some of these ManUtd "fans" need to learn to shut the fcuk up ... inbreds
The worse thing about it was we all knew this was going to happen when we lose Danny.
Since Houllier, our transfer policy has been buy lots of unproven players that have shown good potential, usually from mediocre teams (and leagues), for moderate fees (but not cheap) and hope they will turn out good. We have just had stingy owners who don't like to pay high transfer fees, and most of all - high salaries. Out of all these players we hit the jackpot twice in this period - Torres and Suarez. It's time we realized this is not really the successful strategy. This year we again followed this scheme, and it's clear that it will take us nowhere. And the worst is, this year we did have the power to buy proven players for lots of money. I don't think we ever had more buying power since the 90's, and it looks like we blew it.

So I kept an eye on the other game in the group. We are definitely the worst team out of the four. I think we may easily finish last in the group. Hopefully we are not the worst team in the PL as well, although there is strong evidence in favor of that.
What happened to our high-pressing? Almost non existent in that game...
I think we were trying to play on counter which is a good tactic away from home unless you are barca or Bayern most teams can't pull off the high press away. you could see that we tried to press high after conceding. It's the personnel that were chosen or chosen to stay on the field that were the problem from my point of view.
Stevie G summed it up tonight - Not good enough!!!!!!!!
I want BR to get with his ex wife again. May be she was the brain behind his rise...You know how they say behind a successful man there's a woman!

His hot (newish) girlfriend doesn't seem to be doing his managerial career any favours!!

(Just about the lamest excuse I can find for his performance tonight)

on the upside, i thought mignolet was our best player. he didnt make any mistakes, some good saves too, would be hard to blame simone for the basel goal
His communication is still so bad. WHY IS IT SO FRUSTRATING ALL OF A SUDDEN?
There is something wrong in the players heads or in the way Rodgers makes them play. There is no sign of the high intensity pressing attacking game we played last season. We were total and utter s**t.

Sterling and Balo should be benched this weekend due to their performances and to rest them. But the problem is whom to play upfront then...

Play Borini for all i care. At least he gives his 100 % every time he plays unlike Balotelli.

Two of the biggest issues at hand tonight :
1. Balotelli
2. Rodgers

Rodgers has played sterling in almost every game after claiming he won't exert him at such a young age. Borini and Suso are clearly not part of rodger's agenda, which annoys me considering just one season ago he was in love with Borini and Suso was amazing on his loan.

Last season he adapted because of the injuries and played a 352,451,433,442.
This season he has simply stuck with the 4231 because he probably doesn't trust the very players he chose to bring in.

I have stopped watching his pressers as he just bullshits about team comradre and says it will take time. Of course we will give him time, but show some improvement goddamnit.
