As far as my DreamFooty squad, I had the same problem you did when I started - no fan valuation, no extra money to get solid performers. I knew I definitely wanted Arshavin and Fabregas to build my squad around. I picked Zhirkov thinking he was going to get some play time, but between his injury and Ancelotti keeping him on the bench, it's been a bad pick so far. However, he'll probably start soon since Cole and Bosingwa are both injured, and the ACN is coming up too.
Torres would have been really nice, but then I'd have a team of only 9 players. Too bad we can't have more than just 2 players from one club - I'd like to have both Vermaelen and Van Persie.
When the next transfer window comes up, chances are I'll trade Maxwell and Rodwell. Maybe get a couple of good subs if I can afford it.
I also noticed I didn't get any points for the Copa Del Rey matches the other day. That's lame, but oh well... I'm not going to throw a fit about it or anything... Maybe FootyTube will catch up.
I do really feel bad for Liverpool this season. You guys have a really good squad, but between the injuries and the string of losses, you've been terribly unlucky. But, correct me if I'm wrong, it also seems as though half the team turned their back on Rafa and just gave up. I feel bad for him too - he's about to lose his job. Mascherano is also leaving... It's a pretty tough time for you guys. Surely your unlucky streak has to end sometime soon. The title race just isn't the same with Liverpool out of contention.
