Iheanacho is one for the future.
Zuculini is just awesome! Watching the Kansas City game
I like Nigerian U-17 striker, #72 on trial. But one of my Nigerian friend said he is at least 23, more probably 27.

Don't we have any EDS right back? Why MP plays Clichy at right back, instead of giving chance to some young boys.
If you guys notice, in the past few years, we haven't really sold too many players. It is going to be hard to see some good players leave this summer and possibly coming windows. We have been spoiled by incoming players without having to see their backs.

Richards, Milner, Rodwell, Nastasic are the players I do not want to see go but might be a reality soon.

Sinclair is a player I want to see go but won't happen hahah.
Nastasic and Milner will hurt the most, their quality players and I can't see both leave. Both are starting material type players.
Times are changing, MU are s**t, Liverpool are back, Arsenal spending, and for once u lot might sell to us *gasp*
I agree we are going to know how it feels. City players to arsenal had to happen at some juncture.
Full squad for the US Tour:
Goalkeepers: Joe Hart, Willy Caballero, Richard Wright, Ian Lawlor

Defenders: Micah Richards, Matthias Bossaerts, Jason Denayer, Karim Rekik, Matija Nastasic, Dedryck Boyata, Gael Clichy, Aleksandar Kolarov

Midfielders: Fernando, Samir Nasri, Scott Sinclair, Javi Garcia, Emyr Huws, Jack Rodwell, Bruno Zuculini, James Milner, David Silva, Jesus Navas, Yaya Toure

Forwards: Alvaro Negredo, John Guidetti, Kelechi Ihenacho, Stevan Jovetic, Edin Dzeko

Did you go to Spurs v Sounders Moe? Shame Vinny, Zabaleta, Aguero, Fernandinho aren't with the club during the tour.
I did, wouldn't miss it considering not a lot of PL teams come and play over at the Pacific Northwest. Tbh, Sounders should have won the game, Spurs weren't every good but they did have a young line-up but still it was a good game, 3-3 thriller.

For the City tour players who played in the WC who made the knockout rounds and beyond have their summer breaks extended but yeah kinda sucks not to see those guys but would much rather have them get a nice good rest before the season starts. On the other hand we can get to watch a few youngsters who are trying to make a name for themselves such as top EDS prospects like Bossaerts, Denayer and Huws. Also new signings Zuculini, Ihenacho and Caballero. I'm also hoping to see more of Guidetti.
Yeah man. I visited Seattle for one weekend last month I really liked it there. Amazing how much the city supports all the local teams too. I have really good seats to the Liverpool friendly in New York and might make the trip for the Ac Milan game on Sunday. I expect to see a nice rotation of players and a lot of energy from the senior players of our squad who missed out on a spot in Brazil.
I hope karim rekik gets first team action this season. personally Id prefer him over the overly expensive mangala.
His going to get his shot but not over Mangala. Mangala has age, games minutes, physical presence and more attributes that fit the PL over Rekik who has shown potential in Eredivise but his only had one good consistent season where his played over 20 games whereas Mangala has multiple seasons and experience.
^ Guys a minor technical note - we have not signed Mangala yet. Looks like he was 'close' to signing and suddenly has fallen off the face of the earth lol. Seems like we might be having to sell someone before we finance the deal.
Hearing rumors Javi Garica looks to be the man who could be sold to balance things out. Wouldn't mind if that happened. With Fernando now around, it looks like his opportunities are limited even more.

Agreed, Garcia can be solid at times but he lacks a bit of pace that is needed against top teams.
I disagree guys. Last season we were one injury to Yaya or Dinho away from having 0 midfield cover. Selling Javi would negate any depth we just added, besides Javi really stepped up his game last season.
You do make a good point about him stepping up last season but the pace of the league is something he can't keep up with consistently and despite his good showing its not enough to make up for his bad showings and if that's the case I'd rather give the chance to a young academy product like Emyr Huws who shown potential and send Javi Garica to a league that suits his style better that way don't have to sell a player like Nastasic.
If Nastasic goes I am going to be very annoyed. He is one of our best prospects going forward. I have no idea why we would sell one of our best talents, for cheap.

Rumors are out that Arsenal are willing to pay 16 million pounds for him. Would be sad if he has to go. Selling him to Arsenal is foolish in my opinion. We should keep him for the EPL squad and not involve him for the CL roster if that's what it takes.
One thing is certain, either Rodwell or javi are going to be sold
@Tomi, I agree I can't stand to bare the though of selling him, I rate him above Rekik. When in form his one of the best young CBs in the league if not Europe and after the injury struck season his had its not fair to see him out that way. Especially for 16mil, which would make City look like idiots because in a few years his going to be worth at least more then 30mil. I agree we should just remove him for CL but I don't know how happy he would be about that, every player wants to play in Cl and if he can't I don't know if his going to want to stay.

we can always bring up youth players
And how many youth players can we bring up with the composure, execution and vision that Nastasic already has in his locker at a young age whereas youth players even in the Pl his age don't come close because it takes them years to really capture that skill set for a CB while his already got it. It would rather be foolish to let him go.
City to train within a stones throw of my home in New Jersey.. Sometime between the Sporting KC friendly on Wednesday and the AC Milan game in Pittsburgh on Sunday! I have Friday off so hopefully they will be training then!

Anyone thinks Pelle would be fired if we fail to get any silverware this season?
No, not at all. I mean why would we? He can't possibly be under the hot seat to win the title or go every season his in charge because their really isn't a better replacement for him if he got sacked plus his already done enough. I remember the owner saying that we need to win 5 trophies in 5 years or something like that, well Pelle already knocked off 2 titles in his first season in charge.

Pelle is a great manager, he lead the likes of Villarreal and Malaga deep into the CL campaign when he was in charge and considering that's one of Man City's goals theirs is no better man to do so then Pelle himself, it would be rather foolish if we didn't win the title this upcoming season and he was sacked.
You make a good point moe, but we all know the board members in the epl aren't rational when it comes to sackings of managers.

If pelle were to be sacked I'd go crazy, because that would be crazy, I would be really ashamed of my club.
Well Txiki Begiristain is a smart fella tbh, his helped City get the best possible players and he got us Pelle to replace Mancini which is great because looking at other top Euro teams some directors bring in managers that are no help to push the team. I love and respect Mancini but Pellegrini was a major step up to helping Man City turn things after last 12/13 season display.
Another valid point, and I respect what he has done, hence it would be crazy to sack pelle after what he has done in just his first season :)
Injury blow for Negredo

Manchester City striker Alvaro Negredo expects to be sidelined “for a few months” after breaking his foot.

The Spain international, who played the first half of City’s friendly victory over Hearts on Friday, has broken the fifth metarsal in his right foot.

“I want to let you know that its going to be hard for the next few months, I fractured my 5th metatarsal and will be out a few months,” Negredo wrote on his Instagram account with an accompanying picture of him wearing a protective boot.
Its a quite troubling situation for us. With Negredo out, Aguero still not 100% which clearly showed in the WC, it comes down to if he has a good preseason in him because he hasn't looked convincing in a while. The only striker left is Dzeko and him alone isn't enough. Hopefully Jovetic can stay injury free which is not insured to the slightest considering his long injury list since joining us last season. The two Balkans have to step for City.
Time for Jojo to step up.
Can someone explain to me the squad size issue that's going on? I know you have to have 17 non-homegrown players for the Pl but what is it for CL?
