Hazard is starting this game according to Conte, I think lineup will be;

Cabellero
Rudiger Christensen Cahill
Zappa Cesc Baka Kenedy
Musonda Michy Hazard
i think thats the team he should go with , but i feel like one of Pedro/Willian might start
I think fans judge the transfer window too soon. Last season we were pissed when we signed the likes of Alonso, Luiz and brought back Moses but we ended up winning the league with all 3 of them playing vital roles.
Barca fans were like damn Paulinho? But seems like he could be an engine in the Barca midfield.

Ethan Ampadu, 17, in line to make Chelsea debut in cup - Antonio Conte
We need to field in at least a Luizesque hair a game.
Who the fook is that guy
Is Ampadu second name of Musonda or what?
We signed him this season Exeter and he is CB or CDM ...looks like David Luiz brother
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ethan_Ampadu
we signed Hazard's brother, then Pedros , now Luiz
What is happening
Has ox won a game yet lol

According to Heskey it was like he wasn't even playing in the game. lol
For that money Liverpool could have got a good CB like maybe Rudiger or someone who was available in the market...why would they need OX when they signed Keita for next season and Couthino is staying.

Dumb decision by both player and the club. They have bigger issues to fix than buying back-up CM
Agree that for 35-40 millions LFC could have easily signed a good CB from serie A and been much stronger than what they are right now. If keita joins LFC and Coutinho stays at Liverpool then Ox wont even make the bench of LFC as a CM.
There's no way you can know if they made a mistake after just 3 weeks
@SIF: signing OX might not be a mistake for LFC but not getting a CB is 100% a blunder. They could have even loaned out Zouma from Chelsea for god's sake.
The point is if they didnt want to spend the money they tried to spend on VVD to acquire him in the future, they could have used Ox's money to buy a good CB. I am sure they would have gotten a good CB for 35-40 millions and lower wages than Ox's.
SIF - The point is can they do without OX this season? Yes totally. But can they do without a good CB? No they cannot.

So yes it was dumb to invest the money on something you dont need right now especially Couthino staying and signing Keita for next season.

Question for you guys in NA. I used to buy shirts from the US megastore (I'm in Canada) and it was fine for Adidas cause it allowed me to customize the name and number. However, with this season I'm redirected to Canadian Nike website which doesn't seem to give me an option to customize. Where did you guys get your shirts?
Just my personal opinion.. shirts are too costly, and it's just to sponsor big companies so they get their money. I mean, if you REALLY love Chelsea, then maybe get one.. but personally I would rather get 3-4 nice classy tees over a Chelsea shirt. Doesn't make you any less of a fan. But it's on you ultimately.

As for actual helpful info I have nothing lol
but... if fans stop buying shirt who would keep sponsoring the team?

@savagecab, I buy a home shirt a year as part of my collection.

I will regard our start to the season as good given the scenario we faced. We started the season without Diego Costa and Eden Hazard who were two of our main attacking threats last season. In addition we also missed Matic and were trying to integrate Bakayoko who was initially injured. We have already played two games out of the top 6 teams and are only 3 points behind City and united. Yes both manchesters have scored much more goals than us but i wont worry about it as we have missed hazard and Morata is also just getting used to the PL. This Bakayoko guy so far has been impressive. When he and kante start having a good understanding of each other and the backline, then my god it's gonna be hard to score a goal against Chelsea. If we win against Stoke and City then it will turn into an excellent start. City will be a good test for both Chelsea as well as city. Hopefully Hazard will be at his best before we face City.

Absolutely nothing to worry about. At this stage of the season only novices read too much meaning in the league table. We are just 3 points behind and the table only becomes meaningful in October and November so still early days. We've had to face more quality opponents than the teams above us so far and after City in a fortnight we'll get our own run of "easy" games to build momentum.
Considering the poor transfer window we had too, its not bad. Board need to bring out the check book and sign a star player, I accept Morata but that's only cus Costa is gone. Man Utd and City make plenty of marquee signings, we just really haven't done enough to win the title, hoping we do well in CL, but Conte and the players need to be up for the game. Can't have anymore spineless performances like vs Arsenal.
Agreed. I don't see any reasons to worry or panic. 3rd right now sitting 3 points behind the first two? That's not too bad.
especially after playing two London derbies, everton and Leicester city in 1st 5 games...3 points behind leaders is not bad at all.
Chelsea's first 7 games definitely among the toughest in the league. Only Everton have a tougher schedule in the top 7.
if we can get a draw or a win vs City , i think we will be in a great position
Nothing less than win would work...we cant afford to draw against rivals at home if we are going to challenge for title

Conte's WDL record against Wenger:

1-1-3

(Counting community shield, but discounting the friendly)

Probably the lowest win % of a post-Roman Chelsea manager against Arsenal, excluding Scolari and AVB.
Why u excluding the other two? Tho i do think Scolari was good against us
Irony is that Conte gave Wenger the blueprint to achieve that record. Imitation they say is the highest form of flattery and honesty Conte should feel superior he more or less helped Wenger get a new contract at the end of last season.
3-0 loss when we didn't find our system is ok tbh. And so is the friendly i.e. Community Shield. Only loss which was a blow was FA final.. but Wenger ended up staying, so maybe it ain't that bad after all

If you include only competitive matches it's 1-1-2 and that's a pretty even score
One positive: Baka's ball carrying ability is coming back - Reminds me a bit of Yaya the way he strides across the pitch. Have good feelings about this kid.
+1
You could already see him getting better in the Leicester game, he just made more than a couple careless passes which overshadowed a lot of good work he did.
I really wished he had started. I struggle to see why Conte chose a 3 man midfield for yesterday.
1st game of the season Cahill sees Red. Today he returns back suspension. Luiz is like i need some rest too. So Azip next?
as much as i love to hate Gazza , he didn't do anything silly , DL was stupid and reckless to do that tackle and worst part was it was needless
Azpi better watch out
Thank god we have 4 solid CBs (not counting Cahil as solid).
