Luis Suárez has been suspended from all football-related activity for four months for biting Italy defender Giorgio Chiellini, meaning he will miss Liverpool's first nine matches of the Premier League season:

Manchester City v Liverpool 23 August
Tottenham Hotspur v Liverpool 30 August
Liverpool v Aston Villa 13 September
West Ham v Liverpool 20 September
Liverpool v Everton 27 September
Liverpool v West Brom 4 October
QPR v Liverpool 18 October
Liverpool v Hull 25 October
In total Suárez could miss 13 matches: nine in the league, one in the League Cup and three in the Champions League.
Suarez's first match back for Liverpool could be in the fourth round of the League Cup, which is due to take place in the week beginning 27 October. He could return in the Premier League on 1 November, when Liverpool travel to Newcastle. He will also miss Liverpool's first three Champions League games.
Liverpool's chief executive officer, Ian Ayre, responded to the suspension by saying: “Liverpool Football Club will wait until we have seen and had time to review the Fifa Disciplinary Committee report before making any further comment.”
