As for the game- first blowout. Then blackout. Then the Ravens started to WIPE OUT. But eventually we were able to HOLD OUT for the win. I was so casual after we went up 28-6.... The lights go out and most fans sensed that it would only help the 49ers regroup, after we had them down on the ground, tapping out. The last moments of the game involved sweating off half by body weight. I don't remember the last time I was SO exhilarated to hear a final whistle.
And NO- it was not pass interference.
I am cautiously optimistic about Llorente- on his day, he can be superb.... But he is also known for many anonymous games. Is he world class? I think so? - he hasn't been tested outside Spain, and our style of play would require him to be good with the ball at his feet rather than exploiting his obvious aerial prowess. In all honesty, I still feel like we may need a little bit more, because both Milan teams are re-tooling.... The acquisition of Balotelli was BIG.... For now at least (I'm hoping he has his first tantrum before the end of the season- I don't need Milan starting to believe that they are NOW good enough to challenge us again.)
Having Asamoah AND Chiellini back will be like having 2 NEW signings- not only will it boost confidence, but we will play so much better and efficiently. Until then, I am glad Peluso does not look out of his depth.
I haven't been able to check on the Serie A fantasy since late October due to my "busyness" but will try and work on it this week- if there is ANY chance of me making a comeback, then I WILL be looking for it.
Excuse the long rant.... I am glowing from being a SB champ for the first time in 12 years!
On a brighter note, Juve just set the record for most points accumulated in a calender year (94) in Serie A history
This year has been an awful fantasy season for me: for the first time EVER, I did not make the playoffs in my football fantasy league (after winning it last season, much to the satisfaction of my fellow players); footytube fantasy has been cursed because without Messi on your team, you are forced to watch everyone pass you by.... And I haven't been on the Serie A fantasy for a little while- will try to get things sorted after Christmas; hopefully I can make a late charge later on.
As for the Giants this weekend, I fully expect your G-men to come in and handle business against a reeling Ravens team whose quarterback is looking like Sanchez and whose defence couldn't stop a nosebleed.
By the way, we got celtic!
