I really enjoyed Jose's tribute and empathising presser for Ranieri. It also showcased his frustration at the circumstances that led to his own departure last season. You can see how (even at his age now), he is still a passionate and emotional man.

Legend.

I was expecting bazinga to post this 😂😂😂 im sure he read about it😂😂😂
But in all seriousness it was a very nice touch
#respect
Haha only the negatives bro
Hazard or Keita diao?? If Chelsea sign this dude hazard could be on the bench and possibly move on. This guy is so friggin fast and resembles cr a lot!
Depay also resembled CR. Lol
No, nig has no brain = no key passes. Hazard will play.
What has Keita accomplished..?
I've watched lazio for a while now, kieta is alright, I think f.anderson is much better and kieta will take a few years to get there. Only thing is kieta is really strong for a winger and I think that is a huge advantage to his game
yeah exactly! His strength and speed is ridiculous. Strength and toughness are obviously big in the premiere league so thats why i think he'd thrive here. @HITS1 nothing because serie a sucks lol
Dude is obviously talented but I struggle to see how he could replace Hazard bcos he's no where near the latter's quality. At 22 Hazard was already a WC player this dude can be a squad player at best in our current team and probably edge Willian out especially bcos he looks to have more goals in him than Willian
I have watched Lazio many times but couldn't see any dude that can lase Hazard boot there. I haven't even notice this dude to be anything to whorth talking about a move. F Anderson also an average player been linked to us.
“Incredible” César Azpilicueta “one of the best in the world” as the right-sided center back in the backline of the 3-4-3. For a right back, turned left back, turned center back, that’s tremendous.

Asked if Chelsea have an advantage with their fixture schedule, the Chelsea boss replied: ‘In this moment, I think the real advantage was before, because when you arrive in a new team and you have to bring your idea, your philosophy, you make a lot of work, you need a lot of time to work all week, I think this is the real advantage.

‘Now, to watch Champions League or Europa league on TV is not good for me or the players because we want to stay there to play for something important.

‘We have this situation because of last season, not because someone invented it. Last season was very bad.’
+4
Indeed, would have been difficult making such a drastic formation change when you only train for 2 days then play again.

But now the team is settled, 4-5 changes can be made and it's still the same style of play.
This line was killer blow to shut-up someone who keeps ranting.LOL!

‘We have this situation because of last season, not because someone invented it. Last season was very bad.’
+3
That is the best way to get back to the mind games specialist. "Last season was very bad"
note this is the point i made before about not having midweek games, especially important for new coach and players to adapt to eachother. when you play midweek there's very little time to prepare tactics etc as players need recovery days between games.

the same still holds true, you wont be travelling to russia and back before the FA cup.. i consider that a big advantage... in terms of prep and recovery time. hopefully we dont pick up more injuries.
Bro nobody is denying it makes a difference. It's just that we won the league with CL, and also we won capital one cup. That was 2 seasons ago. Infact at the same time at this point of the season in 2015 we were also on 60 points.
+3
Nah there were people saying it makes no difference, thats why I made the point in the first place.
SIF - Nobody is saying having extra rest and less games to play is not advantage.

1. Conte has more time to prepare because of European fixtures(which is not his fault) and its an advantage that has helped him fight for title with team that finished 10th last season and was leaking goals left and right + His main striker tried to leave couple of time already. Din't get all his targets and settled for Luiz & Alonso in the end + got thrashed by rivals start of the season + had a short pre-season because of International commitments

2. Jose has already managed in PL before for 6 seasons and knows league in and out + spent good money in transfer market to upgrade a already good squad which finished 5th last season only because of goal difference. + Got all his main targets like Pogba , Zlatan , Michy & Baily etc. + Had full pre-season to prepare without any international commitments + started season with community shield win and 5 wins in a row.

Please decide which one is a bigger advantage SIF?
stop beating a dead horse jeez...

United fans gotta get used to not being the best team in England anymore ( echo...wait for the comments replying " Are you saying CHELSEA is the best team dont kid yourself etc etc)

Keep your pants on
Nobody is saying that Chelsea are winning because thy don't have European football. Just that it is easier to play less games than it is to play more games. Maybe you should keep your pants on
+2
Maybe some people are saying it makes no difference.

90% of people and 100% of unbiased people are saying this: Basically every top team for the entire history of the Premier League has had to juggle multiple priorities and mid week games, and plenty of times the League, FA, League Cup, and European Cup winners played just as many or more games than their competitors;

any club/fan pointing to Chelsea's schedule as the excuse for why we are in 1st and they aren't are full of s**t.

I got into a debate with another FT user a month ago (don't remember who) and their entire argument was that the League is different as of last season and that the only League winners we will see for the next couple of seasons -- if the League as he currently describes it continues -- will be the club with the least fixtures.

This is at least a self-aware argument. I disagree with it, but it has clear parameters and offers an argument and some support for why he thought it was ok to place most of the rationale for Chelsea's League position on our less congested schedule.

The argument, divorced from the contention that the League is just different now than before, ignores over 20 years of history.
"Nobody is saying that Chelsea are winning because thy don't have European football"

Uh, plenty of people are. This is entirely non-scientific but here's my pedestrian assessment:

"People Saying Chelsea are Winning Due to No European Football"
-33% are saying that
-33% are saying it is a large part of it
-33% are saying it is a small part of it

"Chelsea Fans Saying Extra Rest is Not an Advantage"
-5% are saying that
-95% are saying it is an advantage, but almost every Premier League winner in its history has had just as many if not more games than the competition they finish above...so it is a lame excuse.
+1
Rekt
The only team that has won the PL without being involved in Europe, is Leicester. Every league winner apart from last season has had the resources to juggle between multiple fixtures.

Moreover, a large part of Chelsea's 13 game winning run was accomplished when a lot of the teams were off European fixture duty.
Maybe it's not a coincidence that the last team to win also did not have Europe, who knows, all I'm saying is the fewer games is an advantage, especially for a new coach who needs time to instil his methods and mentality to the team.

Advantage doesn't guarantee anything, I don't know why your panties are in a twist on this forum. It is what it is, you make due with what you have and Chelsea have done well.

And bazinga, united did not struggle because of mou, they struggled at first because

1 new players need time to adapt to the league. Pogba mikhi and ibra went through long stretch of bad form.

2 players need to adapt to the coach. We were playing like a LVG side in many games at the start of the season. It takes a bit of time to change two years worth of habits and training.

3) players need time to gel and adapt to each other.

4) failure to take chances. Lots of draws where we were clearly the better side but failed to capitalize. Our conversion rate is literally bottom 2 or 3 in the league.

Side note we did not have a good pre season, lots of traveling from UK to asia etc, not much instructional and training time and only a few games. we played maybe three games, pogba didn't even have a pre season and I think zlatan came in second to last game. We had an OK start but then the kinks started to show.
It must really hurt some of you fans to see Mourinho at Manchester United, but who cares they are struggling for 5th spot against Liverpool.
+3
We're four points off second and haven't lost a league game since October. I think it's harsh to say we are struggling for fifth, let's just see where things fall at the end of the season
This guy is everywhere
If Ranieri hadn't won them the league last year, he would have long gone even before Christmas. Probably gonna get kicked out by Sevilla. Guess what, You don't get anything for history. It's what your produce now that counts. I think The owner has stuck by him as long as they can, and they can't do it any longer. I for one, Agree.
HEY IT'S MRBUKLAU!!!
Best of luck for rest of the season bro...hopefully you guys say-up
Buk how's the super league?

LOLSpurs.

Wow, Gent are such a horrible team. English football is so overrated. I cannot come to terms with how a Premier League team, supposedly challenging for the title, can lose so badly to such a terrible team, that too, over two legs!
+4
Unbelievable from Spurs..in CL also they had decent group and somehow managed to get knocked-out. But losing to Gent over 2 legs is embarrassing.

Harry Redknapp keeps whining that they are the best XI in PL :P
+2
The only time Harry Redknapp spoke sense (or truth) was his prediction about Lampard. The rest of the time, he's just been a lying sack of lard.
+1
I wonder if you even saw the match?
^no need to see the match. Spurs lost to a team I've never heard of lol
+3
No Suraj, But fact remains that Gent outscored you guys over two legs.
+2
@Suraj: Yes I did, and I repeat, Gent are a terrible team. The game only confirmed that. What it also confirmed, is that Tottenham is a team full of talented players with no collective brain.

Also, for that tackle, that son of bitch Alli should be banned for half a dozen games. What you will hear from all these Tottenham bootlickers on BT Sport is how "he isn't that sort of lad, but he needs to cut it out of his game". Imagine if that was a non-English (especially, non-European) player.
+4
@Liquidator: If you watched the game then I wonder how you came up with lose so badly. We clearly were very good(as we should be) today despite being a man down.
Not sure where the no collective brain observation comes from considering we created enough to win and win well.

Yup, Dele's tackle was a proper leg breaker. Should be longer than a standard ban.

Anyway, you do seem to hate Spurs as if they screwed over your life in some personal sort of way. Your forum, so I will be off having clarified that you did indeed see the game before making some 'astute' observations.

@Raj and Bazinga: Makes a lot more sense then. :D
+2
Surja - Nobody is hating on Spurs...if anything we are surprised and find it hard to believe how a good team keeps chocking itself again and again at big stage.
+1
If you think that was a very good performance by Tottenham, good luck to you buddy.

I guess these days, a very good performance is only when you create chances. It does not matter if you lose an away leg to a garbage team, or put your team in trouble by making a horrible tackle, or take pot shots from impossible angles when you have players in the box, etc.
+2
North London, the gift that keeps on giving.
+4
Losing to Gent over 2 legs is a disgrace!!!

North London the bottling capital of football.

Mourinho wins Premier League - gets sacked the next season

Ranieri wins Premier League - gets sacked the next season.

Wenger is smart.

+9

Winning the premier league is now a poisoned chalice

Vardy is living the dream. Went from non-league football to scoring in Champions League. Stuff of dreams.
