I hope Suso will play for Liverpool next season alongside Gerrard and Lucas. His vision, attitude & range of passing is incredible. He reminds me of iniesta in term of dribbling and control. He rarely losing the ball.LOL

oh yeah, thats evra's heart
+2
15m can be better spent on Diame, Ben Arfa, or Eriksen

Honestly, I would want Diame + 15m for Carroll.

i don't understand people obsession with diame on our forum. Sure i think he is a good player but surely if he was that amazing someone would have put a huge bid for him right????

Diame is a good option. But i'd rather have someone who is proven at the top level to replace or sub for lucas.
+1
Just because someone hasn't put in a huge bid for him doesn't mean he's not a good player. Have you seen any matches this season when he plays at West Ham? The man is built like a M1 tank and is tough to stop once he gets a head of steam. He's scored some great goals this season and would give our midfield some physical presence which we lack at the moment. Not saying he should be our top priority but I think if we could get him for a reasonable price then lets go for it. Also he's played in the PL so there wouldn't be that 'transition' coming to the UK.
+2
@ Pewpew "surely if he was that amazing someone would have put a huge bid for him right????"

Michu. Coutinho. Any other bargain buy.

He's basically the 2nd coming of Yaya Toure.

Yaya 2-re
+3
I am willing to put money down that we wont even make a bid for Diame.
agree with what dan and bp said, also somebody who is proven at the top level isn't going to sit on the bench when we don't even have CL (that is if we are planning to get a back up rather than a replacement).
Not Football related, but thought you guys will enjoy it.

who is better overall The key master Coutinho vs Oscar? I'm sure coutinho has a potential.
Oscar! Obviously!
He plays for CHELSEA! the EL and UCL champs!
He also cost 10x more than Coutinho and we all know that the cost of the player determines who's better.

Also, we can't hurt the Chelsea plastics' egos.

+2
im gonna go with coutinho i beleive he can be the bigger force in the epl with time. so his talent and future i believe making him the better player.
+2
le "key" monster
+1
I like Coutinho's play better...both are very good
+1
On a more serious note:

OSCAR
64 appearances, 12 goals, 12 assists.

COUTINHO
13 appearances, 3 goals, 7 assists.

And in those 13 appearances, Coutinho played more than half in an unorthodox position as a winger.

Lampards' comments seem to perfectly illustrate how poisonous the atmosphere is at Chelsea - too mean spirited to even offer a simple compliment to his manager. Happy to take the big $, but too cheap to respect his manager in public.

even our steve lad said all nice things about uncle woy and told the media how difficult the situation was for him.

Now before some Chelsea fans stalking our page react to my comment, here are a couple of points I'd like to point out.

#1 This is LIVERPOOL FC's page, everyone is welcome to visit and post. If you don't like what you see no one is forcing you to visit the Liverpool page so I suggest you waddle back to your own page and save the argument.
#2 Everyone is entitled to their own opinion
#3 Google the word "Banter"

Lampard's a dick, just like Mourinho.

They can both go be dickwads together.
+3
Wow.. just lost a lot of respect for Lampard. Poor Rafa is right... he could of won Lampard over if he bought him some meat pies and pastries
+1
lets be honest he isn't going to have a go at the fans is he? especially when rafa isn't there anymore.

that being said, he could have been better with his words especially considering rafa started to play him more regularly. at least that is my understanding, don't want chelsea fans jumping up and down if i am wrong on that.

it could be all made up though considering the original quotes are form the sun.
Pepe is, in my opinion, the most talented goalkeeper in Europe in terms of what he can do with the ball and how he can land it on your boot even if you're sixty metres away from him. However, I'm fairly convinced that he will go to Barcelona as reportedly all parties wouldn't have problem with that happening.

When it comes to his replacement, at first I wanted someone like Mignolet, who is a carbon copy of Pepe in a lot of aspects, but I was thinking and after watching our defenders failing to deal with set-pieces and Pepe flapping at crosses, I thought that we needed a change in that aspect, that we should buy a 'keeper who is strong and tall, who has long hands and excellent reflexes.

Now, Begović falls well into that category. I've watched him while he was still at Portsmouth and I remember commenting on him with my friend - he really looked impressive back then for a young 'keeper who wasn't a product of some famous academy or playing for ultra-strong national team. When Stoke got him, I knew that it would be a great move for them. I knew that he would become a good goalie but I honestly didn't think that he would become this good.

Another positive aspect of him is his personality. He's said to be a great guy, funny, witty, outgoing, great teammate, loyal. He grew up in Canada but wanted to represent the country of his origin. He could be much more vocal on the pitch, though (even though Stoke's defense rarely looked disorganized), but there is plenty of time for him to improve on certain aspects of his game where I feel he lags behind Pepe.

So, if you ask me, Begović has potential to turn into a world class goalkeeper. To summarise, this is a goalkeeper who is vastly superior to Reina in terms of aerial and box domination, handling, body frame (which allows him to be better in one-on-one situations that probably every PL goalkeeper) and inferior in terms of passing the ball, throwing and kicking. He is also five years younger.

You can choose which type of goalkeeper you like - I prefer the one that prevents the ball from crossing the goal line. In these terms, Begović is probably the best goalkeeper in Premier League. If we were buying in PL, I'd buy him even over Mignolet - I rate him that highly. Not saying I want to push Reina away from the club because he's been a fantastic servant since he's come to Anfield. But with Valdes leaving Barcelona + Pulis leaving Stoke + Asmir stating before he's flattered by interest from Liverpool a few months ago I could see this transfer panning out IMO.
+2
Good post, Begovic is a really commanding character and probably the best shotstopper in Prem (I haven't followed him that much, since I detest Stoke and only watch them when I absolutely have to, but I like what I've seen...without him Stoke would've been relegated). Only thing he's worse at (as you said) than Pepe is distribution and passing the ball, but he's 26 (very young for a keeper) and can improve on it. I'd only let Pepe leave if Tello is part of the deal though, otherwise Barca can look elsewhere for a goalie. I do believe Pepe is still their 1st choice, because he's a world class shotstopper, great with his feet (pretty important for Barcelona, considering their style of football) and most importantly- he's a La Masia product and knows the club inside out.
+1
Yeah I agree a Reina swap for Tello should be the only way we let go of Pepe
+1
Tello would add to our strike force..I'd replace Reina with Begovic or Akinfeev
Pepe for Tello? You've got to be kidding me!
Keep dreaming, and keep Pepe.

He still has his weaknesses with set pieces and air balls; something Barca really needs to reinforce. Pepe is a great keeper but he is not exactly what we need.
Dreaming? He's 10x the player Valdes is
we want to keep pepe! the vast majority of us would keep him.
'ave a look

There is progress. we have to convert draws in wins and lost matches into drams or even wins. Next season, it is going to be huge for LFC and BR. Top 4 should be our priority.
+1
Especially with no European games we have to give it all for that CL spot.

Wayne Rooney to leave Man U this summer?

Can't see Shrek playing for a team managed by Gollum, he did sue the fat granny shagger back in the day after all :P
+2
"The book, entitled My Story So Far, accuses Everton manager Moyes of being overbearing, controlling and ultimately responsible for Rooney's £27 million transfer to United in 2004."

"Moyes is reportedly claiming more than £300,000 in libel damages from his former player."

lmao what a bunch of muppets. Great choice for Utd choosing Gollum to take charge.

Some Manure fans have enough cheek to start slating him off and calling him a "dirty scouser" What's that chant again Man U fans came up for Wayne? I think it goes something like this:

I saw my mate the other day,
He said to me he saw the white Pele,
So I asked, who is he?
He goes by the name of Wayne Rooney,
Wayne Rooney, Wayne Rooney

What a group of hypocrites

Looking forward to watching the CL Final.
Players like Lahm and Schweinsteiger have been so close to winning major tournaments at club and international level. The German's always have showed up and played well when it comes to tournament play. These type of players deserve it and it would be devastating for them if they lost it again after coming so close. I think they will win this one though.
+1
Yes agreed. I won't be too disappointed if BVB win, but I am hoping Bayern win. I feel like they deserve it more. They lost 2 finals in which they were the better team by far.
+4
Even if I didn't support BvB I'd want them to win, they have nowhere near the resources that Bayern has and they have still managed to win Bundesliga titles and get to CL final (also, I'm still a little mad at Götze leaving for Bayern as well as Javi Martinez from Athletic;). Plus I like rooting for the underdog.
