Carlo Ancelotti gets the sack...Florentino Perez is so trigger-happy like holy s**t

PS.Klopp to Madrid is a 'REAL' possibility now ;) huehue
PPS.They're saying Rafa is actually most likely to get the job now...
i dont want rafa to go to real, just like his appointment at Chelsea. regardless of the dumb decisions he had at Chelsea like not playing terry every week i still think they under rated him as a manager. his love for this club is rare as we will find it hard to attract other great managers at the moment. with proper financial backing and the right committee with benitez making the calls from the beginning to the end of transfers its a match made in heaven.
Agreed, although as of now, it looks like BR will be staying another year. Which is stupid because there are all these world class managers available this summer. Rafa being one of them and we all know he would love to be back.
What manager would want to go to Liverpool except rafa and he won't happen!
don't believe everything you see in the media. He still could very well get axed. Ancelotti just became available. There's quite a few mangers who wed be able to potentially get. FSG would be damn fools not to even consider the other options.
http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11669/9864929/liverpool-to-review-season-but-not-considering-sacking-brendan-rodgers

"Liverpool are not considering replacing under-fire manager Brendan Rodgers this summer, according to Sky sources."
+1
That's a shame. It's gonna be another difficult year.
+2
yay
+3
No, just no.
+1
Skysports is not the end all be all of football sources
Ofc he is not gonna get sacked, unless FSG found another one as docile as him.
Great news.

Let us all celebrate!
+5
i dont mind Rogers to stay but we should replace entire trainng crew, director of football and owners. Once this is done we are good to go.
+2
I could care less about liverpool tbh at this point. I am tired and pissed off at being lied too.

I will still support the team but i have no expectations for next season from the team, owners, manager.
+1
This don't mean s**t, they are still reviewing options I'm sure of it
+1
i feel if brendan were going to be sacked it would have happened already. now you guys got to hope you have smarter buys in the transfer window, i think thats your downfall this season. not enough goals despite buying 3 strikers (one on loan), a cam, etc.
People seem to be forgetting its the players that play the matches. They didn't have enough, particularly at striker, to get into the top 4 this season. Not with Sturridge Perpetually injured. There is very little BR could have done to remedy that. The transfer committee needs to do a better job addressing needs.

Origi in worst team of the ligue 1 season :/
+5
lol he was bad like really bad. Then again that entire Lille team was just average this year
+4
He scored a goal in the World Cup and everyone lost their mind lol
+3
bit harsh 8 goals in 33 games is not worse than 7 in 35 from the 100,000 pound wunderkid, and don't use the s**t argument of better league english league is very competitive but so is the french.
+3
I just want to put this one out

19 Years old.
+2
^ can't disagree with either of you , also not to forget the factor that he had nothing to play for this season, he knew he was already going to Liverpool at end of the season so why really bother , in case Liverpool don't buy any other striker ( which I hope they do ) he will automatically get descent playing time , will also depend on strurridge time on physio table .
+1
Well it's because he signed for Pool that expectations for him rose, his performances did not reflect those expectations, that's what the worst team of the season is for. Not based on performance alone. It's exactly like that with ADM. Second assister in the league but still be labelled as flop, even within Utd quarter.
+1
Always knew he was another borini, one goal on the biggest stage and somehow he is potentially going to be fantastic
+2
he looked pretty good in the world cup, he looked way better than lukak. he's young yet, too soon to write him off.
@sif- you are right but he is not going to give us 20goals a season, in my opinion he is a very good finisher, decent pace and technical ability. cant see him improving much in the future thats my worry.
yeah you buy guys like origi if you are not expecting to win much so he can play all the time and develop, or if you have a badass team and he's the future and he rounds off the squad for cup games.

he's not the star name you guys need, you need players to hit the ground running, not take 3 years to come to grips.. unless you can get both.
1) 19 years old
2) Scores an average amount of goals for a striker in the Ligue 1
3) Part of a team that sucks and barely provided chances for him

How does that amount to him being s**t all of a sudden? Yeah, he's no Hazard, but Hazard played at Lille when they were at their best with some really great players. Hazard was their star, but then again, he'd have been the star in top teams in England even 4 years ago as well.
another borini i agree
tbh yall should get Redmond to replace Sterling if he goes. I see many similarities in their plays.

Fast, same role, same hair, same nationality, same age lol

Except Redmond has really good shot in him , he takes corners and free kicks
+1
We already have a better player in Jordan Ibe.
+5
I'd say Bolasie. I'd gladly take Bolasie at Chelsea.
+1
^Then please take him before BR goes and buys him for 25m. We have enough average players in our team.
+2
For those who dont want EL you can still cheer for Villa to win and then you can throw your third round qualif games. Not very pro but well it is still an option.

But imo EL would be good for your young squad's experiences + CL promise for winner. Downside would be ofc the travel distance and less recovery time for EPL games.

Well good day to you too Dan ^^

Apparently Salvio of benefica is flying in to anfield. Could all be a bunch of bs though
+1
40m pounds buy-out clause. He's worth around 15m-18m pounds, I think.
+1
Tell that to our negotiation team.. But I agree with you
+2
Klopp to Liverpool ?
+5
Tough luck this season mates, LFC is a big club and you'll eventually bounce back, let's hope for a better next season, I'd rather see you up there than Chelsea that's for sure.

What do you make of BR though? I'm interested in what you guys think, should he leave or stay and try to go through with his project?
Personally I always think it's better to give the time to a manager that has a long term plan to really go through with it: SAF started with bad results, Wenger is starting to collect what he had planned a decade ago.

He certainly has something to work with, Henderson willing to fill in SG8's shoes (good luck to him though), some good youngsters, a good starting 11... I guess the main question is: does BR really have a clear long term plan?
+2
Darren Farley - like
Well, if he'll be sacked, I believe he won't be LFC's coach next year, and, if he'll not be sacked, he will be LFC's coach next year. That's how I feel.
+3
I want him to stay as a youth coach or an understudy to Rafa Benitez, so that he can learn how to defend first. But, that will never happen, he is too cocky to do that.
+3
Interesting point Barlfc. I'll let that sink in for a moment. Mind=blown.

I actually think he will or will not be sacked this summer. At this point, we have to think it's one or the other.
