Fekir might do really well at pool if he joins. Great work ethic, pressing and the signature 'smash and grab' that defines the pool style at the moment.
He would have been fantastic but I can't see us going for him anymore. He was practically signed. Medical, interview and all the pr stuff was done... but turned out lyon was lying about his knee being fully healed after his previous acl injury. This was the deciding factor, liverpool knew that a repeat injury is very likely especially with how we play. He would have had to undergo surgery as soon as signing, so it could recover properly and this would mean a season out without him.

It would have simply been stupid to chuck 50mill at a player who won't play this season and would be a even bigger doubt for the next couple of seasons. We tried to negotiate the price but lyon did not budge.

I have a theory, we will switch our focus to Pulisic, his contract will run down and he is getting all that experience Right now that a move to Liverpool would be so perfect. He loves Klopp, he is americas poster boy so I'm sure fsg are also desperate to get him to boost revenue in the states. I can't see him going anywhere else or even signing a new contract at Dortmund
The Ronaldo red card has to be the shittest sending off I have ever seen in my life, so touching another players head is assault now?
City lost at home hmm
Positive Nancy:
1) We were put to a rigorous test and still slogged our way to victory. Anfield is undoubtedly a fortress again.
2) To make it that much sweeter, I'm in Turkey, and was surrounded by a pub full of scoffing Man United fans at the final hurdle! They were all cool tbf, but gosh darn the winner tasted scrumptious after them celebrating the PSG equalizer. I fell off my chair when our little circle erupted - worth every bruise :)

Negative Nancy:
1) Mo Salah will struggle to top 20 goals this season being marked out the game so heavily. But it's not a full negative, because it opens up space for others to score.
2) TAA -- the local lad, I'll still defend to the grave -- is having a shocker of a season. Pains my heart to say it but he needs a brief stint on the bench, to his benefit in the long-run :(
So lil Shaq and Danny boy to start against Soton? Rest the front three a bit? Maybe try out Fabinho and Keyta?
+3
I’d like to see 2-3 changes in the team. Millie, Salah, Gini need a rest imo.
+1
Yeaa, id rest Salah at least he seems knackered. play Firmino, Mane and the Shaq maybe? our midfield needs a rest also so either of Gini or Milner needs to be rested cause they've been working their socks off.

that being said it is the prem so you can't really underestimate any opponent. i trust Kloppo to find the right balance.
So...

Firmino or Depay....
+7
the age old question surfaces again........
+1
It’s tough.. can’t decide though
+1
Mmmmmm its a tight one.
+1
Firmino is a pirate now. Memphis was invisible at United and therefore more ninja-like.

Pirates vs. ninjas... Who wins?

Liverpool 3 PSG 2 | Post Match Pint

That was the greatest & Funniest intro to a post-match pint

We worked very hard yesterday. Credit to moe and mane covering for the wingbacks tracking back. Credit to Sturridge should've had at least two. Credit to Hendo and Millner who put it in 10/10 performance against the likes of neymar and mbappe. It's very easy to get carried away but one game at a time is the mentality.

Negatives: we still are not the best at closing games out. Up 2-0 or 2-1 as liverpool we know we need a third. I guess its not klopps style of sitting back and you expect the Tottenhams and PSGs of the worlds to come back hard at you. I want to be proven wrong and smaller oppositions will show that.

Lastly out depth of the squad will get us further this year. Help us compete twice a week, I think Moe should rest up next game and start Shaquiri. Fabinho for the likes of Milner or Gigi against Southampton.

+5
Well for me the first goal was very fortunate from their point of view, we did nothing wrong they were lucky to get it. Second yes we could have closed the space quicker. But against an opposition of that caliber they were going to get some chances..so I don't see much room for criticism here..
+2
impossible to hold of PSG for a full 90mins. Not even Bayern or Juventus can probably do that. Using those two because I think they have the best defence in Europe.

Napoli drew today too! massive day for us! YNWA!!

also, the bobby celebration was second only to seeing that wonderful stuzza dance!!!

If only this could be his permanent look, it suits his character as a fighter up front.

Arrgghh Pirate Bobby coming to sink ships, like PSG's.
