"I don't think you would sell Sanchez to any Premier League club, that is for sure," said Frenchman Wenger.

"But as I have said, I think he will stay and sign a contract."
and?
And Juventus it is...
+2
No idea what will happen, but he looked a lot happier in the last two games
He's happy when we win and pissed off when we lose, it is that simple.

If we want him to stay we need to win games, win leagues and win cup competitions.

sounds legit ^
Can anyone please let us know. Which English team had the worst lot of signings? I'm sure we had alot of players, that couldn't contribute to the team or was just horrible signings to begin with? Anyone up to the task of naming the clubs and their worst signing, terms of quality and amount paid? Thought it would be an interesting stat to see.
Batsuyashi - never plays and expensive
Perez - cos he's so f*****g good and never plays
Bravo - lol
Stones - one for the future but right here, right now, been poor
Janssen - eh idk
Pogba - again idk, but with the hype he came with, i expected more tbh. He has done more playing with Juve colours
Wijnaldum - doesn't seem to be a player i see being with them for very long
Mustafi - very strong start, but after his injury been quite poor. Would like to see him in the back 3 though

Every player Sunderland bought
depends what period you want covered...

you could go backwards a bit further to find those loved and never-forgotten gems like:

Denilson
David N'gog
Bebe
Soldado/Paulinho

some where cheap (and it bloody showed lol) whilst others cost a considerable sum (£28m for Roberto Goaldado).
12m Cristiano Bebe only bettered by 22m Depaldo
Chelsea:

Hernan Crespo - Great player but only featured 49 in 5 years; cost £16.8m

Juan Veron - £15m

Shaun Wright-Phillips - £24m

Andriy Shevchenko - £30m

Mutu - £15.8m

Torres - £50m
Mutu was quite good till he got busted doing blow.. But then he tried to sue the club afterwards, so i guess yeah he was a crap signing.
^ i thought he only tried to escape from not paying his transfer fee back to the club. Did he sue the club too?

I'm sure Pogba will come good. His attitude on the field is right and with better quality players around him, he will shine

Though not a transfer, Falcao at a mouth watering 300k/week wage was no less a disaster for both Utd and Chelsea
SWP was £24m? I did not know that...

Torres cost a ridiculous amount but he was instrumental in winning the UCL with you, wasn't he? In hind-sight you could argue that it was money well-spent?

i dont understand some people. especially those from other clubs who come here and say we keep changing our minds after 1 win etc. No body is changing their minds so where do these guys get this information? its like we are not allowed to enjoy a win and not allowed to be happy when the team wins because we supposedly dont support them when they loose. some of these guys are soo stupid. most gunners fans i know and i know alot are not changing their minds after the 1 win. it's just helped our fans be more together.

we know 1 win does not fix anything and neither will the FA Cup trophy. The issues will still remain. But that doesn't meen we dont wanna win the FA Cup!!! Im a wenger kroenke gazidis keswick OUT etc.

but if wenger stays and shows signs of change, such as in transfer purchases, buying worldclass players, ability to change tactics in game, changes in him being too soft on players, us being too predictable, changes style of play at some levels, mentality and most IMPORTANTLY if he starts REVERSING the damage that has been done by consistently winning games and transforming Arsenal to a team that is at a barca, real, bayern level then we would all love him to stay. even changes by the owners such as investing in better scouts, better policies, changes in stadium allocation to make it more hostile etc..

but most people cannot imagine that happening.... and im pretty sure it wont happen; unless the clubs ambitions changes from the root levels up to the owners right down to the manager and the players.

98% of wenger out people love wenger and are sad at how he's getting treated but at the same time Arsenal FC is bigger then Arsene Wenger and the shambles we have been in year after year is not something any arsenal fan should accept. we forgive the stadium years and we accept some of it is wenger being the scapegoat but at the end of the day he has a say in the players he buys and how the team plays and of late it really has been the worst ive ever seen... then we get told we have loads of money now so we will be competing with bayern barca etc... performance 10-2????
at some level the fans abusing the players seems to have had some form of effect. Im going to love reading wengers book one day

for all we know we could sign allegri or simeione or someone else and we could be ending up winning the PL, or UCL, or FA Cup etc. or it could go the other way and a new guy could struggle like guirdiola is, but at this stage alot of managers could keep arsenal in 7th place in the league. this is the lowest we have ever been under wenger if we finish outta top 4 (i hope we do make top 4 but looks like its gonna be a tough fight even with our spare games in hand)

sorry for the rant but dont get why other supporters come here accusing us of jumping the ship everytime we win or loose.

Thank you.
Seriously footytube has tied our hands to say some things to other team fans :D.
Absolutely fantastic post man! I have nothing to add to that.
if you read my comment really well absent any sentiments, you'll understand that I didn't do or say any of the things you are suggesting. and to say " some of these guys are so stupid" well thanks
''no disrespect but you guys sure change your mind or get carried away at the slightest bit of change.'' -TheWinninBridge
Are we still Wenger out?
Not sure about you but I still think it is best for both parties that he step down after this season. And I'm saying this with much respect to him and what he has done for the club. I just hope that he can end it with a trophy.
If he extends I will not be angry but if he leaves I will not be upset (aside from the usual expected feelings of sadness when a 20+ year legend of the club calls it a day).

Before the Middlesborough game, I wanted him to call it a day at the end of the season and take some well-earned rest. I thought he had lost the dressing room months ago when we were on a bad run. The players were playing so far below their known ability that I thought they had thrown him under the bus and just wanted a change.

However since switching to a 3-CB defence, the players suddenly are playing with more hunger and desire. I was watching Ozil put in sprint after sprint and even trying to tackle. If they can do this when the manager is under pressure, why didn't they do it before?

If he does stay another year, I hope he persists with this 3-4-3 / 5-4-1. It has given us a bit more presence at the back and rejuvenated the players.

If goes, I'll be grateful for the years of hard work he has put in and hope he gets a statue or some special recognition (maybe name a stand after him) from the club.

no disrespect but you guys sure change your mind or get carried away at the slightest bit of change. I was watching Arsenal Fan Tv and reading some fan comments on other forums and it just appears as thou once he loses again, people will be Wenger out again.

The players are showing some fight thou. but from a neutral's perspective, City were a little hard done by the ref. could have been a different game.

so my question as an outsider is,

Had City's goal stood, would you guys have still wanted the team to continue with 3 at the back?; would you still be wenger in?

just curious as all. Arsenal players deserved to win in the end .

On this forum, the guys who want Wenger Out are definitely clear-minded, they do not change their minds with a win or loss.

I see it as only a one-way mind-change, to be honest. If you defend Wenger, it gets harder and harder each time the team play like a bunch of school kids who don't like to get a boo-boo on their knees. The longer the team flounder, the weaker your position gets.

Once you make the jump to the Wenger Out band nothing, except for winning the league, will convince you that he can take the team to a new level. The convincing, confident performances are now the anomaly, rather than the odd slip-up.
For me it depends on who we can get to come in. If we can get a manager like Allegri or sampaoli then he should call it a day.

This club needs to transition to a new manager while there are still some good managers available. If we can't get guys like that in giving wenger another year till they become available isn't the end of the world. My real beef is kroenke
Out. Are we all this gullible? It's the same exact cycle season after season. There are freaking charts that accurately depict and predict what's going to happen and when lol. I don't know about you guys but I'm sick of it. Ohhhh, Wenger changed his tactics...ok probably half a season too late. What would've happened if our fan base wasn't going ballistic? I think it'd be the same broken record and the same formation. One thing that absolutely KILLED ME yesterday was seeing Pep on the touch line coaching his players. There was no body occupying the manager's box for us. That in itself is a damn shame. We're playing in a new formation wouldn't you think you'd have to guide the players at least a little bit??? Win the FA cup, go out on a high Arsene. I love you man. Please stay connected with Arsenal in some way, but it's time to find your successor.

WENGER OUT!

2 wins and people want a new 2year contract is a joke
+5
U know what's a bigger joke? U lot having the same thread after every single game... Just like this club. It's stale and boring move on fgs
+3
its a joke how our fans dont have abackbone. AW hasnt made this team compete for a title in over a decade. Its unacceptable and we need a change. Most gooners needs to grow a pair
I just like how craig burley says 'spineless' when he refers to arsenal fans. That to me is better entertainment than aftv for all other non-arsenal supporters.
I think that was more of a rhetorical question and to some degree Filsuf is taking the piss or just joking round.
Just a thought don't you think if Wenger leaves Marco silva would be a great choice?
ermmm why..
this win felt really good!! my boy OX !!!!!
Btw, wtf was on Bellerin head?
I think he changed hair cut style as he didnt play well with his old... Players are very superstitious, athletes in general.. so he decided to change it up..
It's a girl, man. Gotta be. The only time I had a ridiculous hair style growing up was b/c I let a girl do her thing with it so I could...kids, ear muffs, get some action.
+1
and did you? ;b
On another note though, Ox is really OWNING that RWB spot. I dunno where bellerin would fit in a 3-4-3 formation
Thug lyf...bellerin looks like he can also play well as a rwb. He just went through a rough patch in form
Giggity giggity giggity

ropes?
fair play..defied all the odds..bit of luck, but good fight to come back and win it.
Indeed. And speaking of odds I thought it was funny that on the digital banners going around the pitched it said, "Aguero to score next 4/1" haha I think he did too.
Very happy for Kante whos won PFA player of the year
+6
Such a humble lad
I would be happy for him if he played for Arsenal ;D
lol anyone will have him in an instant
Chelsea literally signed several league titles when they bought him
Messi celebration maaaaaaaaaaaaaaad

And what better team to do it against than your arch rivals 😂😂😂😂

Also his 500th goal for the club.
