Haha, I'll be there too Ryan, supporting Brugge of course. But I'll welcome Toon fans with wide open arms!
Apparently we're about to sign Jelle Vossen en Maarten Martens.
Would be a real improvement for the team. Imo these are the kind of signings that could give us the push needed to be real title contenders. Although I think the full back positions should be a priority.
I don't know how much of these rumours are true, so I wouldn't be suprised if it's complete bullshit lol

Second place isn't that bad after all. I really hope Georges Leekens can bring us back to the top of the table.
If we keep our squad together and get a decent right back, we do have a chance to really compete for the title next season.

Second place is pretty great, yeah. When Daum took over I really didn't see an improvement, until the moment he said 'you build a house from the foundation, you don't start with the roof'. I hoped he'd be able to keep his promise, and he duly delivered. He re-built the team and now we have a much more stable squad, able to bring attacking football while remaining solid at the back - which is the best kind of football.
I agree, I'm not a big fan of Leekens as Daum's successor.
Daum really wanted to improve the club and demanded a lot from his players, staff and the board. But apparently the board wouldn't or couldn't fulfil his wishes. Also he looked as someone with great care for our club and fans.
As for Leekens, he is someone who always puts up a good-news-show, but never really aims for the best possible and settles for 'just good enough'.
I think it's weird since Bart Verhaeghe's motto basically is: 'the sky is the limit'.
Things I would like to see next season are:
- a good attacking right back
- the young midfielder from Rosenborg, Henriksen
- Stenman to be fit

Club is sick. I thought laying off Koster was a big mistake, and I still do. We haven't improved with Daum that much, except just defensively. But at a cost of losing nearly all of our creativity and will to push forward. I'd be surprised if we ended in the top 3 this season, even though we have a team to compete for the title.
I also keep being amazed at how we spend on attacking players when we have enough already, and not on any sort of good full-back when we clearly need one. What the hell is that all about? With one good left or right back, who has the ability to bomb forward when we're in possession and is reliable in defence, our team would make a massive leap forward. It would offer us much more chances in attack, while finally having a stabler defence.

Rumours are we're interested in signing Victor Vázquez from Barça. His pass, skill and shot would be great to add to our squad.
Confirmed! Awesome; the new board is really showing they're ambitious, and attracting the right players too.
