This is me, Ratboi's review of the season. This is mainly about where we stand as a club and what we can do to improve.

Lets start witrh gk and defence. I think we need a new goalkeeper, Szczesny can be unreliable at times and I feel the addition of someone like Mignolet or Begovic would be an improvement.

Our defensive partnership of Mert and Kos is a world class/title winning partnership. Gibbs could be the next Ashley Young and I think Jenkinson should be our first choice right back. Sagna has been, average and I feel that with Jenkinsons youth that he can offer a lot more enthusiasm and stamina. Im happy for Sagna to be a squad player at this stage.

Midfield. Arteta has been Mr Reliable yet again. Ramsey has shown improvements so my heart palpatates a bit less when I see his name on the team sheet. Keep him-but he still has a way to go before he can be considered world class. Wilshere, I think he would be better played as a CAM and would do a great job there. Cazorla, our player of the season by a long stretch!!World class creative winger/AM. Exactly what we needed this season. Podolski has done a job for us and has scored some quality goals in the process but should only be played CF as a last resort. Gervinho.....I still rate him because whenever I watch him play I think he does well. But he is clearly not a CF, he is a good winger though and could do even better next season if he improves his descision making. Walcott....is a winger, who can also score goals. I dont see him as the main man up front. Aginst weaker teams like Wigan he can do a good job, and can get down the line quickly and put in a cross or take players on. But against Newcastle he kept making the wrong descision, He kept trying to cut inside and didnt use his best asset(his pace), and he didnt make best use of the space/width available to him. Coloccini had him in his back pocket for the most part.

Giroud, offers another dimension to our game. I think he thrives on crosses and direct play as opposed to our usual short passing game. Although he has made some good runs which Cazorla has picked out...if only he could finish. Yes im aware he scored more than Drogba in his first season but I still dont think he should be our main man up front. I think the addition of both Higuain and Aubameyang would be excellent.

Here a bunch of players id potentially like to see at the club next season. Higuain, Aubameyang, Begovic, Mignolet, Michu, Jesus Navas, Marin(boy is world class but underrated), Pedro(if the rumours about him leaving are true), Fellaini(we should buy his release clause and at least try for him).

Is this happening? Do we REALLY need a CB now?
