David Moyes will allow Wilfried Zaha to go out on loan as the Manchester United manager will soon have Ashley Young available again following a shoulder injury.
On Friday Moyes said that he had to weigh up his options for wide positions with Young and Nani being injured.
The Portuguese, who has a hamstring injury, may be out for a while but Moyes can welcome Young back shortly so, providing there are no complications, he will allow Zaha to leave until the end of the season, with Cardiff City the likely destination. Moyes is keen that Zaha should play regular first-team football.
Young has been out since suffering the injury in the 2-1 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford on New Year's Day and Moyes said: "Young's injury was from the challenge against Tottenham that we wanted a penalty kick for, but it's beginning to look as if he could be available and ready as well. We're beginning to get a few people back."
Marouane Fellaini is due to have the cast on his wrist removed following surgery on his ligaments; he has not played since the 1-0 home defeat by Everton on 4 December. Phil Jones, who has a knee injury, is also close to a return, having been out since the 3-1 home win over West Ham United on 21 December.
Moyes said: "Fellaini will have the cast taken off his hand on Monday. I've heard one or two people say it was only a wrist injury but it was a serious wrist injury that needed a major operation. It was bad. It could have been for the rest of his life so we had to make sure he got his wrist sorted properly.
"He has been able to do lots of running and lots of training but not anything with a football. Hopefully, next week, we will get[him] back. Phil Jones has had a problem with his knee. He's getting close to being available."
