"Diego Costa could invade an average-sized country all by himself" -- An actual quote from Diego Costa's new Biography that just hit the shelves.
"We had a little tussle on the floor 10 to 15 minutes later. He was up for it, was hungry and his movement and first touch were excellent.

JT on Falcao...

..He wasn't talking about a football match :-)
Salah undergoes medical at Roma

As per reports 1m loan fee with "forced" option to buy next summer for 14m.
So its not really an option lol?
Plot twist

Fiorentina gonna sue him, we forced to pay Fiorentina 14m, joins Real Madrid
Wow I really admire him now

Kompany admits that the Blues deserved to wrench the title back to Stamford Bridge, and believes their winning style should be applauded rather than bemoaned.

"Chelsea were the best team in England by far last season," the 29-year-old said, speaking exclusively in the September 2015 issue of FourFourTwo. "They played attractive football against the teams they know they could afford to play attractive football against. In matches they knew would be harder, they were very efficient. There's an art to that you have to respect."

Kompany #Respect# :)

I don't think there is any dirty way to win the EPL, that too at a canter like Chelsea did. Credit where due. Well said by Kompany. Mourinho did a great job last year.

However, I think the pinnacle of achievement was the way Chelsea won the CL - because that was achieved with lesser players, pure grit and tactical adjustments.

I still laugh at our CL final line up. Its like the worst chelsea team since before abrom. No idea how we won.
^Re-cape of how we won

Tyler - "Drogbaaa!!! they have pulled the rabbit out of the hat once again! Can you believe it? Chelsea will just not let go in the Champions League!! This amazing season has another twist to it!! The man for the big occasion the big man "

Neville - "Didier Drogba!! I'm going to say it now. It is written in the STARS!!

Tyler - "HE'S DONE IT! The greatest night in the history of Chelsea Football Club! European Champions! They've beaten Bayern in their own backyard! They've found the Holy Grail after adventure frought with danger! And, Drogba may never play for Chelsea again, he'll never be forgotten, Gary Neville.”

Neville: “It can never get better than this for English football, in this season the most incredible season. The 19th of May 2012, FIFA, UEFA, stun, FOOTBALLLL!!!!”

Tyler: “But then it was Drogba, and Drogba, and here, Drogba. The last kick, the winning kick. The man who lives for finals. The bigger the occasion, the better the response.”

^ That was epic. I might be theatrical - but reminds me of the scene from Gladiator where Russel Crowe rallies the hapless foot soldiers in the arena against the chariots and bow/arrow wielders. Will be etched in CL history.

Lately CL has been more boring with the usual teams winning. The EPL needs to change things around this year. Maybe this is our year.

Another friendly reminder to participate in the Chelsea vs Arsenal Community Shield Betting Game, I got a bunch of responses from Arsenal fans and not many from Chelsea fans!

Costa needs to start scoring
He will mate...only just got back from holidays hence the rustiness. I predict 30 goals for him this season if he stays injury free.
i just hope he dosent have to go with the hamstring problems and i hope he scores in Europe
Hope he does,My fantasy league team would suck bad if he doesn't lol
Costa is as natural as a striker can get. I wouldn't worry about him so much. I think he is taking it easy and easing into the groove. The beast won't be released until the real season starts.

Sorta same with Rooney - United fans are being very critical of him right now but i think it is just a matter of time before he shifts a gear.
So, now Mourinho is sexist. Some people live off the business of getting offended.

The thought process that people go through to arrive at the conclusion they are desperate to arrive at, is funny sometimes.

Its a thought process of a f***ing moron to reach thst conclusion haha

The word you're looking for is SJW - Social Justice Warriors... more like SJR

since it was Burley who said it, moron is accurate.
One can say something sexist (either due to undertones, the history of the phrases or allusions used, et cetera) without being sexist. I think Mou's comment borders on sexist. There is just too significant of a history of womanhood being tied to cooking and being a "helper".

Do I think this makes Mou sexist? -No. Do I think it was an insensitive and naive comment that only ever had the propensity to be used to launch accusations at Mou? -Yes.

Like I said, it was an insensitive and naive comment for him to make.
@KgB, yes, yes, a 100x yes.

For me the issue is that a woman made a comment and he dismissed it by saying she should be more concerned with cooking for her husband. Obviously, it's not the literal translation. Subtext is there.

Anyways, whether he intended to dismiss her that way is not necessary the deciding factor in determining if something is sexist. I think audience interpretation is always a better yardstick than authorial intention IMHO.

@Raj, thanks for calling people morons because they share a different beliefs and and interpreted something different from you, come on man, uncalled for and not really conducive to discourse.
