Lads I was wondering if yo've noticed a difference in the way Liverpool and Spurs celebrate compared to other teams. When I've watched you on MOTD your players seem to hug and huddle like us, but with other teams all I see are high fives and individual celebrations with players looking like they're pissed off they didn't score instead! Maybe I'm imagining it but what do you think? Poch and Klopp seem like they instil a lot of team spirit.
+1
Yep the egos are there in all teams, but they're kept in check by our managers more so I would say.
An extremely good point, while watching the PSG's 8-0 thrashing of Dijon, I did realize that nobody in that team cares how many goals Neymar scores. Hardly any so called team spirit, but when Kane/Ali or Mane/Salah/Firmino get their goals entire team goes bersek to celebrate.
We have such a great team spirit, every time our strikers score you see the wing backs and defenders the first one to run up and hug them.
Since money has been talked about on this particular forum and other parts of the site, thought I'd post some figures related to LFC.

LIVERPOOL TRANSFERS (Net Spend last SIX years, British Pounds)

2013-14 ------------- 22.4m

2014-15 ------------- 38.4m

2016-17 ------------- (-)18.4m

2017-18 ------------- (-)20.5m

With how inflation has become in football, net spend isnt a thing to look at... id say a way to measure a clubs financial prowess is the wages that they can offer... Manchester clubs in this case are monsters in this case and can blow anyone out of the water... they are probably the only teo clubs in the league who can have all players on £150k + and not be affected... Commercially Man United are waaaaaay ahead of the game as well

Chelsea are in a weird spot atm, they got a very expensive stafium to build, so its gonna be interesting how they finance that, and balance how they wanna extend players

Spurs are gonna suffer like we did, unless they start winning trophies, their best players will all go the way Walker did

Arsenal (rinse and repeat every year)
+3
Yea that is really low Dan for a club like liverpool who want to be great again. Kinda the reason why us and arsenal slacks a lot of the time.
we need to make this net higher if we are ever going to compete. Just like ATM us fan would love another CB and better Gk and if the net was risen we would be in the market for both.
+1
He chose 450,000/wk over a guaranteed PL medal, wise choice :D
+8
Simply another money monger. Who needs trophies when you can become Scrooge McDuck in couple of years.
lmao utd fans saying they’ll be a “world class” team when Sanchez arrives. Try being the best team in Manchester first ya jammy simpletons.
+7
Thought they were world class when they signed Pogba. Has the Pogba hype died? Time for Sanchez hype?
+4
I just die when they think a transfer can actually be free xDDD
+4
We all know what happened when RVP went to UTD
+3
If Sanchez wanted trophies he should have joined you guys. On current form and just how you play, you guys look like you could win something big before United do. Although Sanchez would probably have to sit on the bench and settle for rotation. I'd settle for that and playing under Klopp than playing Mou style of football.
+3
Would have agreed with you if we had one amazing DM or CB, Virgil is too new to really say hes consistent for us.

Counting on Kieta and Virgil to beef us up from the back.
+1
Yeah it's true that defensive issues need sorting out first, same with us, once that's done should be an even greater force in the PL and UCL.
So i've been very worried about us bringing in keita and potentially mahrez, putting us with 3 (or 4 if mahrez were to join) AFCON stars, just learned (maybe a little late) that AFCON has been moved to the summer 2019?? this is huge!
+2
Klopp said it's unlikely anyone else is coming in.
I just hope now we get some luck and don't get any bad injuries.
+2
Seems more & more likely that VVD was the only incoming transfer this summer. Fingers crossed though.
+2
Yea it's looking that way mate because if we got VVD last summer I don't think we were going to spend this January.
PC sale made VVD happen because we gave them an offer they couldn't refuse just don't understand why we can't give another big offer for Obak or some similar class Gk.

In always we really should be getting a GK and PC replacement because after all it is klopp 3th season and another empty cabinet season would be bad.
+1
It's practically impossible to sign players especially those in demand during January.

Most players won't move due to it being a world cup year too.
+3
This comes back to Coutinho sale then. Why would you sell without a replacement?

Complete shortsightedness on clubs behalf.
+2
Redwave

Very true mate. Few injuries to important players and we are up s**t Creek! Great win against city sets a benchmark that I don't think we can keep up. It was only 3 points though losing a player like PC will hurt over the course of a season.

We needed improvement without selling PC and it be different if we had spent our money but there is a big pot of it left and there are players out there that can be got to help us to centment Top 4 and CL and FA Cup.
+1
A few injuries to important players for any team will derail them. The rest of the season will be tough but I think the current squad can maintain the course and be fighting for 2nd. Keita will be arriving in the summer to strengthen the midfield. Hopefully we can get a couple more players as well then.
+1
Them other top teams has better quality squad than us and know how to stop goals if they lose their attackers. When we lose quality players we sink like the Titanic because we fully depend on our attack to make up for defense. Salah/Mane gets long injury we are in trouble and it only needs to be few points dropped to fall down this league.
+1
At the end of the day if you let 1 player go, you bring 1 in in-the same window.

Atleast do something. Put a bid in. If the other clubs don't want to sell then that's a different problem.
+1
Yes, Show some sort of intent.
We lost PC and on the verge of losing Emre another vital part to our great run.

Then I think hendo back in! Oh god....
+1
@redwave we got Ox and Virgil.

Not sure why people are hating, I would be happy with Lemar but unless we get robbed of all the cash from PC, it ain't happening.

Unless of course you just wanted a Marquee signing in a similar mold to PC, maybe in the summer for that!
+1
Klopp essentially made the decision to sell, I guess he just won't hold it againts a player that wants to leave. But it all honestly, coutinho is not a Klopp type player. And we have more energy off the ball without him in the team. He would have left in the summer so f**k it, I don't think we was going to win the champions league with him and also think we have enough to finish 4th or above. I would though like us to go for another winter, just to ensure that we keep the pace in the team. At the moment we are light in that position
+2
As much as I love PC, he wasn't going to be the difference in anything this season imo.
+1
If Can signs a new deal, that would be enough for this window. Lemar or Pulisic and a GK for the next transfer window.
+1
Need to show some positive intent, completely agreed on that. Couts money was used to fund the VVD deal which I’m happy about. January isn’t the best time to be bringing players in but like Redeave said that could be shortsightedness from the club if we aren’t able to bring someone in. Good to be happy about this City win but still plenty of games left for this squad.
This summer? I thought it's winter ain't it.. :P
+2
The best part is when you read comments on the "other forum" about sanchez deal like...

Great bargain...

Practically free ....HAHAHAHA
+10
It's basically as if Alexis is paying them to join their team.
+3
They got a amazing player while we lost 1 so I wouldn't be getting ahead of ourselves.
+3
We got VVD...
+8
£500.000 Weekly! Wtf is going on
+5
Why are we looking at LB? Merno and Robertson is good enough and both having good seasons. We should be looking at CB and GK
