Chelsea approach West Ham about signing Andy Carroll on permanent deal.

Caroll was not on bench for FA cup game and it looks like it happening. I can see Conte leaving next summer irrespective of us finishing in Top-4 or not. I dont know how we keep screwing-up after every great season and get the managers sacked season after.

Kind of signing that would push Hazard and Thibo not to extend contract and look for a move to bigger club. Dark days ahead!
+1
I'd be pissed if we sign Caroll and sell Michy
I think Chelsea should loan him for 1-2 years before selling him. No comments on Caroll.
Michy on loan to Sevilla. I hope we dont sign Carroll even on loan
If we sign Carroll then our now a joker of a club with clueless board.
I would of been fine if he was used as a 3rd striker but if we pay 30£ M and lose Michy ( who is the better player ), it's horrible business, we need more players no point in replace okayish players with unreliable players
Question - If Donkey Alonso and Moses crosses cannot get part 1st defender how will it ever reach Caroll? Just doesn't make sense
+1
Here's my crazy Fifa lineup:

tbo
willian-dave-christensen-rudiger-alonso
kante-cesc/baka
hazard
sanchez-morata

I really think Willian could play the exact role Moses has been filling, and I think he could potentially do it better. Willian's biggest weakness is being too slow on the ball, so having him as a wingback would take most of his touches out of the final third (where speed of play is key) and into the middle third (where it is ok to be calm and retain possession).

Cesc when we are playing against buses and Baka against other top teams.

FIFA!
I think Barkley can play Baka's role better. He might not be as physical as Baka but he can be the link between our defense and attack. I have seen him do this many times for Everton.
I would like to see Willian in midfield, under Jose he played Cam briefly and he was really good at it and he deserves to play he has been our best player for the last 3 or 4 game
Man U verge of signing Sanchez, Chelsea are now interested

LMAO our board is too late again, it's like Lukaku situation all over
More reasons for Conte to be pissed off, if we did get him Hazard going to be on 400K and TBo on 200K that breaks the whole system
Agent games.
+2
No offer has been made and like what's the point especially since UTD have already offered him the contract
No point, Guy do your magic
I don't believe for a bit that we're interested in Sanchez. There's no way we can meet his wage demand.
Chelsea has most likely done nothing, like Liq said, agent games.

Conte is already pissed, hes pretty much as good as gone at the end of the season.
I am not sure why you all are saying Conte is gone at end of this season. Even if we dont win anything, I dont think RA will sack conte. Even Conte knows how current market is and how difficult it is get players.
Regarding Sanchez, his wage demand will be the only problem. Right now our highest paid player is Hazard with 200k. If we are to sign Sanchez, he would want close to 300k.
Taking the history of our club in last 2 decades I think Conte will be gone after this season.
^ I feel so as well especially if Allegri is willing to come. He seems a more expansive coach and has got his team to 2 CL finals. Unless Conte wins a trophy he'll probably be gone by end of the season.
I know we have a history of sacking managers. But I think Conte will be given chances.

@Naija If Allegri cant win trophies then sack him too? Then sign Pep and sack him too if he cannot win? Sacking managers is not a solution. I think RA would have given Jose chance if he hasnt lost dressing room and we weren't closer to relegation. Right now Chelsea is not in a bad situation. We wont win league. But we are fighting for all other competitions.
Over the last two seasons Conte has done pretty well. Even this season has not been bad as we are only 3 points behind ManUnited and still in a good position to finish in top 4. We have reached the semi in Carabao Cup with a decent chance to reach final. Still alive in CL. However it can still turn out to be a real bad season. Finishing 5th on the table, losing to Barca in CL and getting knocked out by Arsenal in Carabao cup all are still posible.
BBC- " It is understood the wages of Sanchez would have put him ahead of all City's star men, something the club decided they would not do."

If City cant afford his wages. I dont think Chelsea can and also he does not deserve to earn almost double the wages of our best player Hazard.

This makes it very clear why Chelsea would not even try to get him. Paying 40-50m to Arsenal is not a big deal. But paying his insane wages is because it will break the structure. i dont blame the club for not going after him.
+1
Yeah, it'd be stupid.

Imagine you're the one carrying a company for years, being one of the top earners by merit.
Then they attract a new employee who earns twice as much as you do, but hasn't proven to be worth anything more than you are.

Hazard at Chelsea, KDB & David Silva at City etc. would all be disgruntled. Attracting one person with much higher wages will inevitably lead to unhappy employees or an overall rise in wages, which would be extremely costly.
United offered 455K to Sanchez obviously they have to put in something special considering the player would prefer City and Pep over playing left back anyday
^Are you a big dailymail fan? or are you saying that because it suits your agenda against United? 350k per week according to more reliable reports and even that might not be true.
LMAO at city fans thinking every player wants to play for them under any circumstances after one great season. It's clearly Sanchez's agent who opened the door for other clubs so I'm guessing Sanchez has a say in this. Maybe because he's not a necessity at City and they won't be paying him enough and won't guarantee him a starting position etc.
+4
@ERFANERI if you don't think every player wants to play for City and Pep then you are delusional. The wages you are willing to offer him shows that you can't match City's prestige and class! If United had class you would offer him less than what City offered and Sanchez would choose United over City but its the other way around! All the players around the world want to play for City and Pep just read the papers Fred from shakhtar is the latest and there are many players when on international duty ask about Pep and City and his tactics Bernardo Silva's international fellow striker is one example but there are many more.

"City fans thinking every player wants to play for them under any circumstances after one great season" Every full back we signed over the summer Danilo Walker and Mendy Chelsea was interested as well but somehow they all chose City and this was over the summer before our so called "great season" any idea why? let me tell you its not wages think harder

"its clearly Sanchez's agent who opened the door for other clubs so I'm guessing Sanchez has a say in this." Are you serious man? LMAO ... United called his agent and said look we can't offer you the flamboyant total football City can offer you we can't offer you titles as City is running away with it and you are very likely to play left back but hey we will pay you 455K per week something City won't so choose us com' on we are DESPERATE

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NpGUwyCZfSY

Michael Owen (former United player) in that video said "if i was an attacking player i would go to any of the other teams than Manchester United"

Rio Ferdinand (former United player):“If I am going to he honest... If he has got option of going from Arsenal to Manchester City or Manchester United. At the moment Manchester City is the place for him to go. He has got more opportunities to win trophies there (City).”

Like it or not but gone are those days when players wanted to play for United because of its prestige and class, because its got none at the moment. This Sanchez saga is a perfect example of that and you are naive if you can't see that.
+1
You mad we're hijacking your deal? lmao.
If you think United has no prestige or class you're the one who is delusional. sure City are the more attractive prospect for many players this season (not every player) but if they don't give the player the assurances he wants, he'll look at the second best option in the league which is United (because of the "prestige and class" AND the glorious history which your club doesn't have).
Dude, the argument that United can no longer attract big names has been proven wrong by our board many times already.Go do your research. Chelsea are the reigning champions, The names you mentioned chose City over Chelsea for the EXACT same reasons Sanchez might choose us. (more money, more game time, a world class manager)
Michael Owen and Hargreaves? LMAO I didn't even bother watching the video. You clearly need to change your sources for football news and analysis. (455k is the b.s. your sources are giving you)
as for Rio, I fully agree with him. City is the better option in terms of the chance to win trophies this season obv. But there are many other factors in play and money is just one of them.
btw, what makes you think we're desperate? the title is gone, there is no pressure to go too far in the CL this season and we're probably gonna get Griezmann in the summer. We're after Sanchez only because when a player like him is available you have to try to get him. We didn't even want to do any business during Jan. It's an exceptional case.
+1
I don't think anyone is mad about not going to Sanchez for numerous reasons, he fits in better with united, prima donnas
+1
City fans: “we are Prestige and class”

Rest of the world: “You mean money”

City fan: “Muh Prestige and class”

Btw, tell me how many champions league and titles does “prestige” have? Has prestige even been in the champions league semis once in their entire history? Lmao
^ Prestige doesn't play their forwards as left backs and their attacking midfielders as centre backs and their centre backs as goalies next to De Gea against a "mighty" team like Southampton ;)

Prestige doesn't constantly moan about referees, money, injuries, luck, other managers, schedules, referees, money, injuries, luck, other managers, schedules....
So it seems like United are set to sign Sanchez from Arsenal with Mkhi going the other way. The wage United are willing to offer Sanchez is ridiculous.
Papers are reporting 455K per week lol i guess they were paying 36 year old Ibrahimovic 350K, Sanchez should be on 455K at least. Signs of Desperation from United and Mou.
Arsenal close to sign Aubameyang and Malcom

United close to sign Alexis Sanchez

Chelsea interested in Andy Carroll :P
+1
Maybe, but the club look at the expense of a player as wage plus transfer fee. Getting him on a free and paying bananas wages is better than paying full value and paying him 299k per week or whatever, you have to admit. :)
Bayern Munich coach Jupp Heynckes has called Manchester City's Kevin De Bruyne "the best player in Europe" and questioned the money paid by Manchester United for Paul Pogba in 2016.

Damn every time KDB and Salah do things what they are doing right now. It hurts! Such a costly mistake and now its very hard to find and develop such players. Next transfer window will be very crucial for rebuilding the club for next 5 years.
+3
Dude he's gone and he is not the best player in Europe.
+5
He's just trying to put the blame else where lol. These players have been gone for a while now. They aren't the reason we are currently under performing. Cut this bs out kiddo
+3
Wow so cute.....Just the other day i thought someone was whining about missing Costa and playing blame games ?lol

But, we should not miss KDB , Lukaku , Mata and Salah because mistake was done by lord?

That a straight definition of hypocrisy all day.I know it hurts but accept and move on.

Thank god it wasn't Conte who sold them all...you guys would have eaten him by now LOL! The post was mainly to bring all those hypocritical people out who waste no time in jumping on Conte after every bad result. Good to see them still alive :P
+1
i'm sorry mate but you are very childish. cheers!
+1
The only player I miss is Mata.
+1
Considering Ronaldo is 32 and not in form and Messi is South American, at the moment Jupp is right, KdB is THE BEST in Europe, i don't say this because I'm being biased but this is an opinion of many coaches and pundits now.
+2
Gapha - I agree and i'm happy to be childish to stop Hippocrates
KdB is brilliant, but he isn't even the best Belgian, so forget about Europe.
+2
At this moment Hazard is good, but KDB is clearly even better.

And Messi lives in Europe, but I assume Heynckes means 'originating from Europe'. In which case he'd be right IMHO.
+1
Eden suffers from the team :(, this formation expects too much for Hazard to create anything, while KDB improved from last year into a complete cm, his work rate are amazing
+1
@Jeroen: I was talking about Fellaini.
+4
I somehow doubt he means 'originating from Europe' or he would have called him the 'best European player'. He obviously means the best player in the European Leagues.

Anyway Dembele makes De Bruyne and Hazard look like children and the best player in Europe is Harry Kane.
I agree with Paddy ...Harry Kane is best in PL and maybe 3rd or 4th best in Europe behind Messi , Neymar
Conte has mentioned fatigue as an excuse for draws in recent games. I don't understand how team will handle when CL is back. I have seen some players especially Hazard not able to play 2 games in 3-4 days.
I don't understand why we aren't signing more players, our squad is thin as it is and Conte has expressed his frustration, why our board don't understand this ?, another injury crises and we miss out on top 4
I think they re waiting for the next Manager ,If Conte is leaving next season then that might block us from signing until its confirmed by the new manager
He cant give that excuse...Neither can Pep , Jose , Klopp or anyone.

Willian , Michy and Pedro good enough rest before facing Norwich and yet they played like Donkey's. No excuses for anyone here.

I hope Barkley can take his chances and show bench to few under performing players.
Think most of the top teams have this problem. I remember Liverpool playing 8 games in December.
To be frank, didn't expect Salah to do this well in the prem. Was expecting him to hit like 12 goals max this season but he's been absolutely amazing.

I expected Kane to be up there on the top followed by Lukaku, who is underperforming, should have at least 18 goals by now. I expected Morata to hit 15 goals this season and seems like he's trying his best to prove me right.
Salah has improved massively since he left Chelsea. After watching initial few games for Liverpool, I thought he hasn't improved much and he was wasting many chances. But then he got adapted and turned things around.
Every attacking player will always do well when not burdened with too much defensive duties.

I never get why such talents are forced to be cautious in attack and defend in equal measure when there are at least 7 other bodies who can do that including the GK.

This is the reason Hazard may never be at his full potential with us bcos when he's not asked to track back his other attacking players are tasked to do so which leaves him with less help up front.
Agree with Naija. If Hazard played for attacking managers like Klopp amd Pep then he will probably score 20 goals in PL in a season.
He'd score 20 goals here too, if we did not have donkeys in midfield. If you take out Alonso's goals, hardly anyone apart from the attacking players has scored for the team. We have a bunch of non-scoring midfield options, which puts too much load on Hazard.
Yes he would score 20 goals for chelsea butnot under Conte or Mourinho.
So Arsenal will play like elites against us but get pummeled by Bournemouth? Lol I don't know if this says little about Arsenal or does this mean we seriously need help lol #buyMahrez
No no no.Bournemouth was able to dispatch a midtable team unlike us.
in the cup match, Bournemouth dominated the match for majority and were unlucky to lose the game but the league match we absolutely outplayed them and were unlucky not to score more goals
we are s**t vs anyone outside of top 6
