Anyone watching the Southampton/Swansea match? The way Southampton pressure the ball scares me a bit. I can tell our players don't do too well under pressure
I hope Schurrle stays. Transfer deadline is approaching. :)
motd highlight/analysis link for chelsea man city anyone??
thanks
Our full backs were poor defensively yesterday. I am especially worried for Azpi. He was easily beaten multiple of times. Hopefully he fully recovers his form in the next few games.

Anyone knows Luis's return date? He was good before he was injured.
^Agree with you. I saw Dave got beaten couple times and City apparently knew about this problem hence they always tried it through Dave's side.
Tbh Dave lacks pace. How many times Navas just shimmy him and run which made him gone
Azpi was getting killed, which was weird to see.

While Ivanovic was randomly passing the ball to City players, which has been so typical of him lately.
Can Cuadrado play in CL?
yes, florentina didn't play in the CL this year.
Is anyone else really mad of the decision by Clattenburg to call it out on Hazard, only for us to see the ball in the back of our net a few seconds later?
Most chelsea fans were pissed off by that decision. Thats the first thing i yelled out when they scored
I think Jose was the most pissed, he was the only one who saw it didn't go out at the time.
So what else is new right?! This happens every game to us - its ridiculous.

Regarding the goal, I think we actually won it back before they eventually scored.
meant to stamp on Can
Chelsea striker Diego Costa has denied he deliberately stamped on Liverpool's Emre Can but admitted to being no angel on the field.

The Brazilian-born Spain international missed Saturday's top-of-the-table 1-1 draw with Manchester City after serving the first of a three-game ban for the incident during Tuesday's League Cup semi-final, second leg victory at Stamford Bridge.

"As far as what happened on Tuesday, the main thing is when I get home I can go home and I can go to sleep knowing that I've not done anything wrong, because I never meant to do that and it was not on purpose," he told British newspaper The Daily Telegraph.

"And you can clearly see that on the video. But it is a suspension. Obviously I feel sad because I'm not going to be able to help the team, to play. But I have accept it and respect it.

"I'm not saying I'm an angel. I'm no angel. You can see that. But every time I play I will play the same way because that's the way I am. That's what I need to do in order to support my family.

"That's my bread and butter, also that's what I need to do for this club and for the fans of this club, for the supporters and for all the people involved in this club."

The 26-year-old has proved an instant hit since joining from Spanish champions Atletico Madrid last year, scoring 17 league goals to help Chelsea open up a five-point lead after 23 matches in the English Premier League.

He has, though, received heavy criticism for Tuesday's actions, which followed accusations of diving on more than one occasion.

Costa was also involved in a spat with American goalkeeper Tim Howard in August after Everton boss Roberto Martinez accused him of taunting Seamus Coleman following a Chelsea goal.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has accused television pundits of tarnishing his striker's reputation and has shunned talking to the media since the club failed to overturn the violent conduct suspension on Friday.

Costa, who will also miss fixtures at Aston Villa and home to Everton, defended his actions and said he would not change his competitive streak.

"On the pitch I transform myself, I really, really want to win," said Costa, who is named after Argentine World Cup-winning great Diego Maradona.

"You have to see how many times have I injured someone. Never. I've never injured another colleague, another player on purpose. I'm not going to change the way I play because I got banned for a few games now."

I think what is really important in that interview is his very last lines. How he's never injured another player on purpose. If true (obvs I don't know) then it says quite a lot about Diego.
In my opinion, it isn't about that incident in isolation. It is about his attitude and style of play, I must say if that doesn't change, then he should expect more bans in the EPL.

I mean, he just came to the EPL in less than 6 months and he has already built this reputation, He has a bit of confronting opposition players, snorting out at them etc. Things like that dont make people have good opinions of you, whether you are right or wrong.

The EPL is highly biased and unbalanced against foreign players in terms of morals and actions (suarez, Diouf etc), so he needs to tone down his fiery nature.
Post the article link next time mate.

Costa's interview about how he will npt change gave me goosebumps. He is so right about so many things

We have to give José and our players credit for a very professional performance yesterday. The game was pretty even in the first half with Chelsea 49% ppossession and 2 shots on target while City had 51% possession and 3 shots on target. The secondvhalf stats can be misleading because most people will not take into account the fact that having played 120minutes of high intensity football on Tuesday it was only logical for Chelsea to sot back and hence allow City more possession. Also looking at both benches Chelsea hardky had any game changer and for all of City's possession in the second half we hardly looked like conceding.

I think it is erroneous to conclude that City were absolutely looking to win this game because I hardly saw Fernando bomb forward he was as conservative as any DM would be.Also whenever Navas crossed the ball into our box there was hardly a City player to take advantage with the only exception of the mistake by Courtois which led to their goal. For all their attacking intent Pellegrini was never comfortable enough to play 2 up front as is his custom and Milner on the flanks hardly made any attacking contribution but was more of a workman to annul our counter attacking threat. City's conservatism nullified our counter attacking plan imo

Kudos to all our players for a fantastic 210+ minutes of football over 4 days against the top teams. At least we did not subject their players to such physicality as they resorted to whenwe visited the Etihad. Yesterday they had two yellow cards carrying on with their dirty fouls while we had none. At this point Zouma is looking an absolute bargain compared to a certain Mangala and a fast tracked FA disciplinary action didn't have the desired effect and it was quite refreshing to see RLC, Christensen and Ake on the bench against the defending champions.
