I manage to get to old trafford a few times every season, as its only 45 minutes on the plane, and inexpensive with a low budget airline, I can go watch utd for around £130 all in, that's plane, supporters bus, who I travel with when I get to england, as my nephew who lives theres gets me my tickets, and I travel with his supporters club from bedford to old trafford on their bus, they go to every game, home and away.
So I'm lucky in a way, and I don't need accomodation as I have loads of family in bedford, and stay with them, then usually fly back the next day, my last match was man city, with waynes wonder goal, I was behind that goal when he scored it.... Amazing skill
And me and my son were lucky enough to be in the stretford end when we hammered roma 7-1, what a night that was, their fans were scumbags
