For my fellow blue mooners in the states:

Nigel De Jong has signed a contract at LA Galaxy. We will get to watch him in the MLS now
So many faces in MLS now, I can't wait to see LA come to Seattle.
Thought you guys would enjoy this... lol

How sad

It's hilarious
Big 3 points right there. Sunderland were knocking and unlucky not to get a result but our defense held strong. First time saying that all year after an away game
Good luck guys,he is the best possible option out there.I hope he will take you into next level.

As a barca fan,we are overexcited about him and its always exciting to watch his team playing.May be the immense pleasure he and his team given to us is the reason. Can't wait to see his first match on sky blue colour:)
Exciting times ahead for us in the sky blue. Its about time we got someone that not only gives young players chances but gets on the faces of those players that aren't giving it their 100% on the field. Were going to have a major reshuffle this summer.
are't we a little overestimating him too much..with the pressure from the bpl media..we already become a team to beat for next season although we won nothing yet
His worth the hype because his a great manager but come on, this is the English media were talking about. They take things to the next level.
You guys need to wittiness media pressure on Barcelona and Real Madrid. For god sake's we have 4 dedicated papers to just talk s**t about each other and they happen to be the top 4 sports newspaper in Spain.

English Media is idiotic in funny way , Spanish media is hateful and poisonous due the the country politics. Spanish Media managed to takedown the master at controlling media AKA Mou.
^ Marca, AS, El Mundo Deportivo and which is the fourth one ?
Thanks for all the congrats guys, much appreciated :D
Any thoughts on who Pep would want to bring in during the summer? I think Pep could work with mangala. He has all the makings of a great cb! he just needs the discipline that Pep thrives off of. we need to look more into fullbacks or giving angelino/maffeo some reps.
If Pep coming here means Yaya gone who will replace Yaya.
I suspect Nasri is not the type Pep likes, so that's another one.
It will be interesting to see if he promotes youngsters, at least get Denayer back
Pogba?
I said this to Bayern when Pep moved there and I'm going to say this to you guys. Expect many youngsters to either get promoted or get minutes with the first team. Pep is arguably the best at giving and trusting youngsters. Don't have too much info about City's youngsters and how good they are though.
They are good, and some talents left because they didn't stand a chance. It's been years and only Iheanacho!
I want to think Pep is the perfect fit for City, he will work on this academy situation.
If it's about...even winning CL...that's great but it's half side of the coin
@sanchezalexis
That's surely a thing he hasn't done at our club.
There's not even one youngster who got a chance to play for the first team on a regular basis. All of them got sold or loaned out. Even Emre Can didn't make it under guardiola
Well that better be a different story now. City invested a ton on a state of the art academy complex to have a project modelled on Barca
Ok I've got one, no disrespect just a little fun. So in the 2013/14 season Mourihino said Chelsea was the "Little Horse" even while being just a couple points from the top spot, so what does that make Chelsea this season? The Microsopic Horse? Badumm tiss :D
The rocking horse - gets nowhere
+2
lol true. He just did the whole little horse thing to take the pressure off the players, and cfc were only a game or 2 away from winning that title anyways.

this season we might not be a microscopic horse, maybe a sea horse though, those are pretty tiny. if we do make top 4 it would be an amazing feat, and it's still possible so I guess we're a dark horse. good luck this season and congrats on pep- a long term project that paid off and you had success during the project with a couple titles.
+1
Brilliant. You guys will win back to back PL titles and go deep into CL at the very least. Congrats guys.
+1
you forget this is not Bundeshliga
+5
There are more than two teams which compete for the title it won't be as easy as it was in barca and Bayern
+4
Leicester who finished 17th last season are topping the table convincingly...literally every team in PL has potential to spend and afford quality players. Although Pep chose the best team in P PL to manage, it wont be easy for him to replicate the Barca and Bayern success.

Having said that...Im sure he will do good for city...congrats guys
+5
Ah, let the hate flow through you all! Or is it jealousy?

Anyway, you've signed the best manager there is. Enjoy.
+4
Lol the reason Leicester is 1st because they are the only team who have been somewhat consistent. That's all it takes to win EPL. One consistent team. Look what Chelsea did last season. Stayed consistent, won a few games 1-0 and there you have it, winning EPL beginning of the season.
+2
The others have already answered. If freaking Leicester can top the league, city certainly can win back to back titles. The league is not as hard as you make it seem :-))
SanchezAlexis- why are bottom teams in La -liga not showing the same consistency like leicester then?? yes it take consistency to win PL. But being consistent is the toughest part of PL ...today teams like Stock , Newcastle , Everton , Palace can afford to spend 10-15m on a single player...which i'm sure non of the mid and bottom teams in la-liga can afford.

Nobody is hating on Pep.....but its a joke to tag him best in the world for winning trophies with Barca and Bayern. Win a CL with Porto and a decent Inter team is a bigger challenge :)

Hari6988 - Yes no doubt about that..city will dominate PL for next 3 years. United , Arsenal and Chelsea need to act soon
+5
Bazinga: The bottom teams are competing against Barca and Real Madrid who dominate the champions league. How many times have we seen both Madrid and barca in CL semis in the last few years. Which team in PL has the power that Madrid and barca have? Put those bottom teams in PL and they will compete just as much as any PL team.
Lol this is the only year a bottom team EPL team has been first for this long. Don't talk like this happens in EPL every season. And yes, EPL has money and yet La Liga has been dominating in Europe for the last 5 years. So Everton, Newcastle and palace can all spend 15 mil on one player and win jack s**t while La Liga teams like Sevilla can spend 5 mil and win Europa league back to back.

Oh and yes, talk about Mourinhos victories 7-10 years ago. His most recent spells with Madrid and Chelsea have been a failure.
+3
I can justify why Pep is yet to prove that he is best in the world... but dont want to further spam on city's page.

No doubt that he will take city to next level and is ONE of the best...congrats again!!
Bazinga I think it's hard not to agree with you. He's definitely one of the best, but the best? I don't know either. For me, Lucho and Simeone are up there too. But what I hate is people calling Pep s**t and a fraud lol.
low level teams are popping up the PL table more consistently than you think sanchez, look at southampton and liverpool the past couple years.
It's not easy to win a league where you have to compete with Real Madrid, they are tougher to beat than any English team.
Leicester being on the top of the league shows that the top EPL teams are underperforming this season.
+1
I'll also stop blowin up man city's page after this, but it isn't easier to win the league. La ligament has like 3 amazing teams, 2 very good ones, and the rest (15) are poor. Epl has at least a few top notch team, 10 more very good teams leaving 7 poor teams.

So Barca gets a lot more "free points," leaving u and real mostly even in points until you play each other, so you have to beat them and athletico and a couple more solid teams, but that's it.

If Barca has a run of bad form, there's a better chance they're only playing a garbage team and still won't lose points where epl teams are less likely to be playing a team that they can not be on top form and win.
congrats on getting one of the best coach in the world.
