Angelino joins PSV for 5mil on a 5 year deal. I'm sure their was a buy-back clause in it. I'm glad he decided to stay in the Dutch league, he had a tremendous season at NAC Breda and earned his move to a bigger club. I would have hated if he signed for Everton and they benched him.
I would piss my pants in excitement if we signed kovacic.
He seems like plan B if we don't sign Jorginho. Napoli's president is simply an a** and always demanding to milk every club for his players. We really shouldn't have to pay 60mil for Jorginho.

Mateo Kovacic is an interesting move. With Madrid's MF, its hard to get some spotlight but his a gem. Would be a huge steal for us considering how versatile Kovcic is and he really does operate anywhere in MF for Real. His a great dribbler, good in tight situations and just continues to run all over the field. Great engine and at times he makes football look so easy. At 24, he would be welcomed. A player can certainly work with.
Mateo is one hell of a player. like Moe mentioned he's very good at getting out of tight situations and likes to dribble past players. I doubt he'll leave Madrid though (hopefully he stays put) given Modric's age and the big possibilies of some youngesters like Lorente and Ceballos being loaned out.
^ I would have thought the same thing. Modric is already 31-32 years old. It wouldn't be easy to land him but he would be one hell of a signing if we managed to get him.
Honestly don’t care that much if the Jorginho bid ails if we go get kovacic. He’s such a fun player to watch. Very inventive. He would pair nicely with Gündogan
I don’t wanna do business with Napoli on soda let alone players
Jorginho is the n1 target as he should be. He simply has the experience, skill set and the know how on how to play the CDM position. Kovacic would need a lot of training and patience but would be a great second option if we don't land Jorginho. Although I have a feeling we will sign Jorginho. Honestly, Napoli will have to sell, they know ain't nobody going to pay close to 50mil for Jorginho.
I like that we can be patient on spending now. Although with Jesus Sané and sterling all lookin for big raises I’m worried about our wage bill.
^ I think our wage bill raised by 25% since Pep joined. Although the board will try to figure something out. I'm not surprised tho, this is what happens when you sign big money players time after time. At some point, Pep won't be able to sign 50-60mil players every window.
Not even a week gone and Yaya has started spewing poison in the press.

You sir, are a self conceited prick. After this interview I can never consider him a city legend. Only loved himself.
Says his color might have something to do with it *looks around city dressing room see half the squad is black* “yeah he has always had something against African players.
i hate it how he tried to bring the rest of the team into this fiasco by saying everyone else is just afraid to speak up..everybody hates pep..
Yaya perhaps forgot that he is 35 years old and any other coach would have limited his chances of playing as well, someone should remind him his age. He also said he wanted a farewell like Iniesta or Buffon does he not know that those two spent 2-3 times as many years at Barcelona and Juventus as he did at City, plus that was a pretty decent farewell for Yaya, I don't get why he is complaining he's killing his legacy. If he was as good as he thinks at 35 he would have been signed by another top club on a free the moment he played his last game for City.

Anybody has a link to his full interview?
The rift between Pep and Toure were there since Barcelona years. I remember seeing some reports even before Pep joined city. Toure mentioned Pep as the reason he left Barcelona. Pep didnt trust him. I dont think that Pep didnt play him because of his age. It could be his attitude or may be he didnt suit Pep's style of play or anything else.
I always felt Toure had attitude problems like when made a fuss about club not celebrating his birthday. He is not ready to fight and wants to be regular. Aguero was snubbed by Pep many times for Jesus. But Aguero fought for his position. Toure is not ready to do that.
Yaya could not have gotten into the team this year, regardless of his age.

For years Fernandinho has done the dirty work for him, now Ferna is dominating the midfield with his new role. No way Yaya can outplace Gundogan, KdB, Silva. He is just being silly.

Yaya keeps saying that he feels he is not respected enough from the fans. Well, he can truly expect not to receive any. What a disgusting interview, classless to the core - with no regard for players or the club.

Inappropriate racist allegations are no worse than being racist yourself. Now he says he is ready to get paid as less as $1/week to play in the EPL and take revenge against Pep. What a f*****g moron.

And all of this while we thought he is a proper city's legend. Those celebration and farewell at the end of the season seems a bit awkward now.
Lost for words. This guy was one of my favorite City player ever but now, I lost a lot of respect for him. After the 13/14 season, he peaked and he was never the same since. He was never going to start on Pep's team no matter how good he was technically. He simply could not handle the physical demands of our style. He needs to get real and show this football club some respect. The fans loved him, his teammates loved him and Pep showed him respect, even after his agent was talking smack about Pep and Yaya had no balls to tell his agent to sh*t his mouth. The club could have let him go after that season but instead offered him a one year deal and renamed a training pitch with a mosaic of Yaya for his years of service. The club loved him and I honesty believe if their was any stars that was going to get a statue outside the Etihad, he would have been one of them. Now his ruined everything. No respect and very childish.
Here is our legend!

Defies logic that sane not in the German squad... I can't even comprehend that decision...
maybe he didn't suit their style of play? maybe he didn't try as hard as he did for City? maybe he had a bust up with teammates or the staff?
Must be something that happened during training? Can't rest on laurels - he would have had to prove himself in training
It's a world cup surely he would be motivated for it. That s**t gotta hurt.
Actually Loew said that he did not meaningfully connect with the rest of the players. Fair explanation if you ask me. They needed balance.
It’s germany. He wants soldiers. The only player who’s been allowed to be creative in that team has been Özil.
Lol so a guy on PSGs bench, a guys who’s played like 10 games and a kid who plays for Germany’s 6th best team get in ahead of a guy who stayed healthy all year but for a thuggish tackle contributed 14 goals 15 assists in a record breaking team and won young player of the year. I mean cmon. Hope Pep gave him a call, must be absolutely gutted.
Sané didn't make the germany squad?? Sané's been better than Reus and Brandt
Zidane has quit Madrid finally someone else will have a shot at that trophy lol
+1
I know Pep said, 2 or 3 players and I really hope its 3 players. We need another FB. I don't trust Danilo and Delph is injury prone not to mention Zinchenko is really make shift. When we came up against Salah this season, we had to play another CB in the LB position just to deal with him. We need to be better prepared.
I think he said 1 or 2 players max. I was hoping it would be Yaya replacement and also a left back we don't need Mahrez our forward line is packed we need a back up of full back.
Angelino to PSV with a buy back clause. Good step up for him. Hope both him and Maffeo do well.
Hoping maffeo really improves over the season, exciting player
City close on Mahrez for 75 mill lol, isn't Mahrez like 28 or am I wrong, why would we pay so much for a player that age.
market is distorted...it's only going to get more ridiculous.
I do like Mahrez a lot but the fee is f***** crazy. If that was the case, we might as well splash on a youngster that will be around for the next 5-7 years rather than a 27 year old.

Napoli rejected our first bid for Jorginho. I'm guessing to guess they want more than 50mil.
Hold on to your horses for this trasfer window, seems we are in for a ridiculous ride.
he just turned 27 so he has 5 years in him and he's got that EPL experience but 75mil is still overstretch maybe 50 mil would be more fair but when clubs know City is coming they hype up the price...I bet if Everton or West Ham went after him the most they would ask for is 40 mil
