Couple of interesting tidbits from the tabloids:

Chelsea hope striker Samuel Eto’o and Belgian playmaker Eden Hazard will be available [for the second leg vs Atletico.] #CFC (Telegraph)

Italian club #Juventus will attempt to tempt Chelsea into cashing in on Ramires this summer. #CFC (Telegraph) His disciplinary record makes the club wary as to whether they should hold onto him.

Chelsea and Galatasaray are monitoring the situation of Paris St-Germain forward Ezequiel Lavezzi. (Telegraph) #CFC #PSG [Agent talk imo but Di Marzio, DM are also creating these links]

#CFC have already set up a deal for Atlético striker Diego Costa & are considering taking Didier Drogba back to Stamford Bridge. (Telegraph)

Chelsea are still interested in signing Benfica winger Lazar Markovic, even though Liverpool have joined the race. (Telegraph) #CFC #LFC

Stamford Bridge chiefs feel [figures quoted for Shaw] would be too much for a teenager. Moreno would be a cheaper option. Moreno's release clause is 25m, but it is expected Sevilla will accept a sum below that. (Telegraph) #CFC

Frank Lampard is set to sign a new one year deal with Chelsea in the next 10 days. (Express) #CFC

Cesar Azpilicueta will be rewarded for his excellent season with a new contract and have his wages increased to £70,000 per week (Mail) #CFC - F**K YES.

John Terry in line to face Atletico Madrid on Wednesday after shaking off injury (Mirror) #CFC

Courtois has been told to return to Chelsea this summer and could begin next season as their Number 1 #CFC (Sun) Courtois is in advanced talks over a new contract and an announcement is now expected after the second leg.

Lavezzi intrigues me, but we have bigger priorities imo. My ideal window would be Rakitic, Moreno and Costa.
So much good news,

So...

Much...

Good...

Neeews.
He'd be worth it just to take a damn corner.

he's a great youngster, do you guys think he was missed in the atletico game?
Matic is a big miss in our CL campaign
JT will be back for the second leg!

Awesome news!
Ramires should be ordered to take some anger management classes.

"Jose can be box office, and he can be an embarrassment. Him congratulating the referees in sarcasm is an embarrassment. They haven't lost the title because of Mike Dean. They've lost the title because of results against Sunderland, Villa, and Palace." - Jamie Redknapp.

mhmm, how about the refereeing for 2 of those 3 games?

Oh Jamie 'different class' Redknapp, what would we do without your hilarious ineptitude?
+1
It's majorly our fault that we didn't score more goals than referees can ever influence on a match but you can't say that referees are not at fault for wrong decisions. Embarrassment is their audacity with illogical statement like this. How can he say that the wrongly given decisions in those two matches didn't affect the outcome?
are we blaming the officiating now?
+3
no, not the officiating. Just pointing out that there are a few out there who never shy on taking a dig at chelsea.

We have ourselves to blame, but a bit of perspective doesnt hurt too much.
There is this illogical stream of thought that because Chelsea has an expensive squad, refereeing blunders should not matter.

Why don't we start playing with 5 players instead of 11, or play with arms tied behind backs? The number of clear penalties we haven't gotten this season for fouls on Hazard is incredible. Less said about the decisions in the Villa and Sunderland games, the better.
all of the ex-Liverpool pundits are extremely pro Liverpool, they make watching MOTD this season unbearable at times

Redknapp, McManaman, Souness, Lawrenson, Hansen etc..... yuck...

i doubt anyone but Liverpool fans take what those clowns have to say seriously
Ramires is the worst worst footballer. he is laughable LOL
"We have made progress even if there are no trophies at the end to show for it. We have been looking for stability and in the last few seasons we have had a lot of changes of manager. It’s really important to start with one manager and end it with the same one. Now next season we can make an even bigger step forward."

-Cech

lol is there a bit of sarcasm there?
He is right though. This squad needed reshaping, balancing, and we've gone a long way towards that direction.
The way that Jose soaks up all the pressure around him scares me. You don't read a single article criticizing the likes of Oscar, Ramires etc who have been very disappointing. He completely takes the pressure off of the players.

The problem is if you look at his body language now he looks like he's been managing here for 15 years. I hope he stays for a long time but all that pressure will take its toll on him. I just hope that by some miracle we win the Champions League so he can be happy and stay for a couple more years. I will literally cry if he leaves this summer to United.
lolololol, he won't leave for United. Stop believing brainwashed imbeciles.

And in any case, he won't be that cruel to Mata. lol
The fans knew the squad was not good enough.
And it probably was a consensus among the players too.

I absolutely agree that next year will be the exciting year.
And I'm not too sure if he's being serious about Mou leaving for United. Lol
leaving for United? hahaha...

but seriously, even jokes like that would give nightmares to Mata....
So apparently even if you breach the rules in FFP, you won't get disqualified for European competitions. So... What the heck is the point of this?

We have developed good youth loaning system to follow the FFP rules and people complain about 'abusing' the system while these clubs that spend hundreds of millions pounds are portraited as legitimate 'atypical' business model. So there is no way Chelsea can be looked as a 'good football club'.

We follow the rules. They say we abuse the system.
If we don't follow rules. They would say we are only money club.

What a ducking hypocritical logic.
First of all, if there were rules in place ten years ago Chelsea would not be where we are now. FFP wasn't put in place because of us rather it's because of all the new owners trying to re-create what Roman did. At some point there is bound to be an epic failure. Like what happened to Leeds and more recently Portsmouth. That said, implying the word Fair is what gets most of us. Because the business of running Real Madrid is alot different than running Brentford.

I've spent a fair share of my time scoffing at the concept of FFP. In reality it's nothing more than a barrier for small clubs and a watchdog for over spending by the big teams. It's not meant to level the playing feild so every team has a chance. Quite the opposite in fact. There is no fast track to the top anymore.

For teams at the top that do overspend, it's a series of slaps on the wrist until after 4 years of being in the deep red. It is what it is. It's a start even if if does need some adjusting. Just like the rest of the rules in this game, we can only watch from the outside and wonder when the hell they're gonna change for the better.
Ramires has been banned 4 games.

3 games for the recent incident with Larson.
1 game for his conduct with Aston Villa.

His season in terms of the prem is done.
I wanna see Matic and Van Ginkel this Sunday.

It doesn't matter whether we lose or not, if there is no chance of winning the league, why not use the youth?

So Ramires not playing might work out well.
Mikel and Lampard will start with Matic. They are both suspended for the second leg of the CL semis. Chances of MVG playing are slim.
Matic and Lampard should play against Liverpool because both can't play in the second leg against Atletico.
schwarzer
Azpi Ivan Cahill Cole
Matic Lampard
Salah Oscar Schurrle
Torres

this resting players talk is stupid we weren't doing this the entire season why start now with 3 matches left in our season
What the actual hell FA, why does City players never get suspended? FA just a bench of Chelsea haters
good transition to ease him out of the team lol
