Breaking News- Arsene to resign at the end of the PL Campaign
End of an era really. He has been one of my favorite coaches, it is amazing what he has given to the game of football.
it's all over twitter that salah's won player of the year!
+5
Deserved
+6
Apart from Harry Claim, claiming the title.
+7
Absolutely deserved
+4
Poor ol’e ‘Arry
+2
FA will overturn it and give to Harry eventually
+3
He should win it, well deserved
+1
Even KDB admitted that he deserves to win
kits are sick...
+5
Best ones under New Balance.
+1
Not really a fan of the collars myself would prefer the plain neck but still nice! Looking forward to away kits, they always whack out some mad design ha
Ya I don't really like the collars on kits, other than that it looks good. I think the ones we have this season have been the best in a while, I like the retro look.
+1
Its actually not bad at all. I like it. NB have been doing you guys well with the kits they've produced.
+2
I actually really like these ones. Just the home kits were revealed though right? Wonder when the away and 3rd kits will be released
Love 'em
Shoutout to a couple players. Don't pretend you thought they would do this well.
TAA
Robertson
+2
I knew robertson would do well, TAA was a pleasnt accident
Yeah, the first reaction was ohh another 10 million left back. When the market was growing cray with 200 million transfer.
But the Scot has proven, he might be one if the best signings of recent past.

+2
Got to say I wasn’t expecting this from these two. I ate some humble pie
Me too - I admit I was one of Robbo's harshest critics - average player and all that nonsense. He has proved us wrong and we couldn't be more happy
Signings like Robertson, Mane, Salah than eventually VVD who instantly improved teams performances has made us believe in Klopp. TAA was icing on the cake, an academy youngster making it to top level. Just hope that the current squad + Naby remains fit for most part of next season. This squad might take us a step closer to the title.
You should add Karius to the list. I remember the fans in this forum already wanted to kick him out of the club. Meanwhile the guy has found his confidence and is showing solid performances.
My shopping list for summer:

Jorginho/ndidi
Cebelllos/lemar
Lenglet/alderield
Azmoun/werner

Bonus pick : Allison

Yeah we probs ain't going to get any of them.. Maybe jorginho but a man can dream.
☺️
+3
Azmoun would be epic in the PL. Kid is talented af
+2
Ceballos wasted a f*****g year witb Madrid. He's so talented and I can only imagine what Klopp csn do to him. Would hate to see another young Spanish talent going to waste so please take him lol
+3
Don't really know much about all of them lol. But we need a forward that can play anywhere in the front 3(better centrally though as a backup to Bobby), a new number 6, a Centre Back, and an attacking midfielder that can play in midfield or on the wings(Coutinho replacement)
Edit- Oh all the players you mentioned are for these positions only. Awesome!
+2
@Saumil LOL yeah exactly haha

+2
My team of the year:

Sane - Firmino - Salah
Ozil - Fernandinho - De Bruyne
Alonso - van Dijk - Vertonghen - Walker
De Gea

Subs: Ederson, Azpilicueta, John Stones, Kante, David Silva, James Milner(!), Aguero
who is asensio? do you mean alonso? also, harry kane is very upset by this
+2
Milner should be in there he has done a hella lot more then bug-eyes.
+2
Asensio is not a left back lol
+1
Oops brainfart. Yea I meant alonso lol
+4
Ozil?
+2
umm... Ozil? Seriously? Would love to hear the reasoning behind that selection :P
+4
I'm a huge fan of Ozil so there's definitely bias. But I'll make a case for Ozil anyway.

In my opinion, Ozil and David Silva are the true two quarterbacks in the EPL. They have the vision and on the ball movement to find space for their teammates running their lines. Why is this skill useful? It unlocks counterattacking teams with a strong defensive setup, like Mourinho's teams. An example of their creativity is David Silva's pass to Sane for the disallowed goal in the UCL 2nd leg. And I reckon Ozil could do the same. Why Ozil over Silva? I just think Ozil does it better, and doesn't get the recognition for it.

On a side note, I know we're doing really well now. On the counterattack we're unstoppable. But believe it or not, our attack can still be improved. I would love to see Liverpool get a truly creative midfielder so we can go to Old Trafford, or to any counterattacking team, and slice them open. Maybe get Xabi Alonso out of retirement.

Anyway the whole point of this is starting xi is just to say I find it incredible that Otamendi, and not van Dijk, is in the PFA team of the year. Upfront, there are plenty of options so selection is just down to taste.
I'm more then certain we can do alot better then getting xabi alonso out of retirement, we are getting kieta, he is going to be our new creative box to box midfielder who will essentially do all the creative work in the middle. I do agree this is a area we must improve in as current options are more engines then actual creative players.

What may suprise you is that kieta actually has some of the best packing stats in Europe this season, I read a article not too long ago showing his passing statistics and the amount of players he beats with a single pass. That's what Klopp is looking for, a player who can break the low block sides but still has a engine on him to do all the dirty work. Players like David silva, ozil etc won't survive in this team.. Maybe silva but deffo not ozil. Ozil dissappears in big games and is not one to track back. We play a more expansive style of football compared to arsenal, players are used to playing in more then one part of the pitch and you can see it evidently in the way we play now. Very rarely do we lose possession or do the wrong pass, it's about recycling possession even when under pressure and that means being comftoble in covering other positons on the pitch when needed so. For example you see milner /hendo covering our wing backs alot. I can't see ozil or silva doing that for us.

Edit: your in luck, I found the packing article

+1
No team of the year should exclude Silva.
+2
Realistically we would need a CDM so fernandinho in silva out

s**t game. Waste of time..put me to sleep again
come on bournmouth! finishing above sad act mouriho would be lovely
+4
For Burnley to beat Chelsea is what I hope for most. With that and us winning this weekend, top 4 is secured, which would allow us to throw everything into the CL. Bournmouth to beat the Mancs would be a nice addition of course.
+2
Did Harry Claim - claimed or scored?
+7
Signed in for the first time in ages today and realised ive been coming here 7 years and in that time havnt contributed once and considering all the talk of late of the site being dead i thought i would say hello and thanks to all who have contributed and continue to do so! I dont know what i would do with myself while taking a s**t in work without all ya'll so keep it up!

Few things about the team of late, would like to say how good it is to see mane back on form after struggling in the months after his injury, he just wasnt at full sharpness but that spring is back in his step and i feel he is soooo important to what we do! Bobby gets the most props for his harassing of defenders but the way mane covers the first few yards when pressing is so frightening for jittery backlines and creates so many chances for us. Also his tracking back is unreal, which is more the reason i feel why he was put on the right instead of salah against city to help trent with sane, as aposed to trying to get salah closer to goal.

Good to see the affect ox is having on the dressing room he seems to be getting alot of trust and belief from klopp which he is flourishing under and has become one of the leaders of the squad in under a season with us which is remarkable in itself. Alot of credit has to go to klopp for trusting the players and giving them time to prove themselves, such as karius, lovern(mainly down to vvd but still) and trent, who had a really tough time against rashford and zaha before the city games. I think giving the time to players such as mingolet and morreno shows the next players that come in that u will b given a good chance to prove yourself. (Something i think a certain Manchester manager could benifit from doing, il let you figure out which one!)

Loads of other great things to say about the team right now but they can wait for next discussion so to finish il just say 2 more words....

MO SALAH!!!!!!!

He is good enough for me.
Is he good enough for you.
If he scores another few, then I will be a Muslim too.
