It's about to be boring this weekend...lol nothing to look forward to, football wise.

International games are just not the same.

Anyways, I really hope Giroud can bag a least 20 goals in Premier League.
He will

To Arsenal fans in London who go to the emirates, I have questions regarding tickets.

I live in the US and plan on being in London during the November 8th match against Spurs and I have no idea how to get a reasonably priced ticket. I am not an Arsenal member so I cant even buy a ticket from their website so I'm not sure what the best thing for me to do here. Can anyone offer advice?
Subscribe to the podcast Arsenal Review USA. They have some perks but if it's not tickets (unlikely) send an email out and they'll hook you up with another Arsenal chapter in the US.
Koscielny starts for France, clean sheet so far.

Ozil picked up an assist before halftime, but I stopped watching the match.

Fabianski starts over Tex.

I believe Coquelin and Giroud on the bench...not sure.
I don't think coquelin was called up but debuchy was
oh alight, I wasn't sure.
A French pundit actually made the audacious claim that coquelin will never be good enough for the French national team :/
His facing top opposition for a place. Schneiderlin, Kondogbia and Yohan Cabaye for a place as a holding MF.

Imo, I think he can beat all three. His much better defensively then Cabaye, his not as reckless in tackling as Kondogbia is and Kondogbia can't control his emotions during games when its get physical. Not to mention I think he beats him with his distribution. His biggest competition will have to be Schneiderlin. Scheiderlin will need some time to settle to national, plus its not like his amazing at DM when I saw him play for France. I just think Coq-block would honestly own that position. He reminds me of Makalele, plus his very vocal and plays like a leader. Honestly deserves a call-up.
+3
why is Cabaye in there? lmao

If he perform like he have been so far, he will be called up very soon.
"Kondogbia can't control his emotions during games when its get physical"
no, that's more like Cabaye, he is the one who commits alot of fouls and gets alot of yellow cards. still he has scoring abilties and is a better user of the ball than Coq.

Now kondogbia is taller, younger 22, (coq is 24), absolutely a better user of the ball, more technical, better shooter, left footed (apparently its a plus when u play in the midfield) etc.
the debate used to be kondogbia vs Pogba but i have never heard some one use Coq and Pogba in the same sentence grr.

that being said,i like Coquelin but i think he is far from breaking into the French national team.

Coquelin is not far from being called up...lol if he's not better, he's as good as Kondogbia without a bit of attacking side/ball distribution. What's holding Coq back is his lack of ball distribution, starting an attack from the back, etc. Which he is developing right now, if not this season, he will be called up by next season.
^ Agreed

arsenal players ranked 85+ are:

Cech: 85
Santi: 85
Alexis: 86
Ozil: 87

nice to see upgrades for our players, but disappointed to not see Koscienly be an 85, im guessing hes an 84
How is Ozil still an 87 tbh..
Sanchez should be 88. Player of the season
+2
i think he ended the season as an 82, thats probably where he's at. ozil 87, i dont understand at all.
cos as a playmaker whos job is to create chances, he is the best in the world (stats)... not his fault that hes got a donkey in front of him when it comes to finishing :D
It should be:

Cech 85
Santi 85
Sanchez 89
Ozil 87
+1
Ozil is world class. Why are people questioning his rating?

I think the stats are good this year for the top 50 but I would boost Aguero to 89 or 90. 87 for him is a bit low.
Thank you IscoDisco, why do people question Mesut, only player on par with him when it comes to playing as a number 10, is Silva, but IMO Ozil is more creative, but Silva is more lethal in front of goal
Sanchez should be our highest.
I disagree, IMO ozil is our best player in the team, without him, our attacks are clueless eg Newcastle... We can survive without Alexis, even tho he lifts us a level or two, but without Ozil, we have no creativity bar Cazorla
I don't disagree with Ozil at 87 but his workrate is probably "Low-Low" in FIFA. I don't think the work rate factors into FIFA overall ratings.
The awesome thing with Alexis is he makes s**t happen and works his socks off but it's easy to see where he can improve. I think we could see an even better Alexis this season. He often holds onto the ball too long, his first touch can be heavy, and doesn't make great decisions when passing to teammates
so ozil had a better season than cazorla or sanchez? i dont think so. is he a better player? idk, i tend to rate goal scorers better but his vision is amazing sometimes and his tech is very good.
+1
Sanchez is the best player in our team, attack wise.

Coquelin is the best player in our team, midfielder wise.

Koscielny is the best player in our team, defender wise.

These are the players that we cannot replace with our current squad players, very valuable.
+1
I thought Santi was our best player ?
he's very important, yes.
Ramsey is beginning to have me believe his best position will be CAM and not box to box. I think that's the role he plays on the Welsh side and he works quite well with Bale. Wouldn't put it past it if RM go in for him a couple seasons from now.
What I feel he should focus on is his passing and awareness, too many times he's suspect of trying to do a Cazorla and twist and turn out of trouble. He's passing is really good but he tends to over do it at times, focusing more on the glamorous side instead of actually just doing the basic stuff.
+3
dont agree...his influence on the games is soo small playing at cam...plus he doesnt have the technique like close control, first touch and eye for a pass.....he is best when he makes driving runs from deep lying midfield.....out on rw or cam or any other position he can be frustrating but a willing worker nonetheless.
+2
Why is he even on the right wing I really dont understand wenger repeatedly doing this its the same as playing giroud upfront and sanchez on the left and thats it
+2
Ramsey doesn't have all of the skills to be CAM, he's like right in the middle of CM & CAM. lol
Charlie he's not really playing rw that's just what the formation looks like. He's playing a free role where he's supposed to work between the midfield and forwards and link up with ozil and giroud, but on defense he tracks back on the right side. It only works because Ramsey is ridiculously fit. I think it's a decent option to accommodate Ramsey and ccazorla in one midfield and it's better than putting santi out on the wing
Ramsey at RW is more like free role offensively and RM defensively. The problem is when we need width offensively or if the pace of the game is too fast for Ramsey to make the offense/defense transition.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3222231/Arsenal-right-hide-Danny-Welbeck-injury-better-window-Premier-League-club.html

Ignore the title of the article and go straight into the main body of the text. The author makes some well articulated observations about our transfer window.

I disagree with his claim that it was a better window for us than any other club, but it certainly was not a disaster. I particularly like this paragraph towards the end:

"Of course it is understandable that fans want signings. They are exciting and new. Gunners supporters have seen every other Premier League club try to get rid of their new TV windfall as quickly as possible, and they want to be part of the orgy of wasteful spending.

But there is no-one out there that Wenger turned down who would have significantly improved his squad at a realistic price.
The Arsenal manager identified his squad's needs, filled them where possible, and refused to waste money when his preferred targets weren't available."

+1
No one will tell me the DM position is perfect and so that point is mute. There are better replacements who were available now. Next year comes around and I'd be surprised if their will be as many options on the market. This is why a lot of clubs realized it's best to spend now than wait when most quality will already be gone.

Arsene also has one more season after this. Is that enough time for him to buy a world class player to have him acclimated into the starting 11 - hitting the ground running? I'm talking the DM position and maybe the striking position.
+3
And what about the Welbeck injury? Did the guys at the club know he was going to be out for so long but we hid it in fear of receiving more pressure from fans to buy a striker?

I mean, serious questions need to be asked. If we indeed hid this and waiting till after transfer window to announce this it is unbelievably ridiculous. I some ways I understand the need to hide it in fear of prices going up because of desperation but there are a lot of questions that are looming here...
+2
Unfortunately, it was like you said. Welbeck had a surgery before the transfer window was closed. All knew.
Maybe Cavani is not star striker we all dream of, but he could help win trophies (not being in the shadow of Ibra or Suarez). "No sell-on value" would be a valid excuse for a trading company but was a lame one for AFC/AW.
+2
I'm not sure what good announcing an injury right after the deadline does. In fact, I'd say that makes it worse because fans would feel they were not told the truth, whereas if he got injured before the window closed then fans would still be upset that we did not sign someone but we would at least have been told the truth. Not sure that would be good fan PR. Doesn't make sense that they'd deliberately delay the announcement from a fan perspective.
On the other hand, maybe if we were really in for a striker, then it makes sense we delay the announcement. If we had said Welbeck was injured, price would've gone even higher for a striker.
I found a list of the most injured players in history of 21st century PL sorted by days.. That´s a lot of wages money. smhh
Abou Diaby (2156)
Tomáš Rosický (1188)
Theo Walcott (1030)

That´s 11,99 years of injury time between those 3! :O
+1
It sucks cause all three are really talented
Injury is in our club's DNA...
