Comparing our squad to arsenal and spurs at the moment who we will be fighting with for champions league spot assuming everton are going down the drain which they will be.

The article also says we want to offload Assaidi and downing..that is rubbish. We already have shortage of wingers ,I dont want to sell them now with no backup but I will take this guy for 3 million..
worth a gamble but selling downing is a no no he is our only experienced winger and has pl experience. If you are gonna sell downing you have to replace him with someone better and someone who has experience in bigger leagues. In that instance atsu is a step down. He could turn into another assaidi for all we know.
Plus we really should not be bothered with wingers at this time our priority should be sorting our defense and defensive midfield. If we are trying to improve our starting 11.

Player I would look out for: Ilkay Gundogan; Surprisingly under-rated and under-discussed.
And at 22 years old, he can only get better..
Actually he's rated highly and much discussed (he essentially replaced Sahin). He's from the same city as Ozil and Neuer. Plus, if Bleacher Report knows about him...:

yeah checked out a few players on youtube, there is a big difference from downing and players that are out there for the picking. sometimes downing is just too one-dimentional. feel bad for the guy maybe he should become a left back and learn to defend better.

you could see he was talented in the cameos he had for dortmund in the past.. but once sahin left, gundgodan became the starter and has proved to be quite the player.
gotze has now left and the next academy player to reach prominence would be moritz leitner...brilliant player, who can play any of the "3" or the attacking part of the "2" in a 4-2-3-1...
but now that dortmund have money and can buy players like erikson de bruyne etc, it may be the case he still has to wait a while to break into the starting xi
