So happy about the 40mil shirt deal, that puts us only behind United in the PL. I was puzzled as to why we were only on an 18mil a year contract with Samsung. Also very happy that Turkish Airline won't be on our shirt.

Biggest shirt sponsorship deals in football-

I'm also happy about the new deal. Its possible that cfc thought more people would buy jerseys with "samsung" huge across the chest, instead of something less recognizable, which is worth some money.
I'm surprised about the Bayern/Barca/Madrid deals listed above. Manchester United have the highest shirt sponsor deal in the world at 52mil, at 40mil we're second.
Am I the only one that feels the Yokohama on our shirt looks pretty s**t lol.

But as long as the money rain on us :D
Except Turkish sponsor, I am ok with any sponsor.
My 5 Bold Predictions:

1. Ramires will step up and fill the shoes of Matic
2. Harry Kane will not score
3. The Diego Costa- Cesc Fabregas partnership will be key
4. Mourinho will perform his magic again
5. 2-0 Chelsea (Ivanovic, Costa)

:)

Those seem more biased then bold lol.
lol kinda, i think harry kanes tricks will be well known by us now
Drogba will score.

*not a prediction, just a fact.
List of top 5 teams who have won most major cup finals in last 2 decades.(Charity Shield, Community Shield, UEFA Super Cup, etc not included)

1. 16 – Chelsea (won 12)

2. 14 – Manchester United (9)

3. 12 – Liverpool (7)

4. 10 – Arsenal (5)

5. 5 – Middlesbrough (1)

Seems like we do have some history to show now :P

Is the first number how many finals we've played in?
Yes it is.Played 16 won 12.
Yes 16 cup finals played and won 12
Capital One Cup not included either?
To all the people saying we got the deal because of our "Sugar Daddy" Roman, and saying it's all because of the money..then explain Man City have no significant growth in fan base despite winning the league twice the last 3 seasons and they were exposed for dodgy deals. Seven years since the Sheikhs arrived, yet they have only qualified for CL football 4 times and still haven't made it past the last 16. Money doesn't guarantee success, CFC are driven, ambitious and efficient.

Not trying to take away from your achievements here but you do realise how many years Chelsea's been in the CL compared to City right? It's a totally different approach to the league that takes many years to adapt to. The first few years they didn't get out of their group, that's already changed, give them a chance. Next season will be really interesting for City especially, with the new rules that are coming into play. It'll make it bloody tough for Arsenal as well.
City is pretty young in terms of achieving anything mate. Not long ago City were promoted to the Championship. City's global fanbase is very nouveau, if you will. Takes a lot of time. City is far behind in several ways.

If you want to compare limitless monetary capabilities, compare with Madrid of last decade.

Chelsea have a 5 or 6 year head start. City have done well to rise so quickly. Both had fairly humble beginnings. And very similar stories as to how they became winning teams.

Being shoved in pot 4 and handed a group of death each year as a result probably didn't help. Hell there's no guarantee any EPL team would've qualified from those groups, they've had some ferocious group stages: Bayern twice, Dortmund, Napoli etc the list goes on. All that is awesome match experience for future CL campaigns. And next year they won't be in pot 4 so much less likely to draw a group of death.
Lets not judge city or other teams.

Lets just look at what we have achieved....Chelsea in CL in since 2003/04 season (5 semi-finals , 2 finals , 2 round of 16) dint take much time to adopt considering managers got sacked left and right every season.

I think it has something to do with Jose's first stint when he built that fighting mentality which is required to win big games against big teams...no matter how many managers changed, but the fighting mentality remained with likes of Terry , Lamp and Drogba.

In CL nobody can escape playing big teams....We have faced Barca 12 times in CL and have a better head to head record (4 win, 3 lose , 5 Draws)

I think city just need a good manager like Simeone to take them to next level in CL...they have players, but not the right manager at the moment.
I have to agree with bazinga. And tomikato makes a good point too, city got their new owner later and also, they were just promoted to the championship. Chelsea on the other hand, came in a little bit earlier, and had a History of being in the premier league and had won things before.

But aside from that, man city have been unlucky, having to deal with barca and bayern early in the CL, but unfortunately, CL doesn't seed, but rather draws randomly. When they have been eliminated early the past few years, everybody that knows football knows man city were around the 5-8th best team in Europe, but they dealt with the 4-7th team early. Arsenal have been a little bit unlucky, but don't list napoli as a bad luck draw, and nobody will end up listing Monaco as a bad luck draw. If arsenal want to show they are a real top 8 team in Europe, they need to get there by beating Monaco and advancing.

The CL is why I can't choose who to root for to be top 4, because of love a highly achieving underdog like Southampton or spurs to make it, but I know cfc, man city, arsenal, and man u have the best chance at advancing

This ended up being random thoughts, but bazinga was right in saying people shouldn't be mad at or jealous of cfc, because no matter what the odds are, we have really helped boost the PL coefficient in the past 5 years.
Eegay, the CL doesn't draw randomly mate and that's been a big problem for them. They have pot allocations and then they randomly draw one from each pot to decide the group ie 1pot1, 1pot2, 1pot3, 1pot4 = a CL group. Now for the past decade or so Chelsea, Arsenal and United have been pot 1 teams. That's because the CL pot designations are determined by years of consistency in the competition. Man City being brand new to it have been designated to pot 4... That means that regardless of anything else they have to be drawn with a pot1 and pot2 opponent each group. The real insult here to City is that United due to years of success, would walk back in as pot 1 seeds if they qualified for CL and City would still be pot 4 even if they'd won the league.

That all changes next season. As of next season teams that qualify for the CL will be designated their pot seeding by their recent achievements and not the length of their participation in the competition. This is likely to hurt Arsenal's group chances and improve City's. Let UA see how City does with an easier CL group and less big games all grouped together, testing their squad depth to the limit.

i dont understand how the fa doesnt kiss our @$$, only team to represent those mugs in europe

For a country so steeped in democracy its a wonder why its most popular sport is run by a dictatorship. Its being run into the ground BTW. The FA are on the verge of bankruptcy. They might be forced to sell Wembley, or at minimum the naming rights. They've left this game in a terrible state of affairs.

Wait, was there only one leg in the Europa round of 32? Is that why Liverpool played 120 min?
1st leg was last week. Both games ended 1-0 to the home team.
Wow! Forgot about that. Busy week for me.
Can this liverpool team take few points of city on Sunday?? Even a draw will help.
no. Augero and Silva will shred them to pieces.

Joe Allen and Henderson against Yaya Toure? lol. get out.
They haven't lost a game in the PL sInce mid december. Hope the run goes at least on more match. ;)
It's at Anfield. They always have a chance there.
They usually turn up against top team
