

Arsenal handed home tie against Wigan in Carling Cup quarter-final draw

Arsenal and Manchester United were today kept apart in the draw for the quarter-finals of the Carling Cup - with the Gunners given a home tie against Wigan and United handed an away trip to West Ham.
Birmingham were paired with Aston Villa, who they have not between in six derby contests, while in the round's final tie Ipswich were drawn at home to West Brom.
The draw in full for the quarter-finals of the Carling Cup. Ties will be played in the week commencing November 29: Arsenal v Wigan, Birmingham v Aston Villa, West Ham v Manchester United, Ipswich v West Brom
