Don't take Threk's tirade personally, he has to make these arguments to our own fans enough times and in honesty, I think his arguments are based on good logic.
One thing you might be interested to know, Arsene Wenger broke our transfer records several times to bring in big players in the past but that was before the stadium move and he had the backing of David Dein to force transfers that he wanted.
Personally I don't think he's lost the will to compete but I do feel the board have placed restrictions on what he can and cannot do.
Hope you haven't been discouraged from the Arsenal forum, it can get heated like that occasionally, especially regarding topics that split our own fan base in half.
