This fixture – the first between these sides in the top-flight for 46 years – is synonymous with the 1953 FA Cup final, one of English football's greatest matches. It might not be Lofthouse versus Matthews this weekend but their modern-day successors have served up some scintillating fare in the opening months of the season, and given both teams' attacking intentions a repeat of the 4-3 Wembley scoreline cannot be discounted. Blackpool's 14 games have featured a Premier League-high 48 goals while Owen Coyle's fifth-placed Bolton, who have outscored all but the top three, are only a couple behind. Richard Gibson
