It should be interesting to see if klopp plays all four artists in this game. If he does, well it will be a festival of goals I hope. Spartan are having a nightmare with injuries ATM. They have their best defenders, captain and striker out. Looks like a great time to be playing them.
We need to get that three points. We want to be qualified from the group stage with a couple of games to spare and play some young players in the final games as the games will start to pile fast and quick.
If we play our cards right, we should return from Russia with the three points. I'm sure all eyes would be in our attack, but The Star of the show will have to be the way we defend tonight. Make no mistake even without their best players Spartan will come out and attack. They're not a defensive team and if they manage to get an early goal, the game can turn sour very quickly.
From our last game through it seems that we have turned a corner. Against leceister the players didn't drop their heads when they conceded and always had that arrogance that they could always go and score another. They defended in packs when needed and did a lot of good things, far from perfect but definitely on the right path.
With mane coming back, it's like getting a defender and a striker in one. He's like two players as he will be our first line of defence, the opposition won't have time to linger on the ball in midfield or defence and he will be our rocket in attack. We are always much harder to beat when his in the team.
Oh god I wish lalana was playing it would have been the perfect team, but let's hope juda oops I mean can, puts in a better performance than his loyalty towards the club. We will need him to do the dirty work today and together with Hendo be brave enough to shorter our back four.
I do hope Milner gets the nod ahead of can, as I think he offers more to the team and with him we have experience, and a player willing to run all day to defend and control the game. He definitely has a great eye for both pass and goals and if courting is taken out early and we get a penalty.. He's the one you want to be on the field.
Should be a great one from the lads. More vital experience for players like alexandre and karius. Maybe we might see Robertson given the nod in front of Moreno. Anyway, let's give them hell.YNWA.
Least but not last, please let ALL our fans return home safely to their family after the game.
So how good a side are Spartak? Well anyone can beat us, but still what are the odds like?
Quincy Promes plays for Spartak, who we're facing tmrw. Maybe a little scouting trip on the side.
Please tell me more
We were constantly linked with him last year. Maybe he's still a target and at the very least he's one to watch.
What position does he play what are your thoughts on him :)
pacey winger, don't think he's good enough to displace salah or mané, but i think he'd have a better time than ox (still not used to him being a liverpool player yet)
+1
You got Ox two weeks ago and you already want to get rid of him? :)
Isn't it already confirmed he won't be playing?
That's been confirmed two days ago. They're without four of their main players. We won't get a better chance to get three points from this group
Crystal palace. 6 games played, 0 scored.
Benteke out with ligament damage.
Woy at the helm.

They are going down for sure.
+4
I wouldn't wish owl face on my worst enemy. Except ManU. Yeah that would be sweet..
+3
So looks like can will be allowed to go on a free to juve in 9 months time, imo it's the best for club and player. Cans agent want a release clause to be added.. And a low one so it can be activated by the likes of juve etc

I say f**k the release clause, that will make every other player demand this. Let him go if he does not want to be here long term. We have a better, younger player on his way anyways.
I doubt that Klopp will allow Can to go on a free...he seems to rate him pretty highly.
+2
Not to mention he is german :)
+2
Klopp wont take s**t from can even if he is a fellow german
+4
What are you talking about, Sergio?
Corrected spelling mistake =p

Can makes too many mistakes , he can fokoff

Always respected Lucas. Did the dirty work.. never complained if he didn't start. Just wanted what was best for the club. Hope he has a successful time @ Lazio
+2
One of the best DMs in the world at the moment!
@^ okay that's taking it too far :P
+8
Tbh he looks better then bligla at the moment and biglia is highly rated in seria a
FSG should not have let him go!

Those cheapshits are killing the club from the within, letting legends go out just like that. Completely bad man management. This came down to how cheap they are!

Every minute they are in charge, we are losing our ground.
+2
@azeal your getting boring now
+2
He could have been a CB for us. I would take Lucas over Lovern any day
+1
Exactly! He is bloody good and was always a great servant of the
Club. Never complained. Wish him the best!
Azeal- take a chill pill dude. You need to relax.
From @empireofthekop

Midfield touches yesterday:

Wijnaldum - 34
Can - 62
Henderson - 93

The skipper carried them, but it's not fashionable to praise him ATM.
+1
His first good performance of the season.. Hopefully he continues this form
+4
Worthless, overrated, and not fit for Liverpool.
+2
He had a strong showing, hope he continues.
+3
He was really on song yesterday! No doubt. Lets hope he continues with this form. We need it
+1
Doesn't he take 2 touches more than he needs?

Probably could be half that figure or less if he was not so ponderous on the ball?
That is can ^
+3
Very interesting video about Henderson.

https://youtu.be/B_nwXpoQjfI

Really worth the watch. I'm not saying I agree or disagree but it got me thinking about Hendo on the team.
+1
I always knew that about Hendo, he is constantly looking for a back pass and a side pass. The fans knows it as well. I agree mostly with the video about Hendo's game style but what it doesn't state is that we actually have enough quality up front for Hendo to shift the pressure or making risks. Now im not saying its right for Hendo to not make a risky pass or dribble heck even i get annoyed and moan but he does put in a decent shift.

However,

I do believe a player like Keita who play's in Hendo's position would offer so much more for our team in terms of breaking down opposition.

Hope we get Keita in Jan.
+3
Keita does not play in Hendo's position. He's a more attacking midfielder.
The video basically uses stats sometimes and then cherry picks bad moments to highlight when they don't feel like using stats. To say Henderson is bad on the ball is absurd. The guy is among the best at retaining possession. To say he doesn't or can't play line splitting passes is also absurd.

Cherry picked video. It lacks credibility.
+4
ATM Hendo is our best midfielder by far. And not because he is a world beater (altough his leadership abilities are greatly underestimated in terms of importance for the team) but because our others midfielders are not that good. They are poor in terms of defending and even worse going forward.
+1
Colin, kieta has been playing more of a holding mid this season. Check his tackling stats
Keita can definitely play his position and this would mean that there is more competition for his position which is a good thing. Might bring the best out of Hendo
I actually like Gomez as our RB over TAA.
He wins so many physical battles and has the ability to put in a decent cross.
+6
Hopefully Clyne comes back soon. He provides defensive stability.
+1
But clyne does nothing going forward
+3
I think we have enough going for us attacking wise. The defence is the problem. So some more stability sounds good to me.
+1
Clyne any f*****g day. He is just a better player overall.
+5
^ i disagree. Clyne is a very very weak 1st choice.
If he could dribble/pass with his left foot he would be a very good right back.
