• Serie A club fined €25,000 by Italian league
• Match officials had to temporarily halt game
The racist chanting aimed at Samuel Eto'o by Cagliari fans on Sunday has cost the Serie A club €25,000.
Cagliari were fined the sum by the Italian league after match officials opted to temporarily halt their game against Internazionale just three minutes in due to the level of abuse aimed at Eto'o.
The Cameroon striker went on to score the only goal of the game to give Inter a 1-0 win.
Eto'o no longer brings his family to watch him in Italy due to racist chanting.
