Alot doubted Balotelli at Liverpool. Watch him score lots of goals, having thay freedom in attack. Same like Sturridge, Torres, Suarez
i dont think anyone doubts balotellis ability. just his behavior on and off the pitch is a big problem
I don't doubt he will score goals and be a terror in the league..but i also don't doubt the probability of brawls with his team mates
Pat Analysis on T-Courtois against Burnley

I'm no goalie expert, but it looked like that atletico goal vs real was casillas' fault. He made a similar mistake vs man u letting in a goal that was a cross. It's weird they play him so much, he seems like their 3rd best goalie at the moment
Far from it. It was bad defending at the near post, and Casillas was great vs Sevilla and did well vs Atletico when tested.
@Eeegay - are you kidding me? You really blaming Casillas for that goal? wow
When that cornerkick reached the 6 yard box, there were 5 Real Madrid players and 1 Atleti player that went for the ball and they all completely missed the ball which kindly came to Raul Garcia, who was unmarked! Where was the defender marking Garcia? How did the defense leave him alone to get that knick on the ball?

That goal was all down to poor defense and poor marksmanship by the defender like @Hikmat said.
Casillas sucks, but that wasn't his fault

So who here is buying the new Fifa15 with Hazard on the cover? :P
pretty much every chelsea fan
I am for sure get it every year....
a few thoughts on liverpools signing of mario...

he is a great player with so much potential and for that type of price no doubt its worth it, but im thinking of sturridge playing next to mario there could be a conflict of egos as they are both young and wanting to be the main man.Or they could bounce off each other and be a great partnership which is also likely.

we all know sturridge can hold the ball a little more than other players so it will be interesting to see marios reactions.. liverpool supporters i want to here some of your thoughts as well.
Sturridge isn't 'egoistic' as you all claim. He played selfishly with us because he had to impress from the RW, and had to warm the bench knowing full well he deserves to be playing instead of Torres. I am really sad he didn't stay with us, because we can all see what he can do when on fire. But Torres' name and price, and Roman's mistake led to him leaving, so we can't help it. Sturridge can handle not being the main man pretty well if he's played to his strengths. He said Luis Suarez in his team, mate.

Mario isn't a cocky, egoistic guy too.. I think he's just kiddish, and wants to have fun. He doesn't take football seriously. It's his job, he's paid for it, but he plays like it's with his mates on his backyard. That's why he does stupid things too. I think those two will be great for Liverpool. Especially Daniel.
I think Niru has it correct, Sturridge isn't egotistic, he just needs freedom to play in his CF role. Balo is definitely kiddish and immature, but he has matured a little since going to Milan. He thrives under pressure of playing against tough opponents, but really hates the stress of the media, especially the English media and that can take away his focus on the game. Hopefully, Rodgers can condition him mentally, to ignore the trashy media and push him to focus on his abilities on the pitch.
£10 mil for Cech, get real! That's a joke. That's 1/4 the cost of Luiz. And Cech probably has as many good years left as Luiz. And Cech is just as influencial as any other player on our team. I'm not saying he's worth £40 mil, but he's definitely worth more than £10 mil. Unless he hands in a transfer request I wouldn't let go of him for anything less than £15 mil.
Goalkeepers in general don't go for much, Buffon was the highest and he was about £30. Neuer was only £20 as well (what a bargain). Add to that fact that Cech is above 30, hence the low price tag.

In my eyes he's worth every penny as much as Neuer but sadly he's aging :( and he's lost his box presence which he never really got back since his head injury. Even with that tho he's still one of the best goalkeepers in the world.

In a way, Thilbaut on Monday kinda reminded me of Young Petr. BTW, do we have a chant for Cech?

:D
£18m at least.
pretty much what bluffmaster said but you shouldnt compare it to Luiz's price. he was well overpaid
hey guys sorry for bothering. i need a help in getting the ticket to arsenal vs city this september and all of them from the official website are sold out. so any of you from london/manchester with extra ticket or know how to get one a.s.a.p. please hit me on my wall. thanks.
i know it's pretty weird asking from the rival fans, but help me im desperate lol
I don't get it...Why Chelsea fans should have the ticket for
arsenal vs city match?
+3
@lettyar - maybe someone frequenting this forum might know of a person selling the ticket? Doesn't necessarily have to be a Chelsea fan.
read the last line my man, it could well mean that i was looking for a guy from london with the knowledge or experience of getting the ticket.
PSG and Monaco are interested in signing Cech for 10m. Both are also open to a season long loan according to the Telegraph.

They also say Chelsea need to get rid of 1 foreign player to comply with PL rules - 2 to comply with CL.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/chelsea/11049787/Paris-St-Germain-and-Monaco-test-Chelsea-with-loan-offer-for-goalkeeper-Petr-Cech.html
If we must acceot 10m for the WC Petr Cech then there should be something which involves either of Falcao or Cavani joining us next summer on a cheaper TF.

I've got to say I find it quite comical the excuses being used by Wenger for not re-integrating Cesc back into Arsenal's squad. Not wanting to upset the balance. Not wanting big players to have to sit on the bench. Not wanting to pay the high fee for him yet they've been quoted as saying they are now ready to spend big. The hypocracy is rife.

Every year Arsenal have a couple players injured long term. Not having the depth to fill those positions is exactly why they've been stuck in 3rd/4th place for a decade. It's all fine with me. They're loss is our gain. As for Arsenal fans reading this, at least post with something intelligent or don't bother. I'm not trying to start a flame war here. I give respect to those intelligent enough to prove me wrong with well thought out explanations.

Cesc >>>>>>>Ramsey,Ox,Wilshere,Diaby

Prove me wrong. Show me statistically or any other way possible how any of those 4 gunners I mentioned are possibly better than Cesc Fabregas?
+2
Wenger's reaction is like crying cold after he enters icing weather in the winter without the cloth on. He will get used to Cesc quality before the middle of the season
Wilshere and Ramsey are 22 Ox is 21 add Ozil and Cazorla and they have more then enough creativity in their mid.
Fabregas would have been a 30M+ luxury more so then a needed signing, Khedira would have been a better singing for their needs so I understand why they were more interested in signing him instead of Cesc.

it was very evident last season we needed a play maker and creativity since Mata left so Cesc was necessary and needed to fill gab for us not so for Arsenal who have enough playmakers but really needed a Khadira type in their midfield so they wont get bullied by the big sides.
Fabregas is Chelsea's best midfielder. He is also better than all of the Arsenal midfielders except for two. Ozil and Ramsey. These two can play at the same level as Cesc or maybe even better. Especially Ramsey.
Right, I'll kindly step aside when I read words that make sense. I asked Bayern fans in January for their honest opinions about who was better, Luiz or Dante, they all answered unanimously Dante. I left it at that.

So far the answers coming from gunners' staff and management is similar in that they think letting Cesc go was the best decision. I think they're going to regret what they did.
Arsenal's front 6 when everyone is fit: Arteta-Ramsey; Sanchez-Ozil-Walcott; Giroud.

They just bought Ozil and Ramsey just had the season of his life, neither will get replaced from the lineup. The weakest player in midfield is probably Arteta, and they're trying to get a more defensively sound player to replace him (Schneiderlin or Khedira)

I think Wenger was right to focus on what they really need, but of course watching him then go on to strengthen a title rival will leave a sour taste.

I also don't know why we're still having this conversation, let Arsenal fans debate about whether they needed him or not.
Fair enough Theo. I just wanted to hear an intelligent debate instead of the same old trolling. We usually get that on Chelsea Chat because we demand it.
Arsene regards Fabregas as only CAM than CM or box to box midfield. I don't think Arsene is going to bench Ozil for Fabregas and even if he used Fabregas in CM, it wouldn't be fair to Ramsey who had a good season and it is complete waste if Fabregas is used as DM.
whereas Chelsea had Ramires and Mikel in the double pivot for many years before Matic and Fabregas came. And even last year, because of lack of creativity, Matic was trying to do all by himself leaving Ramires behind in front of 4. when we lost possession, Ramires would commit foul after foul, making all of us question his ability as footballer. Having Fabregas (or anyone as creative/clinical/determined as him) makes all things more solid as it gives us stability in formation and effective dedication to our players roles.
Simply put, Cesc would not fit properly in Arsenal's system without displacing a few of Wenger's favorites. He would have to focus on playing as a CAM there too. But he fits perfectly with us in the Double Pivot.
See i don't think he will be a fit for double pivot here neither from what we seen in preseason he is perfered to play in front of Ram and Matic in 4-3-3.
hopefully he plays more in a deeper role against lower table side Matic is good enough to protect the back 4 against sides with less fire power in attack that should fix problems we had with those teams
I think our formation is closer to what Barca had Busquets / Xavi / Iniesta (4-3-3) the triangular 3 midfield. Even though on formation ours is 4-2-3-1, when we are playing Oscar is playing in the center of midfield a lot which makes it look like 3 midfield formation with Fabregas coming in late and provides key passes like Xavi at Barca.
well the reason I said he'd be goon in the pivot is what I saw from last game.
since he's playing a bit lower, he tends to get into more space and be able to create more. since the 4 in front of him are quick and aggressive, they draw the defenders with them and open up the play for Cesc to pick them out.

him and Oscar are a good combination because with Oscar playing the middle of the 3 (in a 4-2-3-1) we see Cesc going up more often since Oscar has the tendency to drop a bit. I agree totally about Matic being able to protect the defense on his own, so with that, Cesc has the freedom to push up and add yet another threat on the attack.

Here's a good article about what I mean. It came out before Cesc joined us, but it's a very good analysis (And prediction) of exactly how Mou is using him now.

weaintgotnohistory.sbnation.com/2014/6/6/5785442/cesc-fabregas-tactical-analysis
why would wenger want fabregas when he has thelikesof ozil, cazola, and ramsay? ...... it won't make sense ...... what they need is a strong DM like tiote
Lets be happy that we got a Fabulously Cescy midfielder in his prime for less than the price of Luke Shaw,Less than Sanchez and about the same price as Lallana.

Like Mou rightly pointed out our board killed it this transfer window...we were swift and decisive while others were dillydallying. Mou knew the squad's limitations and addressed it very precisely.

Let rival clubs or coaches or players say what they want...bookmakers have made us favourites to win the league and it is up to us to do just that as anything below that will be an underachievement.
Plz in our dream, we would all like to see Torres leave either on loan .. he needs to move on
ok guys, let's cool it with the Torres posts. we all want him out. we get it. I honestly am tired of seeing his name here and us just complaining.

Seriously, nothing we can do but let the management work it out. they know what they're doing more than we do.
elchico until we lose more quality players and more titles due to the presence of torres
