Apparently Jose Enrique was in training today. Hopefully he will make an appearance before the end of the season.

YUSS! Might come back against his former club on the last day xD

edit: as a substitution maybe, if we're leading by a hefty margin
Do we even want that at this point? Unless LFC are up 10-0 on their way to a title against Newcastle, I don't want to see Enrique on the field before Flaninho and Johnson.
+2
I wouldn't play him either just yet, he wouldn't be match fit anyway. Hopefully he's ready for pre-season though.
If Borini want's to prove a point, tomorrow's the day. Agent Borini, you have your orders...
+4
Alright since they play first. Come on Sunderland!
+1
I for one think this is good for Hendo. He hasn't been immaculate since Swansea and if he can recharge and come back for the Newcastle game that'll be huge. Lets hope Lucas or Allen can step up big. I have faith in them. YNWA
+1
I couldn't disagree more ...

... his work off the ball is immense for our team. He's not the type of player to score a bunch of goals, considering in our system, it's his ball retrieval and pressuring opposition that works so well for us.
The way we play, our midfield is definitely more stable with him on the pitch.
+1
Does Borini have a future with Liverpool?
Yeah as third option to Stuzza and Suarez, I would say absolutely.
+3
I am not sure. I think it would depend on who we get in the summer.

We tried getting Costa last time around, so if we target forwards of his caliber again and get them in, then I don't think Borini will stay.
+1
I would want him to come back. We dont need more strikers.
If we come across lower table games, we can just rest wither S or S and put in Borini.
+2
From the few games I've seen, I would say nope :(
If not determination, he seems to lack pure talent somehow...
+2
i would like to think he can be a great player, and to be fair when he has played kind of well. he got injured. while bieng on loan he showed signs of mabey becoming a great striker. Lets see what BR does..
+2
I like we loan him out 1 more season and try to get another striker..don't see Aspas future here either.
Yes he has a future here and why would Costa play second fiddle to SAS lol? there's no way world class strikers like him will sit on the bench hence we need players like Borini. He suits our system perfectly. He's got pace and can press people to their death at least from from what i have seen.He might not be as skilled as Sturridge or Suarez but he's got that directness which SAS lacks. He could be our new Kuyt.
+1
Iago aspas should be nominated for PFA Player of the season
More likely PFA Player of the bench. The fact he has 'ass' as part of his name will help him.

And Jose Enrique would fully deserve PFA Player of disappearance, although it is a close race between him and the Diaby, who has gone unchallenged for several seasons now.
+5
Imagine if Flano hadn't stepped up? No one thought Enrique would be out this long which is slightly worrying.

Kind of feel bad for Aspas. He hasn't gotten much time because our attacking players are in great form, just not sure he's Liverpool quality.
+1
BlackAna, did u just forgot about Coates here..
@Ynwa4ever

Wow yea, I truly forgot about him. He is playing on loan for Nacional though.

Assuming you win the league, do you know how much Henry has allocated for the summer transfer window to battle for multiple tournaments and add depth at every position?
And will that figure change if you don't top the league?
+1
Priority for this season was to get a Champions League berth for next season.

Anything better than a Champions League spot is a massive bonus.

So, failing to win the League [which wasn't a high priority for this season, in the first place] wouldn't and shouldn't hinder FSG from spending as much as they would have if we DID win the league.

And no, we don't know the exact amount FSG are planning to spend.
All I know is, if the player is right and the price is right, FSG will indefinitely sign him.
Last summer, we failed to bring in an Attacking Midfielder i.e. Diego Costa, Mkhitaryan, Willian, etc ... and we were actually reported to have put in solid bids for all of them, Costa's 30m being the highest bid.
So that money is still lying around. lol What's for sure though, we'll definitely get an AM this summer. I think Rakitic is high on our radar atm. *fingerscrossed*

OK, so much talk about penalties from rival fans. Here 5 years assessment(penalty goals)

thats what I have been saying all this time...if you get the data of the last decade m sure utd will be number one....good work pulling out the data
+3
its piss me off when they talking we winning from penalties when they do that few pass season and we dont even care about it.
+1
oh look chelsea had 11 the year they won and scored a lot of goals.

i wonder why its hard for their fans to comprehend why we would get the most penalties when we are scoring a lot.
+2
it's s**t like this that pisses fans off:

You can shout YNWA all you want, but these are dives; so you can own up to them, or choose to ignore them.

Drogba was a diver, and we Chelsea fans accept it. You need to do the same for your SAS.

+3
What some fans don't understand is that Liverpool is in the oppositions penalty box A LOT this year due to the attacking style of play we have. We create a lot of chances in and around the penalty box.. thus more penalties! It's not rocket science
+1
not trying to start anything but you had 12 penalties this season and 9 away from Anfield off the top of my head 4 matches away penalties were winners or leveled the match
yeah coz we are sick
phenom, correct me if i'm wrong, but i think the 10 is including only penalties in the league, not other competitions? thus all the other numbers would be higher for all the other clubs as well i believe
+3
Only 11 Penalties in the league, one of which was missed. Almost half of the total happened in two matches against United and West Ham.

And yes, Liverpool get penalties this season because they attack unlike certain teams that sit back and try and bore the other team to death.

Not to mention, the premier league totals over the history of the league indicate that none of the top teams are particularly favored as everyone is within a few penalties of one another.

Attack a little bit and with some creativity and your team might get a few penalties as well.

It is kind of odd that the first season in the last five that Chelsea have fewer penalties than LFC, completely justifiably as well, every Chelsea fan suddenly thinks there is an issue.
+4
PENALPOOL -_-
+1
what a penard we are... -.-
+1
I completely agree about Dan about hoe more time in the penalty box equals more penalties. I also would like to say it's what United fans have been saying for years. Just goes to show the change in mindset that comes with the change in league position. I genuinely find that interesting.
...
+1
we actually feel ashamed every time our player dives for penalty or free kick, Sturridge for example during man utd game..i know that..but if there small arguable between dives or not in that 1 decision we will stay behind our player(like demichelis on Suarez)..of course not if they dives..thats why i personally never care about other team dive because we have that kind of player too..but so do other fans..why care about our penalty decision while your team get a lot in the past.?
Do you think Bruce Grobbelaar ( L.F.C 1981 -1994 ) is out of order for attacking Simon Mignolet?

He said " Mignolet is a good shot stopper, but by no means the
best all round Keeper. His positioning of free kicks
his position is not right. The team and defence is too
far back for the keeper. They're on top of him . He's
not commanding enough "

Man has some valid points.
+5
It wasn't the right time to make such statements, but he isn't wrong. I am sure Mignolet will improve.
+1
IMO Mignolet started it all with his last minute penalty double save against Stoke. He broke the jinx of us not collecting 3 points on opening day and that was the moment for the very first time when I thought this season could be different. Even against City he made a brilliant close range save of Dzeko of Henderson's miss pass at 2-2. That was a big moment no one discusses. I'm with Simon. Let's hope he takes this positively from the 'spaghetti legs' legend and keeps four consecutive clean sheets to shut the doubters up. Let's be positive. No time to be negative. Not right now. Never. Onwards and upwards. YNWA!
+6
the timing of this couldn't have been any worse. the players need all the confidence going into these last four games. they don't need to be criticized at this point. just hold off until the season is done.
+2
I agree this is not the time to make negative statements, all Liverpool legends should be stopping by @ Melwood cheering the boys on with 4 games left.
+2
Hopefully our players aren't reading much into the media part of things. Need to stay focused... can't let this "background noise" like Rodgers said bother us.
doesnt matter what he says cause simon is probably not reading newspapers in his free time lol.
+1
but he probably come to footytube and trolling around this site..
