Mou: "I forget the names of my  goalkeepers now. I just know the big guy with an orange shirt is always phenomenal, whoever plays."

Jamal Blackman
Lol bokiya
I have to say that the player that I am actually most annoyed with on our team right now is Oscar. He has once again, disappeared for the winter.

He has been given plenty of rest so I don't get it.

At this point even his spot with the NT is threatened as Coutinho and Willian would surely start over him with his current form.
+1
There is no threat for Oscars NT team spot...he will still start over both Coutinho and Willian even now

You need to understand that Oscar and Coutinho play for 2 different clubs with different style of football...Also Couthino is currently the main man in Liverpool midfield with lot of freedom.. Whereas Oscar has to take care of other duties to let Hazard play in free role..So he might not look fancy with long range strikes etc.but he is still a valuable player
+3
Yesterday he was a CM, while Hazard had a free role to play wherever. And he did pretty well in possession, creating 1 key chance for Costa.

I'm only annoyed with him against the lesser sides, when he needs to take more responsibility going forward.
Salah was scoring regularly at Basel before joining us and he has carried on scoring with Fiorentina even though he couldn't score for us even against much weaker opponents in the cup competitions he was given chances to impress. Its not difficult to see that José being a pragmatist approaches every game in a different way and this does not allow players to build any rhythm. The only player with freedom in our team is Hazard and the other 2 AMs are supposed to share some part of Hazard's defensive duties while also shoring up the central midfield when Fabregas is dragged forward.

The only complain I can make against Oscar and our midfielders in general is that the never shoot from outside the box. I want to see us score those screamers like Essien, Lamps, Malouda, Ballack and co used to do.
Oscar does a lot of work that doesn't get credited or noticed, he presses magnificently and is our transition from midfield to attack, hes just been very hot and cold in his attacking prowess against the lesser teams that give us space.
If it weren't for some terrible finishing we'd have destroyed West Ham. Oscar was part of some amazing back and forth passing. At times we looked unstoppable and then they'd counter and T-Bo bailed us out. I'd say our weakest link is CB. If Zouma went out injured, we'd have to shift Ivanovic to CB, Azpi from left to right and Luis in at LB.

Its quite a shuffle that would have to take place. And if Bane or Azpi face injury or suspension we'd be using backup that have never started a single game.
+1
Oscar was quietly fantastic yesterday I think. His seem less transition from the right side, to the center, to cm created a lot of openings just through his movement, his passing was on, with his quick flicks creating a lot of space.

Would anyone be interested in starting up a mini fifa tournament like we did a few years ago?

What we did:
We each picked a team (not Barca/Bayern/RM) and we faced each other in group stage games then knockouts and awarded a winner.

If there are enough ppl interested we could do proper groups, it could be fun. Let me know
+2
Over what system?
ps4, but it seems like many aren't interested
I'm in if there's enough people.
Bluff im the one who asked u " is that you" lol
I'm in. I remember doing that a few years ago and it was awesome
Here is a very good fanpost from WAGNH. Its about finding Terry's replacement ASAP.

http://weaintgotnohistory.sbnation.com/2015/3/4/8149385/you-have-to-start-thinking-what-it-is-next

His main points:
- Terry requiring our LB and Matic to cover for his lack of pace
- New style of play
- Should start relying less on him

I was expecting him to play less football this season, instead he has started almost all of our games and one of our consistent performers. I worry about the day when Terry eventually starts his decline.

IMO Mourinho should start transitioning Terry out next season. His eventual replacement should be given more minutes to ease into the team. We are already easing in Zouma and i hope he manage to be half as good as Terry.

We tried Cahill-Zouma pairing in the FA Cup and it was a disaster against Bradford. Finding a replacement for Terry will be a huge task.
Thats just one game, it can still work, i feel Cahill and Zouma is the future for a couple of years. Cahill is often unfairly criticized and in the past two games hes shown his quality but also my exact point that he gets literally no support from his RB (Brana).

Would like to see Brana more at CB but don't think that will happen
I always feel like the biggest point against Cahill is that he constantly backs off faster attackers then looks to block the shot. Outside of that, I think he's great.
He did that once yesterday. luckily sakho shot went wide.
how we missed Cahills Crazy sliding challenges/last ditch tackles?? Yesterday hes at it again.

I have to admit I thought he lost it when he dipped in form, but yesterday he proved that hes still class!
He said: “I had Ruben Loftus-Cheek on the bench and I have to say that, in my opinion, next year, this kid will be a big surprise in the Premier League.

“This season, if I was not playing for the title and we were not playing with the pressure we have, this kid would already be on the pitch.”

Put your money where your mouth is, Mourinho.
+1
if Diego had scored that second goal when he was through on goal, I think we might have seen Ruben come on.

A Matic-Ruben midfield with Cesc ahead them is mouth watering. Two 6-4 beasts behind the Spanish Maestro.
I would love to see RLC play for our first team. I am disappointed that he hasnt had significant chances.

I feel sorry for Ake. I feel that the last 2 games that Matic and Mikel were unavailable was his big chance. Instead Mourinho played a CB in his stead. I think he will be looking to leave at the end of the season.
^Yes he played a CB that is the same age as Ake. And it was a decision that worked.

Ake is too weak to play lone CDM I'm afraid. Could you imagine him going head to head against the likes of Kouyate, Sakho, Song?? He'd get eaten alive.
+1
^Yes physicality was never part of his game. I am hoping that Ake is able to emulate other small DMs like Makelele, Mascherano or maybe even Mason. Perhaps that is expecting too much.

RLC on the other hand is 6'4". He has the physical attributes that we require for a DM. I have high hopes for the lad.
We need to win the epl as quickly as possible so players like him can get some play time.
Lol. I just read that Matic twisted his ankle in the celebrations last Sunday. XD

he'll be fine for the game next week though. so, I'm glad that the players get this rest after such a hectic few days.
so, let me get this straight...he walks away from a leg-breaking challenge like it was a light tickle, but ends up injured while celebrating?

I think we've found Spiderbeast's weakness. Trophy celebrations.

what's he going to injure after we win the league? (aside from Man City hearts, that is)
+6
badum tss....
+2
He'll need some help from JT, King Drog, and Cech on how to celebrate properly. hahaha. which he'll probably need with the amount of silverware we plan on getting.
Check out Stoke's 2nd goal against Everton.

That touch by Lukaku.....LMFAO. You are special indeed..
Completest striker of all time.

Anyone else get really happy when Ramires plays well? An in-form Ramires is imho a boost to title chances AND CL chances.
+9
He was wonderful. This is one of the few games i see the team attacking through the right flank. Hope he maintains this form the rest of this season.
^^^^

Also: Ramires now has more Premier League assists this season (4), than in the two previous campaigns combined (3).
