How many of you would take KDB back, provided he wants to come back and under 30m? Just hypothetically.

Edit - Also, Hazard's goal:

https://gfycat.com/PositiveRadiantAnemoneshrimp
I'd take him back in a heartbeat.
Not me.

- Price will be way higher than 30m
- I want Mourinho to change formation to 433
- If we stick to 4231, our current setup is fine apart from RW/RB combination imo.
+3
you can't play Hazard, KDB, and Cesc in the same team. You just can't. Not if you want to compete on all fronts.

Our form dipping at the same time that Oscar's gone off the boil is no coincidence. He provides so much backbone to that midfield, covering the weaknesses of both Hazard and Cesc.

If we were to bring back KDB, we'd have to get rid of Cesc. And to me, Cesc in midfield is better for us than KDB would be as a #10.
+4
If oscar went to Wolfsburg, he'd probably get the same stats...so no. lol
+3
^ good points, I largely agree with you. But I'm sure KDB can go play the "No.10" in the 3 man midfield. A midfield with Cesc, Matic and KDB would be good against sides that sit deep and we'd actually have someone other than Cesc and Hazard that can provide service. But in all likelihood, we'd get overrun, so I can see why you'd not accept him.
what Raj and others said...Oscar might even better KDB stats at wolfs.

Considering Jose will be our long term manager..why would he ever bring him back after selling. Never going to happen and its for the good.

KDB is a good player and has bright future...but is he that good to bring him back after selling him for like 18m just year back? not at all.
no need to undermine KDB's skill. It's a shame it didn't work out for him at Chelsea, for whatever reason. If I had the choice I would've offloaded Oscar and kept KDB. I like players with good footbal IQ, something no attacking player has in our team (apart from Fab)
Ethio if oscar left to wolfsburg instead of kdb, you would be saying "i wish we kept oscar and sold kdb"
+1
no I wouldn't, Oscar is my least favorite player in the team. He shows up for the first 3 months of the season then he's garbage for the rest. That's been happening for 3 seasons running now. Because of his early form we got rid of Mata then KDB/Schurrle.

and -no- he wouldn't have the same stats as KDB if he went to Wolfsburg, because it takes football intelligence to have 9 goals and 16 assists (and counting) in a season.
I doesn't reflect well on us if you say that Oscar would have done better in Wolfsburg. Assuming that the German league is almost as good as EPL, it implies we are holding him back. To tell you the truth, I kind of have the feeling that our team is being held back by our own tactics.

On the KdB issue, i knew he was quality. I still remember that assist he gave to Oscar vs Hull(?) last season. That was the kind of pass that we needed. It was a shame that he got injured too early in the season and faded. I was disappointed that he didn't want to compete but I understood coz there were 6 AM's competing for 3 spots that period.

KdB's quality but i am not sure I would take him. He wants a guaranteed spot. He is also very, very ambitious. I think he's the kind that will leave if there are greener pastures.

David Luiz - "Not Me!":

Lol!! We sold 2 times chelsea player of the year...KDB's sale nothing compared to mata.

Like Raj said...if Oscar was sold instead of KDB. It would have been why we sold oscar

Anyways city will buy KDB and he will be back in PL next or season after that...so hold your horses and wait till you declare he is better than our current players

Geekwah - Yes it doesn't reflect well on us if we said Oscar would Better him at wolfs...just like it doesn't reflect well on us saying KBD would have bettered Oscar had he stayed.

You think the assist KDB got against Hull was quality... Then you should probably look at Oscars debut performance against juventus for Oscars quality
We need to change our system to avoid being over-reliant on Oscar, just watch the next time Chelsea have a good game, Oscar will also have a good game. Need him to start delivering more consistently now.

I am more annoyed at Wilian then Oscar lol, Willian may not give the ball away as much but damn, he really is a ghost going forward, no runs, no passes etc. (need more of them assists like last game)
@Bazinga you are missing my point. Like many have said Oscar is most likely as good as KdB when he is at his best. What i am trying to say that why he is playing badly is because of our tactics. I am playing devils advocate here and I am suggesting that the coach is not getting the best out of this team.
Hazard goal and assist for Belgium.
Bale just scored an incredible mentally amazing free kick with his national team... Wonder why they wont let him take more at Madrid other than giving 80 per cent of the free kicks to C-Ro
+1
Bale does take free kicks from the right flank
Whispers on the interwebs that Juve are interested in Oscar. Pogba the other way?
i'd take Pogba any day but Oscar is the only CAM that suits our style
If Oscar goes, I want to see either Christian Erikson or Draxler on our team
Naan, would rather keep Oscar, or if Oscar does end up leaving, have Andre Gomez in. I mean Oscar does fit with our system, and he is he is still young, we should also have Roben Loftus Cheek step up to the A team. 2nd option sell Oscar for no less than 50 millions and get Pogba for free.
+1
What about buying de bruyne back?
People need to be patient with Oscar. He's the epitome of a modern day #10. Strong defensively and very good going forward.

He's just been playing silly amount of games the past few years. It catches up with you.

Hopefully Cutinhino keeps up his form so Oscar can get rest with Brazil, and Cuadrado kicks on so we can play Willian as a #10 and keep Oscar fresh.

He always starts off the season with a bang, but the amount of work Jose expects from him wears him down. Need to give him rest early and often in the season to keep him going all the way to the end.
+1
eh...He's been here 3 years
Apart from the few months all Mazacar shined under RDM, Oscar had performed very poorly and we always used excuse to explain that he played too many games.
Hazard who started all the possible games carries the team and you can rely on him to do the same for next match. But Oscar? No...not on CAM position. If we use 4-3-3 and we put him next to other solid midfielders then I think he will have better games.
Good to see Costa getting a break and rest in after his injury during this 1 week break. We were clearly FATIGUED in many of the recent games hence our shitty play all around.

Hopefully when we come back playing at Stamford Bridge vs Stoke, we'll come back stronger than ever with a clean bill of fitness and health!!
Has Hazard ever won a player of the month ?
Nope, The last CFC player to win it before Costa last year, was Mata in Oct 2012 iirc. I may be wrong. Also, No CFC manager has won manager of the month since Ancelotti in March 2011.
FA Player of the month award is more like Player that you think would be s**t but somehow surprises you with a few goals award.
+8
Lol someone found the secret requirement for that
^^Lol..Bokiya
This seems to be a pretty neat way of evaluating how the game ebbed and flowed, during the 90 mins, and which team was in the ascendancy

https://www.thechels.co.uk/7054-graphic-gameweek-30-2014-15-cumulative-chances-per-minute/

The caveat is that a 'chance' needs to be a very well defined for this to work consistently.
+1
took kane 18 seconds to score on his international debut. cant make it up
You just did. xD
80 (78 to be precise) actually.
+6
lucky goal, keeper flapped at the cross, out of position for the weak header right at the center of the goal.
+1
it may have been the keeper's fault but the way Kane lost his marker is still top notch. You can't help but say the guy is looking like the real deal, and he isn't reliant on pace so he won't have to worry about burnout.
+7
Agree with BluFF. He lost his marker and made his own luck. Made it look too easy.
He's a puzzling stricker because he has no stand out abilities(pace, strength, dribbling....) but his positioning is top notch.
His standout for me is his close control and composure as well as we all know, hes shooting.
he has ability, but i don't think he's going to be a 30 goal a season type of player consistently.

lost his marker? did we see the same goal? he stood there and the defender was just following the play, going with his other defenders. kane finished it off but i'd say sterling did most of the legwork there.
+1
Yes, we saw the same goal. You're just not ready to give him the credit. :)
SIF, sometimes standing still instead of being tempted towards the ball works. Most strikers would get attracted towards the same position the defender was going in. Ofcourse, Sterling had more to do with the goal, like most goals scored by a striker.
Ghan12 let's play our game bro. I'm ready.
@ success I will be ready in 2 hours bro
Aight
Some stuff about Benitez' time at Chelsea has come out recently. JT tried to appeal to Rafa to squash the stuff in the past when he was at Liverpool.

Apparently it didn't work. Glad that fool is long gone! He should never have been chosen but past is past I guess.
+5
- Really is a stain on our history to have been led by the fat waiter.. Apart from loosing Frank, it was probably the worst I ever felt as a chelsea man.
He is probably my favourite liverpool manager I ever watched. Should never have been chelsea manager though..
+5
I appreciate your saying so Sergio. I imagine most Liverpool fans have a much different opinion on Benitez. Every manager's run comes to an end eventually. Itwas poetic justice for us that he was replaced by Jose. :P
Benitez was clearly a Liverpool Favourite , won the CL and his constant jabs at SAF . we loved him . He won y'all a trophy , yeah he wasn't liked by anyone neither did he like Chelsea i guess , but he kinda helped you save that season, Says much about the quality of the manager.
+3
I'm not so sure how much of the season he really saved. He did worse than RdM was doing in the league. I understand why the club appointed him, but by not apologising to the fans he once blatantly insulted, he only invited the hate.
Benitez was brought in for one purpose alone: Get Fernando Torres going.

That was it. He couldn't do that and since he isn't a league winning manager like Carlo, he had to go.

Plus, he was f'ing dreadful on the ears and in his player management.
