some good points here. have to feel a bit sorry for moysie, he was getting way more hate than LVG is now
#MoyesIn

1. Points at this stage

After five Premier League matches last season under David Moyes, United had seven points, This season they have five. It was a terrible start then. It is a nightmare now. Historically, Van Gaal has now overseen United’s worst start to a Premier League season.

2. Money spent

Van Gaal spent almost £160m on new six faces during the summer. At this stage last season, before the £39m signing of Juan Mata in January, Moyes had spent £28m, bringing in just one player. That one player was, however, Marouane Fellaini.

3. Young players used

Moyes brought in the winger Adnan Januzaj (yet to start a game for Van Gaal). Van Gaal has brought in Tyler Blackett. The defender Blackett was ruthelssly exposed by Leicester‘s forwards on Sunday in the 5-3 thrashing before he was sent off, the terrorising Jamie Vardy in particular.

4. Goals conceded

Three at the back or four at the back, United’s defence just is not clicking. In all competitions this season they have conceded 11 goals. Under Moyes before the 22nd September, United had shipped only four.

5. Experience

Moyes took the job hand-picked by Sir Alex Ferguson for his work at Everton. Just one Champions League play-off and one fourth-placed finish was the highlight of his C.V. Van Gaal has won eight league titles in four different countries and a Champions League with Ajax in 1994/95.

Biggest difference between Moyes and LVG was the way their teams played, moyes team always gave impression that they’re trying hard to avoid defeat, whereas LVG team is looking to win a match rather than to avoid a defeat.
best thing about LVG is our team has stopped playing Zombie football..We play attractive football..need to sort out defense tho..
but honestly Moyes lost his job when he lost the dressing room..players turned against him which is not a good sign for a manager at all..
and he was never ready for a job..he always it was too big for him..
i really like the guy..but i think he is not the right man for the job..
really frustrated that we didnt go for xabi. he is a someone we can really use right now. our opposition are shutting gerrard down and our defense is shaky. xabi wouldve been able to strengthen both those areas by starting plays and distribute the ball, and at the same time proved some covering for our defense.

old age my ass, alonso's still delivering some top notch stuff for bayern right now.

we seriously need to buy a world class midfielder in jauary
+1
f*****g Glen Johnson.
+1
Who?

I do know of a John Glenson though.
There is no way i see city, chelsea and arsenal getting out of top 4 spots.

It is going to be a fight between Liverpool , United, Everton and Spurs

We need to understand now teams are gonna press gerrard and not let him get time on the ball. Our front players are not doing enough to press the opposition into mistakes and keep them in their own half. We have to change tactics either provide gerrard protection or fix our attack. Otherwise we will get destroyed in midfield.
+5
Spot on.
+1
Same, I think we can pip Spurs but, Everton and United are the ones we have to keep a close eye on.
+1
We need to buy a DM in January and let Gerrard sit on the bench.
+1
I think LFC are definitely superior than those other three teams. But not by a lot and with a bit of bad luck the team might fall outside of the top 4. Luckily those other squads have as much and more wrong with them as LFC.
And don't count on Arsenal for the third spot with such confidence, their form tends to dip around Christmas if previous seasons are anything to go by. I think we need Studge back as soon as possible and that would help us a great deal. We win a few games with him in and Mario will have a breather n the time to settle in. I think what we are seeing is less of a tactical frailty and more of a lack of chemistry due to 10 new players in the squad. It will only get better with time and we need to keep Sturridge fit during this transition phase if we are to come out right at the far end of the season.
+1
City and Chelsea top two but the rest are interchangeable, don't bank on Arsenal.

Amazing , could have been a best writer of our time , but instead chose to grace football field with his class . Class !!!!!

i might switch lallana for coutinho depending on form, lallana was on fire in that position last year and coutinho was decent but still a little raw (and NEEEEDS to work on his shooting)
Rest Steve G.
+3
I really don't think two strikers is the way to go on this squad. I would play three attacking players in behind the striker and one striker. Something like Coutinho/Sterling/Markovic or Lallana with Sturridge. Balotelli while good is a reserve option in this squad. He doesn't work hard enough to be the main guy.
Stevie G, the forever playing 34 year old... Legend, but even Superman needs to rest sometimes.
+3
Also, Lovren-Sakho looks good on paper, but so far it has been chaotic in practice.

And I think it is Sakho's fault, he is so good for France, yet when he plays for us he makes comical amateurish errors. Which makes me think it is because he doesn't communicate enough in English. He needs to speak up more.
+2
i think this was "when fit" though and i gotta say despite his age, stevie's still our best midfielder, although i hate to see him in the DM role. we still need a destroyer in midfield defensively that can pass. we missed out on a quality player in alex song.
@Honestabe

Yea I did notice that ("when fit") after posting, but you can blame Rainmaker for initially making me think otherwise.

Well the one saving grace is that we are doing only slightly better than United. But wow, these last several weeks have been painful to watch.
+3
That's an understatement mate!

looking at the not so bright brightside... were still above united
