Read on sky that overmars said Sanchez might return to Arsenal because he probably regrets going to United, lmao what a joke, I don't think any Arsenal fan would want to see his mug in an Arsenal shirt ever again, and what purpose would he serve now, he is clearly declining, not getting any play aging he should just retire at this point. It's a shame though, this guy has a lot of potential, but instead of fighting it out and working for the teeam, he went for cash and no silverware. Look at De Gea, that guy could have left for any top club if he wanted to but he is still sticking it out with his club. Imagine if Sanchez and Ozil were putting in a shift beside Auba and Laca? Yes you would probably still leak goals but you could be outscoring your opponents like crazy, similar to Liverpool before they got their defence fixed.

The fans clearly voiced their opinion when united came to the Emirates. But there's no way we're gonna pay him anything close to that he makes. Wtf is overmars smoking?

Wait wait wait. Are you saying that players should not move just for the cash? Isnt that how the new Man City came to existence? Do you see the irony of what you are saying?

I can't believe this is the latest talking point on this site. It's just ridiculous Sanchez would be a huge step backwards. Given his age he will be losing his pace. Without his pace he will be completely useless.
Only way afc will take him back is if man utd is paying all of his salary or a majority of his salary.
Good one Yaldho these city fans are too quick to forget

I think he suffered playing under Mourinho more than anything else.
I am interested to see if Ole gives him playing time this season to see if he flourishes under a manager that wants to attack and play on the front foot.
Case in point is Pogba. For almost two years he looked like the human embodiment of a donkey, absolutely useless under Mourinho. I did not understand the hype based on his Utd career up to date. Since Ole took over he looks utterly transformed.

That's not what I'm saying Yaldoh you should definitely go for the cash, but I believe with intent of getting silverware as well, I mean what is the point of playing high level football at a big club without nothing to show for it but cash. At least he was getting some form of silverware at Arsenal. Every player that came to City knew what we were trying to achieve, yes they came for more money but they came with a lot of ambition and will to fight for the club also which is more than I can say for a lot of the players that signed for United, but we will se in the seasons ahead.

What makes you say that players that signed for City when City was a mid table club more ambitious? Robinho? Adebayor? Toure? These players went to City for a 'project'. There was no history of trophies or success. So i dont agree with that distinction.

Not throwing it in his face but he is saying Sanchez should not have moved to united for money. Its not fair criticize a player when your club have taken advantage of the exact same thing. Like you said, money talks.

Money does talk but Sanchez wanted to go to win silverware but Utd where at a bad place, really suprsied me, when he choose to go to Utd out of all places. Although the money offered, hell I wouldn't ever refuse but what makes it so funny, is that his not really need at Utd imo. Utd, need a RW and they already have a top prospect in Martial on the LW. The idea he might end up leaving soon is both sad and funny. Would be surprised if Arsenal made a move for him. He acted like a complete bia**** before he left.

Utd have bought falcao, di Maria, Ibra, pobga martial mkhi and a slew of talent in the 6 years since Fergie returned. Clearly the club want the big trophies, I think Sanchez probably chose us because he had faith in the project and could see himself getting more minutes here than at City. Mourinho was a proven winner and we've won some trophies under him already. Personally with sane and starling in the wings, I don't even know why city went for Sanchez and mahrez, they don't even have space for these guys

I thought good managers are supposed to get the best out of players and not make them feel excluded. Emery's management of Ozil is disgusting. He clearly lacks interpersonal skills with certain players as evidenced by his tenure at PSG

Maybe their is something going on behind the scenes that people don't know about that Emery clearly sees from Ozil that he really dislikes.

If it's something personal it's still something that can be worked at. The guy just doesn't know how to manage players. He may be a proven tactician but he stinks at connecting with players and supporting them.
When you have a world class player at your disposal and yet you consistently start average players instead, then you really need to question the coach's management and decision making.

Every player is different, and you have to find a way to work it out.. Emery clearly cannot do it. It feels like he is not capable running big clubs, cause big clubs have have big time players with huge egos that you have to be able to work with. I dont care whats going on behind the scenes, you either work it out or go fukking public and say Ozil is not working hard or he disturbs the training.. this been going for waaaaaay too long..
If they wan to sell him, how they expect to sell him if he is not playing at all.. Play him, get him back in form and sell for decent fee..

I think Iwobi's biggest problem is his position. Whoever decided he should be a wide player ruined him. This guy does his best work when he moves from the wings into central positions. He's also a decent tackler and does a lot of pressing.
This dude is more like a Pogba then a winger for me..He's just not tricky enough to be out wide. If the fullback doesn't male the overlap to give him an easy choice he's done. I think he should have been a cm who bursts forward and joins the attacks like ramsey.

have you seen the way he looses the ball in the middle of the field!! I think the biggest problem is his mindset and decision making in the final third. He should not be in the starting 11 for a team like Arsenal, best as squad player.

he can only do so much linking 7 defensive players with front 2, especially when everyone knows that the only chances we create are from kolasinac.

For me if we are going to turn them over in the second leg..Unai needs to try a front 3 of Mkhytarian, Auba and Ramsey.

denis suarez though. seems like a poorer version of ozil, mikhi, ramsey and maybe on same level as iwobi. why the f**k did we bring him in.

Not sure if its true..but apparently that was their first ever ko round win in a european competition in their entire history

Its too early to judge Denis but I'm afraid he may be too soft for the EPL. He did not play alot this season at Barça which may explain his lack of fitness, still the few minutes he played yesterday were interesting, can't be worst than what we have ( Iwobi and Mkhitaryan's inconsistency).

Honestly when we're signing Suarez i expected to hear Ozil was going off to china or something. Now we have too many central playmaker types. It's too soon to judge if he is good enough. But what exactly was he supposed to fix when we needed either a winger or a new defender.

we should have been 2 goals up inside 5 mins. the lads may have thought its gonna be a walk in the park and completely switched off mentally. maybe the last 2 games v Bate (4:2 and 6:0) gave them that false sense of confidence. that said, no excuse for such a disgraceful gutless performance anyway

we need Ozil.. I know his downfalls and so on. but he is still better than Suarez.. Its just mad what is going on.. Emery playing back 3 again, its fukking annoying.. It was embarrassing..

I don't think you guys should worry too much about Dennis Suarez, its a loan deal until the end of the season, if it doesn't work out you just send him back to Barca.

From what I saw in a bit of the game was just complete disjointed across the board. Crap result. We better bring our A.game at home next week.

Pitch looked atrocious. Maybe it was too much for our high class asses lol didn't see lacas red card though. Justified?

From the highlights, it looked a decent performance. we had a lot of attempts on goal. unlucky not to score at least one. And lacazette's red was absolutely b******s. the guy had both his arms wrapped around lacazette. laca made a brilliant turn and was just trying to unshackle himself and play advantage.

missed the match, just watched the highlights. we scored 4 goals with a B team and some kids last season.
according to the coach we worked to stop them from scoring, while we are not efficient with our chances. small club mentality suited for mid table teams.
we may not be always good in last 10 seasons but we were always ambitious with our style and game.

We played like s**t offensively, AMN , Iwobi and Lacazette were horrible, still we managed to create 3 clear chances, one was a good save by the keeper from Mkhitaryan, other 2 were horribly missed by Laca.
It was one of those games where nothing was happening for Laca,he made alot of runs but our midfielders were incapable of finding him, and the few times they found him, he either miscontrolled the ball or made the wrong choice, so he started getting frustrated, thus his red card which was completely deserved in my opinion( minimum 2 games of suspension).
Guendouzi was one of the few who tried, and once Torreira,Auba and Suarez came on whe showed more urgency but it was too late.
Maitland Niles is un upgrade to Lichtsteiner, but he has been s**t lately ,both offensively and difensively.
Suárez played slightly better than last time, hope he will keep improving, dude is a softy though, I wish Saka was given his minutes.
We will beat them in 2nd leg, but we will have to play our 1st eleven.

Ozil left out of squad for Europa game, he definitely gone this summer. Not trying to hear he’s 🤒 🤕.

His wages might be too much, do you think your club will buy another player when they get rid of him? prolly not
