Luiz - "I cut my salary to come back here. But it's OK. God has given me a lot so I'm very happy with this."

Respect, because not many players will agree to take pay cut especially not during prime age.

He has won PL , CL , Europa & FA cup in 4 years at Chelsea
So city signed Silva for 43m and now going for Mendey ..That was fast LOL!

I hope we can close our deals sooner and not wait till deadline day like last season
and city fires the first shot in the transfer window shoot-out
Sliva will be great addition for city...but i will not be worried as long as city dont upgrade defense and GK issue. Pep's ego is too big and he wants to prove everyone that team can win without proper defensive organization...Lets see if it will cost him again

Since 04/05 season we have won more games, recorded the fewest losses, scored more goals, conceded the least amount of goals and amassed more points than any team that has featured in the league in that time.

We are creating our own history breaking and creating records in the process. Thanks Roman

+2
More goals cant be possible? Arsenal , United , Pool and city always played best football in league. Chelsea always won titles parking bus and winning 1-0.

These stats are misleading...How can we score more goals than mighty Arsenal.?
Cos after 2004, we turned to s**t basically :)
Lol i saw that Arsenal have actually scored 1 more than us since 2004-2005. But unfortunately they have conceded 90 more.
Any chances of landing dybala next season?
ZER0
0
about 10% chance.
Lower than 0%

He doesn't even fit the current system.
Agree with Theo. Dybala doesnt not have the stamina to run up and down the wings to help out the defence
Pep just released Clichy, Zabaleta, Caballero,Sagna and Navas. Looks like it's going to be a crazy summer guys. I'm very excited
I'm glad we have other teams in PL who can go neck to neck with United and city in transfer market. which means they might not get all the targets even if they are ready to splash more money.

Even the non PL teams like Barca , Bayern , Real , Juve , Inter , Milan & PSG are in market and will make it hard for them to get all targets.

Luckily we dont have to sign too many players like them..I think we will close our deals before preseason with max 3 new signings and 3 loan army players returning.
with the exception of chelsea who can go neck to neck with United? the 4 players we signed last season turned down PL rivals to join us.
City can certainly go neck to neck to with united in terms of attracting big names.

I think Liverpool & Arsenal might finally spend big this window....because its now or never for both.

If rumors are ture Firmino,Mane were united targets not last season the season before? I think Klopp & Poch can attract some big players to play for them.
@Somere, teams that finish above 6th... lol
+2
Conte has quietly eased Terry out of the team, sold off Oscar,Mikel and Ivanovic withing half a season and still win the league and get to the FA Cup final. I think its quite remarkable considering that 3 of those players are the longest serving members of the sqaud and therefore Legends in their own right. Selling those players makes this summer an easier one in terms of tranfers because most players we would have had to sell off are gone already and we can focus on additions and maybe a couple of youngsters to send on loan.

I'm happy that most big clubs will spend big and I think the way we won the league with Spurs finishing 2nd will scare them into splashing even bigger than they would love to. It will then mean that the pressure is on them and like Mourinho was bragging earlier this season that his team is going for the league title of course prompted by his outrageous spend on "Dab" and "Ego". He thrives when he is the underdog but when he outspends everybody he will have no excuse but to win the title and that is where I'd rather have him.

I hope we can spend wisely which I think we have been doing for years now- see Hazard, Kante- and I trust Conte to go for players he needs for the formations he will be using next season.
firmino was not a united target.

^ego was free mr salty
The new seeding system of putting all champions in pot 1 in the CL is so weird. Barca, Athletico and PSG in pot 2 behind the likes of benfica, shaktar, Moscow.
Now despite being in pot 1 we will have one of Barca, PSG, dortmund, athletico, sevilla or Porto in our group.
We will likely get a tougher group than City and United.
I hope we get into same group as Barca but want other two teams to be easy ones.
Yeah current Barca aren't that scary. It depends what they do this summer.
Dont mean to sound arrogant but this season's CL and EL have been the weakest in years. Ajax and Monaco going so far in both competitions shows how much the big teams have regressed.

With good signings I believe we can beat any team especially over two legs and with a bit of luck lift the big eared trophy next season.
+2
I can't help but agree ^
+6
" this season's CL and EL have been the weakest in years"

that's easy to say when you're not in the competition. you knock monaco but they've just won ligue a despite cavani's amazing goal record this season.

point is monaco got to the SemiFinal because they knocked out manchester city, and we all know city can beat any team in the league.
+1
Current Barca aren't that scary huh? lmao I'm sure ManU would easily winn against them huh?
+1
SIF - Monaco beat city because they have become Arsenal 2.0 under Pep and very easy to score against. I think even a team like Leicester city had better chance against Monaco because they showed it against Sevilla who by no means are easy and also gave tough fight to Athletico.

Spurs , Roma and United were 3 strong teams in Europe this season and only one made to finals...other two big time bottlers
did i say it be easy win? compare to there squad in the past they are weaker. Messi had to bail them out a lot this season
+1
"City can beat anyone in the league"

So can Crystal Palace. Its not like City dominated their rivals over two legs in the PL this season. They finished 8 points behing Spurs and 15 behind Chelsea that is a huge gap. City went to the semis last season with more or less the same squad so they have regrsssed massively in that respect.

Monaco are exciting but its fair to say PSG are on the wane and that is why they have won the league.
I honestly think it's a good thing Man Utd won, now we have 5 English representatives, and an English team won a European cup, we were the last 2 to do that (CL and EL), which helps Englands coefficient or w/e. Credit to Liverpool too for last year, but time for English teams to perform in CL again.

And, I honestly think it's a crime how underrated Azpilicueta is. Our player of the season if you ask me, Kante and Hazard closely behind, but just his leadership, determination, passion, and hard work. And so loyal to our managers, I really admire the guy and hope he's our captain one day. #Azpi4Captain
+2
6 points above United but couldn't qualify for CL yet United weave their way to the CL. What a rule lmao
+2
This new rule started last season or this season? I know it wasn't der when we won it few years back
That rule started from the 15-16 season.
Its the rule of allowing 2-4th placed teams that I don't understand. It does make the League more interesting and competitive. But its called Champions League. FA Cup and EFL Cup winners are Champions too.
+1
Money. It's always about money.

If I recall correctly england were in real danger of our coeffient dropping below Italy which would mean one less team in champions league. But it changed and it doesn't matter anymorr
There won't be many teams or games if only champions were allowed into the competition. And CL won't be as big as it is now.
+1
The rule started in 2014-15. Sevilla qualified thorough Europa. Last year we missed out by losing the final.
It finally gives some value to the competition, or else no one really cared about europa league.
So we have 5 PL teams in CL next season. I if not 2 at-least 1 PL team will make it to Semi next season.

Also this means less whining by Jose next season about others being in CL and schedule congestion excuses. Pl title race will be fair and square.

United will easily touch 250m. I think City & Chelsea will be around 150m followed by Pool , Arsenal and Spurs around 100m

Cant wait for next season!!

Edit:
+1
I know who that 'some' manager is you're referring to. You just cant let it go. can you? I get your hatred towards that 'some managers' but you aint doing anything better by constantly whining about it. chill out man.
+7
He is obviously talking about Wenger
+1
He's just stating the obvious mate the whining one has been at it all season as if he never played in Europe before.

Now we are all in the same boat hopefully he doesn't carry on whining.
+5
250mil???? I doubt it. Maybe 150mil-180mil max. Only 3-4 will come to City imo, we have some good youngsters on loan that will join us most likely. If we do spend that much I will be disappointed because we don't really need that much change atm. Get rid of the old guys, bring in 3 players at the back, 1 more MFs and were set. Our only issue is that, our director of football only targets the biggest names.

The only team spending 250mil will be Utd and that will largely fall on the price they pay for Griez as they are now in UCL and he will be tempted.

As for UCl, first make the QFs, UCl seems to be getting tricky, even for Barca. It won't be easy as when QFs arrives, anyone can land the big teams. Although I'm hoping at least 2 teams PL teams make the semis.
Americanbang201 i fixed my typo ..Let your new godstop whining 24 hours a day i will stop too. Its funny that you are asking us to accept his whining but you cant accept ours? cheers!

I will predict what he will whine about next season. He will tell referees against his team, you guys got most difficult fixtures because FA and UEFA hates united, He will blame 3/4 player like Shaw and Martial, call other teams defensive and park bus at home day in day out..basically everyone is at fault and not him.

Anyways cant wait for him to play Gerizmann as RB and Rashforrd LB & James as DM next season...that would be something special.

Moe66 - Agreed i think City will around 150m...I forgot that you guys only need defenders and attack is already stacked-up
+3
See! You are still whining. It seems as though you cant tolerate your ex gf having a good time with her new bf? Ehh. I dont mind who plays at rb or rashford playing in goal as long as we win something at the end. You always talk talk as though your new manager has never done any s**t wrong or said something wrong. got nothing against you, but seeing you constantly post negative about jose also makes you a whinner too right?
+5
if my ex gf keeps bitc*ing like Jose...I would not mind whining and shaming her. I honestly feel how irritating it was for you guys back when he was with us and you guys could not stand him. Unfortunately for you side have flipped.

yes i'm ok to accept that im a whiner too just like Jose....Simply cant let him bitc* about others and talk non-sense. Its normal for people to give it back.

Between i dint tell anything wrong about him in the post. It was fact and why cant you just accept the fact and enjoy the win today.
And you're whining about him whining!

And I'm whining about you whining about him whining!
+5
And he will continue whining and i wont stop whining about him whining :P

Nothing against united or its fans...we were exactly like you guys for almost 7 years and i can understand how difficult it is for you guys to cover-up and defend him time and again.
+1
Meh. We had SAF he did his fair share of s**t talking as well lol
whineception

salty ex lol

congrats to José on his crappest of trebles. Let’s go win the Double.!!

WAGH!
+1
How he calls it a treble is beyond me..we might as well start counting pre season trophies in as well. How desperate!!
Here is Bertrand Traore's goals this season...looks like he could be good option to player on right wing in Pedro's position next season. Can be used for rotation.

No way Conte is going to let this guy on one more loan.
