on a Hindsight.... we should have kept Cech and swap Courtios for James Rodregas + cash.
Lol...that would have been a worse decision than the KdB,Mata,Lukaku for Cuadrado,Salah and Etoo foolishness.
Still has time. But yeah, wrong selling us Cech who probably saved us 15 points or more. That's enough to have us retain our well coveted Champions League 4th place spot.
Naija, Eto'o? I think he was pretty good for his age, he even scored a hat trick vs United! That old guy celebration :')

Falcao, Pato etc I would agree but not Eto'o.
he's cost you 6 points though, so net 9 points :P
Did Pato even play for you guys? He looks like another Djilobodji
On hindsight we should have bought messi when he was 15

I hope Oscar stays bcos I still believe he is a top player. He may be inconsistent but I think his problems have been compounded by the role José forced on him for 3 of his 4 year career with us. The Oscar who played under RDM and Rafa was way more of an attacking threat than under José. Take a loom at Mikel, will you believe this is a player that was only second to Messi during the 2005? How his attacking prowess vanished as soon as José signed him in one of the mysteries we Nigerians still cannot fathom and I dare say that this us what Oscar has experienced. Attacking players need freedom and the occasional or zonal defensive contribution/press not being made to traverse the length of the pitch bcos of an our unbalanced team.

Let's sign a DM who can defend and cover ground quickly and a top CB who's got good pace to allow the likes of Oscar, Hazard and Co to focus primarily on opposing defenders . I hope Conte is the sort of guy not akin to making akward decision like not playing players in their positions of strenght. If a CDM is not up to scratch sell him and buy a better player instead of playing a CB in his position same goes for every other position in the team.

Oscar is still only 24 and has been with us for about 4 seasons now 3 of which he has spent doing what he's not at all used to and I could go further to say he was used wrongly. Even when Felipe Luis was with us he looked bad under José so there's an argument there that world class players can look average depending on what a Manager's instructions are. At 24 Oscar's best years are still ahead of him and at the very least he can be a squad player adding more quality to our bench which is how big clubs manage to cope with the 50+ matches they face every season rather than burn our best players like we have learn this season.
Dude what is this thing you have, that everything wrong with players you seem to link it back to Jose somehow.Osacar is average and needs to go he was here too long not to come good. And it was the same Mourinho who placed his trust in him over Mata. The fact that this season was the most goals he has scored at Chelsea and was still s**t,sums him up.
+1
Redzone.. Firstly José is responsible for our rubbish season and how the players under him have developed. Not that I have anything against the best Manager we ever had but he's not the best at harnessing players attacking qualities. Moreover I think Oscar was at his attacking best under RDM and Rafa even though they barely coached him for 6 months.

Jose's most improved players under him will always be defenders bcos that's his strongest point.
lol "Not that I have anything against Mou." Dude you blame everything thats wrong with the club on mourinho and bitch about him every single chance you get, like a broken record. Oscar has been average, cuz, you know, hes average. Jose may well be responsible for our terrible season but certainly not responsible for Oscar being s**t.
+1
He is always directly or indirectly responsible for all the trophies we won in the last 12 years, with players that he bought. As for Oscar he was hot and cold from day one even with Brazil. No more excuses for his performances, has to go at the end of the season.Probably one of the most inconsistent number 10s in the league.
"Also"
REDZONE - But it's MOU's fault that Oscar has been s**t for Brazil O.O
One of the most toothless performances I'v every seen in a UCL semi final, KDB was a total flop in that game
+4
Couldn't agree more. They will never have a better chance to reach a UCL final with Real putting in their most bland performance over two legs. Where are their big players? One goal all they needed...ONE GOAL. Even with 10 men we scored against Barca at Nou Camp. If they carry on like this Europa League will be where they end up after the next couple of games.
+7
There was one thing we had and that was leadership and commitment and i don't think City have too many leaders
+5
Regardless of the result, congrats to city for taking our annual spot of making the EPL not look like a joke. They beat and hung in with some of europes finest. Hopefully CFC come back in 2 years to help the EPL look really good again, and hopefully city can stay consistent in Europe.
+1
i think fatigue played a part because i dont just see any hunger in them to score, Aguero was just useless outside the box and kept given away balls while Yaya was just over weight and couldnt run to save his life, KDB was just tired because inconsistent run of games was showing on him because of injury while Silva`s absence really felt, i hope Arsenal bring their A-game and send city to EL, i dont have anything personal against them and i have been rooting for them to win the CL but now i want Pep first stint to be Thursday night football.
+2
KdB biggest mistake in that games was trying to score from a free kick which was in a good position to place a cross.
Courtois: I'm staying, '100 per cent'

Now I'm more worried :(
Mangala is a joke. lol Also toure has been piss poor. I guess these are the guys taking their leave in the summer.
+1
When we play against Mangala, he always has Costa in his pocket
+1
I honestly dont think Navas can survive the axe once Pep arrives, Dude is so poor that he makes Kalou look worldlcass.
+2
Hey! Kalou was worldclass lol, nah but he was seriously underrated here.

Navas is just trash
+1
You are doing Kalou a huge disservice by mentioning him and Navas in the same sentence.

New kit next season

https://www.chelseafc.com/news/latest-news/2016/05/new-kit-available-to-order.html

Personally i hate that red yokohoma logo.. going to give it a pass
+1
This year's kit is my favorite we've ever used. 09/10 away comes in a close second, and 09/10 home third.
+1
next season kit looks so dull for my liking, no spark on it. Adidas can do better.
I would really love to be a fly on the wall in that meeting where they decided that away goals are the best option for UCL
+1
They did that to avoid teams playing for a draws which leads to a penalty shootout
+5
They did that to even up things with the home advantage.

But agree it takes away the excitement of penalty shootout and extra time football.

IMO 120 mins are more than enough to decide which is the best team so i dont understand when people say that ucl final is just a 1 match tie anything can happen lol
+2
I see it as the 1st leg home team has a huge adv. to score and sit back, it changes the entire dynamic of a pure football match between the best teams in the world -- play one home, play one away, whoever scores more wins, simple.

If teams tie its cuz they are evenly matched and it now boils down to 1v1 vs keeper, I dont see whats wrong with the penalties to decide the winner.
+4
yeah - and in an updated version of the game, a tied match could go directly to pen after the ordinary... No need for half an hour of extra time??

Or maybe just 2 X 5 min extra time if they really want it.
+1
Ok Cjaystacks so now we'll give the 1st leg home team even more incentive to play for a draw and score in the 2nd leg where 1 goal counts for 2.. how is that a solution?

Kokm1 - I see nothing wrong with the 30 min + penalty, I love penalties but then again I've never played a professional game for 120 + min then had to shoot a them but thats what you get paid mills for!
+1
Simione is clever but stupid
+3
He's also attractive but ugly
+7
Are we reciting the lyrics to Alanis' Ironic here?
He's a sinner but a saint.

And he does not feel ashamed.
+2
He's right but he's wrong
+2
He loses his temper but win games
+2
^ wtf? Lol
+2
he's hot and he's cold
he's yes and he's no
he's in and he's out
he's up and he's down
Jeroen. Really? You know better. We have kids on the forum.
LOL who wrote this on Wikipedia

"Kasper Peter Schmeichel (Danish pronunciation: [ˈsmɑɪ̯ˀɡ̊l̩]; born 5 November 1986) is a Danish professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Premier League club Leicester City and the Denmark national team. Born in 1986 he is the son of former Manchester United goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel and since then has gone to win the League One, the Championship and the Barclays Premier League before Liverpool could.
