Stale had a tough start because the situation in the club with the media environment was rather tense, due to the new sportive manager 'Finke', the general sportive and financial situation of the club and so on.... Political stuff.
Thing is, Stale is a likable guy, humorous and determined at the same time. I think the general opinions remained divided, because you could see the team struggling with his concept, but we managed to sail in calm waters for a while. The style of football we played was pretty ugly though, passive and helpless on the fullback positions.
As we´re dropping in the table and facing relegation once more, people are getting restless again. Thing is that we clearly lack talent if Podolski can't do all the jobs on the pitch. I think the fans get frustrated with the same mistakes we make in every single game.... And some of them are due to Stales System. We play very passive in the center positions in the Solbakken-System and the right and left fullbacks constantly allow crosses. He didn't change that 442 System once or made any adjustments to our vulnerabilities. Personally I think he should show more tactical flexibility, but I give him that our team lacks talent for higher ambitions.
People are desperate for better football here and above all.... They've had enough of relegation battle. I`m skeptical at the moment that he has both the player material and the tactical insight to accomplish.
