"When asked about a potential move for Rabiot on Friday, Wenger told the press: "I'll put one answer. I'm not telling you."

I have a feeling, there's going to be 2-3 players coming in.

who knows, it might be none, this weekend wenger will be moving around a lot.
I think too much is being made about United's spending. Everyone knows that the squad, esp midfield, needs to be rebuilt from the ground up and more so considering the system Van Gaal wants the team to play. I mean the last team SAF worked with was the same average team Moyes had but just with better tactics (eventually the engine was bound to break). SAF knew the club needed a change and new players so that's what we are seeing.

People comparing them to City & Chelsea (in the media and what not) seem a bit off.

So, it's fine for United to spend money to RE-BUILD their squad, but City & Chelsea should be shamed for BUILDING their squad.
+2
Correct.
+3
@Moeb8: Correction: It's ok for United to spend THEIR OWN money to RE-BUILD their squad from the money they make from sales, sponsors, tickets; unlike City & Chelsea spending outsiders money to Build.

Their is a difference between making money from being big and becoming big from spending money.

Kiass in any business an investment counts as the corporations money....in the real world some investors invest more than others in order to reach a competitive level quickly. What exactly makes that Arab money not City's money. The club attracted the investment with it's high quality location..Manchester is a hell of a City. Foreign investors invest all kinds of money in businesses in England which has really aided it's economy. I don't see anyone complaining about that

But you can't deny it's unsporting that they lured players from other teams in the league (ahem, us) because they could afford to double their wages. They also had a major advantage in the transfer market because they could pay ridiculous transfer fees, contributing to the inflation of player values and pricing other teams out of any prospective transfers. It's like what Bayern did with gotze and lewa- if you can't beat them, buy their best players.

Please tell me, we are not the only Puma sponsored team wearing Puma superhero spandex drycell kits???

Why can't we get something loose with a collar like Dortmund???

Well maybe Puma will make us extra useless Christmas, New Years, and more random kits like the do for BVD too lol.

That kit is really nice though.
iam not a fan of tight shirts, but its suppose to help players, I believe.

But, no, we're not the only one, did you see Ghana, Ivory? etc. during worldcup? its a new technology.

and
Liverpool
Gunnerpera you get 20 points for a correct prediction + rank winning team - rank of losing team.
I think thats right, but the original post is a few pages back and explains it pretty well.
Liverpool & Soton
Eli5? :)
Yup, everything is based on the rankings before the start of the weekend to keep things simple. Which will inevitably create some "easier" points to be won but that's what makes it fun.
This is a really good write up on Rabiot and his history. The story also gives details about who is really behind his decisions. He had a brieft 6 month stint with Citeh then moved back to PSG. They had him play a bit part in games but he wanted more playing time.

Yah I did see something like that earlier on. It's horrible what they're doing if true. One more reason to hate the crap out of them.

Mesut Ozil interview from The Telegraph

Great great interview. My sort of style, digging deep into the mind of footballers.

What's intriguing is his blatant statement saying he doesn't like playing on the left (not exactly his words but close). He enjoys the righ and the middle where he can cut in and shoot or pass from that angle based on his left foot. In the middle where he can dictate final balls.

It's also fascinating how he gave Arsene so much credit and he's one of the reasons why he came here.

One thing of note, he's really bitter with the media and rightfully questions why are they so harsh on him.

Anyone with half of brain or more should read the article.
Anyone with half the brain shouldn't doubt ozils ability
"Tottenham have had a surprise £4.7million bid for Montpellier midfielder Benjamin Stambouli accepted". Talksport

Seems they've given up on Sneiderland :).
Isn't Arsenal in desperate need of a DM?
we're never in "desperate", wenger always finds a way; but yes we'll love to get a DM for the right price.
more need one for the future
Any links to the preview of the Arsenal under 21 vs West Brom game? Can't find a thing.
I had a dream last night the Theo was back and in his first game he scored a brace. It was like he was never injured.
I can see that happening if we play a relegation team in his first game back.
So Man United then?

omg, pahahah

Lmao, good job guys
don't worry wenger will screw it up :)
It's starting it that's the tricky part.
