Patience is a virtue my friend.. sure it can be quite frustrating. I think Shahktar are willing to listen to offers for Mkhitaryan, so all hope isn't lost in that aspect. Though now with them already losing some players since the transfer window they might want to play hardball with us, which I hope we're doing with the Suarez situation (if teams are genuinely after him)
Regarding the Aspas deal:
"Liverpool's move for Iago Aspas has hit a snag after the Spanish Football Federation blocked the move from going through today. The hold-up is claimed to be because Liverpool dealt with 'unauthorised' FIFA agents, but the club are still hopeful the complications can be resolved."
I still honestly think the club will be able to resolve this. If I'm wrong though and the deal fails because of this some people I'd assume would be losing their jobs at the club? Surely you couldn't let a mistake like that just get brushed underneath the rug.

lol so it turns out we haven't even put in a bid for Mkhitaryan. I bet our people were talking to the wrong agents again. I hope they don't come out and say we haven't signed Aspas neither. It still bothers me that his transfer has not been announced officially by the website/club.
It's good the media are still on your side, scouting good players for you so your scouts will finally notice them ;)
Got a question for people would you prefer liverpool fc to be either a club like bvb or man city?
structure wise eg players and income
structure wise eg players and income
I don't think anybody would want us to be like Man City. The have billionaires without any care for money, so they give outrageous wages that most clubs won't be able to sustain.
For how much I want world class players at liverpool I would never want our owners to go out and spend 40 mill on a player, Just have much more pride in producing players, just thinks it ruins clubs
Really likr how liverpool are doing business now

Just mentioning you really do NOT need to be like City to win the EPL. Dortmund comfortably beat them in the CL, Dortmund also beats the crap out of teams in Germany most of the time at a consistent basis. They'd do really well in England too, probably ending in the top 3, possibly even winning it.
Winning a league requires smart management, great and passionate fans, which you have, a great, loyal coach who inspires his players and is a tactical master and of course players who are quality and work together as a team really well. I'm almost completely certain that a club like BVB would win more trophies in England in the long term than City would.

my money will be on BVB always...It is always good to see top class players coming through ranks and making an impact..
and as Jeroen said It helps in long run.

I think you obviously want somewhere in between (in terms of spending), but what I would really love for Liverpool is to be be able to fully generate large sums of money every window by ourselves (such as Bayern Munich) without moneybag owners; as this will always ensure our place at the elite.
Saying that I think we are heading in that direction, especially with all the commercial deals we have been negotiating recently.

So Henrikh Mkhitaryan is just a rumor #/?!!!# And maybe every other signing apart from Aspas then... And even he could be a rumor...
So f##king Sick thought we were going to make a statement and get Henrikh Mkhitaryan...

Shakhtar's chief executive :'But the situation has been strongly and artificially inflated. I can say that we have had no communication from any member of Liverpool.
'Henrikh is an important player in our team. Shakhtar want to keep him but we are willing to listen and consider all proposals for his transfer.'
Sometimes the off season is more frustrating then the damn season itself.

i am not suprised in the least bit. I think gone are the days when we will splash more than 15 mil on a player.
r u kidding me? he was singing kits in liverpool and was ready for medical, and now they're saying we didn't had any offers. "F**k this"
"We have already parted with Willian and Fernandinho but the club will not just sell players."
“Soon we will also strengthen ourselves with quality players, designed to replace those who have left.”
Don't like the sound of that... I hope we are still going after him though!

I just hope the LFC supporters at Anfield don't boo at Carroll. Not his fault we overspent on the man who was never going to make it here, but he looked as if he gave his all when ever he played. I hope he gets a great round of applause at Anfield
Don't see why that would happen, most liverpool fans don't hold a grudge against him. Yes he cost a lot of money for the club but that was our managements own fault for spending so much. I hope he does well for West Ham and could be there 'star' man. Hope he doesn't do well against us though when we play them :P

"More than 600 supporters, including representatives from Manchester United, West Ham United, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, Leicester City and Tranmere Rovers, had earlier gathered in London's Regent's Park before marching to Gloucester Place."

Nice to see all different fans in England to come together and protest ticket prices.
'Football without fans is nothing'
Sad to see some of the die hard fans/loyal fans who in turn get pushed away because of higher ticket pricing. Then some other "fans" who can probably pay more than the die hard ones take the place and are the wankers who are on their phone during a match rather than cheering and being passionate for the team. Though Liverpool's pricing for season ticket holders & tickets for home and away matches aren't as bad as City, Arsenal, Chelsea, Utd etc.
