Origi picked up a small knock on his foot and is a doubt for the Swansea game. Doesn't seem to be ahead of Studge or Firmino anyways but he's had some nagging injury problems.

Liverpool fans split over John Henry's Anfield comments

http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/liverpool-fans-split-over-john-11954658

Not going to give my full opinion though what a way to kill the mood John!

We are not any poorer than Leicester.. and Leicester fans are getting free beers.. I don't really understand the situation now.

Tv money, good.
Larger stadium, good.
Team moving upwards, good.
Why not expand further, unless they are going to get us Messi..
+2
henry lets the cat outta the bag no wonder they are looking for more investment from abroad.
+1
Yea very true guys....John kinda pulled a Sakho tbh.
Kloop has got us here with making them 10M+ net spend Transfer profit. We won't be expanding in the morning so he should of keeping his mouth shut. Every time they do something good then they just spit all over it and why i don't trust them!

Blaming us the fans now for something they could solve with Naming rights/Sponsors etc... Ain't that much for a stand TBH!

He couldn't help himself to bring down our Day... MR Cowboy 1

There is a FIVE YEAR waiting list for season tickets. Obviously expanding further makes sense. We could have a 80,000 capacity filled every week.

Hope we can get some big investments in the near future!

Dan

We could have that now or near it with all the money put by last few years. If John is gonna cry for more money then so should the fans. Where the hell is all the money going because Transfers are almost paying for themselves and The wage bill has been took down for years now. Really bad timing on John's behave. Nobody was taking about this s**t and mood was good.

''Tv money, good.

The mood has been so different and all us fans were feeling great and not needing to talk about this s**t. First time under them that i felt yes everything is moving nicely and proud of everything happening.

John shut up please until we are within a year or so of even expanding.

+2
you are only going to sell more tickets every game, and more tickets will mean more overpriced food and drinks bought and also more overpriced products bought at the anfield stores. really it almost pays itself. so your reason for saying that expansion is halted due to ticket prices is unacceptable. what henry is doing right now is testing the waters. he learned what happened the last time he tried to increase the prices. now he will see how the public will react if he provides the reason first and then increase the price. if public reaction isnt too bad he will probably start pushing for the higher ticket prices.
+2
If we were signing big money players he might have a case.
Small net spend and even smaller under klopp and he wants more money.
Where is all the Revenue going because it ain't on buying players

Someone is starting to show his true color and bait for something Worse!

From the 2018-19 season, entry into the Champions League group stage is easier for English clubs with the Premier League's fourth-place team no longer having to go through a playoff.

The "market pool" system, which steers UEFA prize money to clubs in England, Germany, and Italy, where the broadcasting deals are bigger, will be changed to reward better historical results in the competition. That should help Liverpool as a five-time European champion but see income drop for Manchester City, which has never won the continent's top prize.

The Champions League changes were agreed by a small number of club officials and UEFA, with the rest of Europe not knowing the outcome until the announcement in August.

Henry said he was aware of other teams in England "obviously not happy with the UEFA deal."

"The changes weren't really discussed with us, they were implemented essentially. They unilaterally made changes to the market pool and there should have been I think more discussion. But I can tell you that the (Premier League) owners were not happy ... at least among the clubs that I speak with."
..........................................................................

What you think guys?
reward historical results, what a nonsense. Really not a good move, why should clubs as Leicester get less because they are new to CL? Just elite clubs agreeing changes that favor themselves.

It's like politicians getting through laws that favor their friends in business area and getting some in return. Makes me sick.

I think this is bullshit lmao
i dont really understand this, so they are unhappy with the money being based on historical tv viewership or success? but it sounds like 4th place no longer have to do qualifiers, which is nice.

@SIF - this is exactly what I was talking about on my wall (last post) between you and me. Very controversial. Definitely going to see legal action taken against this decision. Makes zero sense.

Swansea TV Training:
Looks like Swansea are going to press us hard, so we need to be ready for a real physical challenge.
Bet they were watching MNF lol. Hopefully the master of Press also
has the remedy for getting around it. Then he has set the Trap.
So u-23 side played against Wolfsburg and lost to a extra time header from a corner. Tiago Ilori was at fault for both goals imo. His positioning and determination looked to be at an all time low.

On the plus side, Woodburn served the second goal after beating his man and making a pass beating 3 wolfsburg defenders for brooks lennon, who finished it calmly.

Also, Sakho played this game. He had a free header from a corner that was a few inches off. Covered Ilori's mistakes but wasn't enough.

Rafa's Newcastle came back from 3-1 down in 70th minute to win 4-3. Damn, I miss those Rafa comebacks😁

One of the rare times when Carra will be the second fiddle. The way he listens to Klopp just shows how much he respects Klopp as a tactician.
+2
I love Klopp, but I see him more as a man manager.. like Ancelotti.

If we are talking about tactic, I'd love to hear from Pep, Mou or Rafa.. These people seems to know a thing or two about strategy.

What Klopp has that these men don't really possess, is a genuine enthusiasm and the authenticism that attract people to his believe.
+2
I kinda disagree because what Pep, Mou or Rafa possess is a lot of Cash :)
Maybe i'll Leave out Rafa :P

I think Klopp is a football coaching beast with no park bus/ million worthless passes attitude. Guy knows the purpose of football is to enjoy it as a player and make it fun for the spectators as well.
