Agent Ox doing his job well
+2
Man he really blew that game. Still too early but its looking like a good decision to sell him. He looks like a player with no confidence at the moment
Nevermind, he is a Liverpool player now.
2 draws and 2 defeats for Liverpool after signing OX and Arsenal have been moving upwards ever since he left....Agent indeed!

Lol that laugh
I just watched the highlights of him, is like OMG!!! I dont think he ever played that badly for us, may be except for his last performance against Liverpool... 40 MIL!!! what a steal ;D
Yup 40m was a great deal. Just hope our fan base has had it's fun and we don't go all the way yo the nasri treatment.
To be fair nasri is a c**t
Typical Spurs, trying to be Arsenal and being much worse.

You'll feel better about AFTV after this:

I kinda like the wanyama part 😂😂😂😂
That was so cringeworthy it hurt 😂😂😂
Wtf I just watched... wow
Any MLS fans?

Awesome to see that ATL United set the record attendance for 70k people. Pretty cool to see and to be honest I would have never imagined that occurring as fast as it has.

Now if only DC United could not be an embarrassment lol
Toronto FC baby!! The best team in the league, even though im not watching them. but they represent my city ;)
SEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATTTLE! SOOOOOOOOOOOOOUNDERS! I love my hometown team!

I was happy when Seattle got a team in 09, but my 8 years later, the league has grown so much. I don't watch as many games as I use to but so many teams with proper stadiums now like Houston, San Jose, Orlando, Atlanta and next DC United. Soon they will get their stadium Audi Field which will look really awesome. I hate RFK stadium and some teams tend to go through a big re branding when they get a new big stadium.
Dani: Im in the same boat as you 😂

Now: Yeah and I hope DC does that. The Audi Field looks so sick

I’m glad the league isn’t coming along but for me it’s hard to watch. I don’t know if it’s bias but going from watching the Prem to watching MLS is difficult to say the least. In order for the league to really catch up where it matters, they need to shift away from the American model of professional sports. Not having good academies and forcing kids to go to college really has us as a football nation play catch up
MLS is a very physical league so it's similar to PL in that respect. The level of play has increased a lot so it's promising. My hometown team the Impact entered the league in 2012 and the quality has improved a lot since then and better players have joined since then as well

As for the North American model well I think it's kinda of a dilemma. What's fun about the mls is that anything can happen. Any season any team can win. I think last year Chicago fire were second last in east and this year they are 3rd. Having salary cap and financial restrictions prevent one team or a few teams to dominate all the time. In the meantime if the league wants to become one of the best in the world they need more investment.

The academy system has just begun it will get better in time I'm sure. The impact has only recently opened an academy and already we have a few young prospects
Dallas has the best academy but yeah I really hate the college system. Players coming into the league at 22-23, some as late as 24 years old. Teams need to promote from within the academy and probably draft late bloomers from college but if a player is good enough at 16-18 years old, he needs to play in the league asap! If he gets even better, move him on to Europe.

As for the growth of the league, yes they need investment and lots of it. Relagation/Promotion will not work in MLS atm, it would drive investors and future owners away from the league but for a league that is 20 somethings years old, its coming along really well.
Xgoon I really hate your DP ;D;D
+1
It is creepy isnt' it. Maybe we should all relieve him of his misery and have him change it. It is making the Arsenal page look like a trash can. I almost did not visit the page couple of times to avoid that DP. Hideous

I am on the verge of misusing mod powers to delete his DP (it might happen by mistake and then in that case it won't be a true misuse)
+1
It's the price he's gotta pay if he wants to be the footytube ornacle!
He still reckons Lemar will come.
HE WILL COME DAMMIT
^^ Why do you keep on making these bets that you lose?

A fool and his DP will soon be parted..
Welbz out for 4 weeks.
Sauce: Telegraph

I hope this doesn't turn out longer.
Speedy recovery to him. Had a solid start to a season after a full pre-season.
Will that means, we finally will see Alexis and Lacazette play together?! I think we still will get trolled ;D
I like Welbeck and Lacazette together. Welbz passing is great while Alexis is more direct.
out 4 weeks means he'll get a 2 week set back minimum.
Every time he gets into good scoring form, he gets injured
Symptoms of diabynitus? Really does seem like everytime he cements his spot in the team he gets injured
Good work from Danny Boy. Hopefully he's back mid November firing again. Alexis....you're up.
Don't get why they decided it was ok to give us a game on monday when we will play on thursday soon after. Hope we will Sanchez and Lacazette starting games together soon
To the people complaining about Ozil, read this:
http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11670/11032005/are-ozil-criticisms-fair

Nobody has created more chances or had more assists since he got into the PL. He is the best assist provider and chance creator in the league since he joined. And that is with Arsenal not having a clear designated finisher like Aguero, Costa, Ibra, Kane or Lukaku.

The stats are clear, the criticism is harsh. He does work and create chances. Look up on Squawka, even this season, he has more key passes and chances created per game than Hazard, De Bruyne, Silva or Fabregas...
It LOOKS like he doesnt run but again the stats are clear, he is right there with the rest of the team and has run the 2nd most kilometers in the team last season.

Anyway, the stats never tell the whole story. I understand he can look frustrating at times because he doest play the English style of football, rarely tackles, etc.
Maybe though, a lot of people should consider that his style of play, although it isnt what they are used to see in the PL, doesnt impeed him to be efficient and to be clearly one of our most important players.

The numbers speak for him, his technique and set pieces as well.
Only case on Ozil i think they have a point is his abilities against the big teams away from home. We do look more capable of causing without him in those ones. Not against him starting every game except for those ones. Ozils contribution in games we are more likely to dominate the ball is second to non
+2
People compare Ozil at Arsenal to Ozil at Real and conclude that Arsenal got a player that is a shadow of his old self but they forget that assists don't happen without someone to finish the chances. Ozil at Real had Di Maria, Ronaldo, and Benzema around him. Ozil at Arsenal has to put up with Podolski, Welbeck, Walcott, and Giroud (yes there is Sanchez too but I'm making a point here).

It was similar to people complaining about Pogba last season when he created a billion chances but we sucked at finishing so Pogba looked like a waste but his key passes and chances created were up there.

Ozil is, unfortunately, a victim of his running style more than anything else. Berbatov had a languid running style and he sometimes got crap from our fans too but thankfully he was in a perennially winning team so he had more fans than detractors. Ozil stands out like a sore thumb because Arsenal don't pull a result through as often as the fans would like so someone has to take the stick.
+3
Ok so ozil ruins a lot... which makes sense why we're constant victims of counter attacks. He's dragging himself out of position too often. Stats can certainly be interpreted many ways just as anything in this sport. The reason I get on his case is because he gives up 90 percent of the time when plays break down or he loses the ball himself. That crap is contagious and effects the players around him. I hardly see him dig in and do the dirty work. Just because he's amazing at assisting doesn't mean he can't work on improving the weaknesses in his game.
+6
Shaymoose
He should improve on his tracking back, everybody agrees on that. But bottom line he is one of the most important players of our squad with his assists and general attack play.

Just him not tracking back is overshadowing all the good that he brings to us, hence my post.
It isnt as contagious as you think it is, it's just that our defensive organisation isnt great, it's been like this for a long while now, with or without Ozil.
It's not just tracking back, it's covering other players' positions and having their back when they need help. It doesn't seem like he plays as a unit, but more as a team plus Ozil. I don't get it. I do think it's contagious because why (if I'm his teammate) would I work my socks off when the guy next to me isn't? It's not effective and it will put me in the mindset that all my hard work of closing down will be ineffective if the guy next to me isn't closing down as well. It leaves passing lanes open and is easy for teams to work their way out of a press. So it's easy to just shy away or just simply not give 100 percent.

I thought mustafi had left haha
Im glad his head is straight
same
Solid Performance, Ramsey on his day is quality but when he's having a off day he is just bang on average. Needs to build on this performance and be consistent.

Glad there was no Ozil today, we're basically playing with 10 men when he's on the pitch.

+3
He has looked good this season. I actually picked him up for fantasy for the next 5 games or so.
But I prefer the version of Ramsey that plays for Wales though. Twice better than the arsenal version despite inferior team.
Ramsey is literally Arsenal personified.

Can be absolutely amazing sometimes yet so often frustrates and disappoints you. You just don't know what you're going to get.
+1
The Ramsey of Wales will come next year imo, once Ozil amd Alexis leaves, he will play (finally) in that advanced position like he does for Wales. And since by then he'll also be in his final year, expect ballon d'or performances from him
I wonder how long Welbeck is out for.
hope its minor.. he was great
It is a groin injury. If it is bad he might be out up to six weeks according to google.
Just in time for Sanchez's return to starting 11.
