‘If I sign a contract, maybe there won’t be enough money left to get Romelu!’. ‘I’m kidding. Whoever comes in, we’ll be ready for the new season.’

- Hazard
always wanted Lukaku to be a successor of Drogba ( his icon ) but its his clause thats annoying
"Everyone know what my preferred club is, there's nothing to hide.”

“Money is good, but I'm grateful for what I have right now and I have other things to look forward to, like playing the next World Cup. I know that I have a chance to be called if I'm playing well and at a high level, that's something I want."

"If I have to move to another city or another country than Spain, I don't think I'll go, I'd rather stay at Chelsea. If the club wants to sell me, they know where I want to go."
“I know Chelsea wants to sell players, but I told them, I have two years left in my contract and I won't go somewhere else just because they want so. I will only sign for another club in Europe, they know that. Otherwise I'll stay with my current contract.”

“I have a contract and no intention of leaving, but if there are changes to be made that might reduce my chances, if the coach won't count on me anymore or is to give space for another striker, I know that I'll have to leave. But only to where I'm willing to.”

-Diego Costa

So its very clear that Costa will either stay or go to Athletico. I would say its 50-50 now.

Gerizmann --> United
Costa or Lacazette ---> Athletico
Lukaku/Morata -> Chelsea if Costa leaves.

+3
I pray to god Costa doesn't leave. Strikers are hard to find these days.
Yeah strikers that fit your system and respond really well. Hard to say how Lukaku will respond to Conte system. Although if Griez leaves, I could see Atleti moving back in for Costa.
This is not good news, Atletico can't pay crazy money for him smh. Costa will end up leaving for like 20m in the last year of his contract.
if he goes this season maybe for 50m...next he would go for like 30m max
In my own perspective from what Costa said, I think what really transpired between Costa, Conte and Chelsea's board was that he wanted to leave for A-Madrid in the middle of the season and Chelsea was wondering why would you leave in the middle of the park? Chelsea looked for the replacement in Lukaku but it wasn't successful, big money came from China, Costa seemed not to be interested because he had set his mind to Spain. Along the line, Atletico bought another player when they couldn't resolve Costa scenario. We could also deduce from what Conte said that he only wanted players that are willing to stay because the scene was really distractive to be candid.

I still want Costa to stay though
In this market he's easily a £100m @Baz
It will be hella funny if we sell Costa for 40 millions and get Lukaku for 70 millions. Lmfao
Athletico will get around 90 for Griezmann. We should deamand at least 70 for Costa.
Savag- Value does not matter...Athletico wont play 100m and if player wants to leave it wont help since we dont have release clause
You can't even compare Costa with Morata. Costa is a proven and experienced striker while Morata has potential but I don't know if he's good enough to lead the line for Chelsea.
From your own post he says as long as he's the main man he's happy. So Atleti need to pay his value.. Maybe 10-15m less because we've had good deals with them in the past. But £85m at least.

I hope to God we don't buy Lukaku
morata has 20 goals in all comps from real's B team. benzema has 19
Lol, 85mil for Costa, you guys are funny. Remember Costa is 28 years old, if he was 24-25 yes but at his age no way. Best case scenario you guys get 40mil for him.
29 y/o Higuain went for 75m not too long back
+2
Atletico are not a rich team and that's the only place he wants to go. They will pay less than the 32m Chelsea paid for him.
@Vaaz, Where talking about Atleti here, do you really think they will pay that much?
Just remembered he's 28 haha. Yeah that price seems weird now
Morata has 20 goals but most of his goals have come against smaller oppositions. He only gas 2 goals against the top 6 in La Liga. But I do agree that Benzema didn't do any better.

IMO, he still needs a couple of seasons before he can become the main striker at a club like Chelsea.
wow.. another crucial ref mistake. Gunners surely played well, but come on - first goal is just ridiculous.

first semi bad perfomance from Kante i´ve personally witnessed, i feel kinda ambivilant about this result hmmm..

Matic was so awful that Kante had to work extra and he looked bad.
Yeah, that was handball, plus the uncertainty of the offside rule...You were on the losing end of the decision for sure. Video replay would've made the right decision to disallow the goal completely disregarding the offside event.
Ok who was premature in saying Luiz won bla bla bla including FA Cup... Never write off anyone until its done. Anyways congrats guys, you had a great season!!
Luiz @Chelsea over 4 seasons.

Premier League: 2016–17
FA Cup: 2011–12
UEFA Champions League: 2011–12
UEFA Europa League: 2012–13
+6
Yeah Luiz already won the FA Cup beating Liverpool.
He didnt play, did he?? My bad then
He missed finals because of injury..but played all games prior to that.
We lost on purpose so wenger stays
Hopefully...imagine if he leaves now saying i can leave on a high after winning record no. of FA cup's
Arsenal fans won't see it as a high as they ultimately missed out on top 4, they have higher ambitions than the FA Cup now as they've won it so much. I think he will stay but don't see Alexis staying.
Ok normally after a defeat I look forward to the next game to bounce back but there's no more game...

What's the meaning of life? lmao

Looks everyone is copying the 3-4-3 going forward. Conte need to find a new solution
Well we did start the run for u guys, so it's only right that we are the ones who had to put an end to it right ;)

But nah Conte hasn't even got all his players for his system, and he's still won the PL... look at Pep in city now, who will be under enormous pressure to now deliver. Conte will have that leeway
3-5-1-1.

Need better midfielders for it to work though.
-----------------------Thibo--------------------------

---------------Van Dijk ----Luiz---Cahill-------------

Azip----Kante---Cesc---Verrati/Bakayoko----Alonso

-------------------Hazard----------------------------

--------------------------Costa----------------------

I think we leaked too many goals in last 15 games. Its a clear indication of weakness in the team. As good as they have been this season. i can see them getting exposed next year.
+2
This same team will struggle to make top 4 next season. But I'm not worried because Conte is hungry for wins and trophies and will push the board to sign players.
I am not convinced with Azpi as a WB. He is a much better CB. Replacement of Matic is a must.
alright lads.. time to move on! lets not forger our aim for this season was to finish in top 4. We won the league and got to final.

Congrats to arsenal, fully deserved the win.
Time to change DP everyone? it was a great season and very good send-off to legend by winning league with record win's

Blue is the color...Cheers!!
+1
Now i see why we might need Van Dijk next season. I doubt this back-3 can give same performance again next season.

Kante needs a better partner next season...I hope its Verrati, but i think it could be Bakyoko?
