Well I'm glad to hear you have nothing personal against me, I apologise if I misinterpreted your comments. Maddy has filled me in on the stuff that happened way before I was a mod and I can understand your point of view, I was actually on Skype with Maddy when we saw that comment and we both laughed at it but the issue was it was about an hour after the loss to Blackburn and there was a really foul mood in the Arsenal forum, I assumed it would be only a matter of time before someone responded in anger and caused a riot. The Premiership page while a common forum I agree, is honestly a lot worse at the moment than any other page on the site, the amount of stuff that is reported and the lack of tolerance on there is just sad. The Scholes, Lampard, Gerrard discussions in particular are just one huge headache. I am lobbying hard to increase tolerance across the site as well as increase accountability for staff when it comes to removing comments, taking action etc, which I hope will in turn lead to better interaction and tolerance across the entire site. Adding forum topic threads on the side of the Premiership page was the first step of this, soft moderating without wielding an axe is next, which includes removing anything potentially inflammatory and explaining why rather than an anonymous deletion.

Regarding the other users coming into your forum and having discussions I understand it must be tough with a small fanbase but we can't stop them if they're posting decent comments or asking civil questions, which I guess could be very frustrating for you. All I am really allowed to do is make sure any pointless or annoying posts are headed off quickly to maintain the quality of discussion about Spurs amongst the fans, both theirs and yours. On the topic of reporting comments, yes I am in full agreement that the majority of fans on this site are far too thin-skinned and most likely quite young, however every forum has those type of users and in ratio to the amount of fans of the club, there are probably as many Spurs frequent reporters, as there are Arsenal ones, United ones, Chelsea etc. Unfortunately we also have to cater for these sensitive ones and that at times can result in having to remove comments that are funny to everyone except those not born with a sense of humour.

Hi, in the interest of not filling the Spurs forum with text and the fact you don't have meebo I will post here. I read your complaint and issues regarding me the other day. I did respond but since it is now buried under the celebratory comments of your win over West Ham I will post it here instead, along with Magneto's response after my post. I would urge you to look past the club I support and evaluate me as just another human being, based on the context of my reply instead. Lastly I cannot stress enough that I am a "Footytube" mod, not an "Arsenal" mod and I will moderate fairly regardless of what club the user supports. I have no hatred of Spurs or any other club and never have, I became friends with Maddy on this site after he thanked me for coming into the Spurs forum and telling several Arsenal trolls to crawl back under their rock and I wasn't a mod back then. Chances are you'll see me this weekend during and after the match, telling Arsenal fans to stop posting in your forum unless it's in goodwill. Anyway here's my reply which I hope helps to answer your questions of me:

Is your dislike of me based on my modding or the team I support? I'm a human being just like you mate I just prefer to wear red and white and you prefer white. Regarding the comment I deleted, I actually found it funny but as a mod and owing to the close frequency between the loss in the Cup match and the Arsenal forum blowing up, we both(Magneto and I) felt it would be a matter of time before someone with more sensitivity took offense to it. I had hoped that by explaining my reasons when I deleted it that you would understand but clearly that isn't the case. My comment was basically apologising to you for having to remove it for the sake of keeping the peace. As a mod I have to cater to the sensitivities of everyone on the site.

Concerning Arsenal trolling comments, please report them, it's not crying to do so, it's effective. There are many many pages on this site for us to have to watch over and we can't be everywhere at once. Rest assured just because I'm an Arsenal supporter does not mean I won't tell them to bugger off if they're genuinely being annoying but I can't delete everything mate, we have to have some tolerance of other clubs, even major rivals, have you any idea how many Spurs users comments are posted in the Arsenal forum? We are working towards encouraging tolerance of other clubs fans on the site, people should be able to contribute to discussions on different pages. This idea of just Spurs fans posting on here is a bit extreme, provided they aren't trolling, users should be interacting with each other more.

Lastly if you have any problems with a user, a mod or yours truly, please don't hesitate to come talk to me, maturely, as adults. I'm a human being just like you mate, regardless of who I support.

I feel I'm caught between two friends here, both who at this point, aren't aware of each other's contexts. Zilchy, I just updated things to you on meebo. North, trust me please, Zilch is one of the good mods and he is one of those rare ones like me who actually tells people he's deleted a post and alerts them about why (like in your post on the premiership page). We've both gotten a lot of abuse for it (some members here might remember a guy that was racially abusing me for basically doing my job). But we've kept at it and we keep trying to bring transparency so we don't end up with an issue like 2010 again. As a result, both myself and Zilch (and Cloudst and Jestaynwa) have posted a lot less on our forums. But we're striving to make things better for everyone, even if it means our input is lowering everyday.

Please do take my words into account. Goes to everyone. Else we might as well stop trying
