Sergio Ramos warns Manchester United of Real Madrid's confidence

• Match-winner against Barcelona in good heart for United return
• 'We will go to Manchester convinced we can go through'

Real Madrid's match winner in their 2-1 triumph against Barcelona, Sergio Ramos, believes his team will face their Champions League second leg against Manchester United on Tuesday with confidence.

He said: "The desire is to eliminate United at Old Trafford but we will go to Manchester showing great respect to our opponent. Psychologically the team has strengthened after the clásicos but we will go to Manchester convinced we can go through. We know we can go through."

Madrid's assistant coach, Aitor Karanka, said that the victories against Barcelona in the Copa del Rey and La Liga had come at an ideal time. "Many said our season could end this week but it didn't affect us. We come out of those two matches a lot more motivated and with much bigger desire. It's clear that these five days with these two games are the best we have felt all season."
