Now that more TV money has come in, I expect these values to skyrocket in the coming years. Premier League clubs have spent over £700 million this season, thats roughly City's investment over the last 10-15 years net, I feel like its the beginning of a new era where every PL team has money to spend, demand for me has overshot supply and I feel its only going to be harder to get the players we want and need and its even more important now to develop your own talent rather than cut and paste players from other teams.

Injury news

Lallana - hip/thigh injury - 20sept
Hendo - ankle/foot - 12 sept
Allen - hamstring - 12 sept
Flano - knee - early to mid december
stuzza - hip/thigh pretty much the whole body - not sure we are not taking any chances.

Transfer news
Balotelli - loan to milan for a year. We are reportedly paying more than half his wages. Milan are not obligated to buy the striker after loan ends.
Markovic - loan to fernabache. Full season.
Enrique - no deals in place. He will remain on instagram for another season.
Borini - player wants to move to italy but italian clubs are mugging us atm. Sunderland still sniffing around.
Moreno - Club is listening to offers. If no deal materializes he will fight for his place.
Lucas - same as moreno.

Any incomings - Most likely not. There would have been some activity had we been able to move balotelli, borini to bring a decent player. Committee is still looking and will be monitoring deadline day for any availability of top player.

Imagine if we actually spent that 25M on someone good...... Terrible, terrible waste of a huge chuck of money.
+2
I assume you're referring to Lallana? ^ If so he's been injured a bit and it's worrying to see. This has to be his year, prove his worth.
16M in Balo, 20 In marko, 25 in Lallana. Thats 60M wasted
+1
Taking into account his age, experience, and skill level, there was absolutely no reason to spend that kind of money on him. We bent over backwards and spent basically the whole summer chasing him. Pretty embarrassing and shows the lack of footballing knowledge and foresight within our club.

I said it from the start that it was a big mistake. So many better footballers out there for that price tag. If we were competent last summer we would have definitely been in CL again this year.

Any updates on Hendo?

It feels good to be back in Europe!
Not really i couldnt give 2 shits about europa league tbh. I hope we send our reserves and focus on getting top 4 in the league.
but if you win it you get automatic CL qualification don't you?
+1
Yeah, we need to start performing in Europe, anyways. Our coefficient is worse than Tottenham! We have plenty of players to do well in Europa and only have one long flight. Easy group as well. I could manage LFC and get out of this group.
+3
Dan, i dont think so.. win UCL / top 4 only can get to UCL next season..

Win FA Cup/ Carling / and 5 place / win Europe League(if not qualify to UCL) get to EL next season
No, winning Europa gets you into CL the following year. New thing. I think they started it last year.
+4
And more than fifth gets you Europa league the next year, as well. Hence us finishing 6th and getting into Europa this year.
New rules state that if you win Europa you are entered in the CL at a minimum level of play-offs. Maximum of 5 teams from each national association.

If we win Europa we get champions league but It would be better to bank on top 4.
Yeah spain have 5 CL teams because sevilla won Europa last year.
And I'd rather win Europa than finish in 4th if I had to chose one, to be honest. We need to win something of note here soon. Ask Arsenal if you get a trophy for 4th. I don't think BR is smart enough to win any tournament of note, though.
+2
Looks like Dunga changed his mind. Coutinho called up for Brazil Squad. Happy for him !
good for him, bad for liverpool
+5
True
I can't believe br honestly. Ruined lfc careers for riena, agger and in some aspects Gerrards. He thinks he can freeze any player out when he wants and loan them out to increase their value to only sell them on. Can't get over it.. So pissed off even now
+2
one of the reasons some people think hes the man for the job.. hes not afraid to do things that will piss off fans, he has had a vision of what he wants and hes not afraid of doing what needs to be done. im all for choppin his head off but he has quality leadership well see how this season goes
+5
I don't agree with the loaning of Markovic, but if he truly is good enough for Liverpool then he should do very well in Turkey, and if he does do well in Turkey I don't see any reason why he wouldn't be welcomed back with open arms. But if he does well and is consequently sold then you will have reason to be pissed.
+1
I just don't see why he would be loaned out. We need as much talent as we can get to do well in europa.
+2
Do you guys know what the terms of the loan are?
Duration? Call-back ability?
No, we don't know.

If it's a season long loan with the ability to call him back at any time and no sell clause it's very smart. He'll get more game time in a competitive league and if we need him we can bring him back. He's too good and at too important of an age for him to be brought on as a sub or not at all.
dont we have to pay a fee if we call him back early?
As far as I know, each loan agreement is different. I don't really know though. Contracts confuse me.
+1
He ruined their careers? Agger's career was ruined with injury and malaise in returning from those injuries. Reina's was curtailed by all that Barca buzz that basically forced LFC into buying someone else to not have to deal with it anymore. Gerrard left on his own and was being used just fine before that.
+5
BR is an idiot, but blaming him for what happened to Reina, Agger, and Gerrard, is wide of the mark. Not sure how loaning Marko out to Turkey is a positive in any aspect, so I'll give you that one. I just read on Echo that Watford are bidding for him on a loan now. They hope to get it done before he signs in Turkey. Sergio, if he pushes Sakho out.......god help me. I'll have my pitch fork right waiting.
