What do u guys think will happen to Balo for the rest of the season. Ofcourse he doesn't fit our style of football when playing a lone striker.
He has failed to convert almost all of his chances in front of goal. We as fans have every right to blame him for the poor show.

BUT, given all I have stated above, he still works harder than we have ever seen him under other clubs. He is pretty good with the ball and retains possession at times with his bulk strength. With these 2 attributes and a partner like sturridge shld do him a world of good.

I am really optimistic about balo now and looking forward to the rest of the fixtures!
Pre-match news:

* Daniel Sturridge is expected to return from injury for this game, most probably on the bench.

* Mamadou Sakho confirmed on Thursday that he'd be back training on Friday, and in his pre-match press conference, Rodgers stated that he'd 'assess' the defender's fitness before selecting his squad.

* The only other notable absentee is Jon Flanagan, who remains on the sidelines with a long-term injury.

* West Ham are reportedly struggling with injuries, which is great news for Liverpool. According to Sky Sports today: "The Hammers...could be without a host of first-team regulars [including] Carl Jenkinson, James Tomkins, Alex Song, Joey O'Brien (hamstring) and James Collins (groin)"

* Loven may come back into the team instead of Sakho if Rodgers decides to rest Sakho after his injury.

* Markovic had an ineffective game against Chelsea, so it'll be no surprise if he drops to the bench.

* It's impossible to drop Coutinho at the moment as he's arguably the club's best attacking player. Gerrard will obviously play, as will Sterling, which means £26m Lallana faces another game on the bench.

* He'll probably be joined by £16m Balotelli, who will not dislodge Sterling or Coutinho from the starting line-up.

* Hopefully, Jordon Ibe will back in the squad after being cup-tied for the last three games.

If Liverpool win and Spurs lose, the club will move into the top six for the first time this season, so there's clearly a huge incentive to get the three points.

* West Ham haven't won at Anfield since 1963

I don't know if it's obvious that Gerrard will start. Wouldn't be surprised to see Sterling, Lallana, Coutinho, Gerrard, Lucas as mid and attackers.
+1
Dayumm! That last fact. 1963 is a long long time..
Can't wait to see the Coutinho and Sturridge combination.

Is sturridge playing tomorrow? Wondering if i should pick him for football fantasy? Any suggestions?
I think he will be on the bench, but he might not start.

I don't want to be rude to Chelsea fans, but what's this campaign thing they talking about.
It is a campaign that the world is thinking that Hazard likes to fall down.. Cos obviously he is going for honesty and sportsmanship award at the end of the season.

It is also a campaign because their players are straight up gentlemen, Since Drogba to Costa. They are always misunderstood! All these conspiracy theories about their players would screw others.. more so their wifes! or Racist! That's a really bad campaign!

Let's support Chelsea FC! Stop the bullying campaign!
While at it.. Maybe we should also start hating on Lampard, because.. a player who scored against his previous team, doesn't deserve respect? right? even though he's not offered a new contract.. Chelsea FC! or DIE!
+3
^Wow! thats one way of looking at it. The word campaign came up after a week long media barage claiming Chelsea players of diving. As soon as the tabloids started chirping Chelsea players started getting cards for simulation, most were not dives. The final straw was Cesc being denied a penalty at Soton, instead he was booked for diving, which was a terribe call that lead to us dropping 2 points.

Anything that happened after the Soton match has nothing to do with what Jose said. He was refering to the fact that the refs seemed to be following a trend after the media accused some of our players of going down too easy. Hazard is the most fouled player in the game and with that comes slot of hacks and chops that the refs let go. Jose asked the league to protect Hazard as he is one of the gems in the PL crown. The FA have said and done nothing in this matter.
+1
^He has done it before, let's hope the Chelsea fans don't send any refs death threats this time. In case you don't remember what I'm talking about:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/c/chelsea/4346509.stm

If all else fails-> blame the refs (or Unicef).

omfg de bruyne, is quite amazing

i said like 2 months ago we should have gone for him. he is perfect replacement for gerrard.
he made Dante his bitch and put 2 past neuer with ease
KDB was always amazing, don't know if he will do as well in prem league but he has been one of my favourite players to watch at Wolfsburg for a few seasons nw
Maxi Arnold with some beautiful passes. This game clearly shows why they cannot win the CL this year.
Brendan Rodgers insists Liverpool boast sufficient firepower to achieve their Champions League dream.

Strikers Fabio Borini, Mario Balotelli and Rickie Lambert have scored just three league goals between them.

“I very much doubt we will do any business to help us for the rest of this season,” Rodgers told the ECHO.

Call me a pessimist but I'm not sure I agree with Rodgers. We've seen just in these past two legs against Chelsea we ARE NOT CLINICAL ENOUGH in front of goal.

A lot of pressure will be put on Sturridge now coming back into the team to try and shoot us into the champions league spot. He's been out for quite sometime and isn't at full match fitness yet. Will be interesting to see what happens in this next crucial month for us..
We have the pace, the positioning, the technicalities on the ball.. but we just can't put it past their Goalie. I mean forget long range shot that beat the goalie, we can't even score from a heading within 7-10 yards. We out barraged our opponents, again and again, but we lost on a sloppy defending over and over again.

I'm not wishing for Suarez to be back to carry us, but if we can just improve on our shooting or.. defending.. we will get that top four spot.

However, as we are performing at the moment.. I'm a non-believer, especially since we aren't signing anybody.
I wish BR would just cut the bullshit and say that he isnt getting any money for transfers. we OBVIOUSLY need some more clinical strikers. we cant rely on sturridge all the time. we also OBVIOUSLY need another goalkeeper. even if migs is performing better atm we need a solid backup gk to compete and keep migs on his toes.

EVERYONE can see this and BR saying that the current team is good enough for top 4 just makes him look like he is ignorant.

that being said. IF sturridge remains uninjured the rest of the season, if balo starts gaining form, if migs doesnt start sucking again and if the rest of the team continues to play like the last few league games, then we have a shot for top 4 but thats a lot of ifs. our future would be more certain if he made several more solid additions to the team

Diego Costa to get 3 game match ban for the stamp on Emre Can. What about Skrtel? Should be 6 games at least.
+5
Only the first stamp counts, not the whole post office collection !!

Anyway it is just a conspiracy, world is conspiring against Jose and Chelsea.

+6
It should count, since they end up paying for the lot.
+3
I dont know why people are complaining. I'm pretty sure other people have been banned for a lot less.
+3
Whatever BSS27, it's a campaign against the messiah..believe or burn in hell !!
+2
lol funny hearing these whining Chelsea fans talk about this "campaign" against there team. Whatta joke!
+5
There always is man, Real had a campaign running against them and world would day and night eulogized Messi and no one was loving the eye poker X1. Now it is Chelsea..there is always and there will always be a campaign.
+4
i agree with lfc140812,

however the very fact that there is any talk of there being a campaign means that jose has succeeded in his purpose.
+2
^ not really. He's just been whining about it like a c**t for a while
+2
He would have actually achieved his purpose if his whining stopped the FA from punishing Costa. Now, all he did was make himself look like an idiot throwing a hissy fit. Not sure that was his all conquering master plan.
