My hopes for the upcoming transfer window:

Wanyama would be a great buy, but I prefer Lucas in our midfield. I just don't feel safe without him there.
Just heard some news, not completely sure but Rodgers might offload Downing as well, even though he has become one of our renaissance men. If we do lose Downing and instead of Tello, I hope we can land someone like Kevin De Bruyne, the young Belgium International winger who is also a Kopite with a great winning mentality. Need I say more? :>
Oh and the main reason I suggested this is that Chelsea might be looking to buy Schurrle who plays in his position. Similar to Sturridge's position we would be able to provide him with playing time to substantiate his development.

Begovic is probably the player I am most looking forward to, I don't mind that his distribution is not the best, just needs to pass the ball 10m lol. He will no doubt be a good signing if we get him.

His job is to stop balls from crossing the line, goal kicks, and rolling the ball to any of our players feet. Whether it would be 10m or 100m, just make sure to get it to their bloody feet.

I'm happy with those two signings. Although, I have my doubts on Toure, but it helps that he will be coming in on a free transfer.
If Reina stays, Great! If he leaves and Begovic comes in, great too! Win-Win!
Although, it will be very heart breaking to see Reina leaving. But I'm happy it will be to Barcelona.

I would hate to lose Reina so quickly after Carragher leaving, we NEED that leader/dominating presence in the Defense!
As far as I can tell, Carragher kept that defense in check and got Enrique and Johnson to do their jobs so much better.
It's scary thinking of so many defensive changes all at the same time. Reina is a leader and I think we need to keep him for another season or two, even if we buy Begovic. Begovic is only 25, he can learn from Reina and gain experience.

I think Reina and Caragher leaving in the same year will urge others to fight for that same control of and respect from the rest of the defence, and the fans !

For £5m it'd be a steal imo, 11 goals and 6 assists in a team that has scored 34 goals this season isn't half bad. And he has that same will to win as Suarez, always gives 100% on the pitch (sometimes a bit hotheaded, got banned for 4 games after he headbutted a Deportivo player few months ago).
