Confirmed: Liverpool is taking the trophy
Liverpool expected to become first club with €100m annual net profit
+2
Feels like just yestaday every lfc fan was againts fsg, got to give them credit. After the sale of coutinho, we brought in so many good players and still made huge profit
+1
Maybe FSG changed because so many fans were against them uno, or maybe klopp encouraged them with his performances and passion.
Thoughts are with Emiliano Sala and everyone on board the plane ❤️🙏🏼
+2
Terrible terrible news, really feel for him, his family, and all of Cardiff. Today was supposed to be his first day at the club after becoming their new record signing. What a moment that would have meant to him and his family. Really hope for a miracle and for them to somehow be found alive but sadly odds are against it.
+3
Kevin-Prince Boateng!!
Forgot about him, hopefully he revived his career..? Strange move but it makes sense to provide cheap experienced cover for Suarez
He is so crap now lol
+3
Glen Johnson has announced his retirement. I wish him all the best. YNWA
+1
Let's all congratulate United, from 6th to 6th what a run
+6
Lmao, Would love if they qualified for europa, maybe it could derail their top four ambitions next season once again, unless they purposely bow out the competition of course.
+6
That would be goooooood !!

Still a lot of games to be played friend! At the moment we are happy we can play attacking football. I would much rather be in a position fighting than be in a top spot and succumb to complacency.. we shall see! It’d be a shame if Klopp goes another season without winning!
I don't see Chelsea finishing 4th tbh.

Fastest to 50 goals in the Premier League:

Andy Cole - 65
Alan Shearer - 66
Ruud Van Nistelrooy - 68
Mohamed Salah - 72
Fernando Torres - 72
Sergio Aguero - 81
Theirry Henry - 83

What a player we have! and if you measure Fastest to 50 by minute, he comes in second only to Alan Shearer.

Shearer - 5337
Salah - 5374
Torres - 5483
Van Nistelrooy - 5600
Aguero - 5710
+2
And Salah doing it when the prem is at its hardest.
+6
exactly. much more competetive now
trying to tell me the quality of defenders are better now than in the 90s and early 2000s?
+4
^ours are.
+3
also this season: Goal involvements, Salah tops the list with 23 (16g/7a)

Talk about warm weather training. Anyone else here thinks I am wrong when I say that Klopp orchestrated the cup exits? Wily AF, the man knows his priorities this year. Injuries can really derail your current squad effectiveness and the german has calculated his decisions to the last decimal.
+1
Well we were beaten fair and square in the league cup, and. Played the only lineup available in the fa cup. He couldn't have done anymore really.
+1
i can definitely see why you'd say that, but i don't think we exited the domestic cups intentionally. it's been a few years since any silverware has come to anfield and ANY trophy this season would be a successful campaign (although perhaps not in the fanbase's eyes). i agree that we can now focus on the league and CL now, but as Klopp hasn't won any trophy at liverpool yet, he'll want to get as far as he can in every competition available.
+1
@Honestabe, for the FA cup game, the following game was a week later, which is really good enough time for a squad to recover. Add to it the fact that Wolves (at home) would play a strong team since that's a realistic shot at a trophy for them. Klopp played a very weakened team, most of who had not played together in a game. If you play that team against the Wolves you will be beat 3 out of 4 times IMO. Hence my thoughts.
yeah you're absolutely right, and i could be totally wrong and klopp could come out at the end of the season and say they wanted to prioritize the league and then CL, which would all but confirm your theory.

But imo klopps team selection had much more to do with our injury list, and it was the only time to really test some of the promising young players (Jones, Camacho, Hoever). he also got a chance to get Migs, Sturridge, Origi, and Moreno who wants out, a runout. We can't afford to start any of those players in the league or CL, even sturridge really.

kinda just playing devil's advocate here, cause there's definitely a part of me that thinks the same way you do.

Seeing a lot of fire going around here between us well between other City users but I'd like to say something.

I've been playing in real life and game/watching football since I was in my early teens, my dad was an Arsenal fan at that time when guys like Wiltord, Henry, Viera were running the show however I just watched never supported a team, I always watched as a neutral, however time went by and I fell off watching football or playing it in real life or gaming, didn't follow any news or anything for a couple years and one year I decided to get an Xbox, this was around 2007 going into 2008 and I was looking for some games to pick up and I remembered just how much I loved the beautiful game of football.

So I picked up FIFA and I'm in career mode and it's time to make a decision about which team to play with, and at that moment I decided not to be neutral anymore, so I was thinking and I told myself I didn't want to jump on any team because they are always winning and I remembered just how much I hated the arrogance of the United fans, even as a neutral, I thought about the other teams, I had respect for Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea but I wanted to be different, then I looked at City, Manchester City, even though they weren't up there I felt like they were the rivals of United even though Liverpool were, so I chose City from that day on, I didn't even know about a potential takeover I just chose City, and you know I don't care if anyone calls me plastic because I know within myself I am a true City fan who would continue supporting them even if we were relegated, yes we got took over but money doesn't always guarantee success just look at United's recent failings, money still have to be spent wisely, anyway off that topic.

Now I agree 100% when Liverpool supporters say we can't talk about success when it comes to United or you guys, you have been there for years and we have only just arrived, past or not success is success, and I watched Liverpool for years and I have nothing but genuine respect, I remember when Gerrard was bossing it shooting screamers from the halfway line lol maybe a bit to far out, and Alonso as well, when El Torro was in his prime.

Anyway you'd never hear me make a joke about Gerrard's slip, as I not only see him as a club Legend but also a football legend period and he deserved something before he left the club, he is class.

Anyway that's how I came into the game and that's how I see the game I welcome friendly banter and good sportsmanship, as soon as we get at each others throats and personal even making unreasonable comments from any fan is when it starts becoming a toxic game and I want my football to be toxicity free, but at the end of the day there is always some fool, be cool guys like Sergio said on our pg I love most of you guys, peace out.

Much respect for this, and as much as all clubs have trolls and toxic supporters, they also all have class supporters much like yourself.
+2
The onus isn’t on us city fans to prove to you are fandom. The questioning of it alone is undignified. Every city fan on here will have their own story and it doesn’t make them any less of a fan.
+1
@Khessler, I agree - nobody has to explain their fandom. I think Silva is just pouring his heart out. He's a sensitive lad :P

What I am saying is - you don't need to justify your posts below or defend City - it is same as Kop4ever coming to our forum to defend Salah. You could actually contribute a lot more like you do in the City forums. Let's not get into this sparring game, shall we? It does not do any justice to any of us and is a f*****g waste of time. No more generalizing.

Simple rule - if you come to the Liverpool forum, don't piss people off. Over time, if you really develop the relation - folks will actually want you to come here and lay down your views. I guarantee that.

+4
No one is saying all City fans. Though there are some on this site who are trolls and nothing more. City are amazing fans. Even came up with a parody of the allez allez allez song
+3
People that abandoned other clubs to became city fans in 2012/13 are actually chatting s**t, the actual disrespect of these brittle plastics. Focus on filling your empty stadium you shitty entitled brats. Imagine spending 540 million pounds in 2 years and not getting a treble, Imagine spending 540 million pounds in under 2 years to build a super team and losing matches at all , the audacity. I know it hurts to look at the table, know shame. Dont worry, if you dont win it this year, im sure daddy will give you guys another 500 million to buy it next year. And at least win a champs league before you step to us.
+1
Ffs stop fighting. This is lame. A few fans being disrespectful. We don’t have to fight a war for it
+2
I agree with Tomikato. Most city fans here are decent fellas. Do not project the behaviour of a few idiots on all of them.
+1
Oops I hope I didn't ⛽ this, tbh i was talking about the influx in salah dive memes on reddit and insta made by certain City fans 🙄
+1
Wolf that's a pathetic ass post dude. Funny how trying to put someone in their place puts you under the standards to which you're judging them on.
Why people always talking about how much we spend and act like their above that sh*t. If your club was spending that money, you would be rolling out excuses left, right and center on why its ok for you to spend that money.

Give it a rest.
