Ok let's be honest here.

How many times have you replayed Moreno's goal? No exaggeration, I'm on 30+.

To top it off I'm about to watch MOTD again.

Falcao has no ambition as a footballer, he is a money monger. First he made a substandard move to Monaco and now to United, who are a big club, but no champions league and this is purely down to the crazy wages they are paying him. Smh.

Hey guys I am trying to get some tickets to Liverpool Vs Real Madrid in madrid and was wondering if anyone knows if KIX tickets is a legitimate website or not? I just want to go and am willing to pay an inordinate amount of money

It feels like ages since we had such a good transfer window. We have good depth in all position now. I'm pretty satisfied with how we are. Even if failed to get Sanchez and Remy, we got markovic and balotelli. I still remember we could not sign any of our targets like dempsey, sigurdsson, dembele, salah, mikhtaryan, costa few years and not champions league spot makes it so much easier to attract players.

Wake up to the good news that suso is still in the squad for this season :)

i know his got really tough competition, he just needs to bond with the first team players and of course train harder.

Great Transfer window

816 750 000 Pounds spent this transfer window more than 100 million pounds more spent last season.
In the future, Advanced human societies will look at our generation and laugh at our non nonchalant abuse of resources. That amount of money could easily house, feed and teach every person in Africa, probably end social inequality in the uk as well. But watching idiots kick a ball for 90 mins is more important to our society.

sometime i do feel football is becoming like a modern slavery.. except the players are receiving unimaginable pay.. they belong to the club.. can be sold or etc..
Going back to Skorm's original post, and the follow up comments, I don't think Transfer Fees are the problem. The football transfer world is a fairly open market dictated by supply and demand. If football clubs are paying these sorts of fees to get players it is because they consider it to be a worthwhile investment for the reward they will get in terms of revenue and success based on what money they have available. It really is just a reflection of how big football is worldwide.
Furthermore, the money being paid on transfer fees isn't just being thrown in the gutter, it is going to another team as a transfer fee, in theory meaning the net spend should always amount to zero with smaller teams from other leagues making profits.
For example (this is based on transfermarkt.com stats), this season the English Premier League had a €-486,97 Mil deficit, while on the other hand the Dutch Eredivisie, French Ligue 1, English Championship and the Portuguese Primeira Liga had profits of €98.2mil, €79.5mil,€28.2mil and €95.6mil respectively.

Player wages on the other hand can be a different story. The money some of the top players make in wages is "unimaginable" and that is going to the individual (and their agent) for them to spend how they want.
Becoming a footballer is extremely difficult. The amount of time and dedication must be up and beyond. The amount of running is something I can only imagine.

Top players like Gerrard, Messi, Cristiano, Suarez etc., must have put in countless hours into football, waking up early morning every single day and doing the same thing over and over and over again.

Football is more than a job, it connects people from all corners of this planet we live in, wherever you may be.

I met a guy once who knew not to speak English or Spanish and I said "Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Kaka, Ronaldinho....." and he just started nodding and smiling even though we didn't understand each other, what we did understand was the common interest in football.

The "unimaginable" pay that this players receive is only a fruit to their "unimaginable" dedication and love of football.

arsenal sign welbeck for 16mil... this prove balotelli is a much much bargain.. well we get the circus in addition to that.
+3
Only time will tell.
+6
No need for time to tell dude.. Balo > Welbeck anyday LOL!!

So were in talking with valdes, his an animal there is this misconception that his overrated but I think he has the passion and loyalty required to be a pool player! And for free, what a signing that would be!
+2
There is nothing called 'free'. Signing on fees for players that have been let go from clubs are almost always hefty.

Full Squad

GK - Mignolet, Jones
CB - Lovren, Skrtel, Sakho, Toure
RB - Manquilo, Flanagan, Johnson
LB - Moreno, Enrique
CDM - Gerrard, Lucas
CM - Allen, Can, Henderson
CAM - Coutinho, Lallana
Wingers - Sterling, Markovic, Suso
ST - Sturridge, Balotelli, Lambert, Borini

GK - Valdes

Loans - Assaidi, Coates, Ilori, Ibe, Smith, Wisdom, Texiera, Alberto, Aspas, Origi

Injuries - Skrtel, Flanagan, Johnson

I m pretty sure the club is dissapointed - Assaidi, Aspas should have been permanent transfers. Borini also didnt happen. Also i m pretty sure lucas was surplus to requirements. Borini and Lucas now have to prove themselves when given an opportunity.

We should have kept agger and sold toure. We are still missing a proper midfielder who can protect the back 4. Schneiderlinn would have been perfect and instead of overpaying for lallana we should have gone for firmino. I am sure lallana will prove himself but southampton got 50m from us for 3 players.

Our net spend was only 30 - 35m. We should have ample money to make some signings in jan.

I said we weren't even looking at the player we needed when we were raiding Soton. Schneiderlinn, in my eyes, would have made us title contenders again this year. We still look leaky. Some fullbacks that actually know how to defend help quite a bit, but there's still a huge hole right in the middle in front of our back four. Honestly, wouldn't have went out and spent on a CB. Most of the goals scored against us were not on them last year, excluding the sweet finishes of Skrtel and Toure into our own net.

Firmino does look like a very nice player to me. What was he quoted at? Either way, I'm sure it was far less than Lallana, so yeah, I would have gone with him instead, as well. As you said, we've spent 30-35M in a year when we made well more than that. Let's not forget we didn't buy anyone, for some crazy reason, last January. So, we've spent 30-35M pounds over the course of the whole year! That isn't s**t. I think just playing in CL is something like 50-60M for the club.

When supporters say they, "don't want us to be like City, Chelsea, and ManU" I just laugh, cause we aren't in the same stratesophere. Money needs to be spent to win things now a days. It is that simple.

I'd give us a B in this window. Still a few weaknesses in this team that we had the money to fix, but we are looking like we made strides forward, so bring on the season!
