Pellegrini confirmed that Kompany, Silva, Kolarov and Zabaleta Out for Arsenal clash.

No choice but to make it happen gunners. Hopefully fatigue will be a factor,

Meanwhile I definitely hoping for another Mané's hat trick ! 2nd Place still reachable.

Cheers,
I think Arsenal should reconsider getting rid of Giroud. Yes his not been reliable these past 6 months. But at the end of the day, the guy is our leading goal scorer with 20 goals followed by Sanches with 16. Wenger said at the beginning of the season he was expecting the goals to come from Giroud, Walcott and Sanchez. Of those 3 men Walcott is the only one who failed to enter double figures. Giroud looks so much more natural attacking the ball in the box than walcott ever does. When it comes down to it i think fans(in England) are not on Theo's case as much as Giroud, cause Walcott is English. I really wish we would sell Walcott instead for a proper striker who can play on the wings and use Giroud as back up

Good backup striker, yes. Keep him! Walcott must go. He only shows up when negotiating a new pay raise. Unfortunately he's Wengers pet. It's not too bad if he stays though. I remember him missing the world Cup 6 years ago. Spent the summer working on his game and showed massive improvements thereon
What do you guys make of Sanchez? Was it fatigue this season?

The guy had a full season, then WC2014, full season, Copa America, full season... And now Copa America again. They are organizing a special Copa America for the centenary of the competition in the US.

Chile starts on June 7th. At least, he'll supposedly have July to rest but it'll be pre-season and surely he'll be training with the others as he seems not to know how to stop...

We need him on top of his game, this season he was missed. I hope Cazorla can stay fit and Ozil maintain this season's level.
A lot of great South American players suffered cause of the Copa America, especially the finalists. Kane and Vardy wouldn't be close to Aguero if he didn't struggle so hard with fitness. Expect him to get an extended leave again
Copa is bad for Alexis. But great for ospina. Dude needs more games. BTW is Costa Rica paying in the Copa?

Arteta going to join his old friend Pep at City... WTF they still nicking our stuff man
Since 08:
Adebayor
Nasri
Clichy
Sagna
Toure
Arteta
Only one I was bothered about was Nasri since he was close to being WC with us... But yeah that went downhill lol
I think you're the only person bothered by Arteta joining City. I thought he was going to join Pochetinho's coaching staff
Well it's never great to lose a player to a direct rival. Sagna's departure was a mistake imo. We let him go and had to buy Debuchy instead, and it didn't turn well at all. Sagna on the other hand is pretty decent for City right now.

We'll see about Arteta but he might be an interesting rotation option. Certainly more interesting than Flamini...

^that mistake led to the rise of Bellerin
Nah. I think Bellerin would have come through anyway. Sagna can't start every game anymore and Bellerin would have come in at some point and show what he's about.
Sagna was getting old. Can't risk relying on an ageing fullback. They are unpredictable. Some can cope others become useless. That's wasn't a bad move.
i'm bothered
How do you guys rate El Neny since joining? Im not sure we have lost with him starting in the league yet, and when it comes to distance covered, he's at the top... A solid 8/10 from me, a diamond in the rough found by Arsene
+1
Tidy hard working and intelligent player. But needs to add a bit of flair to his game.
8/10 for me too and considering he came from the swiss league as well he's been a bargain.
+1
I would say 8/10 as well.. Very impressive so far, no flair but efficient.
solid player but still needs to work on his distributions
solid but the kind of guy I want as a back up.

we have another hard-working guy in ramsey, so I would want want more X-factor in midfield. that said, he might work well with cazorla/wilshere.
I wish we could combine Coq and Elneny qualities into one player. A tough tackling ball distributor with good long range shooting. Something like Kante?
9/10, the on best deep mid in our team this season for us. coq is a 10/10 for sure, pure protection ;)
He's been great for us, He adapted quicker than I thought he would
I like how he reads the game. Knows when to give us width and when to tuck inside. Looks reliable so far so 8/10 for me as well
Decent! Not great yet hough... Tactical awareness isn't on point yet, but that needs time. For him to join in the middle of the season and show displays like he did the past few months shows good promise. He needs to step up his decision making. I like the fact that we're having shooters in the team now: Ramsey, Sanchez, Elneny, Ox are never shy to hit. Campbell, Ozil, Wilshere need to work on that a little bit.
I feel like if we signed him in the summer instead of January we would be holding that title
Mertesacker is out for the rest of the season
But Jon Snow is back from his anterior cruciate ligament injury ;)

Any thoughts/views on how we will line up next season? formation ?
Oh! I thought you meant next match, not next year.

Assuming we don't sign anyone, I'd expect us to revert to the lineup we had so much success with in the first half of the season:

Cech
Bellerin Mertesacker Koscielny Monreal
Coquelin Cazorla
Ramsey Ozil Sanchez
Giroud

--

Second Team

Ospina
Jenkinson Chambers Gabriel Gibbs
Elneny Wilshere
Walcott Iwobi Chamberlain
Welbeck

--

Notable Others: Campbell, Rosicky, Arteta, Flamini, Akpom
+1
In terms of strengthening, I think the obvious choice is to find a world class player, whatever position that may be. We've added Ozil, Sanchez, and Cech in back-to-back seasons so another big name would be very nice.

Beyond that, if some players leave (eg: Flamini), we may need to find cover either from the outside or from the academy.

If we don't sign anyone up front / if one of our strikers (eg: Walcott) leaves, I'd expect Akpom to play a bigger role next season.
after seeing how our season imploded this season, no way we are going into the next season with the same team. there needs to be change, world class change :3

looks like flamini and walcott are on their way out. same for arteta too. not sure of rosicky though. wojo might still be at roma on loan again next season.

real challenge is gonna be be needed. bringing in the wc players into the team.
Part of me wants to see akpom make it at arsenal. But Wenger really can't afford to keep gambling on the future on the last year of his contract. He must get a proven goalscorer. Like what Fergie did for his last season - buy the best striker in the league no matter what the fee and salary demands are.
For me we need to sign a striker, winger and a center back. Those are the key areas that need strengthening. I don't see a lot of people here seeing the wings as a key area to strengthen. But i just want us to get a real winger for a change. Not no.10s who can play out wide or wingers who are confuse about being CFs. Just one more quality dribbler who can cross. We are relying too much on Sanchez's fitness.
After City game arsenal players will have selfie🏆 arsene mentality have transfer into the players.
+1
Considering that Liverpool may turn 4th place into a Europa league spot(if am not mistaken) A good result there might just warrant selfies. It can't be doom and gloom throughout one of the lads might end up with a very weird cancer if they do that. Let them have something to cheer about
