I thoroughly enjoy seeing United fans accuse the mod community of bias considering the longest serving and most prominent mod is a United fan.

Gameweek 38:

Though I love how well Eden has done in his first season!
So many naysayers at the start of the season.

WOOOOOO!

I'll take some kettle please :)

Yea, nothing too bad. Just some comments meant to incite, and the occasional agitated response

Also for the record, I'm not a dumbass; it was trolling.
Even if you wish Spurs to be in top four.

So a reminder, this is trolling. Please stop.

You really removed this comment and the following discussion?
1. Didn't post it on the Liverpool page
2. It's a fact Everton is the number 1 in Liverpool. Credit to the Toffees for an amazing season. What's wrong with that?
3. There was no fight. Just a little discussion without any insulting or hard feeling
4. So footytube decides, for which themes there are grounds for conversation? It wasn't even offtopic
5. I respect Mods and their hard work. Without it most of the pages would be a mess. But sometimes it seems you footytube mods are very fast removing comments or stop discussion. As in real life I don't think it's the right path to handle people like that. And even from a stupid or or controversial comment a great and interesting conversation can start.
6. I respect footytube rules and will follow them
Just wanted to give my cents
1. You're correct, but since you bring it up, I also noticed you posted a snide remark about how at least Everton don't overspend on poor players and that was on the Liverpool page. I then saw your post regarding Everton and Liverpool on the premiership page, and I will admit that the existence of the former impacted how I dealt with the latter. But, I agree with your main point, you posting on the prem page was not you acting as a troll. However....
2. Facts can still be grounds for trolling. Part of trolling, and what we don't allow on this site, is instigating fights between other users. While your original comment was not a trolling comment, it opened the field for other users to fight. And they did. You may not have seen the comments I saw when I decided to moderate, as there certainly were users insulting other users and the like.
3. I disagree. I saw enough for me to moderate
4-5. I see your points, but in this case, I didn't delete a comment because I didn't agree with it or because I didn't think it was fit for conversation, I deleted it because I already saw users fighting in the replies, and I would expect more to continue to do so. On the Liverpool page, a user made a comment referencing it, that was proof enough to me that it would agitate other users enough to continue to go back to the replies stir up more conflict.
6. Please do. You know, as per the conversation in the status appeals forum, that your second chance here can be terminated without warning if the mod community adjudges you to be breaking the rules, and honestly, your dig at liverpool on the liverpool page was probably enough. But I appreciate you taking the time to come to my wall and talk with me. So just as a heads up, comments like the one on the liverpool page are classified as trolling, and any in the future will be met with your second chance coming to an end.
But if they quote me and make fun about my statement and Everton, shouldn't it be my right to answer in the same manner? Even so it was on their page.
My statement "at least they don't overspend for average players"(Besides Suarez and Sturridge) is sth. 90 % of the Liverpool-fans moan all the time. ^^
So my statement on Liverpool page is illegal, at Premiership page neutral (as long they don't start a fight) and on Everton page totally OK?
I really don't understand, why some users are so sensitive. Teasing, digging and some trash talk is part of football without any hard feelings. Maybe some users never experienced that as I did playing football in a club and having some stadium experience.
Just last week BVB-users called us "peasants", accused bayern leaking the Götze-deal (which is a lie) and insulted us on their page and even on ours. But nobody of our Bayern page took it seriously. Because we know, that they were hurt from that deal, which I understand. On Barca and Real-page a good conversation is possible. But when it comes to the EPL-pages it seems very explosive. ^^
But I will try to stay away. But as it seems one day I will dig back and my footytube journey going to be over. As long as Bayern finally wins the champions league I'm fine with that.
Cheers!
-Please "reply" to this comment, rather than start new ones if it regards WHR
-For this one time, I will not worry about language/community guideline rules or anything. You can say whatever you want to me as long as it is a "reply" to this comment. Again, you can talk to me however you want. But you must follow the community guidelines if you direct comments towards other users.
Timeline:
1. I logged on to footytube for the first time that day
2. Immediately, I had 3 different users sending me messages on meebo about a post WHR just made on the Spurs page(One user was a Chelsea fan, the other two were not Chelsea fans)(At least two of the users were Americans)
3. The three users were all telling me that WHR just said something horrible involving wishes of death and allusions to terrorists similar to those allegedly involved in the Boston Marathon attack
4. I looked at the Spurs page and saw the post in question
5. I deleted the post in question
6. I deleted the posts from several Chelsea users who took offense
7. I deleted the posts from Spurs fans that continued to fight back at the Chelsea users in ways that violate our community guidelines
8. I copied the original post and pasted it in the Mod forum for review
9. On the Spurs page, WHR asked me what was so bad about what he said, and I responded by saying that his post was grievously offensive due to the wish of death and the allusion to terrorists similar to those involved in the Boston Marathon attack
10. After some discussion, several mods agreed that this post was significantly out-of-line, and as per a pre-existing agreement between the mod community and WHR, we found the post to be grounds for an account removal.
11. WHR's account was removed
Facts:
1. WHR was banned due to breaking our community rules after forming an agreement with the mod community that he would get one last chance provided that any additional issues would result in an immediate ban
2. The mod community actually allowed WHR more than one chance after we formed the agreement with him. Just a few weeks ago WHR got into quite a large fight on the premiership page. This fight involved several members, but WHR was one of those at the center of it. At that time, a vote to ban WHR came up. After much deliberation, the mod community decided that rather than lose some prominent members of our community, we would significantly increase moderation on the premiership page.
3. Essentially, we decided to blame the Premiership page rather than the members involved. WHR earned a ban that day, but we gave him another chance
4. As several mods have already said, WHR has received a record number of warnings and second chances. He is maybe in the top 5 most warned members ever on footytube.
5. The mod community intentionally gave him so many chances because we recognized his importance and value to both the Spurs forum and the website as a whole. We tried our hardest to avoid banning him.
6. However, there comes a time when even the longest/most valuable members have to be held accountable for themselves. For example, Mr. Bloom/Original. When Bloom was banned recently, the Chelsea community responded very similarly to how the Spurs community is reacting to WHR's ban. The major difference is of course that I, a mod who happens to be a Chelsea fan, was around to assure the Chelsea users that the mods were being fair. In this case, the timing is unfortunate because Magneto recently decided he needed to leave the site for personal health reasons. Regardless, in both WHR's and Bloom's case the mod community actually gave them more chances than what could be considered fair to other users.
7. Let me repeat that. WHR was given WAY more chances than most users because of the fact that he has a long history here and because we know how active he was on the Spurs forum. If my integrity (or the integrity of the mod community as a whole) can be called into question here, it is because we didn't ban WHR sooner. Just as with Bloom.
False "Facts":
1. Some are saying WHR was banned for racism. This is not true.
2. Some are saying that WHR was only banned because Magneto wasn't here to stop the mods. This is not true. Magneto was my best friend on this site, in fact, he nominated me for this mod position. It simply isn't true that I or any of the other mods took advantage of Maddy's absence here. We respect him more than that. We respect the entire user population more than that. In fact, when that Premiership Page fight I previously mentioned went down, it was Magneto suggesting we vote to ban WHR. For more info on this, see the post CloudSt made on the Spurs page; Magneto gave Cloud a statement to post.
3. Some are saying that the mods treat Spurs users unfairly. This is untrue. It is my understanding that a few years ago, there was some really unfair and wrong events done to the Spurs page. However, the mod community is now made almost entirely up of people who were just normal users back then. In fact, I would guess that 80% of the current mods are users nominated for mod positions BY Magneto. Maddy had a large role in selecting most of the newly promoted mods. There simply is NO WAY that we are involved in some sort of unfair or unjust practice regarding the Spurs users or Spurs forum.
The gross purchase difference between man utd and city as well as man utd and chelsea is 200 million and 300 million respectively, that's huge man! 200 and 300 mln can buy you 1 messi + 1 ronaldo !
Secondly, on a per season basis, we spend only 10 million, that's twice smaller than city and almost three times smaller than chelsea.... (but our club, history, reputation, etc. Are not twice or three times smaller than them, we are even bigger!)
On the other hand the difference between us and tottenham is only 3 million per season.... That's a very small difference considering how much bigger man utd is compared to tottenham....
Hence, assuming this list is even accurate in the first place, it actually supports my argument!
