Don't worry about that, Chelsea's not really too popular over here. Curious to see how they'll do though. Personally I think Courtois is a possible future best ...

He likes scoring against you lot though :) 4 already if I'm not mistaken

I'm Belgian and a Genk fan so have seen him quite a bit. He's a great talent indeed, wouldn't surprise me if he's better than Marin. Nice little Belgian colony ...

Should be an easy choice :)

We were missing Wilshere, Song, Diaby, Sagna, Gervinho and Vermaelen today. Our squad might be seriously depleted, but our first XI are far from s**t.

Haha, bandwagon crap, great assessment.
Nasri should probably be in there as well, above mentioned players.

All of that is arguable, but even assuming it's true, that still doesn't make Modric a better player than Fabregas :D. Cesc's been topping the European assist c...

Kompany's not even in there, whilst Di Maria, Sahin, Cavani, Pastore, Vidal and Inler are... What have these guys ever done on the big stages? Most of them have...

Modric last season: 41 apps, 4 goals, 3 assists
Fabregas last season: 35 apps, 9 goals, 17 assists
No contest really. Spurs are also back in Europa League ...

Once Wilshere and even Diaby and co. are back we'll be pissing all over Pool again.
That's not to say we don't need reinforcements though.

You know, it could take a whole day of conversation between us for me to tell how much I was personally disappointed at some level with how some of our players have reacted towards Cesc's transfer to Barca (add to that all the issues on diving and acting.... Lol). But the MOST important thing here is to realize that, while many blame ''FC Barcelona'' as a whole, sometimes it's not the whole that should be penalized but the ''individuals''.
If you don't mind baring with then, i'll take the example of Dani Alves who classified Arsenal as the ''economic class'' and Barca as the ''business class''. Now that was very cheap and insensitive of him towards a club that has had a good relationship with Barca, but it's also about to lose their captain and key player. Plus, wth gives him the right to qualify Arsenal as ''economic class'', right!? Arsenal even though they've not won much lately, has had a run many clubs in Europe can only dream of. And even when we've met, we've played against a bunch of kids that gave us (each time) a real and good fight. If anything, they deserve respect! And that's certainly not too much to ask.
So while still on the example of Alves, I want you to realize that am addressing the issue (mistake) of an individual and not of an entire club as, after all that fuss, the club (as a whole) decided that none of its players was allowed to respond to any question in regards to the ongoing negotiations of Cesc. Now that was the step FC Barcelona, as a whole, took in regards of the respect due to Arsenal.
Some of our players were clearly at wrong! But it wasn't a general issue to tag on the entire club. It's just the same among fans. Some fans are very rude and careless in their choices of actions and words. And those who come across that type of fans tend to generalize by saying stuff like ''fan from that club are all alike'' while the truth remains that it's sometimes an individual issue.
Anyway, I am an Arsenal fan in disguise and I know Arsene and Arsenal will prevail!
