We have to get Higuain, if it takes 40 million we have to spend that much.
+1
Yes! WE NEED STRIKERS!
The result vs Madrid was disappointing but I am very proud of the team besides probably migs. The 1st goal was class, but the next two were certainly avoidable. It was a great match with two attacking teams going at it, I'm just glad there was no parking of the bus or anything like that. Replacing Suarez was always going to be a tough task, but it's disappointing to see that we could get nobody near that quality. If a team like Napoli can get someone like higuain then I'm sure liverpool can too, and if it's about the money then I think KD is in part responsible for the reluctance to break the bank due to his poor signings for a lot of money. Besides Suarez and hendo as we can see. That reluctance has seen us miss out on some good attainable players. It also bothers me that players would rather go to spurs than liverpool (eriksen, sigurdson). The team is too young and needs real quality leaders to help take us to the next step, Suarez being the prefect example. The policy of youth with potential won't get us anywhere without a few key quality players who can command. On a side note a realistic target would be callejon who scores goals consistently. Yacine Brahimi from Porto is one to watch.
All in all I think we will still get top 4 at the expense of arsenal although it's still early. The points we have on the table with the way we've been playing is not bad.

I want to see Lambert and Borini together but I know that would never happen...
+2
Maybe our defenders can try this tactic vs Hull City.

Anyone see what Rafael from manure did before Berahino scored his goal, he ran behind him screaming ;)

Berahino scored the goal for WBA ;)

Carlo Ancelotti —"A poor game by Balotelli? He was one of their only players who caused us problems"

Was Balotelli that bad?Was he worse than our Defence? Are we expecting too much from him?Is he given a wrong role?

He is no Suarez and maybe he needs sometime to settle down and adapt to his new role?
+1
I still don't understand why you guys signed him.
+6
We hit the panic button.
+3
^^Exactly. I would even take old Adebayor over him any day.At least he can score.
+1
I'd rather have Brad Jones play in net cause all Mignolet does is raise my f*****g blood pressure. All I wish to do is watch games with a modicum of peace, is that too much to ask for?
+1
And now for something completely different, why not.

So the Liverpool fans were Booing the great CR7, which is always a mistake because he just gets off on that crap. He scores a wonder goal and the Liverpool fans end up taking pic's of him ;)

Hats off to Real Madrid, good team - Isco is just amazing.
+6
the fans applauded him when he was subbed off
+3
Anyone think Rodgers is going to drop Balotelli?
I think yes otherwise he will slowly start to lose the dressing room. He made an example of sakho. I still don't buy sakho is injured. Borini is already being made an example. Add balotelli to that list now.
Balo must be dropped. BR still has loads of time to turn things around. The confidence is so low, BR must change his selection and tactics and get the team back communicating with each other on the pitch. We must not be a one dimensional team.
One dimensional is exactly what Balo is making us. The min Rodgers switch to the team Carra suggested 2 nights ago we played more freely and we should of starting that way. Matter of fact Since last year carra has came up with some good suggestions and i really think he should be back at the club helping out.
+1
You know your team is in a crisis when their are posts from fans complaining about defense. Then there are more posts complaining about attack. It has all gone to shits since suarez left and sturridge got injured. They both used to bang in the goals and make you forget about how s**t the defense was.

I must have written about a dozen posts saying last season the team lacks balance and we are gonna get slaughtered playing 2 strikers up front in europe. One window later. Team still lacks balance. Before the problem was defense now you could argue its all over the pitch. I am patient though i will give all these lads this season and just put up with it.

Rome was not build in a day. I just hope we learn something from this and stop selling our best players no matter what. Lets focus on the league and a good performance plus 3 points against hull city.
Pewpew

That's what i said last year when a lot shot me for saying Suarez is going and Migs is shite. I seen this a mile of and many others should of or they were in denial. I just know Suarez was going and that Migs wouldn't be able to hide anymore. S.A.S took the bad look of Migs letting in 50 goals.

It was not that long ago that Škrtel was our player of the season. Sakho was one of the highest rated players on performance during the world cup. I have being watching Lovren for a long time and he was a beast.

I am telling you as soon as we get another better GK you will see the puzzle at the back going together.
I watch a lot of football and i see loads of defenders making mistakes that could end up causing goals. But nobody every talks about it because their man between the post does his job. Mignolet is not doing his in any shape or form bar a Hollywood save here and there. You would have to go back as far as the 2008/2009 Season to find a season that we conceded 50 goals.

Reina was never as bad as Mignolet even in his worse seasons and he should of being kept. But he is gone and sadly we got to move on. At the rate Mignolet is going he will conceded more goals than last season because it is worse he is getting. I really liked him at Sunderland and was happy we got him. But i am sick of feeling like a bag of nerves every time i see him in goals. So i can imagine how our defenders feel.

Most of our defenders are very good for their International teams and the ones that have been here a long time have been solid up until Mignolet went in goals.

So here's hoping We get a good No.1 because Mignolet is only a No.2
+2
Mignolet has no idea how to command from the back. I have no faith in the man anymore, our defenders have no confidence. Bruce Grobbelaar was the first person last season to criticize him harshly, and he had some valid points. Mignolet is a poor Keeper.
+2
I also get a bad feeling when Mignolet is put under pressure.. from how things have been going I always expect us to AT LEAST concede one goal (as shitty as that sounds) This team is so stop/start right now. The jury will be out at Anfield against Hull on Saturday.
+1
Very True my friends. Everything down to his kick outs are poor a part from a Hollywood save here and there as i said above.
I disagree with you guys. Mignolet is a world class keeper. Rodgers is an attack minded coach, so Liverpool always leaves a lot of space in the back. The problem this season is that we can't take the game to our opponents, because Balotelli is s**t and gives the ball away every time he gets it. Therefore, our opponents are taking the game to us and we are under pressure much more than we were last season. I think Rodgers should have more trust in Lambert and start him over Balotelli.
