Liverpool squad staying in a hotel even tho the game at Anfield?
+1
They've been doing that a long time now. I've seen many a times players mention this in their interviews.
Can anyone explain me the reason behind this. Cos from the outside it doesn't make sense to stay in the hotel when you have a home in the same city.
I think it may be because it ensures that players get right amount of rest and are focussed for the game next day with no distractions.

Well.. good news now that's it been cleared... Joel can play!!!
Guys i was watching the vid link below and we seriously need a striker

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z8uO6d2NZxc

Henry is so impressed with Firmino because the amount of work he does.
But for the same reason he lacks energy to score when he gets a chance.

Firmino stats at the end of most games are of a MF playing a free role more than a front 3 man. It is incredible the amount of tackles he wins for a so called forward.

Guys Firmino is not playing like a Forward/Winger player but more like what Lallana is doing. He wins the ball more than Gini that's how much work he does. So maybe when klopp gets his wingers in at some stage we probably see Firmino push back into MF with Lallana and Hendo.

Now the reason i said we need a forward is we don't have a top scorer no 9 that we always had and klopp had. {Lewandowski, Aubameyang}

Klopp knows this and maybe he seen Sturridge like one of the no. 9 above before he arrived and now from being around Danny for a while he knows injuries took the best out of him and he now needs a regular goalscorer that hits the back of the net weather our other players are scoring or not.

Mane is our top goalscorer guys and we should have a no.9 that has more goals then him and then we would have a great attack.

If it was like this:

Coutinho.....New Striker.....Mane

..........Firmino...........Lallana......

..................Henderson...............

Now of course another fast winger needs getting also and for those that might think it looks too attacking, We'll it's not because Firmino does more tackles and overall work then Gini anyway. So this way we improve MF and get a real no.9 goalscorer upfront.

I am not so sure about that line up. Although we do need a striker, difficult to see firmino as a acm. I would think you either need lallana or firmino as an advanced cm. To have both of them would be a disaster defensively. Gini protects hendo quite a lot by sitting when in possession and has the discipline to venture forward only when there is cover. Not sure if firmino is suited to that role nor is his passing range any good.
Off late I see him being very rusty and gives away cheap possession. That's prob just down to fatigue. That's just my opinion!

But Firmino is not doing Gini's job. Sure he makes more tackles but that is because Klopp expects his no. 9 to do so and not because he is doing someone else's job!

I am not saying he is doing gini job i am saying when we are defending he wins it a lot more and the reason Lallana was put there was to get more space and Firmino can do everything Lallana can do and more. Lallana comes across more of a weak link in MF on paper yet he is doing better there.

LIVUnchained

Did you watch Gini at Newcastle? If you did you would never think he could play in MF. Firmino plays more like a MF than Gini did yet Gini is doing a very good job there in MF. When we signed Gini i remember a lot on here said why are we buying another CAM ;) Firmino has the ability to play in MF as much as our other cams do. So no reason why he can't play there and if anything he wins the ball back better then the other 2 cams playing there.
+1
I actually thought of this before, Lallana and firmino would be amazing in that position together. But at this moment Becouse of the lack of options up top I will keep him there.

Sergio

That's what i am saying and why we need a no.9 to replace Danny
I think if we are able to see this then definitely Klopp would have noticed this. Also in one of the recent interviews Klopp mentioned he is not interested in stop gap signings.

When season started we had Ings, Sturridge, Origi along with Lallana, mane, cout, Firm. That seems to me like a pretty good forwards and we had numbers as well. Most unfortunate thing this season has been ings out again for long term which none of us expected and sturridge in an out for most of the season.

I really feel if we had Ings fit then we would not have struggled that way we have in last couple of matches cos he is very quick and tricky players which again would boost the players around him.

But anyways point being klopp has to sort out sturridge situation cos we expect him to be fit and firing but when time comes he has hardly ever has been available, and I agree with the point you are trying to make.
Klopp on potentially scrapping offside rule: "I thought most of teams we've played against this season haven't had the offside rule!" #LFC
