Spurs are going to be a harder test than Man U. They will forsure throw players forward!
+1
OR in Klopp's words "We don't have many games where both teams are going for everything. It's exciting." Nice little dig at the club that plays boring football.
+4
A harder test for our defense, but our offense will have better opportunities due to the way Spurs play
+1
So much salt in the other forum about Klopp . According to football geniuses there . Klopp is like a wee player from second division and MOurinho like Messi and Ronaldo...

We finally got a win that is convincing. Good moral for the boys to build on.
+2
it is a good win morally,
now we need to translate it into consistency
+4
Well anything to help our front three click finally, and seven goals againts any European opponent is wonderful
+2
Great win!
One question after this remains on my mind...

Hendo. Yes or No?

I know a weak side and all of this, but is it time to try to rotate the him with Milner here and there? Or do we stuck with him until Keyta arrival.

I mean i can not really say he proves to be a real captain in my eyes and all of the sideways and backwards passing kind of kills the fluency and potential of attacking players.

I know he works really hard and has the long ball / switch play abilitily, but is it really needed in this high tempo pressing game?

Makes me think he is not working in the team anymore.
Henderson earned his spot and the capts armband , however if we want to challenge for titles and cups , he just wont cut it as he is .. he needs to step his game up or reinvent himself ... rotating him with milner might not be such a bad idea
+2
Henderson can perform as one of the best midfielders in EPL on a good day. He can also perform as the worst midfielder in EPL on his bad days.

Hendo needs consistency, we can't have that hit or miss performance.
+1
Plays good when teams play with a high line, but when they sit deep.. His passing range is useless and just reverts to playing it side ways alot. Tbh his alot more faster then can is on the ball but is alot less direct and less brave too.
+3
People say he passes backwards and sideways a lot but that is what the position does. That position is there to keep possession, win the ball back and build the attack. Hendo is good at keeping/winning possession and has a great range of passing. I agree with Sergio that when teams wit deep he is not effective, but I think that is just a problem with tactics. When Hendo does make runs behind he can be more effective attack-wise. The thing is, when the teams sit deep no one is really effective, because that is what sitting deep and defending does. It defends well.
Yeah it's not really his fault, his doing what he is meant to be doing. Againts teams that sit deep it would make sence to play 4-2-3-1 but what do I know
well you can't question Hendo's work-rate, desire or his commitment to the team but in terms of on the ball quality he is definitely lacking. he's mostly always looking to play the safe sideways pass and I rarely ever see an incisive ball down the middle or a venture forwards. now I understand that his position as a deeper lying midfielder means he has to do these basic things most of the time but moving into the future, I don't think he has the overall quality to be integral to the team. I think the arrival of Naby Keita next season will definitely shake things up
+2
I think it's disingenuous to say he rarely plays an incisive ball down the middle. He does play balls up through the middle, he also plays a lot of balls in every other direction including long over the top balls. I think people just don't really notice some of his forward passes as much since he is playing so deep that most of the time it doesn't amount to anything. I would also like to see him improve and get Keita or someone else to challenge/improve on the position, but I feel Hendo gets a lot of unfair criticism.
+3
yesterday i dream i am klopp.. and held a meeting to inform everyone about new contract extension transparently...

no contract extension for henderson and sturridge
+1
Henderson isn't a bad player but whoever becomes captain of this club will be compared to the living legends that wore it before ie Carra and Stevie. Henderson needs consistency and honestly personally I wouldn't be upset if someone else got the captaincy.
