What a fantastic goal from Barca.
why does everyone want Klopp so much? He isnt a proven manager! He managed mainz where he didnt really have much succes and then when he took over of borussia where the players had already started growing together so they had succes for a few years but look at them now! Are you not afraid that he would be a big fail at liverpool? I would say we need to stick with rodgers for atleast 1 more year, he learns from his mistakes and this young team will only get better by time. I feel we will have a lot of succes with rodgers in the future. but if for some reason rodgers does get sacked then i would take benitez over klopp any day
Memphis Depay what are your thoughts? This is the kind of player LFC should be getting IMO. Looks like United are hot on his tale though.

Oh yeah Depay is great. He has a terrific right foot and can hit thundering free-kicks and shots from distance. He has played a starring role in PSV’s surge to the Eredivisie title this season and is the top scorer in the league with 20 goals to his name.

And De Boer told talkSPORT: “He [Depay] is one of the biggest talents in Europe. He has skill compared to a young Cristiano Ronaldo.
“He is very lively, technically unbelievable, very skilful, very fast, he has a great goalscoring record, he can shoot from every distance – he has everything.
“For me, he is without doubt one of the best talents we have [in the Netherlands].”

He will only go to a big club next year imo. Naturally.
Utd bound. He is not going come here. Should have went for him last season when there was no competition

Finally some good news:

Also that Hendo is gonna sign a new contract, and we're in for Depay(Though we may not get him like usual lol) :D
+2
We need to keep our best players. I'm sure we will be getting some offers for the better players we have.
+2
A liver bird upon our chests,
Not so long ago, we were among Europe's best.
We travelled all over the continent,
Always confident, NEVER,,,, arrogant.

We're not just a club, more a community,
We had players with craft, plenty of ability.
We won number 5 in Istanbul,
Life was so vibrant, so happy, so full.

Then came along time for change,
We were sold out to Yanks, no reason to think it strange.
Suddenly, we're burden with debt,
All 'thanks' to Hicks and Gillette.

Players demoralized, Our Manager sacked,
But somehow, financially, they remained backed.
Not interested in football, only the money.
As yanks go, we'd better off with Bugs Bunny!!!!

But now out of the dark and into the light,
fans came together to get us out of this plight.
Let's do it together, for each other, for SHANKS,
Get the message across - THANK'S BUT NO YANKS!!!!

Here we go again, PART II.

Wake the f**k up FSG
+3
More like wake up FANS! I been saying this for 2 years!

I am glad that the truth is starting to surface and some will realize that i just don't rant for nothing........
+3
I think most fans have been aware of the TC that's in place. We need a DOF or something. Clearly the signings the last 3 years have been quite poor.

I firmly believe that on the 25th of May. 2015, we should all descend on the Ataturk stadium in Istanbul. There, on the 10th anniversary of the best Champions League final of all time, Brendan Rodgers should be sacrificed to the footballing Gods and Rafa shall be reborn as our leader.
Klopp as his assistant.
+6
Bodgers as blood sacrifice should appease the football gods well he he...
+4
What an odd thing to say. Klopp is miles better than Rafa.
+1
How is he miles better?
+6
Whats odd for me, Klopp is miles better than Rafa. really dude, that's insane!
+2
lmao brilliant
+3
Compare Rafa's longest tenure at club level with Klopp's and voila. Klopp's team sustained its legacy at the very top for 4 years. After Valencia (more than 10 years ago), all Rafa's teams never managed to become a force to be reckon with. The highest league position he achieved is 2nd, followed by a slump to 7th in the following year. Rafa can be considered a cup specialist but the marking of a true great coach / team has always been national leagues.
Burned lol
+3
But then who am I supporting lol go get Rafa you lots are absolutely spot on ^^ He is your man.
I think it would take us a couple of steps backwards by sacking BR. We need to stick with him and he is the right man for the job.

I think the players have underperformed and the absence of Lallana and Studge off late has been a major part of why we have seen another dip in our form.

We had the best period of the season when we played Sterling, Coutinho and Lallana up top. Then Lallana got injured and even though Studge was back he hasnt looked like his former self he lacks match fitness by a mile.

Then Stevie G hasn't been at his best or anywhere near it as well.

Due to all of this BR has had to play around with his formation a lot and that has made the whole squad lost, nobody knows where to be, it was so evident against Villa.

I think the solution would be stick with the manager, do some decent business in the summer and I mean proven quality maybe not from the top drawer if we miss CL (which looks likely) but at least from the second best tier of players we should do our shopping. A striker, playmaker, goalkeeper and a proper center back would be the priority.
+3
If nobody knows where to be after 3 seasons at Liverpool , with most of his signings failing , and if 2 injuries can ruin our whole season, I don't know how you can say BR is the right man for the job.

We had the best period of wins when we played bad teams or out of form teams , Man City , when we really badly need to win a game , we loose , United , Arsenal , Villa , last year Chelsea , Palace .. it shows BR is a good manager , but not the man who could take us to the next level.
+3
At least we all agree that we need to buy experienced, proper players this summer. If Brendan will not be sacked, I really hope he understands that.
+1
What if we miraculously got 4th ? would everyone still want Rodgers gone ?

I would still want him to be sacked , because one more transfer window he will bring 6 more players with 'character' worth 20m each aged between 20 and 21 ! That's just wasting our transfer money again !

PS: I want us to finish 5th and want him gone.
+3
.... and that brings us right back to the ole transfer committee.

hear that? That's the sound of a dead horse being beaten.

(This is more a general response to the forum, not really this particular comment)
+2
Yes , the transfer committee needs to be scrapped as well, but i only see that happening when a manager with a good track record like de boer or klopp comes in and shows his authority and the owners trust him.
+3
I still believe we can make it to 4th. City is just as lost as we are atm. I really don't understand why everyone has lost the fighting spirit.
^ Dude..that's a pipe dream. We can't beat Villa who are 4 points from relegation. With BR playing Sterling as LB and Coutinho up front as our main striker - Bodgers has lost his marbles. When can we bloodlett him to the football gods?
+2
If you guys somehow make 4th, BR would have fulfilled his mission, FSG would have no excuse to sack him.

(And in any case they are not going to pay 3 years compensation imo.)
^ They might as well. They've been throwing money away in the transfer market for the past few years, what's a few more million?
