stay! i think he's returned to his former confidence and i think next season he will run sh*t. All the haters out there, refrain from we've heard this before comment because i said this earlier this season that he would impact top 4 and europa which both came true!
I don't mind him staying but I want him to lower his wage bill if he really cares for the club. With 200,000 a week wage, we can find a better player or two.
Lets be realistic guys..Torres already has couple of years on his contract and nobody will be able to lower the wages for a existing contract....only way of getting ride of 200k wage bill is selling him, but that wont happen next year for sure.
It's not impossible to convince him to lower his wages. We did something like that to Daniel Alves when he wanted a much improved contract.
Convince the sponsors (Adidas?) of your players to offer him a better contract and offer him a lesser one at the same time. Nike offered Alves a better personal contract, while the Tier 2 contract (Xavi and Iniesta's type of contract) he wanted Barça was reduced to a Tier 3 contract (Piqué-type of contract). Combined with the Nike-contract, he still made the amount of money he wanted in total, and both the club and the player are left happy.
You might convince Torres to give part of his wages to a good cause or something too, which would be great PR for himself and Chelsea FC. Kind of like how Beckham gave his €5m he earned at PSG to a good cause for children in Paris. That was big news back then, it made him and PSG look nice in the process, and that kind of PR stunt is definitely more valuable then the 'lost' €5m.

Such an emotional season...
Chelsea say goodbye to Paulo Ferreira
United say goodbye to Paul Scholes
Liverpool say goodbye to Jamie Carragher
Spurs say goodbye to UEFA Champions League
Arsenal say goodbye to whoever will do the RVP next season

Santi Cazorla to Man City or United would be the epic move of the summer if another Nasri/Cesc/RVP thing would happen.
LoL that brief moment of joy at WHL XD

Torres just about earned his place in the team for next season and i don't think he will leave anyway, as for benitez he did his job well and will leave with his head held high

now u guys can bitch all u want but he is doing well despite the fact u guys give him little or no credit. first its he is useless, now its he is getting paid too much... boo-frickin-hoo.. what he makes is irrelevant its just evident he had a waaay better agent than all the others...
quit whining about every little thing and just support the guy..irregardless he is blue and he will be until RA dumps him!
