Very hostile environment at OT, crowd chanting "attack attack" and are booing back passes
It's unfair on Evans. If he hadlistened to them, United would be a goal down due to a stupid pass
Pic wrong in many ways...

LOL!

Haha what the hell was that?!
So anxious bout our game. Everyday I keep thinking about it lol
Would be great to win. Would alleviate the pressure of the prospect of finishing another season trophy-less. And also...

..Lads, It's Tottenham
Mou can pull a van gaal, eub in Petr cech for penalties shootout
Honestly, I'd rather see Zouma in DM than any of our other non-DM players.
Was thinking the exact same thing Kyle. After seeing everyone's lineup predictions. Either Zouma in the middle of a 4-3-3 or 5-3-2 with Bane, Zouma, Cahill,Terry, Azpi at the back. Basically thats a 4-4-2 when Ivanovic plays. Just as our 4-2-3-1 is more like a 3-3-3-1 when Ivanovic plays.
+1
how has it come to this?
Zouma and Cahill don't have the technique to play in midfield. Luis, Azpi, Ake, still the best options for me.
Appart from City away, Ivanovic has been more of a midfielder than a RB. If we progress further into the CL I'm almost positive we'll see a very defensive formation. I also think Oscar has to show he's got just a little bit more. This is looking like a pattern for him now. 3 years in a row he's been almost non existant in the second half of the season.
Zouma still doesnt distribute the ball well. Most of his passes are simple and direct. Also, his jumps are sometimes poorly timed.

Luis or an in form cahill could do a decent dm job imo.
lol cahill can't even play is natural defender anymore i don't see how he is ahead of ake or loftus cheek as a midfielder
Cahill is hardly a better passer than Zouma. They both hoof it frequently. Unlike Terry who has good passing range.
I think a midfield trio of Fabregas-Ake/RLC-Ramires can do the job with the youngsters on strict instructions from José to maintain postional discipline.
If anyone has to play out of position, it has to be Dave, or just play Ake.
Ake or Felipe luis (experienced technical player, kinda like what Lahm does for Bayern).
Zouma has terrible passing. This is not a good idea.
Just go Rambo-Fab, not the time to be testing things out
Rob Beasley said on twitter Cahill will play DM.

Might just be guessing, but Mourinho already brought him on in that position against Man City, wouldn't shock me.
Not sure he'd be the best option. Don't want to see this out of form Cahill backing off Eriksen and putting in mistimed tackle. On the other hand, could put in a dominant Pepe-like performance.

Read the tweet, could be another Rob Beasley prediction.
Wouldn't Terry play better than Cahill in DM?
Cahill isn't the great tackler to stop the flow when needed.
lol at Terry in DM. he's as immobile as they get. slow as Per Mertesacker.
As a DM, u need to be aggressive, hard tackling read the play and protect ur back four, I believe Cahill don't tackle hard or read the play
Put Yokohama Tire in DM
...how we would have loved to have Luiz...
Luiz in midfield was always a gamble
DL...Luiz um midfield was for big games like the final tomorrow and it always worked to u can hardly call it a gamble.
@Naija I have never seen anybody here dislike Mikel so much as you do. Essien was injured more than Mikel in his Chelsea career we were never in a rush to sell him. Please Man I am getting tired of your negative hateful comments against Mikel cut the guy some slack. And you claim to be a Nigerian wow so much for being a true Nigerian. I just want to let you know as long as you are always going to say something negative or bad against Mikel I will always have some reply for you. Mikel is injured instead of you to wish him a quick recovery you are already saying we should sell him.
+8
So all Nigerians are just suppose to love and support all Nigerian athletes?

IMO, Mikel has never given us something another CFC player doesn't. I appreciate his service to the club over all the seasons. But I just don't think he's made CFC better. He has done a good job being a willing rotation player, and I appreciate that he hasn't forced a move or unsettled the team...but he really just isn't CFC caliber.
+2
Easy there mate, naija is hardly crusading against Mikel. I think most people here have seen enough of Mikel to make a fair assesment. He's served loyally but its fair to say he's 4th in line behind Matic, Cesc & Ramires.
i think there is a reason that mikel has stayed on through what, 8 coaches? he obviously does something valuable or he would have been shipped on years ago. and sure some will say " oh he knows he´s not better so he gladly takes his money and warms the bench. but a player who can come on and so disciplined take the play back role is not that common, just saying..
+3
Kokm1 - sorry, I know it won't help the discussion... But reason why Mikel has stayed through all managers is because nobody ever showed interest in buying him. I have never seen any club showing interest in him for some reasob ...Having said that he is a good utility player for years and is not harming us much anyways. The fact that even after 8 years he has not developed enough to challenge for starting spot and accepts bench at this age is scary
Bazinga - yes that may be true, I mst admit that i dont follow the tranfer market enough to really know much about that. Its hard to say why people do what they do.
But i always feel the team should be supported as a whole, sure we all have our favorites, mine left last season (sobing) but I just think some fans on this page are quick to blast players after bad perfomances.
If one has ever played football for a team in a competitive scenario, one knows that certain players have value without being the most prolific, just saying..( thats my new outro to all posts)
I've shared my opinion on the "Support the team or gtfo" mentality before. To summarize:

Support the team or GTFO when you are at a game. Feel free to criticize or vent when you are commenting online or talking with friends.

As someone who grew up watching Jay Jay I had huge expectations of Mikel and I actually thought he will be the one to take over from and even surpass Okocha having moved to a big Club like Chelsea and I must say I am hugely disappointed. This is not to say he hasn't done ok..just not even close to my own personal expectations of him.

The fact that he has played under every Manager has more to do with the lack of interest in him from Clubs and the his very easy going nature which can be misconstrued as a man without serious personal ambition. Salah, KdB, MvG, Mata, Lukaku etc all had Clubs willing to take them on after seeing them on the bench for long periods but no one has ever shown interest in Mikel. That alone is an indictment on his ability and at 27 there is hardly any room for improvement.

Even David Luiz played in midfield in more important games than Mikel last season and was paired with a 35 year old Lampard while the then 26 year old Mikel was all smily about it on the bench. The truth since we bought him we have brought in Meireles, Ramires, Matic and played DL in midfield simply because he wasn't good enough. And before anyone goes on about Mourinho's first spell during which he converted him from an attacking midfielder to a holding midfielder he has had over 7 years of learning and experience and hasn't necessary attained the level of performance that a big Club like Chelsea needs in that position.

I really hope he leaves this summer and lets also give Romeu, Ake, MvG and RLC a chance. Someone once said that repeating the same thing over and over without the expected outcome is madness.
+1
@kgb (2nd statement) without reading the rest so forgive me, but do you know

Chelseafc 2nd highest shirt sales were from Lagos? No other top club in england had more shirts sold from a foreign nation than Chelsea. If that was not because of Mikel I do not know what is.

Now back to reading other comments :)
what do you think ?

http://talksport.com/football/leaked-chelseas-new-kit-ps40m-year-sponsor-150227137954?p=3
fake. they were mocked up last year before the current kit was released.
Mou: Mikel is out for a month. Everyone else is fit.
He's been out injured this season more than any other season I think it's time to ease him out because after such recurring injuries players hardly get back to their best.

Ake should start in a midfield 3 this Sunday..I hope.
@naija there is no way ake will start, i'm all for youth playing, but in a final against a team that presses as high as spuds he will be overwhelmed and outplayed. it will be a rami and fab partnership most likely since mikel is out.
This is a cup final. The cup Mou first won. Against the spurs. Who humiliated our defense last time we met. Mou will definitely play defensively. My 4-3-3 prediction:

Courtois
bane-terry-zouma-azpi
ramires-fab-oscar
willian-costa-hazard

I really can't see it being anything else.
+1
@kgb112 its harsh to call the 5-3 a humiliation, it was just freak match in which spuds basically took every chance that was created and pochettino got his tactics right. If memory serves right we still played well enough to create chances even when the entire spuds team was having the game of their lives. that is why I really don't fear them, unless the same situation happens and kane and eriksen have a blinder, I can see us winning fairly comfortably. It will be hard but we wont be outmatched and that's a fact.
+2
I agree. I don't think we played bad but their execution of tactics and plans was done perfectly. And the chance if repeating the same level of execution will be very difficult against us.
+1
eh, 5 goals is pretty humiliating for a side that prides itself as the bastion of hardcore defending in the modern game.
+1
it was bad. humiliating. from the Spurs to top it off.
+3
but how many times have you seen chelsea concede five?it rarely happens mate.
Exactly. It rarely happens. Therefore it was bad when it did happen. Very bad. And Mou won't want to let it happen again.

But I see your point; Mou may not even be worried that it could happen again. He may just chalk it off to a fluke and field a team that is more balanced and not ultra defensive.

But then I see my point; "This is a cup final. The cup Mou first won. Against the spurs. Who humiliated our defense last time we met. Mou will definitely play defensively."
When you look at the chelsea kit do you sometimes see white and gold =p
Can someone please enlighten me with this white gold dress s**t? Like I woke up and got bombarded with this stuff on my news feed.
it's basically like a dog eating his own poop. the internet is now shitting and then eating that s**t to feed itself. disgusting state of the world.
With some brief web surfing it looks like it has to do with how poorly exposed the picture is. I've only seen it as white and gold, but in a dark room the white began to look more blue to me. Dunno why but it caught the internet by a storm lol
Obviously white and gold.
+6
Lool hahaha
White and gold FTW!
You're all nuts. Definitely blue and black
It's a dress that look white and gold to some and black and blue to the others. It has nothing to do with lighting or angle. Cause when our family looked at it together, some saw white and gold and some didn't. There's a scientific explanation behind it if you search it up.
http://www.sciencealert.com/here-s-the-science-behind-that-goddamn-dress

This sheds some light on the subject. ;) that pun was free, no charge :D
+2
But the /facepalm will cost you
Lol I don't know for some reason I see blue and gold colors , which apparently isn't an option
black and blue. You all chumps seeing white and gold.
