Meanwhile, former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher says Uruguay striker Luis Suarez, 27, who will leave Anfield to join Barcelona this summer, "bullied" Sturridge last season.

The requirement to for an attacker in BR team is Pace, for defense, Rogers is apparently looking out for Tattoos! Haha he wanna form the meanest and badass defense next season :)

One more thing. I hope for your sake you guys sign a top striker or you might become extremely frustrated with Sturridge and Coutinho's finishing this season.

For some reason Suarez and Sturridge worked but as good as Sturridge can be, he can also be very wasteful. He basically lost the FA Cup game against us with poor finishing.

Loving the Sterling, Lallana, Markovic combo though.
+2
For as blunt as it sounds! A lot of truth in it.
+1
i dunno man, now suarez is gone, we have last year's league top scorer (still), I think studge will be even more prolific this year considering he's not sharing that top spot with anyone. we do need someone[s] to pick up the slack of course, but i don't know that we need a striker that will outshine the [now] most prolific striker in the premier league.
+1
Umm, Sturridge has 31 goals in 43 league games for Liverpool which is a better ratio than what Suarez had. And yes, he was wasteful in the FA Cup tie but show me a striker that doesn't have off days (Suarez had his fair share). Oh and last season Studge was often played out wide so BR could make room for Suarez. Sturridge's 'wastefulness' isn't an issue, him staying fit for the entire season is.
+2
Ya I been saying we need someone who is on Sturridge's level or better. We need someone to challenge him and make him work his socks off.

@Goiko we mostly played with a 2 striker diamond or with Suarez out wide last season.

No Worries.
Sturridge will miss suarez. They worked well together
Sturridge is wasteful...yet he's still on almost a goal a game average for LFC. I'm not worried. Eventually it will cost LFC points here or there but his ability will win plenty more points.
Struidge can be wasteful and frustrating at times, we definitely need another top striker.
John Flannagan injured, to be assessed...f*****g hell..cancel the tour bring lads home..
whaaaaaaat? link? source? I'll kill you?
+1
Dan, i am already dead...my brother. :-/
I think they are over working! Stevie said it in a interview last night to not to judge the players because they are doing training twice a day and doing body and leg weights on top of it and that heat also..... Flan FFS
Full-back Jon Flanagan sat out the game against Olympiacos due to a minor knee injury and will be assessed ahead of the City game.
