GREAT presser with Emery over Fazio being pinched by the Spurs:
http://www.insidespanishfootball.com/121445/emery-fazio-is-worth-more-but-these-are-the-rules-of-the-game

"How wonderful it is to win the Europa League… what a joy! Later though, there’s collateral damage. We can’t rejoice at the loss of valuable players like Rakitic, Alberto… but we have to replace them and we will. We’re aware of that and it’s a task we’ll take on. They were important players, but those who will arrive are too. Sevilla is above any arrival or departure of any individual player."
Fazio was just named captain of Sevilla, and Spurs are possibly paying the minimum 10m release clause.
One day before the season starts.
Damn Prem. Turning into the MLS.

Last year, Sevilla purchased our captain 1 day before the season began (causing a memorable loss in our 1st match), but wasn't hostile or aggressive about it.
Anybody else notice that Atleti has done alittle bit of revamping to there squad?

Griezmann, Mandzukic and Raul Jimenez from Club America.

They might not match up to the Clasico pairs spending but they are not going to sit idly by and do nothing about it. Credit to them... bring it on!

Thanks, was not keeping track of them!

But they signed the bad-luck charm Ochoa, and they now look like relegation fodder. :(
Super Copa final two legs.

Aug 19:
Madrid v Atleti

Aug 22:
Atleti v Madrid

League starts Aug 25 for both clubs.
Wow.
I'm hoping that fatigue gets the better of Madrid as the season unfolds, what with 2 supercups and the fifa world club cup as well. Unfortunately fatigue will affect Atletico too :/

Things look exactly the same as last year. Only Madrid have the depth, all others (Barcelona included) won't be able to survive the full season intact.
Fixtures have been released:
