Liverpool
July 13 Preston North End (Deepdale) 3pm - won 4-0
July 20 Indonesia XI (Gelora Bung Karno National Stadium, Jakarta) 2.30pm - won 2-0
July 24 Melbourne Victory (Melbourne Cricket Ground, Melbourne) 11am - won 2-0
July 28 Thailand (National Stadium, Bangkok) 12.45pm - won 3-0
August 3 Olympiacos (Anfield - Steven Gerrard testimonial) 2pm - won 2-0
August 7 Valerenga (Ullevall Stadium) 6pm - won 4-1
August 10 Celtic (Aviva Stadium, Dublin) 5pm - lost 1-0

We went on to score 102 goals and came 2nd.

This preseason is similar to the one from two years ago when we finish 8th.....

We really need to get a goalscorer!
this was a great match i'll never forget it and watching it live was even better :)

Liverpool should change its name to Liverhampton, because apparently that's the only club willing to sell its players to us. Just saying...
LVG has ordered his Man.Utd players speak English well,

That's Rooney F****** then.

LOLOLOOL
Guys are all those signings for the C1 ?

I personally think you should have signed less players. You will play the C1 next season and you need quality and experienced players for that. Not saying that those are not quality players but Lambert, Lallana or Lovren will be involved in the champions league for the first time.

I think Can and Markovic also hasn't much experience in the C1.
Dom last season we virtually played all our games with 13 players. Our bench consisted of kids and players who weren't good enough. I remember last december against chelsea we had injuries and our bench consisted of 3 - 4 under 21 team players. So yeah we desperately needed depth and in general a bigger squad.

Our transfer policy since the new owners took over has been to sign young players who are hungry and have potential. I think we did the right thing by getting players who have played in the bpl. Yes most of them dont have cl exp.

But neither does our manager. It will be a new challenge for our entire team. Looking forward to it.

At least the bench is stronger than before
+1
well our bench was filled up by three names : kolo toure, Moses and Cissokho almost always.

2 of them were loanees so we had to fill that bit as well.
+1
our bench was a horrific..towards the end of the season Brendan must have been contemplating with names like Fowler,Rush..i bet he even scouted few toddlers from streets of liverpool !! horror pure horror last season..

Funny description by daily mail... When the saints go marching out...

The vultures who have been circling Southampton finally descended this summer and tore great chunks out of the club.
Liverpool have had the biggest feed, devouring their heart, Adam Lallana, and the guts, Rickie Lambert. On Sunday, they went for the spine with Dejan Lovren completing his £20million move to Anfield.
Manchester United ripped out the most tender part of all in young full back Luke Shaw. Tottenham took off with the brain; their manager Mauricio Pochettino.

And the signing of Chambers and potentially schnelderlin will see Arsenal once again getting their favorite piece, the cheeks that kept them all in place.. THE ARSE!!!

Loic Remy has failed 4 medicals since 2002. The player has a medical condition involving a hole in his heart.

Now that's really sad for him, I hate Everton as we are rivals of course, but it was good seeing roberto martinez build a team and play some beautiful football. Hope they sign him , and he scores a lot of goals. His career is at stake here, really talented player.

There are rare cases when players fail their medical.. And this guys fail continuously.. Glad Rodgers didn't gamble on him somehow.
and yet everywhere he has played he has scored goals and been reasonably successful.

I can understand why clubs are reluctant to gamble but we've seen first hand that he is fit and can score goals in the PL...
I dun think hole in the heart is a big issue... My friend as that but runs marathon really well...
Imagine if we had kept carroll. I am sure the club weigh the pro and cons and made the right decision. I trust Dr. Zaf
I also think the same, although we have seen him play..but let us not risk for medical reasons..the what if's are horrific and no one wants that..for the good of player as well as club. cant fault player..cant fault the doctor either..go for Firmino or Alexandre Lacazette..as stuzza is no enough to cope with full season demands. We need a top striker...to shoulder the responsibility
life
I've watched Lovren few times at southampton, believe me he was amazing and he was great against us too.

The way I see it,I think he has a captain in him.

congrats on having him!

thanks karthik.
