Young philps is called up as a backup.

Guy did really well in Preseason.
Joel Matip out for 6 weeks..........

You gotta be f*****g kidding me.
Damn what happened?!
broken collarbone. i think he got it right at the end of the game yesterday.
Holy s**t that sucks, hope he gets well soon.
Yea he got a bad bang seconds before whistle was blown
Lovren better stfu from social media shitt and step up this weekend.
Wtf nooooo, just when he found his feet.

Tbh I'm confident with lovren and matip, but we have a very busy end to December. Rotate Fabinho to play center half? I don't want to wijnuldum play there again like last season
Wait a minute- so we have Gomez and Matip out. So the only pairing we have now is VVD and Lovren. But with VVD set to miss the next CL game with suspension, who steps in?? This is terrible. We cannot catch a break with injuries SMH
when is the next CL match? gomez should be back in less than 6 weeks at this point so he may be back. we also have the january window to invest and i'm sure fabinho could sub in for a CB
+1
in feb, got plenty time for both matip and gomez to get fit
It's not a crisis guys before last night it would be VVD and Lovren anyway. But we just can't afford anymore.
definitely need to protect our guys, these injuries pile up quick and rushing them back doesnt help.
Matip did get a pretty bad hit at the end of the game plus he fell awkwardly
Rebeca Tavares is such a sweetheart and Beautiful lady

See her tweet back at Ancelotti and Mertens 😄
That’s why I love this sport in everything in life we have to be quiet and wait !!!! We have to live the present, so let’s celebrate this victory
Allison and Mo made us 11 mills

11 Milners?! That'd be awesome

Man the ref yesterday waa so s**t.
I heard psg loaned him to napoli for the game
This refree has officiated about four of our matches, we lost three..only one we ever won.. was yesterday.
Mane... the only player not be challenged for his spot. He’s safe at LW
If he didn't work so hard he be dropped for Shaq
I would love us to get either Pulisic or dembele (even though he is abit of a bell end)
Mane is fine. He had a similar form last season then he went on to destroy teams afterwards. Goals will eventually come. I remember people were slating Salah in the beginning of the season as well.
Mane had an awesome start to the season but has been a little inconsistent of late. I want to see more interplay with him, Milner, and Robbo on the wing. They play well together and can get in behind defenses.

Who else thinks Van Dijk deserved a red for Merten's challenge?
Salah should have got a penalty as well.

Van Dijk got the ball first in his defence.
+2
It was a great tackle and got the ball first. There is no freeze button to stop your movement when you go in sliding for a tackle.
+1
Carlos.
It was a fair challenge and got the ball cleanly too. Wasn't even a yellow tbh.
+1
For me it was a decisions that can go two ways.

VVD cleanly clears the ball but after that there is some nasty contact on the opponent. This contact can be seen as an accident (Yellow) or intantional contact (red). In any case it is a dangerous contact that can cause a long term injury so a card any day.

To say it was not even a yellow is only possible with bias googles on IMO. If it had happened to Salah I would scream for a red card to be honest.
I honestly didn't think it was even a foul. I could see how people would want a card because he caught the player after winning the ball but I still think it was borderline even a foul let alone a red. The contact with the ball if I'm remembering correctly wasn't even with his studs, only after that his studs made contact. I hate that nowadays you can't really follow through with fair challenges. Sometimes even if you clear the ball with a normal kick and the opponent is caught with the follow through you can get sent off. At some point it is on the opponent to look out for themselves and not go in for tackles if they are at risk.
For me it clearly is dangerous play and risking your oppenents health. But there are different opinions on it.

Funny how everyone was moaning about a midfield of Hendo Wij and Milner and then the guys who got us far in the CL stepped up again yesterday and got us the win! Makes you realize that these are pros and bashing them after every bad performance doesn't make sense
+1
Nah i still think Hendo is bench tier. Gini and milner, i dont think they get dragged on here a lot, they all put in a shift, but as far as creativity goes, they bring 0.
+2
If we didn't had Fabinho, Keita and Shaqiri in the ranks then yes we would have to live with Hendo, Millie and Gini. But unfortunately we have better Arsenal in mid-field at the moment but all on bench.
Every player has a role to play if we are to win any trophy this season. Rotation is a key part of it.
+1
I'd say Milner is the most creative of the trio. His link up play is the best and he is the best goal scorer of the midfield three.

Hope this won't get old for entire season and many to come.
