I did wonder why a number of questions were so similar:

1 Overall, my football team is viewed positively by others.
8 In general, others respect my football team.
15 Overall, people hold a favourable opinion about my football team.

All of these questions seem to ask the participant whether the supported team is viewed favourably by others. I'd somewhat expected a distinguishing question about the opinion about the club or about the style of football played, but it seems all questions inform merely about the team itself.

The same goes for these questions:

2 I feel good about being a fan of my football team.
9 In general, I’m glad to be a fan of my football team.
16 I am proud to think of myself as a fan of my football team.

&

2 I feel good about being a fan of my football team.
10 In general, being associated with my football team is an important part of my self-image.
17 My football team is an important reflection of who I am.

&

4 What happens to my football team will influence what happens in my life.
11 What happens to my football team will have an impact on my own life.
18 Changes impacting my football team will change my life.

Perhaps you're simply trying to see whether people are consistent in their answers, or perhaps there's the degree of severity in these questions that differs? Actually, on hindsight, I bet it's the latter. My bad.
