The city of Milan has Awoken!

At 38 years old, Hellas Verona forward Luca Toni will have to share the 2014-15 Capocannoniere title with Inter Milan's Mauro Icardi after the Argentine bagged a brace in his side's 4-3 win on Sunday.

Italian player is a like an old vintage wine...the older the better....

Must top up on previous post...imagine Allegri wins CL after he has been slated, humiliated, by everyone, fans, press, pundits just a year ago...
So, why was he right for Juve?
Lot of people praise him now, but I believed the team was capable of this 2 years ago, or 3 to be really honest (really wanted to see that Invincibles team in CL).

I think where Conte got jaded by restrictions and trying to top his last season, Allegri started from absolute hate so he had nothing to lose. He put the team in a more attacking formation and there you go.

But, if he only wins the Scudetto he won't be any better off than Conte last year.
Feel he also gave them the freedom to express themselves. Conte was too strict and too rigid and it felt like the players were so afraid to take players on because they didn't want to make a mistake and upset the manager.

I don't agree that if he only wins the title he won't be better off, Spigy. He has reached the final of the CL! How long has it been since Juve did well in Europe, especially THIS well? On top of that, he's in the Italian cup final too and won the Serie A weeks before it ended.

I agree with you Jeroen even though we had a few close calls on our way to the final, our performances always looked like a glass half full, you could see it in the players even, last year Conte really poured cold water on everything before it even started.

Also Spigy we saw the hammering that Bayern handed us, Our invincibles did not have the quality to compete with that team but that fell more so on the management cause they dissapointed in that first summer with their lack of intent in the market. I remember that game, it felt like we only had two thirds of a team, no attack.
Also we wouldn't have been able to come this far with our 352 either no matter what.
But then again if he fails to win the cup it would be a huge dissapointment. Unforgivable almost even if it's from a corner again but I gotta say that I am so happy we are back in the final after all this time.
Allegri thrown up in the air in celebration.

Who would have ever guessed when he took over from Conte

Unless we mess up in the league run in the coming season, i dont see Max gettin the sack now

Yes earlier in the season, the whole juve forum went in disarray for a while, but sought to give him a chance, we let it be. Now its a different story. Lets see how far Max brings this Juve team till.

As for Juve, its time to make a mark in the European stage now more than ever.

The good thing for Allegri is that unlike Milan, we are on the rise and can afford to have a manager like him. He kept the team on level, but things will only really start when he starts signing players.

So far he didn't do anything revolutionary. We all knew that we are miles ahead of the rest of the league, but most Juve fans feared Allegri would drag us down. Plus Roma started great.

In my opinion a truly revolutionary coach will have the courage to bring in the Young talent we have in our ranks and make top class players out of them.

The 3 most important players I have in my mind in order are Berardi, Rugani and Zaza. He already kinda did that to El Sharaawy at Milan but let's see if he would do it here.

Another topic that We have yet to see is shifting the formation to 3 man wide attack after Tevez leaves. A 433 since our Midfield is made out of 3 CMs would be ideal. We lack penetration on the wings in comparison to other top European teams and since we can't buy the likes of Reus for 60 mil, we can only buy them young and develop them. I believe in Berardi we already have the best RW we can have, a young LW and we would be set with Morata as the ST.
Legend!
