes a pay cut, it would still be around 300-350k.
more of a united move imo
+3
City usually signs players in their early 20s on a wage structure around 70K. Mendy Sane Gabriel Sterling (when first signed) Stones Laporte Zinchenko are some examples off the top of my head.
Why? Literally no reason to sign him. We are not desperate for a winger when Mahrez is struggling for game time.
he can be the best lwb..with his crosses and speed...
so its about wages eh
Bale ain't leaving Real to join City and play LWB.
I don't think any PL team would be interested in signing him.
+1
just looking at david silva's stats/highlights, can't believe he was only 24 when y'all signed him (almost 9 years ago btw). i always thought he was much older than he was i suppose due to his style and how he's always several steps ahead of everyone else on the pitch.
Yup, he was only 24 when we got him. His just been so damn consistent throughout his time in the PL that you always assume he was a player in his late twenties.
+2
I remember when he was playing with David Villa at Valencia, it was the ultimate combo the relationship they had, always rated Silva since that time, I was so joyous when we signed him, it will be so sad to see him leave.
He was the brightest talent in La liga during that time. Him and Villa where a combo for sure. Valencia financial problems forced them to sell and boy am I glad we got him.
@Moe totally! it's so weird because i've never thought of him as a player that wasn't already in his prime (even at valencia +world cup).

he was the same age when he signed as sterling is now. THAT's crazy.

anyway, what a player.
+1
I used to watch alot of la Liga back in the day and as said above him and David villa were amazing togethor. I remember being linked to both under rafa along with santi carzola and alba. Sadly we was under gillet and hicks so we missed that boat
+2
Poch messed up, how could you not start Lucas? The guy who single handedly brought you to the finals, the guy was on fire. I knew Kane would be ineffective as soon as I saw him in the line up lol smh, I'm not complaining though, I'm ok with them losing after that dodgy goal that they beat us with.
+2
Everyone and their mamas knew Kane would be useless in that game. Poch just stuck with him because its a big game and didn't want to leave his star man out of the XI. Not to mention Alli was even worse.
Lol Sometimes the best way doesn't always please everyone, big player or not it's a final and you should what's logical, but regardless Liverpool deserved a trophy for the season they had, and just beating Barcelona in such a spectacular way they deserved the trophy then and their, if you ask me that was more of a final.
