A bit confused that why Emily Rogawski was
in Everton vs ManU game wearing Chelsea jacket?
I mean why didn't she try to have a ticket
in Bridge?

just to let you lot know:
I coach kids in the USA (where they dont see a lot of football games). Tonight i showed them a video of how a real man behaves on the pitch.
Fabregas . I dont know if there is,but there should be an award giving for the strength he showed in that situation.
An amazing teaching moment for 15 year old boys and girls

Lot of talking about Conte switching the formation to 3-4-3 after defeats to Liverpool and Arsenal.

IMO apart from formation change. I think the most important actions were.

1. Drop Ivanovic and Terry to bench. I honestly dint think a new manager will have balls to drop two of our most senior players without creating any big news.

2. Also he showed courage by dropping Cesc and persisting with Matic who dint start the season very well....Now the same is happening to Willian who probably took his position for granted and now fighting from bench to earn it back.

3. Integrating two home grown players (Moses and Chalobah) into the Squad in his 1st season is such a refreshing moves. If everything goes well we could have 4-5 home grown players in our squad coming season( Moses , Chalobha ,Ake , Traore , Christensen etc.)

After seen managers sacked one after another...I hope Roman shows enough patience to persist with him even if this go wrong for a while..fingers crossed :)

Forza Conte

And he doesn't chuck his players under the bus when stuff goes wrong. He sticks it together like a team and rides the waves when it's tough... Never seen the guy ever point the blame on a player, and for that I respect him
+6
You forgot the most important point of all

He restricted david luiz role just to defending by playing him as a Central defender. Now He does not come out of his position. whenever he gets the ball he simply passes it to apzi or cahill who are playing as a ball playing defender.
FA Cup 3rd Round Draw: Chelsea VS Notts County (LG2 side) OR Peterborough (LG1 side)

Match will be played between Jan 6th - 9th
Good chance for Cesc , Chalobah ,Michy and Zouma to get some game time
Yea it should be great for the squad players as we have Spurs on Jan 4th and will need to rotate.
Is Moses in the Afcon ?
if he is going we are screwed
Drogbalampard, Nigeria didn't qualify
We scored 7 goals vs Mourinho and Pep and conceded only 1
impressive
1 goal with a Chelsea player.
lol yeah own goal
And u conceded 3 vs Wenger. Wtf is going on this season
^ That was before we wokeup....Trust me we will give it back :P
Bazinga hope by that time you guys will sleep again hahaa
+1
Hope by that time you will probably choke again.
If matic and Fabregas not available, who to play cdm role? Chalobah to start?
ofcourse...Chalobah has taken his chances very well
Chelsea are facing a hefty fine while Cesc Fabregas could yet be handed a three-match suspension after the mass brawl that marred the final minutes of Saturday's 3-1 win over Manchester City, a source has told ESPN FC

Smh
A light slap gets same punishment as a choking another player? And one less match ban than that possible career ending tackle?
^ Looks like a BS...Dailyfail is better than ESPN these days.

Nothing on BBC as of now

"Meanwhile, Chelsea’s Cesc Fabregas will not face any further action in relation to an incident involving City’s Fernandinho."

But Sergio Aguero is not that type of player. So what if he stomps, elbows, and drop kicks opponents?
I remember not long ago when most of us were in fear that our beloved Chelsea will struggle to compete with the Manchester clubs and Liverpool bcos of their Managers so glad that recent results have put that fear to bed. If anything Conte has proven to be the best Managerial signing of this season so far with a settled and defined style whereas Pep and his arch rival José are still trying to figure out their strongest line up. Who would have thought?

That Pep decided to mirror or tweak his formation to face us was a huge complement to Conte and his staff. This is a Manager who absolutely believes in his teams and it used to be that teams changed their style/formation to try and be competitive vs a Guardiola team but it was the other way round last Saturday.

Yes we were a bit lucky but we cannot discount the staying power that Conte has drilled into our team and of course the tactics he employed.

City's plan centred around attacking our Left wing and firing crosses into the box and the reason for that isnt far fetched. Hazard is not required to track back too deep in his new role and was actually instructed to tuck into the middle in defensive positions just like Pedro. Alonso and Cahil arent the quickest guys and it's not rocket science to exploit their side of the pitch. Needless to say, City's goal came of a wicked deflection - an OG football wise- and the only chance they created on their own was the miss by KDB iirc. Other chances they came off mistakes by our players with Alonso's and Azpi's weak back passes being the most obvious.

On the other hand with Matic injured Conte didnt try to change formation nor shore up the midfield instead he opted for Fabregas a decision which had me pulling my hair out as the first half wore on. I was actually hoping that Fabregas does start the second half but now I can understand why Conte played him. We know City play a high line and will hog possession. If Conte wanted to play for a draw he could have started someone like Chalobah or Mikel but he saw an opportunity to win this game and was going to make use of it and take the risk. With Fabregas and Luiz un the team we had two players who can ping a oass behind the City defensive high line to one of our attacking trio. It was such pass that led to the chance for Hazard which he bottled. When in previous games we had Moses and Alonso joining the attack at every opportunity, last Saturday the only players in attack were the front 3 and I know it may sound like "route 1" Football but when u face a possession based team with a high defensive line you must employ tactics that targets their weakness just like they did by targeting the left side of our defence.

In the end Conte outsmarted and beat Pep in a very entertaining and breathtaking spectacle unlike our "boring" wins against big teams in the past.

Conte's fitness regime has really improved our staying power ensuring we are always fighting till the end if the match. This isn't just against teams with midweek exertions in Europe but even at the beginning of the season we were scoring so late on in games against teams that did not play in midweek it sort of became like a norm until Liverpool and Arsenal happened. And I'm just glad it happened earlier on in the season with enough time for us to reset and start again. On the 24th of September City were top and we were 8 points behind but we have since overhauled them and are 4 points ahead of them and 3 points ahead of the nearest team. Its been remarkable and long may it continue.

Forza Chelsea!!!

Man City was the final test for me, the way Conte has exploited every players strength has been incredible. Hopefully now he will be more focused on incorporating our bench, most notably Batshuayi cuz Costa will need his rest, especially next year ;D

Great points Naija. To add to one point you mentioned regarding City focusing on our left side when they were attacking, I also think that a reason we struggled was because Matic wasn't in the team as well.

Typically, Hazard doesn't have to track back as he has Alonso, Cahill, and Matic (who is back to his old self and covering a lot of ground) helping out defensively. We all know Fab doesn't have the legs or defensive abilities to make up for that and it showed in their attack.
Abbabena...most fringe players probably except Mikel will get a game time as things begin to get congested in the coming weeks. Let's not forget that Oscar has been coming on recently and no one thought Fabregas who last featured in September would start such a big game.

Hits1...Agreed with Matic our Left side would not have been as vulnerable same goes for the whole team. Hope the spiderbeast returns soon
since Conte's 3-4-3 in EPL:

goals scored: 22
goals conceded: 2
record: 8-0-0
John Obi Mikel sightings: 0

I couldn't be happier.

Same here bro..long may the winning streak continue

goals conceded: 2 -1 own goal :P)
