Liverpool star James Milner warns new signings not to 'disrespect' the club by joining for Champions League football

‘It’s disrespectful to the club if you say the only reason you are going to Liverpool is for Champions League,’ said Milner. ‘With the history, the manager and the players at this club, it’s slightly disrespectful if the only reason you come is that.

He is right but unfortunately, it is a great incentive for players in today's world
+1
Milner is old school and why i have so much respect for him.
+2
We did it whew. Still a cup win would have been a perfect season. Need more depth in squad and fitness team has to work hard losing key players to injuries way too much this season.
+1
It be a perfect season if Ajax wins otherwise the c***s had a better season than us!
Transfer news please..!

Sir Ian rush...fowler....m.owen...torres....suarez....who will be next??? with the champs league we now need a true striker which this club has always been reknowned for.
+2
I would love a top striker, second choice dolberg or Werner and sturridge as third
+1
I wouldnt mind werner
Griezmann and play him upfront instead of Bobby

His play very similar to Young Torres looks like him also
I´m kind of glad the season is over by now. Cost me few minor heart attacks but the reward in CL is sweet in the end.
Loads of questions on my mind tho.

Hendo - is he still worth his place and capitancy? Injury prone, not really a world beater. I´d say there are handful of players better than him in his position but stil his place is not the major issue so we might stick with him?

Studge or Origi - Personaly i´d prefer Studge. None of the two should be a starter tho and as a power sub i´d prefer studge anytime.

Milner - Is he stil a first the first choice for LB? Or do we go for a first choice team LB in the summer and utilize Milner as a great squad player anywhere on the pitch? I´d love that.

Also big up to Brendan. Amazing season for him!
Well I agree everything you said about Hendo, but think who would you rather give the arm band to? Milner is the only deserving candidate, but taking away the band will be a big blow to Hendo, so why demoralize a player who plays with heart when there aren't really many contenders for the armband.

Well upfront I'd keep Origi he has been of service whenever called upon. I'd also like to keep Studge but he is too injury prone and not reliable. When available is definitely one of the best in the league but would be an expensive backup given his wages. So I'd be tempted to cash in and use on a better player. Moreso because he doesnt suit Klopp's game, since he doesnt close the spaces and doesnt run as much as it's needed in this system.

I dont see us buying two LB, so maybe Mili and Moreno's replacement (after we've managed to sell him) would be the LB I would think.
And yes good feat for BR!
I think Hendo doesn't outshine other players, but! We win a lot when he is up and running.

I think there is something about him that makes the team perform better when he is on the field.
This is why we need nabi kieta, will play the 6 role to perfection. Henderson still has a part to play and should be captain imo he has showed alot of fight and is a big game player. Mabey he is not technically gifted but he is so influential when fit. Let's hope klopp and Co find the root to his foot injury and he can be fit for next season

We all forget how much of a engine he has, bar Lallana and firmino he is the hardest working midfielder in the league imo the perfect klopp player as he ain't scared of the opposition and always plays for the team. His off the pitch stuff and also the work he does with the academy players just says captain to me. I think Lallana should be vice captain as I see him staying and retiring here
