Fan valuation is a mysterious opaque box. The reasoning behind it and how it works aren't really known to anyone but the devs. It is however based on how you use the site, including comments, videos, goal of the week nominations, forums participation and what have you. It is quite possible that your account ranked high in a "new account, good usage of the site" phase, where most new accounts see some very good valuation indeed. It then stabilizes a little based on an aggregate value.
All this said, I wouldn't worry about it too much. Fan Valuation is now a defunct system that isn't really used for anything. It was once used to help users in Dreamfooty, but that has been scrapped. The devs are currently working on a new system to quite possibly replace both FV and the current voting pie chart.
