Hazard started training alone at Cobham.
Pedro will not be featuring in the remaining pre-season games and will return to Cobham thanks to the reckless Ospina. I guess when u hardly have anything to play for in a season u become obsessed with winning even an insignificant friendly.

That's Hazard, Bakayoko and now Pedro I hope nobody else gets injured.
I missed 1st half. What happened?
He flew out to punch ball and knocked out Pedro. Same thing he did to Oscar couple years ago.

City just completed signing of Mendy for 52m. They better be best defense in the league after splashing 200m defense .

I'm definitely not against spending here. But, just dont feel that this defense imposes fears into any offense in the world. IMO for that money they could have got VVD , Bonucci , Sandro or Alaba.

I think United made right choice by getting Billy & Lindelof for decent price. Liverpool and Arsenal defense are alright considering the cost of those defenses. Chelsea and Spurs have a well organized defense too .

I will wait and see if Pep can prove everyone wrong and create a strong team
I don't know why you believe we will have the best defense in the league. I expect our defense to better than last season but defense will never be our strong suit under Pep. Pep is simply looking for players that can provide solid cover in defense but Pep's football is build towards attack, heck our CBs have to be good on the ball, our FBs have to be able to run up and down the flanks but are usually stationed as wing-backs and our GK has to be able to play with the ball at his feet. Even our CDM, we don't just get anyone, it has to be a CDM that can play as a deep-lying play-maker from the back which is why he stations Yaya in CDM in some games last season.

As for the getting the likes of VVD and Bonucci or Sandro, it will not happen that easily. If it took that long and hard to get Mendy, imagine how much money we would have spend on Bonucci or VVD or Alaba. Probably close to 70mil for each.

Moe66- I dont believe you have best defense in league. I said you better be best defense if your costing twice the amount other Top-5 team defenses cost.

Like i said lets wait and see if this is pep's masterstroke or a blunder. I know you guys have great offense. But, I'm still not convinced about the defense.
Just because we paid a big fee for them in an inflated market won't mean nothing. In fact more and more signings are inflated as hell nowadays that price is starting to become irrelevant. None of them make any sense.
+1
United got Bailly and Lindelof (IMO he will do very well ) for combined fee of only 60m for both. We go Rudiger for 29m this season and Alonso-Luiz for 55m combined last season. Arsenal got Mustafi for 35m and Holding for 2m. I'm sure Spurs go Vertongen and Tobby for about 15-20m each. Liverpool got Matip for free.

I dont think it has anything to do with inflation at all. Other team probably go with proper planning and have 2-3 options. Maybe city go to market with just one option and get mugged because selling club probably knows you would keep increasing bids until you get the target?

Once again i'm not against spending at all. It is interesting how even the likes of Real , PSG , Barca , Bayern , United etc do not get mugged for defenders even in current inflated market and they get targets for fair prices.
+2
No I think the reason why we end up paying so much is because we our victims of our own success. We spend a lot since the takeover on transfers which helped us win titles, which signaled the fact that we are a club that will spend and has no limits, almost 10 years later that's still the case. Now that other clubs are making so much money and rich owners are coming in, prices are increasing and some players are going for crazy fees, City have still continued to spend big money and no matter how options we had, it will always seem like we will overpay for players because clubs know that we have the money and are going to spend. Now when your director of football signs players like his playing FIFA career mode and we have Pep as our manager who wants specific targets, this all makes for a very expensive transactions.

Now that CFC can see what Michy can do are you guys going to sell Morata for a 30m profit?
Moses------Kante--Baka-------Alonso

----------------Hazard--------------

---------Michy------Morata-----------

This might be good option in games against smaller teams
I'll replace Baka with Cesc..for creativity..small teams park the bus
So what happened to the Willian haters? Haha he's really shut people up lately, fantastic player, was great last season
+2
Criticizing him for not being clinical and slowing down attack is hate? Anyways, I think he has improved under Conte and looks like much better package compare to seasons before.

I would still start Pedro over him until he carries pre-season form into league and delivers some match winning performances.

When people talk about player like Costa its hate...I'm sure nobody hates willian here. But they are not blind enough to criticize if he deserves.
Was Lacazzete playing today??
+2
He was hiding from DL and Ebgc all his time on the pitch and couldn't wait to be subbed lol.

Seriously though I only remembered Arsenal had signed him when the camera closed on him late in the 1St half.
+1
I watched 9min highlights just now...dint see his name mentioned even once. Seriously did he play? If yes, for how long?
he played 45 minutes - first half. He seems to be one of them strikers that wait on service and to be fair to him, he didnt get many
I have already said Lacazzete is not the major st/cf that Arsenal need to really challenge for the major title. He is good but not good enough to change the fortunes of Arsenal.
Who wanted Kolasinac? Puts ur hands up please lol
+2
Jeremy Boga is really good. I hope he goes on loan in the PL to get more playing time. Him , Tamori and Baker can break into the first team.Kennedy has the talent no doubt but there's just something missing
I was impressed by him although he did make a couple of mistakes, he looks great going forward
Also I hope Pedro is ok
He's definitely given the gaffer something to think about and I hope he stays and plays for the first team this coming season.

Tomori was outstanding as well.
Michy is so good with that left foot
Willian and Batshuayi scored beauties in space of 2 minutes
+1
f*****g Ospina seems to have a habit of punching Chelsea players in the face.
+2
Should be 3-0 lol, awful call.

Players are decently fit for only our second pre-season game.
